Amegakure Intelligence Leak

The Saudi Federation had put considerable thought into settling the Uchiha Clan. Elder Yasunori and Uchiha Tekka had handled most of the arrangements through discussion.

After learning Elder Yasunori’s identity, Uchiha Tekka treated him with great respect out of guilt toward Yasunori Sakai. Moreover, Elder Yasunori’s actions reassured Tekka. He strictly followed the agreement both sides had signed and showed no resentment toward the Uchiha Clan because of Sakai’s death.

The Saudi Federation’s newly built residential areas mainly consisted of high-rises. Though the living arrangements were somewhat denser, the soundproofing and comfort were not lacking in the slightest; they simply made better use of vertical space.

The expanded district also had excellent infrastructure. Hospitals, commercial streets, and every other facility were fully equipped.

The Uchiha Clan had no complaints about this living environment. Elder Yasunori had even told Uchiha Tekka that if they were unaccustomed to high-rises, the Saudi Federation also had single-story homes available for the Uchiha to choose from.

That respectful attitude alone had already satisfied Uchiha Tekka. Compared to Konoha, which had brutally driven them into a corner of the village, this place they had dealt with for only a few days gave them the feeling of home.

"Thank you for the trouble, Elder Yasunori. We’ll choose these high-rise residences. Many people in the clan are very interested in this kind of building."

Uchiha Tekka bowed to Elder Yasunori as he spoke, then thought to himself, As expected of someone from the Yasunori Family. Even the Patriarch handles matters just like Sakai did.

Elder Yasunori smiled and said, "In that case, someone will later discuss and confirm the furniture requirements, the compensation stipulated in the agreement, and the shops on the nearby commercial street with you, Tekka-kun. Once you’ve settled the clan’s affairs, we can discuss the Uchiha joining the Saudi Federation Guard."

"Yes, no problem. Thank you for your trouble." Uchiha Tekka gave a slight bow, then saw Elder Yasunori off.

Afterward, dedicated personnel came to register the Uchiha Clan and handle their paperwork.

The high-rise complex they had chosen did not have open training grounds for practicing shuriken, but the surroundings were quite nice. It counted as a patch of greenery in the desert-bound Saudi Federation. Besides, there were more than thirty training grounds of various sizes throughout the Federation, and the Yasunori Trading Company was preparing to build an oasis forest.

Once Elder Yasunori had left, Uchiha Tekka exercised the clan head’s authority and stood nearby overseeing the settlement of the ordinary clan members.

After leaving Konoha, Uchiha Fugaku was no longer the Uchiha Clan’s clan head. Although few people in the clan used Uchiha Itachi to attack him after arriving in the Saudi Federation, not mentioning something did not mean it had never happened. Because of Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Fugaku’s family had become reclusive, and even Second Pillar had lost a child’s liveliness.

"Tekka… Clan Head."

Uchiha Inabi came to Tekka’s side and spoke to him in a low voice.

"The Saudi Federation truly handles things impeccably. I went to take a look just now. No matter how much the clansmen claim they lost, everything is recorded truthfully and compensated accordingly. After this, they can practically make up half the clan’s lost property."

"They truly accept the Uchiha."

After Uchiha Tekka spoke, he turned his head with a slightly grave expression. "Inabi, they are treating us sincerely, so we Uchiha cannot take advantage of them. Tell the clansmen that no one is allowed to make false claims. Anyone who does will be severely punished."

"Don’t worry, Clan Head. We already checked. No clansman would do something like that."

Uchiha Inabi waved his hand. They had just gone through such a great change and had finally found a place willing to accept them. How could they do something so foolish over a little money?

Moreover, many clansmen had underreported their losses. Some of the older ones who owned shops were preparing to change trades and leave the opportunities to make money for the younger generation of the clan.

Uchiha Tekka continued, "Once the ordinary clan members are settled, I will speak with Elder Yasunori about joining the Saudi Federation Military Police Force. Let the other clansmen know and have them prepare themselves."

Uchiha Inabi nodded. "I understand. What about Uchiha Fugaku? And Sasuke? Although I hate Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke…"

"Let him attend school. The Saudi Federation has a Ninja Academy as well. I’ll speak with Uchiha Fugaku personally, then ask Elder Yasunori for help."

If they wanted to integrate into the Saudi Federation, this was a necessary step. Unfortunately, Sasuke was the only Uchiha currently of school age; everyone else was already a Ninja.

Uchiha Tekka continued speaking to Inabi. "The Saudi Federation is highly inclusive toward outsiders, but that also means there may be many spies within the Federation. Elder Yasunori already hinted as much to me just now. The Saudi Federation is severely short on manpower, so we do not have much time to rest."

That was simply the Uchiha’s nature. If someone treated them sincerely, they would return that sincerity in kind. Elder Yasunori had arranged everything for them perfectly, so Uchiha Tekka naturally intended to repay him with all his effort.

"If they’re short on manpower, then let Uchiha Fugaku join as well. He spends all day looking depressed and weak. It’s truly disgraceful for a former Uchiha clan head. Inabi, find an opportunity to tell him not to keep acting like that!"

After saying that, Uchiha Tekka planned to take a walk around the Saudi Federation and familiarize himself with the terrain. After all, this was where they would live in the future.

On the Rain Country battlefield.

After severely wounding Biwa Juzo, Hyuga Kiyomi’s team immediately brought him back to the Konoha camp.

They had already investigated Amegakure’s intelligence thoroughly enough, and they had also captured a Rogue ninja from Kirigakure’s Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Much useful intelligence could be extracted from his mind.

After Hyuga Kiyomi’s team returned with the prisoner and intelligence, Nara Shikaku and Sarutobi Hiruzen both arrived at the intelligence department in surprise.

After confirming Biwa Juzo’s identity, Sarutobi Hiruzen said to Hyuga Kiyomi with a delighted expression, "Well done, Kiyomi. I didn’t expect your team to bring back such important intelligence in such a short time. I will record a major merit for you this time."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama. This is the shared achievement of our entire team."

Hyuga Kiyomi replied neither humbly nor arrogantly, then left the intelligence department’s camp. Next came the Yamanaka Clan’s turn to obtain intelligence, so it would be inappropriate for her to remain inside.

Not long after Hyuga Kiyomi left the tent, she ran into Yuhi Kurenai, who had been waiting for her. The moment she saw Kiyomi, Yuhi Kurenai asked with a smile.

"Finished? When is your next mission outside?"

Hyuga Kiyomi glanced at her. Yuhi Kurenai had never asked such questions before, but she was acting somewhat unusually today.

"Just wait for notice. Why are you asking?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to ask you about the mission you just completed."

"The mission just now? Hmph, we only captured Biwa Juzo so easily in the end thanks to your Illusion Technique!"

Hyuga Kiyomi instantly saw through Yuhi Kurenai’s intentions and could not help snorting. So what if she admitted it? Caring about only this one thing was truly childish.

"It wasn’t only that. You and the other two teammates coordinated well too. I’ll go rest first, then. Hehe."

Yuhi Kurenai laughed softly, then stretched lazily in front of Hyuga Kiyomi. Whether intentionally or not, she once again displayed those full, rounded curves that made Hyuga Kiyomi stare wide-eyed.

"This woman…"

Before Hyuga Kiyomi could say anything, Yuhi Kurenai turned and left, leaving Hyuga Kiyomi standing there with wide eyes as she thought indignantly.

She’s seriously infuriating!!
