Battle with Supergiant

With Supergiant’s sensing abilities, if not for that mysterious Soul Powder, Wang Bert would have been exposed even if he had used Pym Particles to shrink his soul. After all, Supergiant was an expert in telepathy, and she was currently controlling the Mind Stone.

The Collector’s collection really was excellent. Wang Bert sometimes considered deliberately leaving a flaw so the Collector could escape, then capturing him again a few years later and harvesting another round of spoils.

That was how Supergiant became Thanos’s most loyal subordinate.

"Should I be saying, leave her to me?"

Wang Bert was speechless. Such a great way to recruit subordinates—why did he never run into opportunities like that?

Hiding Supergiant inside the Mind Stone—Thanos really is ruthless. Good thing I discovered this, or who knows how much trouble she would have caused in the future.

At that moment, the entire world shook. Then, blue-faced Supergiant, clad in silver-black armor and a cloak, appeared before Wang Bert.

Supergiant looked at Wang Bert, who was as small as an ant, and sneered. "I’ve never seen anyone as stupid as you. You actually came to my home ground to die? Blood God’s senior brother, is there something wrong with your brain?"

"Supergiant, how about switching sides and becoming my subordinate?"

Wang Bert returned to his original size and smiled. "Thanos never gave you a deadline for death, but I can. Serve me for one year, and I’ll kill you. Uh, maybe you won’t even survive a year, because I’ll definitely use you to the fullest. Have you heard of 007?"

"You cannot kill me. Only the great Thanos can grant me eternal death."

Supergiant smiled disdainfully. "Since you delivered yourself to me, I’ll control you and use you against Blood God."

As she spoke, Supergiant secretly controlled invisible Mind Energy to envelop Wang Bert. Prepared in advance, Wang Bert easily kept all the Mind Energy outside with Iron Fist Power.

"Qi!"

Supergiant’s gaze sharpened. She raised both hands, and an enormous amount of pale-yellow Mind Energy surged from the surroundings, rushing toward Wang Bert like ocean waves.

This was the Mind Stone’s power. With the Mind Stone’s assistance, Supergiant was confident she could control even God-Devil Level experts. In fact, she could now stand shoulder to shoulder with God-Devil Level powerhouses.

Wang Bert spread his hands, and a massive Buddhist Script Golden Bell appeared before him, blocking the Mind Energy.

"It’s useless. This is my home ground, and my Mind Energy is inexhaustible."

Supergiant laughed loudly. "I am the master of the Mind Stone."

"The master of the Mind Stone?"

Wang Bert smiled with contempt. "The Mind Stone—or rather, the Infinity Stones—have no master. You can use the Mind Stone because of the Mind Scepter."

The Infinity Stones would not acknowledge masters. They would only permit certain people to use them. Moreover, the Infinity Stones’ power was too great and usually required tools for support—these tools mainly served to limit the Infinity Stones’ energy output.

Ancient One’s Eye of Agamotto, Ronan’s Universal Weapon, the Mind Stone’s Mind Scepter, and the Tesseract surrounding the Space Stone all worked this way.

"I possess the Mind Scepter now, and the Mind Stone is willing to let me use it. How am I any different from its master?"

Supergiant sneered. At the same time, the pale-yellow waves suddenly doubled in size, battering the golden bell until it teetered on the verge of collapse.

Wang Bert smiled faintly. In the laboratory, Wanda suddenly screamed. A Dragon God made of qi flew from her chest and struck the Mind Scepter before anyone could react.

The Dragon God then exploded with a thunderous boom, shattering the Mind Scepter into pieces. The yellow Mind Stone fell to the ground with a ding.

After that, Wanda and Pietro both collapsed unconscious.

Dr. List and the others were shocked and hurriedly checked on Wanda, Pietro, and the Mind Stone.

One researcher stared at the Mind Stone, entranced, and could not help grabbing it. The next moment, pale-yellow light filled his eyes. Then blood poured from all seven of his orifices, and he died miserably on the spot.

"Don’t touch that gem! Mortals cannot withstand its power."

Inside the Mind Stone, the pale-yellow energy that had resembled ocean waves vanished completely in an instant. Sensing what had happened outside, Supergiant’s expression changed. "You destroyed the Mind Scepter?"

"That’s right. Now we’re back on the same starting line."

Wang Bert smiled. "Did you think I would dare enter without making preparations?"

"You idiot! Without the Mind Scepter, we’ll never be able to leave this place."

"Only you can’t get out. I can leave whenever I want."

Wang Bert smiled. "Blood God is my junior brother. He has the Space Stone."

"You won’t get the chance, because you will definitely become my slave."

Supergiant roared and tried to draw upon Mind Energy without the Mind Scepter.

"You can draw it, and so can I. It means nothing."

Wang Bert spread his arms and attempted to draw Mind Energy. The next moment, a vast amount of pale-yellow energy emerged on Supergiant’s side, while there was not even a trace on Wang Bert’s.

"Huh?"

