Attack

After listening to Max’s introduction, Wang Bert asked, "Did you all appear in the same location in this world?"

Max nodded. "Yes, all of us were in Times Square."

"So it really was deliberate."

Wang Bert snorted. If it had been an accident, it would have been impossible for all the travelers to appear in the same place. Someone had definitely tampered with things.

The question was, why would they do that? With so many people gathered together, they would inevitably be discovered by him and Iron Man.

Could there be something strange about these travelers?

Wang Bert narrowed his eyes slightly. At that moment, Wong rushed in and shouted, "Blood God, this is bad! A whole bunch of Hulks have appeared."

Wang Bert was taken aback. "A whole bunch of Hulks?"

"Yes, Hulks have appeared in more than a dozen cities across North America and Europa. They’re wreaking havoc in the cities, and some buildings have even been smashed down."

Wong nodded. "These Hulks have no reason left at all. They’re filled with rage."

"The second wave is Hulks? Isn’t the interval too short?"

Wang Bert narrowed his eyes and ordered, "Gather everyone. Stop the Hulks first. Max, this is an emergency. There’s no time to throw you a welcome party. You’re coming too."

Max asked in surprise, "Boss, aren’t you worried I’ll run away?"

"First, you can’t escape. Second, the Max I know wouldn’t run."

Wang Bert said, "Don’t waste time. Follow me."

"Yes, Boss!"

Max said excitedly. Wang Bert’s trust moved him deeply—he was a very sensitive person, easily touched, easily angered, and even prone to resentment.

Before long, the Super Heroes, Eternals, and Kamar-Taj sorcerers had all gathered in the operations hall. Looking at the Hulks rampaging across the screens, Wang Bert said, "We can’t fight inside the cities. Strange, lead the sorcerers and transfer all the Hulks to Wakanda’s grasslands. The rest of you, prepare to subdue the Hulks there. Black Panther, deploy aircraft above the grasslands to stop the Hulks from escaping."

"Yes."

Everyone nodded. Strange did not waste any time and immediately left with the sorcerers.

In Los Angeles, a red-eyed Hulk consumed by Wrath grabbed a sedan from the street and hurled it fiercely at a nearby storefront. With a bang, the car crashed into the store and snapped a supporting pillar. The three-story building swayed precariously as people inside screamed nonstop.

Hulk felt neither excitement nor satisfaction. Instead, he became even angrier. He kept flipping over cars on both sides of the street, wanting to destroy everything around him.

Just then, a golden spark-filled portal appeared out of thin air, spinning as it expanded. Strange stepped out, lashed Hulk across the chest with a magical whip, and shouted, "Big guy, come here."

"Die."

Hulk flew into a rage and charged toward Strange with thunderous steps. Strange turned and retreated through the portal. Without the slightest hesitation, Hulk immediately pursued him.

On the other side of the portal was a lush green grassland. The moment Hulk entered, Strange closed the portal and vanished, heading for the next location.

Immediately afterward, Dr. Banner, wearing a tank top, walked up to Hulk and sighed. "Why hasn’t Hulk’s disaster stopped yet?"

When Hulk saw Dr. Banner, he froze for a moment. Then, he pounded the ground with all his strength, smashing a deep crater into it, before roaring, "Ugly freak, get lost."

Dr. Banner looked utterly confused, while everyone burst into laughter. Valkyrie laughed. "Banner, he isn’t insulting you. He’s just stating a fact. You really do look ugly like that."

"I may be ugly, but I’m powerful."

Dr. Banner struck a bodybuilding pose. Before anyone could comment, Hulk rushed forward and sent him flying with a punch. Everyone could not help shaking their heads. The old Hulk had been better. Dr. Banner now was practically an overgrown child.

Just as everyone was about to help Dr. Banner, portals began appearing one after another around them. Furious Hulks were lured onto the grasslands one after another.

"Everyone, get started. One thing after another—it looks like retirement isn’t in the cards for me."

Steve shook his head and shouted. No one wasted words. They each charged at the Hulks, and a fierce battle erupted in an instant, filled with Hulk’s roars.

"The reason these Hulks have lost control is because they’re filled with anger and fear!"

Wang Bert did not make a move. He carefully sensed the Hulks’ minds and was somewhat surprised. Anger made sense, but what the hell was with the fear? They were Hulks!

"Wait, Electro mentioned before that he entered a dark world before coming to this universe. That dark world was filled with negative emotions. Could Hulk’s fear be related to that?"

