Battle Against Steppenwolf!

Hal looked toward the sound and saw a yellow-skinned Green Lantern rapidly press his hands together in a seal!

In an instant, the entire earth seemed to be violently churned by an invisible giant hand, releasing a dull roar! Immediately afterward, countless thick, twisted trunks burst from the ground like ancient dragons awakening from slumber, crazily climbing toward the sky!

The trunks had rough surfaces covered in sharp barbs. They intertwined and coiled around one another, forming an impenetrable green barrier in the blink of an eye and blocking the tide-like swarm of Parademons outside!

The once ferocious, unstoppable Parademons crashed headlong into the suddenly formed forest barrier, letting out shrill screeches! The trunks continued growing and spreading outward, keeping more Parademons beyond the safe zone. Dust filled the air, making the battlefield increasingly hazy.

At the same time, Bruce Yu raised the hand wearing the Green Lantern Ring. The ring shone brilliantly as emerald energy surged like a raging torrent toward the Boom Tube Bomb’s charging gap.

With that powerful energy flowing into it, the Boom Tube Bomb’s charging bar began rapidly rising, and its formerly dim shell once again emitted a faint glow.

Seeing this, a spark of hope ignited in Hal’s eyes. Dragging his injured body forward, he approached Bruce Yu with difficulty and asked urgently, "Who are you? Your ability is unbelievable!"

Bruce Yu shrugged, a bitter smile appearing on his face. "It doesn’t matter. Names aren’t important. The chances of survival are far too slim."

His words made it sound as though he had lost his willpower, yet the fact that he was still accepted by the green light proved otherwise. The slim survival odds he spoke of clearly did not refer to himself.

As they spoke, more Parademons gathered in the distance. Seemingly enraged by the sudden turn of events, they prepared to launch an even fiercer assault.

But in the next instant, an even more powerful and violent aura came surging in!

The Parademons were startled and scattered in all directions.

Like a black meteor wrapped in rolling dust, it crashed forcefully into the battlefield!

The Mangekyō Sharingan focused.

This was bad!

A real monster had arrived!

Steppenwolf roared as he swung his axe, hacking fiercely at the forest created by Deep Forest Emergence!

That axe strike carried the force to topple mountains and overturn seas. The moment its blade touched the forest, a blinding flash erupted, followed by a deafening explosion that sounded as though it would tear heaven and earth apart!

The blast’s powerful shockwave was like an invisible giant force, reducing the forest to ruin with overwhelming force.

The thick trunks were instantly blown to pieces, wood chips filling the sky. The once-lush green barrier had become a complete mess.

Hal Jordan had still held onto a sliver of hope, but when he saw this scene, his brows instantly furrowed tightly, his gaze filled with gravity and vigilance.

Bruce Yu knew full well how terrifying Steppenwolf was.

Though he was no match for Superman, the fact that he could remain at ease while being besieged by Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Batman, Aquaman, and Flash—the five DC titans—was enough to prove that his strength surpassed imagination.

Bruce Yu did not dare underestimate him in the slightest. He took a deep breath, and his aura abruptly soared. He was going all out!

He let out a fierce shout as the Chakra of the Eight Gates Formation circulated wildly through his body!

"Gate of Pain!"

"Open!"

In an instant, a layer of scorching Blue Steam surrounded Bruce Yu’s body. His muscles swelled from the influx of Chakra, and his entire being gave off a powerful aura of someone ready to die without hesitation!

Hal’s eyelids twitched wildly!

Since when did a Green Lantern Ring have effects like this?

But this still was not enough!

Bruce Yu narrowed his eyes slightly as a faint layer of white light slowly clung to his body surface like a gauzy veil!

He threw back his head and shouted, activating the Armored Susanoo Ghoul Form in an instant!

Before Hal could recover from the shocking sight, Bruce Yu was already charging at Steppenwolf like a cannonball fired from its barrel!

Steppenwolf saw this and curled his lips into a disdainful smirk.

Steppenwolf had destroyed hundreds of civilizations. In his eyes, Bruce Yu was nothing more than an overconfident ant.

Unhurriedly, he raised his battle axe and smashed it viciously down at Bruce Yu with boundless force, making the air itself erupt with explosive booms!

Bruce Yu’s gaze was unwavering. The instant he neared Steppenwolf, he flicked his right hand, sending a kunai flying toward him!

Seeing that tiny kunai, Steppenwolf did not even consider dodging. To him, it was no different from an ancient man throwing a stone—completely harmless.

However, just as the axe was about to fall, a sharp glint flashed through Bruce Yu’s eyes. In an instant, brilliant golden light flashed, and Bruce Yu vanished from where he stood!

Steppenwolf’s strike hit nothing!

The next second, Bruce Yu appeared behind Steppenwolf! Several Ghoul Tails shot out like agile spears, piercing straight toward Steppenwolf’s living armor with sharp whistles!

"Screech!"

Sparks flew everywhere as the Tails collided with the armor, producing a piercing sound.

Steppenwolf only felt an itch on his back. He roared angrily, spinning around as his battle axe swept behind him like a whirlwind.

But when he turned around, Bruce Yu had already vanished!

Bruce Yu appeared beside Hal once more!

Hal was dumbfounded, and even Steppenwolf was somewhat confused!

Steppenwolf scratched his head and muttered, "Was he just too fast?"

Of course, it was not speed.

It was Teleportation!

However, even Teleportation could not deal much effective damage to Steppenwolf. It was not only because his armor’s defense was too high, but also because his neural reaction speed could keep up with Flash.

"This is a little difficult. We probably can’t hold this place."

Bruce Yu spoke bluntly. Beside him, Hal Jordan frowned deeply. "Yeah! I know this guy! He’s an extremely troublesome enemy!"

Just considering the sense of oppression Steppenwolf gave off, if it had been Steppenwolf rather than Loki who came during the Avengers’ Battle of New York, the Avengers would probably have been wiped out.

Hal Jordan shook his head forcefully. "No! There’s only three percent left. If we leave now, everyone who sacrificed themselves before will have died for nothing!"

Bruce Yu turned and glanced at the progress bar. He also felt that simply running away at this point would indeed be hard to justify.

"Fine! Running isn’t my style either!"

"Steppenwolf, is it?"

After a moment of silence, sage mode markings appeared on his face.
