A quarter of an hour

The Old Man in White Robes suppressed the anger in his heart and focused on his Alchemy.

Whenever he saw Qin Ming's nonchalant attitude, an unnamable fury would rise within him, making him want to kill the boy regardless of the consequences.

Qin Ming stretched out of boredom. This divine artifact alchemy furnace was of no use to him; at most, it would be placed in the Qin Family as a decoration.

While a divine artifact alchemy furnace was good, it was ultimately an external object. It could be very harmful to an Alchemist's grasp of the true Profound Truth of the Dao of Alchemy.

Therefore, even if the Qin Family produced alchemical talents in the future, Qin Ming wouldn't mind if they used it.

“Alright, let's start refining. The sooner this ends, the sooner I can go back to Cultivate.” Qin Ming took the spirit plants out of his ring, slowly placed them into the alchemy furnace, and just like before, directly ignited the fire to begin Alchemy.

The Old Man in White Robes glanced sideways at Qin Ming and sneered inwardly. Refining like that and managing to succeed once with a perfect elixir was just an accident.

Refining like that again? To think he could produce a perfect elixir once more was simply too whimsical! Heaven won't always be on your side.

“It's finished.” Qin Ming yawned boredly and spoke lazily.

“Hmm?” The Old Man in White Robes looked toward Qin Ming's alchemy furnace. Sure enough, the fire inside had already gone out.

The Referee also looked at Qin Ming's alchemy furnace. After a moment of thought, he walked up to Qin Ming and said, “Qin Ming, don't be discouraged if you failed this refinement. There is still time; you can refine another batch.”

“No need, thank you. This batch of Medicinal Pills hasn't failed; it's already finished.” Qin Ming smiled, sat cross-legged on the ground, and began to close his eyes to rest.

“What's going on? Why did the Huayu Sect Sect Master sit down? Has he given up?”

“I think I heard him say that he has already finished refining.”

“That's impossible. I can't even stir-fry a dish that fast. How could he be done already?”

“…”

The audience buzzed with discussion seeing Qin Ming sit down. This time, no one mocked him. After all, during the last refinement, they also thought it was impossible for him to succeed, yet he had produced three perfect stage Medicinal Pills, slapping their faces until they were swollen.

Zhang Chongtian sat in his chair in the contestants' area, his brow furrowed as he asked, “Just who is this Qin Ming? Why can't I see through him?”

“Alliance Leader, there is no need to worry. To finish refining in a quarter of an hour is absolutely impossible unless one is possessed by the Pill God.” The Young Man behind Zhang Chongtian stepped forward and bowed to offer comfort.

“Ever since I encountered Qin Ming, nothing has gone smoothly. This cannot continue. To be safe, go prepare some men for me.” Zhang Chongtian ordered, a thick killing intent flashing in his eyes as he stared solemnly at Qin Ming on the stage.

He always felt that this person was his nemesis; since meeting Qin Ming, he had never gained any advantage.

Regardless, if this man won their competition, the Huayu Sect's reputation would surely soar. This time, he had to take down this mysterious Sect Master and leave the Huayu Sect leaderless. He didn't believe the Huayu Sect would still have the strength to be their enemy after losing Qin Ming.

“I hope you just die from the poison directly, otherwise I'll have to go through a lot of trouble.” Zhang Chongtian relaxed his clenched fists.

The reason he called for an ambush instead of directly asking a Martial Venerable to take action was due to an agreement.

This was a pact among many Martial Venerables. Their strength was too great; if they acted at will, everyone in the Great Xia Dynasty would live in fear, easily triggering a chaotic war across the entire Great Xia Dynasty.

A stable Great Xia Dynasty was what all Powers hoped to see. Because of this, the pact stated that Martial Venerable Experts could not take action unless their own Power was on the brink of life and death.
