The main storyline of "Urban Ancient Immortal Doctor" has finally concluded, starting in September 2019 and ending in August 2023, basically spanning four years.

A work of almost ten million words, it was a Breakthrough for me, and also a challenge.

Looking back now, overall, I am personally quite satisfied, although it ultimately fell just short of ten million words, there's no need to be too concerned about the word count.

Writing an ultra-long novel is like running a marathon; many factors can affect it, including family琐事, personal physical condition, mental state, and so on.

Summarizing it myself, the Peak of this book should have been in the Kunlun Continent and the first half of the Immortal Realm; that was when my state was the best and I was most satisfied with the writing.

The worst part was the Chaotic Saint Realm, where I somewhat deliberately pursued finishing the book and filling in plot holes, leading to a story that wasn't rich enough and didn't expand sufficiently.

Consider it an experience; next time I write a book, I must not let my spirit and Qi dissipate at the end, otherwise, it will directly affect the quality of the work.

Regarding updates, everyone felt the updates were very slow later on, but this was actually my maximum capability.

Everyone's abilities differ, and their擅长 Domains are also different; I can write urban stories quite quickly, but the Xuanhuan plots later on were truly slow.

It has little to do with typing speed; the key is that my brain isn't sufficient, and conceiving a plot or a setting takes a very long time.

But I can guarantee everyone that every single word is from my hand, every single word is carefully conceived, and there is absolutely no padding.

As for the ending, some readers commented that the final robot part wasn't good and felt somewhat superfluous.

The reason I used such an ending is because I personally feel that AI robots are developing too quickly, and if this continues, anything is possible.

Technology is a good thing, but it is also a double-edged sword; I hope to use this plot to make an appeal, that everything should be done within one's capabilities.

After all, I am just a small author, and there's only so much I can do.

Writing an ultra-long novel, writing for four years, still fills me with much emotion.

Thank you all for your unremitting support; the readers are the greatest motivation for an author to write to the end; without everyone's support, I might have given up halfway.

The main body of this book has concluded, but there are still some unfinished plots within it, such as Wen Susu who has not yet achieved Ascension, Li Qingzhu of the Kunlun Continent, and Chu Lingxi who greatly resembles Situ Dianmo; many people are still thinking of them.

There are also some plot holes that need to be filled, such as why Dongfang Renjie betrayed, and some plots that everyone feels are unsatisfying, which can be resolved in the extras.

So, I plan to continue writing extras, the update speed will not be too fast, about one chapter per week, please don't worry, after all, the creation of a new book will be the main focus in the future.

Regarding the new book, I have been preparing for several months, but I haven't been able to create a satisfactory beginning; I wrote a few, but they were all discarded.

Two reasons: one, what I'm writing now is a Xuanhuan plot, and I can't get back into the state of urban creation.

Additionally, I wrote for four consecutive years without rest, and I am very fatigued overall, and my state is not very good.

The next plan is to rest for one or two months, then continue with the new book; it probably won't be too late, I will try my best to be as quick as possible, and once I recover my state, I will start immediately.

As for the theme of the new book, according to current thoughts, it will most likely still be an urban divine doctor novel, but creation is unpredictable; perhaps one day inspiration will strike and I'll have other ideas.