As Wang Bert pondered, he prepared to control the Hulks’ minds. He possessed the Mind Concept, so naturally, he could control other people’s minds. However, unlike other Mind Power users, he was more accustomed to using the Mind Concept to beat people up.

A legendary unconventional Mind Power user.

That was also why Wang Bert needed some time to prepare. He was worried he would turn the Hulks into idiots, since he had long grown accustomed to violence.

At that moment, a blue portal appeared. Old Tony led a Hulk into the grasslands and shouted, "Help me deal with this Hulk."

"Hey, Old Tony, isn’t your skin a little too thick?"

Falcon said with a look of disdain, "We’re enemies right now, remember? And you’re actually asking us to help you deal with Hulk?"

"I don’t have time. Something major has happened. Someone is destroying the grain depots. Blood God, I need your help."

Old Tony shouted. That was why he had personally come over.

Wang Bert was startled. "Destroying grain depots?"

"Yes. Food in our world has become a major problem. During this period, I’ve been coordinating food supplies between America and Europa, hoping to ease the food shortage through distribution. At the very least, we can’t let too many people starve to death."

Old Tony said at top speed, "But at the same time the Hulks appeared, a large number of mysterious people launched surprise attacks on grain depots in America and Europa. I can handle America myself, but I need your help in Europa."

"So the Hulks are actually meant to divert our attention and firepower?"

Wang Bert said, "If that’s the case, those mysterious people are most likely Super Heroes or supervillains too."

"Exactly. That’s why you have to handle the Hulks."

Old Tony said.

"Fine. Send me the locations of the grain depots. I’ll go take a look."

Wang Bert nodded. Old Tony let out a sigh of relief and said, "Thanks. Friday, send the information to Blood God."

Once Friday finished transmitting the information, Old Tony immediately used the Space Stone to leave. Wang Bert shook his head and quickly laid out a Large Magic Array on the ground with Mind Power.

Then, Wang Bert said to everyone, "Lead the Hulks into this Magic Array. They’ll fall asleep. I’m heading to Europa first."

"Go. Leave the Hulks to us."

Steve hurriedly said, "Food is extremely important. Blood God, we’re counting on you."

Everyone knew what would happen without food. Food was the people’s heaven!

"Okay."

Wang Bert did not waste any words. He immediately teleported to England and found that a grain depot had already been set ablaze, with thick black smoke billowing into the sky.

At the same time, a masked man stood expressionlessly before the burning grain depot. Corpses of numerous soldiers lay scattered around him.

"Anyone who wastes food deserves to die."

Without another word, Wang Bert threw a punch through the air. The void twisted, turning into spatial waves that surged toward the masked man.

The masked man immediately vanished upon seeing the attack. Wang Bert sensed carefully and discovered that he had not disappeared—he had shrunk into the Quantum Realm.

"Ant-Man?"

Wang Bert was somewhat surprised. It was normal for Hulk to lose his mind and become a villain, but why had Ant-Man betrayed them? That guy had been in prison, stole things all day, and was utterly irresponsible, but he was still a hero with a strong sense of justice.

At that moment, Ant-Man left the Quantum Realm and returned to normal size. Then, he raised his hand and fired an energy wave at Wang Bert.

When the energy wave first emerged, it was smaller than a chopstick. Yet as it flew, it rapidly expanded. In the blink of an eye, it had become as thick as a bucket.

"An energy-based application of Pym Particles? Didn’t Dr. Pym fail to develop that?"

Wang Bert was a little surprised. He raised a hand and made a circle. A portal appeared out of thin air, and the energy wave passed through it before shooting at Ant-Man from behind.

Ant-Man was greatly alarmed and tried to shrink again. Wang Bert snorted, and a thunderclap exploded beside Ant-Man’s ears. He fainted on the spot and fell forward, narrowly avoiding the energy wave.

Wang Bert did not deal with the unconscious Ant-Man right away. He raised his hand toward the burning grain depot and coldly said, "I don’t like flames."

As Wang Bert spoke, every flame inside the grain depot vanished at once. This was the mind interfering with reality.

Although the fire had been extinguished, the grain depot had still lost quite a bit of food. Wang Bert frowned slightly. What exactly was the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator trying to do? "There are other places to visit. I’ll interrogate you later."

Wang Bert waved at Ant-Man, and Ant-Man suddenly disappeared. He had been teleported to Wakanda’s prison, where the Dora Milaje would be responsible for guarding him.

