Chapter 490: Nine Deaths, One Life
“Kill him! The remnants of the Heavenly Court must not live!”
The pupils of those few people constricted; some unleashed ancestral techniques, some brandished long spears, and others furiously swung their Dragon tails, all attacking Lin Fan.
They seemed to sense something, each one incredibly serious, exerting their full strength, determined to ensure Lin Fan’s demise here.
“Heh, too late!”
Lin Fan sneered, his abdomen glowing as one door after another opened, merging with each other, spewing out endless vitality, and he rapidly recovered.
However, an anomaly soon occurred: a black Qi also emerged from within the doors, attempting to corrode his Physical Body and infect his Divine Soul.
In fact, this was not black Qi, but turbid Qi; it not only hindered cultivation but also made one’s spirit turn mad.
Once a living being absorbed too much of this turbid Qi, besides being unable to advance further in their entire life, their Lifespan would also be greatly reduced.
However, Lin Fan was not worried, because within some doors, clear Qi was also emerging, purifying everything and opposing the turbid Qi.
Furthermore, the two different types of Qi, one descending and one ascending, subtly achieved a balance.
This was the human body, like the great Universe outside, also in balance, containing vitality and also possessing deathly stillness.
Most miraculously, the turbid Qi released by the portals connected, sinking to form “Earth,” while the clear Qi ascended to form “Heaven.”
It looked as though a world had been opened within his Dantian.
Additionally, when a limit was reached, after constructing “Heaven and Earth,” the two gases, while opposing each other, also began to merge.
Soon, a new type of Qi formed, misty white, filling the space between Heaven and Earth, incredibly sacred, as if Immortal Qi was pervading.
Lin Fan called it — Qi!
At the same time, this Qi was not simple; it contained the most primordial energy of the Universe, the source of life, and once activated, it possessed unimaginable power.
“Boom!”
Immediately, Lin Fan utilized this Qi, not only repairing his Physical Body with surging vitality but also unleashing endless power.
At the same time, Heaven and Earth trembled, and various auspicious phenomena appeared: rosy clouds, streaks of Immortal light, falling overwhelmingly.
Then, sacrificial sounds echoed, as if comforting ancient ancestors, and the ancient corpses that had appeared earlier all vanished, returning to their graves.
Furthermore, True Dragons soared, Divine Phoenixes danced, White Tigers roared… various Immortal Dao True Spirit imprints manifested, creating world-shaking anomalies!
Even on the ground and in the Void Realm, numerous medicinal herbs grew, golden lotuses bloomed one after another, as if one had arrived in an Immortal Realm.
…
For a moment, there were simply too many anomalies, one after another, dozens in a few breaths, making this starfield sacred.
However, all these Heaven-changes were due to Lin Fan taking that step, initiating his own system and Dao.
“Kill!”
On each golden grand Dao, the standing figures all went mad, all taking action, unwilling to give Lin Fan another chance.
“Perfect, I’ll use you all to test how strong my newly created system truly is!”
Lin Fan roared, brimming with confidence, his demeanor Supreme, his Qi swallowing mountains and rivers.
He had opened the first step of Qi Refining — the Qi Sea, which was equivalent to rebuilding his Great Dao Foundation, and his strength had undergone a qualitative change, becoming extraordinary.
Although he had not reached Perfection, lacking some minor details, these could be refined in the years to come; his true Divine Might could already be displayed.
After all, the doors within his body were the fundamental source, and opening so many at once granted unimaginable power!
“Clang!”
Suddenly, before they could engage in another battle, a startling change occurred: something crashed down from the sky, releasing immortal light!
At first glance, it was very sacred, with thousands of auspicious rays, hazy and peaceful, like an Immortal Treasure falling to the mortal world.
However, when Lin Fan saw it, a chill ran down his spine; it was completely unlike looking at a treasure, more like seeing a great terror.
“Execution Platform!”
At that moment, Lin Fan recognized it, and goosebumps rose on his skin.
He had seen this object when he crossed Heavenly Tribulation in the past; at that time, it merely emitted a wisp of Qi, without truly descending, yet it nearly took his life.
That alone showed how terrifying it was!
Now, this Dao platform had truly descended, hovering closely above Lin Fan’s head, instantly making him feel a chill all over his body.
“Has it finally come…” Lin Fan muttered to himself, looking at the side blade on it, extremely wary yet seemingly having anticipated it.
It wasn’t that he was boasting; he had even experienced the Myriad Dao Diagram, so it was only a matter of time before this thing came knocking, as it was specifically prepared for Heaven-Defying beings.
Originally, cultivating with one’s body as the seed was already going against the heavens, let alone his current creation of a cultivation method; it would be impossible for it not to come for a strike.
Of course, his preparation did not mean he underestimated the Execution Platform; on the contrary, he was extremely wary, wishing he had never seen it.
From ancient times to the present, countless heroes had died by its blade, even True Immortals were not spared, otherwise, why would it bear the words “Execution Immortal”?
“Boom!”
The next moment, the Execution Platform descended, neither far nor near, emitting terrifying light, directly suppressing and confining the area.
Lin Fan was startled; his body couldn’t move. Indeed, he had still underestimated its true power, not expecting it to be so abnormal.
Fortunately, the several beings present, comparable to the descendants of the Ten Vicious, were also immobilized, which made him slightly relieved; otherwise, he would have become a lamb to the slaughter.
Of course, there was no difference now, merely dying a few minutes earlier or a few minutes later!
“It seems I can only endure it!” Lin Fan sighed, saying he wasn’t nervous was impossible; in a sense, one strike meant certain death.
Especially when the blade’s immortal light was contained, it carried dark red bloodstains, like a demonic weapon that had drunk the blood of Supreme experts!
The killing intent was chilling and surging!
“Clang!”
Finally, the Execution Platform stirred; the blade trembled, emitting a harsh metallic grinding sound, like a death knell from Hell.
Then, the dark red blade slowly lifted, rising into the sky, glowing anew, more dazzling than the sun, with Immortal Qi surging.
“Whoosh!”
At this moment, it began its execution; a figure was restrained on the Execution Platform, one of those few people, and they were also undergoing punishment.
With a crack, the blade fell, and blood splattered; this person was cut into two, making Lin Fan’s heart pound.
“Boom!”
However, these people were formed by lightning, so even if they died, it was nothing major; they merely transformed back into a sky full of lightning and disappeared.
But Lin Fan was different; he was a true living being, with flesh and blood. What would happen if a blade struck him?
In a moment, heads continuously rolled here; those few young Supremes had their necks severed one after another, and then it was Lin Fan’s turn.
Moreover, he couldn’t even resist; he couldn’t struggle. Immortal light, like chains, wrapped around his body, forcibly restraining him onto the Execution Platform.
“No way, I can only do my best, no… I will definitely get through this!” Lin Fan roared, cheering himself on.
At the same time, the blade emitted a brilliant light, accompanied by immortal mist, and as it lifted high, it descended from above.
“Pfft!”
Immortal light scattered, and a pool of golden blood splattered; unlike the beings killed before, this was real blood, which would not turn into lightning.
One could see Lin Fan’s head rolling down from above, like a ball, his body separated from his head—a gruesome sight.
After one strike, the Execution Platform dimmed, no longer dazzlingly bright, and confined the area, as if its mission was complete.
However, did Lin Fan just die like that?
