Abomination
"Interesting. Looks like the U.S. military has developed something new again." At the sight of Abomination’s appearance,
Chen Mu crossed his legs, looking as if he were ready to watch a show.
"I think we could invite Bruce Banner over to take a look too." Chen Mu watched the screen with a grin and continued, "Seeing the U.S. military like this, Dr. Banner ought to take another good look."
"Although this monster isn’t green, you can still see some resemblance to Hulk in him. This thing definitely has something to do with Hulk. Maybe the U.S. military used his blood to create this monster."
Although Chen Mu knew all this, it was inconvenient for him to say it outright, so he presented it as a guess.
Though it was a guess, it was also the truth.
"Dr. Banner is still in his laboratory."
Xu Jia said nothing about Chen Mu’s carefree attitude. Or rather, she also felt that it was none of their business.
The trouble the U.S. military had created naturally had to be resolved by the U.S. military itself.
Besides, they were on the other side of the ocean. Even if they wanted to help, there was nothing they could do.
"Is this a live broadcast? Send the link to Dr. Bruce Banner."
Chen Mu was somewhat disappointed that he could not bring Bruce Banner over to watch the livestream with him. After all, he would not get to sow discord right in front of him anymore, which took away much of the fun.
But he could still send the livestream link to Bruce Banner and let him see for himself what the U.S. military was really like.
"Alright."
Huaqiangbei Industrial Park could be considered the most technologically advanced industrial park in China at present. It was in no way inferior even compared with Tony Stark’s facilities.
Every laboratory was connected to the Hongmeng network and equipped with virtual projection technology, so letting Bruce Banner watch the livestream was an extremely simple matter.
"You really do have some twisted tastes."
Xu Jia was utterly speechless at Chen Mu’s perverse amusement.
"This isn’t twisted amusement. It’s so Bruce Banner can see America’s true face clearly, so Dr. Banner won’t still think about returning to America in the future."
Chen Mu curled his lips. He was not truly idle; he had a purpose.
If he remembered correctly, Bruce Banner had never forgotten General Ross’s daughter. There was no telling whether he might return to America for love.
Even though General Ross’s daughter had long since found another boyfriend and had even been living with him for quite some time, while the other man was a male lecturer well versed in human nature.
But as long as there was love, of course he would choose to forgive her!
Abomination was unlike Hulk, who was like a wild beast. He was a genuine soldier, and one with an exceptionally strong talent for combat.
After becoming Abomination, he still retained his clear consciousness, allowing him to fully wield his power.
Therefore, the military personnel were nothing more than easy prey in his eyes.
Already capable of ignoring all sorts of ordinary weapons, Abomination rampaged through the streets and sent the U.S. military sprawling. He could casually lift up cars by the roadside and use them as weapons, hurling them at the soldiers.
As for whether there were innocent people still inside those cars?
Abomination could not be bothered to care.
Thus, quite a few innocent civilians died amid Abomination’s rampage.
But what did that have to do with Chen Mu?
The ones dying were only people from America. If they themselves were not heartbroken over it, why should Chen Mu be?
In Chen Mu’s original world, nearly a million people had died in America because of the pandemic. America itself was not worried, so why should Chen Mu, an outsider, worry?
After all, in their eyes, people dying was perfectly normal. Birth, aging, illness, and death were simply part of life.
It was only one person dying. What was so unusual about that?
Even though the matter of "one person dying" had been repeated N times.
"Not bad, not bad. The U.S. military is quite powerful, but its firepower seems a little lacking."
As though he were watching a blockbuster, Chen Mu applauded at the scene on the video. Seeing American soldiers being smashed into meat patties by Abomination felt incredibly satisfying.
"I have to admit, the U.S. military is impressive. They can even create a monster like Abomination." Chen Mu sounded somewhat regretful as he continued, "But it seems their technology isn’t quite up to standard. This monster apparently doesn’t listen to the U.S. military?"
"A lot of civilians have died."
Xu Jia was also watching the screen, but unlike Chen Mu, she seemed somewhat heavy-hearted. As Chen Mu had said, those unfortunate civilians caught in the chaos were merely "international friends," but kind-hearted as she was, she could not help feeling sorry for them.
But what could she do, no matter how sorry she felt?
Separated by an ocean, she was powerless to help.
"Chen Mu, have you heard about what happened in New York?"
At that moment, Hawkeye and Black Widow, who had been touring the industrial park, rushed into the office in a panic, their faces full of anxiety.
"Oh, I saw it. You mean this monster?" Once the door opened, Chen Mu put away the amusement and schadenfreude on his face. Seeing Hawkeye and Black Widow, he pointed at the computer on the desk.
The live television broadcast was still ongoing. Abomination’s battle against the U.S. military looked quite spectacular.
In downtown New York City, there were large numbers of civilians, making it difficult for the U.S. military to deploy heavy firepower. Ordinary firearms were nothing more than tickling to Abomination.
After fighting for so long, the strongest individual firepower the American side could deploy was merely an RPG rocket launcher.
But even that still could not inflict the slightest damage on Abomination.
The only thing Abomination was somewhat wary of was probably the helicopters’ heavy machine guns. If struck by those, he could still be injured.
"No need to worry. Isn’t Iron Man in New York? This monster won’t be arrogant for much longer."
Chen Mu said calmly.
Didn’t you people from America worship "individual heroism"? Besides, wasn’t Tony Stark in New York?
Your Iron Man would save you from disaster.
Though from the looks of it, even Iron Man as he was now might not be able to beat Abomination.
But what did that have to do with Chen Mu?
"Our Director hopes to contact you."
Hawkeye took out a phone and placed it before Chen Mu. Well, well, it was even a Xiao Mu Phone made by Chen Mu’s company.
On the phone screen appeared Nick Fury’s face, which looked like a boiled egg.
"Ah, the esteemed Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I wonder what business you have with me?" Chen Mu greeted him with a smile, calm and composed, as if he knew nothing whatsoever about what had happened.
"Mr. Chen Mu, I hope to receive the God Spear Bureau’s assistance."
Nick Fury ignored Chen Mu’s demeanor and stated his purpose directly.
"I think, Director, you may have come to the wrong person."
Chen Mu spread his hands helplessly and continued, "If you are seeking help, I think you should go to our Director Zheng Xian."
"Besides, I don’t think those of us currently on the other side of the planet can provide you with any help."
