A Splendid Plan to Behead the Emperor
A magnificent Gate of Time and Space appeared in the vast, boundless void.
Bright radiance spilled from its edges.
Like a true sun, it cast its light across the dark, freezing void.
Both sides in the midst of battle halted at this sudden development.
Seizing the opportunity, the human fleet pulled back and gained a brief respite.
"Have they returned?"
Keigo Masaki looked toward the magnificent Gate of Time and Space, anticipation appearing on his face, though beneath it lingered a faint fear.
The others felt the same way.
They hoped to see Raven and the Emperor emerge from the temporal portal, yet feared that monsters from the forces of darkness would come through instead.
"The temporal field has been distorted. The energy readings are surging, and there is a risk of it going out of control."
Inside the command center, the computer prodigy Noh-Rai, seated before the tactical console, reported to Keigo Masaki.
"Something feels wrong, Commander."
Keigo Masaki frowned and immediately gave the order.
"Have every Giant and warship withdraw from the Gate of Time and Space at once. No one is to remain nearby."
The order was swiftly relayed.
The Giants and warships withdrew from the Gate of Time and Space in an orderly fashion.
"I have to bring Daigo back."
As the commander of a warship, Rena ordered a tractor beam fired during the retreat, pulling back the stone statue Ultraman Tiga had become.
Tiga had defeated too many monsters over the years. If his stone statue remained on the battlefield, those monsters would surely seize the chance to destroy it.
The monsters saw the humans retreating from the vicinity of the Gate of Time and Space.
They immediately swarmed forward, taking over the gaps the humans had left behind.
"What is this thing?"
Zog, the Destructive Root Entity, approached the Gate of Time and Space.
He could sense the terrifying aura emanating from within the magnificent portal.
Something incomparably dreadful seemed to be lurking inside.
"Whatever it is, it cannot stop humanity’s destruction."
The Dark Planet Gylansfia spoke in an utterly icy tone.
After its last defeat, it had developed an unimaginable obsession with destroying human civilization.
"This thing gives me a bad feeling."
The colossal plant beast Queen Monera studied the magnificent Gate of Time and Space with her eerie eyes.
"You. Go take a look."
Zog, the Root Destruction Entity, pointed at Apate, the nearest metallic lifeform.
Apate was Zog’s subordinate, resembling an ancient Roman warrior clad in armor.
Its right hand could transform into a Longsword or spear.
Its chest bore a timer like that of a Giant of Light.
Apate did not dare defy Zog’s command and could only approach the Gate of Time and Space to investigate.
The moment it drew near the portal, an indescribable fear arose uncontrollably within Apate.
Just as instinct compelled it to flee.
A pillar of light carrying destructive fluctuations shot out from within the portal.
The beam was incomparably majestic, dozens of kilometers wide.
Apate, standing 52.5 meters tall and weighing 52,500 tons, appeared incomparably tiny before it.
In an instant, it was annihilated by the beam and turned to ash.
The beam swept across the area, catching the monsters near the Gate of Time and Space in its path.
Shaygomezar, Bokuragu, Eye Q, and other lesser monsters followed Apate into destruction one after another.
Only leader-class monsters such as Gylansfia, Queen Monera, and Zog barely withstood the beam’s devastating power and escaped.
The survivors wore expressions of terror.
The enormous monster horde also stirred restlessly, deeply unsettled.
It felt as though a heavy boulder weighed upon their hearts, oppressing them.
At that moment, the whispering voices echoing in everyone’s ears grew more and more impassioned, shaking their hearts.
They murmured endlessly, as if recounting certain secrets, yet also as though praising something.
Before everyone’s eyes, a disciplined fleet passed through the Gate of Time and Space and unleashed its firepower upon the stunned monster horde.
The dark void was illuminated and filled with every sort of destructive beam.
These warships belonged to the Dark Angels.
Loyal battle cries echoed through the communication channels and from the mouths of every Legion warrior.
The Primarch Lion El’Jonson stood aboard his flagship. He drew his battle sword, and a bright arc of light covered its cold blade.
The Blood Angels’ fleet had arrived.
Their magnificent warships immediately poured artillery fire upon the distant monsters.
The holy Archangel beat his white wings and charged toward the monsters in the void, a spear cloaked in destructive power gripped in his hand.
His descendants in crimson armor followed closely behind their gene-father.
Every warrior’s gaze was incomparably resolute.
They were willing to follow Sanguinius.
Neither the abyss nor hell could halt their advance.
The Ultramarines’ fleet had arrived.