Next, Wang Bert went to another country. This time, the enemy was not Ant-Man but a group of Black Widows—not all of them were Natasha; there were also her fellow trainees. They too were setting grain depots on fire.

"So many Black Widows? I should take them back and give one to each bachelor as a New Year’s gift."

Wang Bert smiled, dealt with the Black Widows at top speed, extinguished the fire, and rushed to the next location.

Meanwhile, Old Tony was also protecting grain depots, though his luck was not particularly good. He ran into a rather powerful enemy.

That enemy was named Thor. Uh, the normal version of Thor, not that dead fat guy.

As Old Tony sent Drone Armor to put out the fire, he shouted at Thor, "Thor, you’re from that universe. Why are you doing this?"

"I’m sorry, Tony. I have to do this."

Thor shouted as he hurled Thor’s Hammer at Old Tony with all his strength. Old Tony looked absurdly amused. Why did that line sound so familiar? It seemed he had been saying it every day lately.

"Let’s capture this guy first. Sigh, though I hate to admit it, the age of the multiverse has still arrived."

Old Tony shook his head, activated Makkari’s ability, and suddenly appeared in front of Thor. Before Thor could react, Old Tony smashed a fist into his face, sending him flying backward.

Old Tony immediately caught up to the airborne Thor and punched him in the chest, sending him flying downward instead.

That was not all. Old Tony appeared beneath Thor and kicked upward with all his strength, launching Thor into the air. Just like that, Old Tony used Thor as a target dummy, leaving him completely unable to react.

Thor was furious and shocked. Violent lightning erupted all over his body, but Old Tony suddenly appeared more than ten meters away. Then his eyes glowed red, and two laser beams slammed into Thor. Thor fell from the sky and crashed into the ground with a boom, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"That’s impossible."

Thor shouted from the crater in disbelief. How could Iron Man possibly be this strong? "You’re still the same as before, but I’m no longer the man I used to be."

Old Tony said flatly, "Time is limited. I’m not wasting it on you."

With that, Old Tony activated the Space Stone’s power. A small space suddenly appeared and trapped Thor inside. Thor struggled desperately within it, but he could not break free from the small space’s restraints at all.

"A Thor this weak really brings back memories."

Old Tony shook his head. Once the fire had been put out, he took the Drone Armor to the next grain depot.

In this way, Wang Bert and Old Tony swiftly captured those "Super Heroes" and protected the grain depots. At the same time, a group of Super Heroes battled the Hulk Legion, nearly leveling the entire grassland.

The Hulks were strong, but the Super Heroes were no pushovers either. Especially since they had just leveled up two days ago.

"Your strength is decent, but only decent."

Carol let Hulk punch her as much as he wanted. Once she had accumulated enough power, she drove an uppercut into Hulk’s jaw. Hulk flew high into the air before crashing to the ground with a thunderous boom, his face blank with confusion. Who am I? Where am I? Tony used the Godslayer Armor to flicker nonstop around Hulk while firing laser after laser. Hulk had no chance to fight back and was completely reduced to a punching bag.

Fat Thor did not use Stormbreaker. He dealt with Hulk using only his fists, and Hulk was no match for him, getting knocked all over the place.

The others had improved just as dramatically. Some Hulks were knocked unconscious on the spot, while others were dragged into the Magic Array and forcibly put to sleep. Before long, they had all fallen.

"Finally dealt with them. Without Bert’s Magic Array, they would’ve been really hard to handle."

Tony sighed. "Those guys are not only tough as hell, but they can regenerate too. Disgusting."

"Disgusting?"

Dr. Banner looked displeased. Wasn’t that insulting him too? Black Widow sighed. "It’s hard to imagine that we actually took down so many Hulks. Compared to back then, we’ve become much stronger."

"After all, we’ve even fought a Creator God."

Steve said with a smile. Just then, Winter Soldier suddenly shouted, "Are the Hulks disappearing?"

Everyone froze and looked toward the Hulks, only to find that they were turning into phantoms. Carol and Thor immediately rushed over to grab them, but their hands passed through empty air.

Strange cast a spell immediately, but it had no effect either. Right before everyone’s eyes, all the Hulks vanished.

It was not just the Hulks. The prisoners captured by Wang Bert and Old Tony vanished as well. Even Wang Bert could not stop it.

"They’re no longer in this universe. The Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator’s technology is more advanced than I imagined."

After thinking for a moment, Wang Bert locked onto Old Tony’s location and teleported to his side. He asked, "Forget the enemies for now. How bad are the losses at the grain depots?"