Wang Bert blinked and tried again. Still nothing.

Seeing this, Supergiant burst into laughter. "Blood God’s senior brother, not just anyone can use the Mind Stone. You’ve overestimated yourself."

Wang Bert’s voice sounded behind Supergiant. Then a dragon-shaped blast of qi shot forth, sending Supergiant flying like a meteor despite the Mind Shield she hastily raised.

Supergiant abruptly turned in midair and raised her left hand. A large amount of Mind Energy transformed into a tsunami that swept toward Wang Bert.

Then Supergiant raised her right hand, and Mind Energy transformed into countless monsters she had seen before, such as two-headed beasts and golden dragon pythons. They charged ferociously at Wang Bert.

Wang Bert suddenly vanished. When he reappeared, he was already at Supergiant’s side. Then his palms struck out in an unending barrage, the powerful palm force sweeping the air before him completely away.

There was air here, but it was not real air. It was air imagined by Wang Bert and Supergiant, just like the ground.

Supergiant possessed incredibly strong telepathy and had long discovered where Wang Bert would teleport. She shouted, and Mind Energy transformed into a sturdy shield before her.

Bang! The powerful palm force slammed fiercely against the Mind Shield. The shield shattered with a bang, while the remaining force continued toward Supergiant.

Supergiant abruptly vanished. When she reappeared, she was behind Wang Bert. A crystal-clear dagger appeared out of thin air and viciously stabbed toward Wang Bert’s back.

This was the Mind Teleportation Technique.

Wang Bert used Dragon God Tail Sweep, turning and kicking Supergiant away. Unfortunately, Supergiant had prepared a Mind Shield in advance and was not seriously injured.

"You are indeed powerful, but it’s useless. This is my home ground. Mind Energy can do anything."

Supergiant shouted, "Spatial Shackles."

A massive clump of Mind Energy gathered together before exploding violently. The surrounding space was completely sealed, and Wang Bert could no longer teleport.

Then Supergiant controlled countless monsters to rush at Wang Bert. Once Wang Bert was entangled, she spread her hands. Mind Energy gathered before her body, gradually forming a humanoid figure.

"So what if this is your home ground? Since I dared come here, I’m confident I can win."

Wang Bert snorted coldly. His hands struck out repeatedly, and one Dragon God after another roared forth, blasting apart the attacking monsters in succession.

Though facing a thousand enemies alone, Wang Bert was not at a disadvantage in the slightest.

Supergiant did not care, because Mind Energy was inexhaustible. No matter how many monsters died, she could replenish them immediately.

A moment later, the humanoid figure before Supergiant completely formed. Then the mental glow dissipated, revealing a familiar figure in Wang Bert’s sight.

Wang Bert said contemptuously, "Hey, this is a battle, not a beauty pageant. What’s the point of creating a guy so handsome he could make heaven and earth weep?"

Supergiant did not even know how to respond. "Your skin is way too thick. Isn’t that just you?"

"What did he say wrong?"

The Wang Bert clone created by Supergiant turned around and asked in confusion, "I really am handsome."

"Get over there and kill him."

Supergiant kicked the clone toward Wang Bert. The clone flipped through the air and slammed both palms down at Wang Bert with overwhelming force. "Kill you, and I’ll become the most handsome man in the world."

Mind Copy—not only could it replicate an opponent’s strength, it could also replicate their personality and thoughts.

This was Supergiant’s trump card. She normally could not copy Wang Bert, but the inexhaustible Mind Energy allowed her to complete the technique.

It was worth noting that the clone only possessed the strength Wang Bert had displayed. It did not have Wang Bert’s other two powers, because Supergiant had failed to invade Wang Bert’s mind.

"Just what I wanted. This world doesn’t need someone as handsome as me."

Wang Bert shouted and met the attack with both palms. With a thunderous boom, the surrounding air turned into a hurricane that blew all the monsters away.

Then Wang Bert and the clone engaged in combat at astonishing speed. Dragon-shaped blasts of qi continuously roared forth, and the area around them was even beaten into a vacuum. Any monster that approached them was instantly pulverized.

"Blood God’s senior brother really is powerful. Unfortunately, no matter how strong he is, he cannot defeat his own clone."

Supergiant smiled coldly and absorbed a large amount of Mind Energy from the surroundings, forming a scepter in front of her.

This scepter was the Mind Scepter. Once it was completed, even Wang Bert would be controlled by her. The only problem was that it required a great deal of time to condense—which was why she had created Wang Bert’s clone first.

Sensing Supergiant’s movements, Wang Bert sneered inwardly. I’m waiting for you to use your ultimate move.

At the same time, at the temporary headquarters in Latveria, Steve received word that the Hydra base had heightened its alert and frowned slightly. Had Hydra discovered something? "If they notice us in advance, it’ll be troublesome. A voice suddenly sounded. Then the oppressive aura quickly withdrew. It still existed, but it no longer carried that crushing pressure.

Skye froze, then shouted in delight, "That voice? Master?"