The noble Roman monarch raised the battle sword in his hand, declaring the coming of war.
Warriors clad in azure armor answered with roars.
They were the embodiment of reason.
They were vengeance made manifest.
They were perfect vessels for war.
They were the Ultramarines, and they feared nothing.
They would unleash their fury. In humanity’s name, they would exact vengeance.
Then, close behind them, Emperor’s Grand Plan appeared, as though a noble sun god returning in triumph upon his chariot.
The ship girls, their naval rigging manifested, circled alongside the warship like loyal guards.
Thirteen Primal Kongs assumed flight forms and soared ahead as vanguards.
High upon the vessel’s hull, within the fortress rising from its spine.
The noble Master of Mankind, the great Lord of the Empire, ruler of all heavens, the sovereign above all things, stood there and surveyed the battlefield.
Warships poured forth from the Gate of Time and Space by the hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands—endless beyond measure.
Some were as enormous as continents, while others were as vast as stars.
The fleet was so immense.
That it felt like a dream, something reality could never possibly contain.
Behind the magnificent fleet came the Empire’s Giants of Light, the Transformers formations, and the ship-girl formations.
The army blotted out the sky and sun, leaving all who saw it awestruck.
The Emperor gazed at the dark monsters in the distance, lightly waved his hand, and issued an order.
"Let the flames of war burn. Burn every enemy to ash."
And so, an earthshaking battle on a cosmic scale erupted.
Raven, standing upon the Emperor’s shoulder, flew into the void.
Before everyone, he revealed his sacred form.
His body became incomparably vast, with even stars serving as ornaments among his feathers.
Accompanied by a piercing bird cry, endless Origin Power surged forth from Raven.
It flowed toward the Giants on the battlefield who had become stone statues after losing their power.
Ha!
Tiga, who had been transformed into stone, suddenly opened his eyes.
His pale stone body once again returned to the radiant form of Shining Tiga.
With a sharp cry, he leapt into the air and released a blazing blast that sent the monster pursuing the spacecraft flying.
Then he stood in the void and looked toward Rena inside the warship.
Rena smiled. "Go, Daigo. Keep fighting for humanity."
Tiga nodded, then transformed into a streak of light and charged toward the distant battlefield.
Under Raven’s healing, the Giants of Light who had become stone statues awakened one after another, returning to their peak condition and rejoining the fierce battle.
"It’s Mr. Raven! It’s Mr. Raven!"
"He’s back! He’s finally back!"
Inside the command center, Keigo Masaki trembled as he touched the screen, shouting madly before crying like a child.
The others, watching the images on the screen, also wept uncontrollably.
After they first defeated the Dark Planet Gylansfia, only to accidentally open a parallel universe and draw in countless monsters, humanity had suffered defeat after defeat after defeat.
One colony after another had fallen, razed flat and burned to ashes by the monsters.
Countless humans had died in the war.
Even when they fought with everything they had, they had never been able to defeat those monsters empowered by darkness.
They could only retreat, retreat, and retreat again.
After falling back to the Solar System, Keigo Masaki had no choice but to initiate the Spark Plan.
To prevent human civilization from being utterly destroyed, he selected a group of children and technical personnel, then stored humanity’s technological knowledge in special devices.
Finally, he placed the selected people and storage devices aboard spacecraft and sent them into the void beyond the Solar System.
If humanity lost this war and Earth was destroyed by the monsters.
The spacecraft carrying the seeds of civilization would follow their preset programs into the depths of the universe.
Once they found suitable planets, they would rebuild civilization.
After holding out for so long, a turning point had finally arrived.
Raven and the Emperor, who had once saved them, had returned.
They had even brought an army of immense scale.
The humans in the surface shelters saw Raven’s revealed sacred form and all began to cheer.
The despair on their faces vanished completely.
In its place came excitement and fervor.
"You must avenge those who died!"
"Defeat those monsters, Mr. Raven!"
The people wiped away their tears, clenched their fists, and shouted themselves hoarse, their faces flushed with emotion.
The war swiftly entered its fiercest stage.
The entire void was consumed by destructive attacks.
But this time, it was no longer the monsters of the dark faction that held the advantage, but humanity.
"I knew I could profit by following The Cursed One."
Vashtorr extended countless thick metallic tentacles.
They wrapped around a dark monster named Arjuros.
Like Apate, this creature came from the metallic lifeform race.
Though Arjuros struggled frantically, Vashtorr did not loosen his grip in the slightest, relentlessly absorbing the creature’s dark energy to strengthen himself.
