Bai Cangshu VS Odin!

"Ho, so Solomon had that kind of intention. Not bad~"

Bai Cangshu heard Tree Herder’s speculation about Solomon.

He realized that Tree Herder, who had turned himself into neither man nor ghost, was actually quite clever. He had probably noticed Solomon’s danger long ago.

Therefore, among the Far East Magic Society’s upper ranks, he alone could not be considered a true top-tier spellcaster.

He was closer to a summoner, but his summons did not rely on magic or spells. Instead, they took a form similar to human body modification.

That was the real reason Solomon had so easily spared him and let him act alongside Mercenary Tao.

Tree Herder believed that Solomon probably wanted to devour the other members’ power.

Bai Cangshu listened with great interest. The next moment, the information he wanted finally produced results.

After calculations by Tony Stark’s AI butler, Friday (F.R.I.D.A.Y.), an "nonexistent" individual was found in Rogaland County in southern Norway.

Although this person had often been sighted by others, Friday could find no records on him in the database, nor any information about family members. He was therefore judged to be the special existence Bai Cangshu was looking for.

Moments later, the three of them landed in this coastal city. With just a glance, Tree Herder seized control of the minds of two police officers leaning against a patrol car by the street, drinking coffee.

Without a word, the two officers tossed away their coffee, got into the patrol car, and drove toward the shore.

On a stretch of coast, an elderly man with long graying hair sat on a bench, crumbs of bread resting in his open palm.

Seabirds occasionally flew over to peck at the crumbs in his hand.

The old man simply watched the ever-churning sea in silence, letting the ocean breeze wash over him.

Click.

The sound of a bullet being chambered rang out clearly behind the old man.

The two officers stepped out of the patrol car and approached him from either side.

"Hey, old man, hands up, okay?"

The expressionless officer spoke in a flippant, natural voice.

The old man poured out the crumbs in his hand, dusted off his palms, and only then turned around to look at the two armed officers.

His gaze was deep. At a glance, he saw that these two humans had already lost their consciousness.

"I smell death… child, you emanate such a thick aura of death that it cannot disperse. Did you come for death?"

Tree Herder’s mouth opened and closed, clearly producing the old man’s voice.

Only then did his expression change in shock, and he instinctively controlled the two men to fire.

Bang!

Tree Herder opened his mouth again, imitating the sound of gunfire. But on the distant shore, the two officers had already scrambled back into the patrol car in terror and driven off in the opposite direction without looking back.

Seeing this, Bai Cangshu grinned.

Sure enough, even an Odin on the verge of dying from old age was still Odin!

He had not sensed any fluctuation or change in energy at all, yet Tree Herder had already been affected by Odin’s power.

Tree Herder’s face was also full of terror. Through the puppets he controlled, Odin had in turn controlled him…

Did Odin possess such an ability?

Artoria also lowered her body slightly as intense magical power gathered around her.

Whine~

From seven or eight kilometers away, Bai Cangshu condensed a Dodon Ray. Empowered by the Black Winged Great Demon’s Coat, his energy output was now extraordinarily efficient.

Pfft!

The air was pierced through. The golden beam twisted in front of the old man before dissipating. A massive birch tree could vaguely be seen enveloping Odin.

That was the power of Rune symbols.

Bjarkan (Protection, Birch)

Whine!

His ki continued to gather before firing out in rapid succession.

Yet no matter how many Dodon Rays he fired, the result did not change in the slightest. The Ki Blasts twisted and vanished before Odin.

It was as if an invisible force field directly dispersed all attacking energy.

Tree Herder saw it clearly. After what had happened when Odin had interfered with him earlier, he had already begun to think of retreating.

"The Odinforce is still there. Should we…"

"Shut up!"

Bai Cangshu’s voice was not loud, but a violent aura surged forth in an instant. Tree Herder did not dare speak again. He could only watch as Mercenary Tao slowly floated into the air before suddenly tearing through the sky toward Odin.

Bang bang bang bang!

Over the short distance of several thousand meters, four sonic booms exploded through the air in succession. When he landed, gale-force winds rushed backward, and even the waves seemed to be pressed down.

The instant Bai Cangshu flew over and landed, his tyrannical aura had already crashed down upon Odin with terrifying force.

Then crimson and black lightning intertwined as they erupted from Bai Cangshu’s body.

Boom!

Conqueror’s Haki swept through the entire city without the slightest concealment. In a single instant, the already small city was completely paralyzed.

