#26
All of Jinxi Was Thrown into Chaos
"Ah—!!!"
Alice screamed, covering herself with her clothes before shrinking behind Kraft.
"No! David! Listen to my explanation!"
Cold sweat covered Kraft’s forehead as he grabbed Fatty Liao, who was trying to leave the workshop. If he let him walk out like this, he would never be able to clear things up!
"What could you possibly explain in a situation like this?!"
Faced with Kraft’s excuses, Fatty Liao looked utterly grief-stricken and indignant.
"I always thought you just hadn’t hit puberty yet. Who would’ve thought you were into this kind of kink?! It’s so envi—ptui! It’s utterly disgraceful!"
"It’s not like that!"
Kraft was about to explain with a dark expression when that idiot dog Quinn suddenly spoke up.
"I’m shocked! Big bro’s bad deeds have been exposed!"
"What nonsense are you barking, you stupid dog? Meow!"
Bea could not help swiping a paw at the fool. He was only making things worse!
"See?! Even your dog says you’re up to no good!"
Fatty Liao pointed at Quinn, who had just spoken, then froze.
"Your dog can talk?!! And there’s a cat too!!!"
Only then did Fatty Liao react. He jumped up, staring wide-eyed at the cat and dog beside him.
"Oh no, we’ve been found out, meow… It’s all your fault, you stupid dog!"
Bea swiped Quinn again and complained.
"Ah… My head hurts…" Kraft pressed a hand to his forehead, feeling waves of pain throb through his skull.
In short, the scene was complete chaos.
After a bout of frantic confusion, Kraft finally managed to explain the whole situation to Fatty Liao.
By then, Alice had hidden off to the side and gotten dressed. Wiping her tears, she came over to Kraft and said through sniffles, "Then, big brother, I’ll go make dinner for you."
"Yeah, just make something simple. Don’t worry, this fatso’s eyesight isn’t very good, and I covered you up in time."
Kraft gave a wry smile, rubbed her head, and comforted her softly.
"Mm…" Alice nodded tearfully, then lowered her head and hurried off toward the kitchen.
Seeing their interaction, Fatty Liao’s gaze toward Kraft turned sinister.
"You’re the only one getting to enjoy a robot maid. That’s way too cunning!"
This damned fatso still had not given up on the idea of mooching a robot maid off Kraft.
"Alice isn’t a maid. She’s my little sister!"
Kraft stressed this to Fatty Liao with a very serious expression.
Fatty Liao paused at the seriousness on Kraft’s face. "You mean that?"
He knew Kraft very well. It was difficult enough to make him acknowledge an ordinary person, let alone a robot. Although Fatty Liao had always joked about dragging Kraft into the pervert camp, he would have been the first not to believe that Kraft could be tempted by a robot he had made himself.
Kraft sighed and briefly explained what had happened before.
"No matter what, Alice was created by me. Naturally, I have to take good care of her."
"A brother in name, but a father in practice?"
Fatty Liao’s train of thought was not exactly normal. Otherwise, he would never have gotten along with Kraft so well.
But he quickly grew excited again. "Doesn’t that mean you created life, Kraft? That’s the domain of gods!"
"Who knows with artificial intelligence?"
Kraft shrugged indifferently. He had no interest in whether gods existed or not, because he was an atheist, even though he had seen beings with godlike power in his dreams.
"You’re way too calm about this, aren’t you?"
Fatty Liao clicked his tongue. He was already somewhat used to Kraft’s casual showing-off.
"It’s a shame you refuse to film these amazing inventions. Otherwise, Clever Hands Channel would definitely become even more popular!"
Kraft rolled his eyes. "Do you want the FBI knocking on my door?"
"True. If America’s government found out about this stuff, they’d probably lock you up and squeeze you dry."
As Kraft’s close friend, Fatty Liao naturally did not have much affection for America either. He just was not as extreme as Kraft.
"But at least film something useful this time!" Fatty Liao abruptly changed the subject. "That solar-powered flashlight and shoe-shaped shaver from before were fun, sure, but not many people bought them! You have Dream Toy Company making money for you, but I depend on Clever Hands Channel to live!"
"Doesn’t Clever Hands Channel have advertising revenue?" Kraft frowned. "Your share should be enough for you to live comfortably, right? Did Uncle Liao find your collection again?"
A middle school student’s usual expenses were not high. As the person in charge of Clever Hands Channel’s daily operations, Fatty Liao’s share was not huge, but it was definitely more than enough.
Actually, Kraft had initially wanted to give all of Clever Hands Channel’s income to Fatty Liao, but he had refused. In his words, that was the bottom line of a profiteer.
"It’s just… I got another girlfriend, so my expenses have been a little high lately…"
Fatty Liao answered sheepishly.
Kraft rolled his eyes hard. "At our age, we can’t even do anything. What’s the point of having a girlfriend?"
Kraft, who pursued practicality and efficiency, simply could not understand Fatty Liao’s hobby in this regard.
"You science fanatic could never understand the greatness of love!"
Fatty Liao looked down on him with an arrogant expression.
"The love where you got dumped by girls six times within a year?"
"Five times! Only five times! The sixth time I got dumped was on New Year’s Day! That was already the second year!"
Kraft repeated in a completely flat tone, "Oh… so it was five times."

"…Let’s just start filming!"
Trapped in an awkward situation, Fatty Liao clapped his hands and forcibly changed the subject.
"No rush. I’m eating first!"
As for requests from his friend Fatty Liao, Kraft generally agreed as long as they were not too excessive. So, taking advantage of the weekend, he filmed the production process for several interesting and practical gadgets, while also making a few extras to keep in stock. As for how they would be edited and sold afterward, that was Fatty Liao’s job.
Since these little trinkets were not particularly technical, Kraft made them with ease. He also used the two days of filming as a chance to relax a little.
"Let’s go to the music festival next weekend. You really need to unwind."
After filming was finished, Fatty Liao put away the camera and patted Kraft on the shoulder.
"Yeah, I know."
Kraft pinched the bridge of his nose. Even if Fatty Liao had not said anything, he had been planning to take a break. He had spent too much time in the lab recently, and his spirits had already begun to flag. He had only lasted this long through sheer momentum. Now that he had relaxed, the relentless fatigue had left him sleeping until noon for the past two days.
He suddenly understood a little why those scientists wanted to conduct human enhancement experiments.
Kraft clicked his tongue, but he still had no intention of getting involved.
"A music festival? Big brother, can you take me with you?"
After two days to recover, Alice was finally able to speak normally in front of Fatty Liao. However, she still felt too embarrassed to meet his eyes. Even while talking, she kept her head lowered and stared at the floor.
This only struck Fatty Liao’s cute spot even harder, so for the past two days, every look he gave Kraft had been full of envy, jealousy, and resentment.
So before Kraft could even speak, he jumped up and thumped his chest. "Of course! Leave the tickets to me!"
"Can I go too? Take me with you!"
That idiot dog Quinn ran over to join the excitement as well.
"Uh… that…" Fatty Liao looked troubled. "Pets generally aren’t allowed at music festivals."
"Fxxk! This is species discrimination!"
Please vote more, everyone! My previous book flopped after this recommendation, and I don’t want history to repeat itself this time…
Though the main reason it flopped last time was that I screwed myself over… ∠("∠)_
Also, the weather’s getting colder and colder. I tried voice input last night, but it was completely useless!
I really want a HAL or Jarvis… (Д`)y━~~