Another monster charged over, intending to help its companion escape Vashtorr’s control.
The next second, it was crushed by an invisible force.
Abaddon, clad in power armor, activated his temporal ability and crushed the monster attempting to ambush Vashtorr.
"Thank you, human," Vashtorr said in clumsy Gothic.
"No need, fiend." Abaddon held no fondness for this creature from the Warp. "I helped you only because we belong to the same faction."
"Why be so distant? I think we could become very good allies," Vashtorr said.
"Impossible." Abaddon shook his head. "Even if fate has billions of possibilities, there is absolutely no possibility of you and me becoming allies."
"That remains to be seen," Vashtorr said meaningfully.
Abaddon ignored him and charged toward other monsters.
Vashtorr did not care either and continued absorbing Arjuros’s dark energy.
After forcibly draining the creature dry, he stored its corpse within his Warp domain.
Not only Arjuros—Vashtorr also collected the corpses of other monsters.
He intended to turn these monsters into weapons of war and teach those four bastards a lesson.
Earlier, when he had pledged himself to The Cursed One, those four had joined forces to beat him up.
If he did not avenge this grudge, how could he continue surviving in the Warp?
On the other side of the battlefield.
The Primal Kong Yin Jue Tian was dueling the cosmic fighter Grugel.
Grugel possessed formidable combat power and had defeated many Giants of Light.
But Yin Jue Tian, as the first creation of Primal Heavenly Venerate.
In many universes, he stood at the level of a supreme god.
Grugel launched fierce attacks in succession, his Energy Blade continuously hacking at Yin Jue Tian’s AT Field, yet he was never able to break through.
It unleashed one Ultra technique after another that it had learned on the battlefield.
Unfortunately, none of them worked. Every attack was blocked by the AT Field.
Meanwhile, Yin Jue Tian severed Grugel’s light blade in just a few strikes.
Then, with another blow, he pierced through it and ended its life for good.
The other Primal Kongs each chose their own opponents as well.
At the edge of the battlefield.
"This kind of battle is awesome." Recruit Megatron looked excited. "What do you think, Optimus Prime?"
"I think it’s alright."
The particle cannon in Optimus Prime’s hands fired a brilliant beam of light.
It instantly punched through a monster’s head.
Turning it into a corpse that smoked blackly.
"Stop chatting and come help me first!" Bumblebee shouted over the comms.
Megatron and Optimus Prime looked over and saw Bumblebee being besieged by several monsters. They hurriedly activated their thrusters and rushed over to support him.
Particle beams streaked across the void.
Vibrating light blades tore through the sky.
Working together, the two killed the monsters pursuing Bumblebee.
"War isn’t fun at all." Bumblebee complained. "When I saw the propaganda before, I felt all fired up. I thought I might become a legend. Now, I just feel lucky if I can survive."
"If you want to keep being a miner, I have no objections." Optimus Prime said. "But if you want to obtain a Gear Cube and other advanced modifications, you need to accumulate merits first."
"Optimus Prime’s right. I don’t want to go mining." Megatron nodded. "Come on, let’s keep fighting. We’ll definitely make it through."
The central region of the battlefield.
The Primarchs were locked in fierce battles with leader-class monsters.
"Who exactly are you?" Zog unleashed a roaring psychic wave, making every living being on the battlefield feel its fury.
"Those who will kill you." Sanguinius answered with equal rage. "Feel humanity’s wrath."
Any existence that sought to destroy human civilization was unforgivable.
Guilliman, Lion El’Jonson, Magnus, and the others were also fighting leader-class monsters such as the dark planet Gylansfia, the colossal plant beast Queen Monera, and the Cosmic Emperor.
"These humans are too powerful. If this continues, we may not be their match. At this point, the only option is to capture the king to catch the bandits. We must kill their leader first and shatter their morale. Only then will we have a chance to turn defeat into victory."
Aitaruga, the Trans-dimensional Demon God and a leader-class monster from another parallel universe, possessed great intelligence.
It quickly concluded that to win, it had to break the morale of this human army.
Relying on its astonishing perception, it locked onto the golden warship protected by the Celestial-class Warships.
There had to be someone important there.
If it could kill that person, it would surely deal a heavy blow to the human army’s morale.
"The decapitation operation begins now!"
The Demon God entered its strongest form and used its unique spatial-temporal fold ability, transforming into a streak of purple light as it charged straight toward the Emperor’s Grand Plan. Space cracked apart inch by inch in its wake.