Nearly everyone lost consciousness at once, and vehicles collided one after another in the streets.

Chaos descended. Dark clouds gathered in the sky, and the power of thunder rolled within them.

Bai Cangshu’s Magnetic Field Rotation could not yet stir the heavens with a single thought, but combined with Conqueror’s Haki and Satsui no Hado, merely releasing his aura was enough to alter the local weather.

Standing by the shore, Odin looked up as the sunlight above him was steadily consumed by the dark clouds. This human who had arrived with such a tyrannical aura radiated naked fighting intent from every inch of his body.

There was no reverence for gods in his eyes, only pride in his own power and greed for even greater strength.

"Child, having reached such heights, have you found even a little satisfaction?"

Perhaps because he was nearing the end of his life, the once-dominating ruler of the Nine Realms was unexpectedly concerned about the spiritual world of Bai Cangshu, a younger human, like a kindly old man.

Bai Cangshu had always been immune to this kind of verbal persuasion. He leaned forward, and terrifying power lay contained within his explosive physique.

Even the gods of Asgard were no more than this.

"Odin, shouldn’t Loki have stripped you of your divine power?"

"How did you block my attack?"

Odin looked at this human overflowing with vigorous life force. Compared to himself, the ruler of the Nine Realms who stood at life’s end, this human seemed more like the one capable of living forever.

Then he smiled and looked away.

"Energy holds no secrets in my eyes."

Bai Cangshu took one step and arrived before the aged God King. The twisted Three Parts Return to Origin Force around his body collided violently with the power of Rune symbols before Odin.

Sizzle!

Lightning appeared out of thin air as powerful impacts continuously erupted between them.

Bai Cangshu’s black hair streamed out in every direction. He raised his left hand and thrust it toward Odin’s body, seeming slow but moving fast.

"In other words, if I don’t rely on energy, then with this body and my martial arts, it’ll be easier for me to… kill you, right?!"

Odin turned his head and looked at the finger resolutely piercing through the two twisted force fields. It carried a dense scent of death that could not be dispersed.

It was different from the divine power of death possessed by his daughter. This felt even more silent and ethereal.

More like… that kind of power from the East.

"You are from that place…"

Sizzle!

Lightning exploded once more, but Bai Cangshu’s Left Arm of the King was completely unaffected by any force. It pierced directly through the Rune symbols’ defense.

Sure enough, when attacking with his physical body, the force field before Odin that could directly twist and disperse Dodon Rays did not appear. His left arm drove straight in, and one finger struck Odin in the chest.

Bang!

Before Odin could finish speaking, he felt immense force erupt from that slender finger.

The force was like a vortex, like a twisting long serpent bursting forth from a single point.

Though nearing the end of his life, Odin still possessed physical strength surpassing that of most Asgardian men. Yet under the exquisite force of this finger strike, his body slid backward beyond his control.

Crack, boom!

The shore beneath his feet collapsed with a roar. Although Odin possessed no particularly sophisticated method of dissipating force, his divine body was indeed tough enough that Bai Cangshu’s finger had not shattered it.

However, Bai Cangshu clearly sensed how weakened the aged God King’s current condition was.

This was merely his normal power, yet Odin’s body could already be driven back by him.

Once he entered his peak combat state, the other man’s flesh probably would not be able to withstand it at all.

"Heh… hehehe. Child, isn’t this aged state of mine precisely why you came looking for me? Why be disappointed…"

Even on the brink of death, Odin still radiated an insight that pierced straight into the heart.

Bai Cangshu did not think it was mind-reading.

"That’s right. I came because of your weakness, yet I’m disappointed because you truly are this weak. Killing you will give me power, but that power is too weak, and that too disappoints me."

"There’s no contradiction in that."

After a moment of silence, Odin said,

"So that’s it. You’re one of those people from that place…"

Bai Cangshu’s eyes widened. Just as he was about to question him, he saw Odin raise a hand, golden divine light beginning to bloom from his body.

At this moment, perhaps Odin should once again be called He.

The Odinforce had actually recovered out of nowhere?!

A powerful sense of danger suddenly erupted. Bai Cangshu stomped down hard.

Boom!

The entire shore began collapsing in an instant. At the same time, sensing the threat displayed by that divine power, scales of Kirin Armor began appearing across Bai Cangshu’s body.

His Strength, Constitution, Agility, and Efficiency instantly transformed into the terrifying value of 3.0.

Bai Cangshu’s presence abruptly soared!

Sizzle!

