A Day in Heaven, a Year on Earth

Su Yu had been sleeping when he suddenly sensed something and sat up.

At that moment, a man dressed in a white-and-yellow dragon robe appeared before Su Yu. Su Yu smiled. "The dignified Heavenly Emperor of the God Realm actually descended to the mortal world. What a rare guest."

The Heavenly Emperor looked at Su Yu. "Who exactly are you? You are not from this world, are you?"

"Does it matter who I am?" Su Yu asked.

The Heavenly Emperor froze for a moment. "Of course it matters. You entered this world without the Heavenly Dao’s permission. Aren’t you afraid the Heavenly Dao will kill you?"

Su Yu looked at the Heavenly Emperor. "Enough. Aren’t you the Heavenly Dao?"

The Heavenly Emperor’s pupils contracted as he said in shock, "How did you see through me? That shouldn’t be possible. A Heavenly Dao incarnation shouldn’t be recognized…"

"That explains it. I was wondering how I could have been seen through so easily. Lord Dominator, would you like to come to the God Realm for a cup of tea?" the Heavenly Emperor asked with a smile.

Su Yu thought about it. "I’ll give you some face. It’s boring staying here anyway."

The Heavenly Emperor immediately made a welcoming gesture. "Please, my lord."

Su Yu waved his hand. "No need to be so formal. You don’t have to call me ‘my lord.’"

The Heavenly Emperor shook his head. "My lord, you are a Dominator. Even though I am the Heavenly Dao of a world, I should still address you as my lord."

Su Yu nodded helplessly. He knew it was not because of a Dominator’s power, but because of the contributions Dominators had made. That was why all the Heavenly Daos of the Myriad Realms addressed Dominators as "my lord," much less the Myriad Realms Dominator.

No matter what, the Heavenly Daos and the Myriad Realms Dominator were on the same side.

Su Yu and the Heavenly Emperor arrived in the God Realm, and the Heavenly Emperor immediately had someone prepare tea and food.

The Heavenly Emperor naturally knew who Xue Jian was. He nodded. "Yes, but do you want to know Xue Jian’s origins?"

Jing Tian froze for a moment, then nodded.

The Heavenly Emperor then told them about Xi Yao and Fei Peng. Jing Tian said angrily, "You Heavenly Emperor are far too heartless!"

Xu Changqing said, "Heavenly Emperor, could you have someone take me to the Heavenly Pool? We also came here to deal with this box."

The Heavenly Emperor nodded. "Someone, take Xu Changqing to the Heavenly Pool."

Su Yu hesitated, wondering whether he should say anything. After thinking it over, he decided against it. So what if the Evil Sword Immortal escaped? Dealing with him would not be troublesome.

A heavenly soldier then led Xu Changqing away. Shortly afterward, the fairies returned with the unconscious Tang Xuejian. The Heavenly Emperor immediately had someone pick a fruit and feed it to Tang Xuejian.

Jing Tian and Tang Xuejian looked at each other and nodded. Then someone led them toward that sea of flowers.

Su Yu looked at the Heavenly Emperor. "Do you know about the Evil Sword Immortal?"

"Then if the Evil Sword Immortal escapes, will you destroy him?" Su Yu asked.

The Heavenly Emperor gave a bitter smile. "Lord Dominator, I cannot destroy the Evil Sword Immortal."

"Seriously? You can’t even destroy a minor villain from your own world? I’m starting to suspect that you’re a fake Heavenly Dao," Su Yu said speechlessly.

The Heavenly Emperor said helplessly, "My lord, people say the Evil Sword Immortal is a lifeform outside the Six Realms. What that really means is that he is not a creature of this world. The Evil Sword Immortal is a cancer among the Myriad Realms. Such cancers are immune to any attack from the Heavenly Dao, but others can kill him before he matures."

Su Yu stroked his chin. He had thought the Heavenly Emperor had not destroyed the Evil Sword Immortal in the original story because of arrogance. Apparently, that was not the case.

"Then make your preparations. The Evil Sword Immortal is about to escape," Su Yu said with a smile.

The Heavenly Emperor looked completely dumbfounded. "What? Didn’t Xu Changqing already take the Evil Sword Immortal to the Heavenly Pool? The water of the Heavenly Pool can destroy the Evil Sword Immortal."

"That kid Changqing released the Evil Sword Immortal," Su Yu said with a wave of his hand.

The Heavenly Emperor suddenly wanted to curse. He had dared let Xu Changqing go to the Heavenly Pool alone because Xu Changqing had always been steady and reliable. He had never expected things to develop this way.