As if lightning had exploded, or perhaps as if the divine light had merely flashed, the aged Odin appeared behind Bai Cangshu as though he had torn through space.

He was once again clad in golden God King armor. One hand pressed toward the back of Bai Cangshu’s head, and the Three Parts Return to Origin Force burst apart with a pop.

Spiraling white cloud fragments exploded in all directions like an enormous lotus several hundred meters across.

Bai Cangshu’s eyes trembled as he lunged forward, slipping into the wind with the motion. But Odin ignored everything else and continued grabbing downward with one hand.

Bai Cangshu felt a huge hand seize him from the wind out of thin air.

The next moment, immense force engulfed him and slammed him toward the ground.

The earth had long since been shattered beneath Bai Cangshu’s stomp. As the shore crumbled and fell away, golden divine power shone, and rocks and sand from the sea flew upward.

Bai Cangshu blinked repeatedly, taking in this novel power.

It was as though a newly formed wall had risen from the sea and suddenly collided with him.

Boom!

Bai Cangshu’s entire body shook, and the shore collapsed once again.

Then he felt his body being hurled away by immense force. He twisted his body with the momentum, drawing back his right hand in a spiral. At the instant Odin threw him out, he slammed his palm into Odin’s chest.

Boom!

The terrifying force of the Rakshasa Palm twisted and howled, utterly blasting apart the air behind Odin in an instant.

Yet the old man’s body merely trembled once. He still maintained his stance, while Bai Cangshu was smashed into the seabed like an arrow.

Odin exhaled a breath of foul air mixed with countless flecks of golden radiance.

He would die soon, but before he died, he had to erase the Children of Slaughter from that place!

Odin raised his right hand. The next moment, a golden spear appeared, its tip aimed downward.

Golden thunderbolts in the sky completely evaporated the storm clouds. Golden clouds appeared overhead, an anomaly visible almost across the entire globe.

Odin endured the hollow emptiness that was about to consume him, wanting to fire the Odinforce through Gungnir. But from the sea below, an immense power suddenly erupted.

The force was so powerful and its aura so twisted that seawater surged backward and even gravity seemed to distort.

"Don’t you dare die, Odin!"

"Fight me in that state!"

From the depths of the sea, a man whose hair had turned gleaming white, as though it were about to stand up from his back, raised his head. The tails of the black coat behind him spread to either side like wings.

The man raised his head from the seabed, his gaze like flame and lightning as he stared directly at Odin, whose strength had returned in a final blaze.

What kind of gaze was that… His blazing fighting spirit was almost enough to ignite Odin.

Crack, crack…

The sound of the seabed splitting rang out. Standing in the air, Odin clearly saw the man bend his knees and crouch. The next moment, the seabed caved in and fractured.

Bang!

The figure, wrapped in sky-piercing ki, slammed directly toward him.

Protected by the Odinforce, Odin was almost immune to all physical attacks. Holding the spear in one hand, he did not expend that remaining divine power. Instead, he thrust downward directly.

Boom!

A terrifying shockwave erupted from the coastline.

Standing seven or eight kilometers away, Tree Herder shielded his face and watched as the golden shockwave almost instantly annihilated the highway, shopping mall, and residential district closest to the coast, before spreading toward the city center like a tidal wave.

Rumble!

The deafening roar nearly robbed him of his hearing completely. He could only curl up as gigantic plants grew from the ground before him, preventing the terrifying shockwave, like a Category 13 hurricane, from blowing him away.

"Mercenary Tao!"

"This is Mercenary Tao’s power!"

"Ha, hahaha… hahahaha! I made the right choice!"

He screamed madly into the gale, as though venting the fear suppressed deep in his heart at Artoria.

But Artoria merely held one hand before her face and dragged the holy sword in the other, ready to strike at any moment.

In a luxurious hotel in downtown New York, the naked Jin suddenly opened his eyes. He directly melted through the wall and glass before flying into the sky.

He sensed a terrifying divine power.

It was power beyond energy, beyond ordinary authorities, awakening.

Who had enraged one of this world’s top Plot Characters? Solomon?!

My chance has come?

Meanwhile, in Scotland, Solomon merely lowered his eyelids as he looked at the black-robed man who had pierced Xinfeng with a single spear thrust. With one hand, he pulled back the Snow Witch, who was unable to cast magic.

He looked at the strange War Blade in the black-robed man’s hand.

"Corvus Glaive has appeared early… Has the worldline been distorted?!"
