Becoming Superman: Day One (Please Bookmark)
In the end, Peter did not move the spaceship after all.
Although this spaceship had been created by the system, it was no different from a real one.
He could fly it out of Earth’s atmosphere, travel through the stars, and roam the universe.
However, his Superman abilities had yet to fully awaken.
And Peter did not know how to fly a spaceship. After all, his high school did not offer a spaceship piloting major.
So Peter left the spaceship where it was.
"Once my Superman abilities fully awaken, I’ll find you a more comfortable home."
After completely concealing the basement entrance beneath heavy objects, Peter murmured to the ground.
Then he turned and left the warehouse that had completely changed his life, never looking back.
"Unfortunately, it’s already evening. If I want to bask in the sun, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow."
When Peter walked out of the warehouse, he found that the sun had already set and evening had arrived.
No matter how excited he was or how badly he wanted to soak up sunlight, absorb solar energy, and awaken his Superman abilities as soon as possible, he could only wait until tomorrow.
Suppressing his excitement, Peter returned to the cabin where they would be staying that night.
"Peter, you’re back just in time. Come have dinner."
By coincidence, Aunt May had just finished making dinner when Peter returned to the cabin.
"Okay, thank you, Aunt May."
Perhaps because his physique had changed, Peter realized that he was genuinely hungry.
He could not help rushing to the dining table, grabbing the dinner Aunt May had prepared, and wolfing it down.
Aunt May watched Peter stuffing himself with concern in her eyes and said indulgently, "This child, slow down. No one’s going to steal it from you."
Peter soon stopped.
Not because he was full, but because he had nearly finished all the dinner Aunt May had prepared.
"I’m going to bed first. Uncle Ben, Aunt May, good night."
Although he still felt a little hungry, Peter did not show it. He eagerly said good night to the Parker Couple, then rushed back to his room.
"This child seems a little strange today."
Watching Peter hurry back to his room, Aunt May could not help feeling that he had been acting strangely today.
"Probably tired from cleaning up the warehouse. It’s normal. When I was his age…"
Ben was habitually reading the newspaper. Hearing Aunt May’s words, he spoke slowly without even looking up.
"Stop reading and eat."
Apparently annoyed by Ben’s indifferent tone, Aunt May snatched the newspaper from his hands and tossed the last plate of sandwiches in front of him.
"I’m eating. Let me finish reading that article first…"
Back in his room, Peter lay on his bed but did not immediately drift off to sleep.
Instead, he summoned his system panel.
"Just what is this system? It can alter a world’s reality without anyone noticing."
Peter had been too overwhelmed by the joy of gaining Superman’s abilities to carefully investigate the system’s origins.
But now that he had calmed down, Peter suddenly realized just how unbelievable everything the system had done was.
After all, altering the reality of an entire world without leaving any trace was definitely no simple matter.
What was more, he was currently in the Marvel Universe.
There were countless beings here who surpassed the universal level, and on Earth alone, there was currently a powerful being who knew the past and the future.
"Forget it. Everything I have comes from this system. What’s the point of digging into its origins?"
"I should use this time to properly study how to use this system."
Peter soon gave up on investigating the system’s origins and carefully examined whether it had any functions besides granting him the Superman template.
"Points can be exchanged for items in the Point Shop. So without a doubt, points are the most important thing in this system."
"But how do I unlock the System Shop, and how do I earn points?"
Based on the novels from his previous life, Peter easily understood that points were the most important thing in the system.
With points, he could exchange them for more powerful things and abilities.
For example, a stronger Superman template apparently required enough points to exchange for it.
After all, according to the description on his character panel, he currently only possessed the Normal Superman template. At its strongest, he seemed to be roughly on par with what had been shown in the movie "Superman: Man of Steel."
And if he relied on time to gradually evolve his Superman physique, who knew how long that would take.
After all, in the comics, Superman had absorbed energy at the center of the sun for tens of thousands of years before finally evolving into Golden Superman.
There were two ways to obtain points. The first was completing missions issued by the system. The second was changing the lives of people in the current world. The more famous the person, the more points he would receive after altering their life trajectory.
Once he successfully obtained 1,000 points, the Point Shop would automatically unlock.
Perhaps sensing Peter’s question, a piece of information surfaced in his mind once more.
It not only explained how to obtain points, but also introduced the requirements for unlocking the Point Shop.
"Changing the fate of famous people?"
"Then if I make that arrogant bastard stop developing armor and go study magic instead, that should count as changing his fate, right?"
At that moment, Peter seemed to understand what he should do in the future.
"Isn’t it just changing other people’s destinies? I might not be able to protect this world with the mercy of Superman, but making it even more chaotic like Homelander would be easy, wouldn’t it?"
At that moment, Peter was already imagining how, once his Superman abilities fully awakened, he would show the people of this world the intimidation of "Homelander."
After all, who had not fantasized about doing whatever they wanted after gaining Superman’s abilities?
"I really hope tomorrow comes soon…"
Amid his boundless anticipation for tomorrow, Peter slowly fell asleep at some point.
Knock, knock, knock…
"Peter, get up and eat breakfast. After that, we still need to clear the weeds on the farm."
Early in the morning, while Peter was still half-asleep, Uncle Ben’s deep voice rang out from outside the door.
"I’ll be right there, Uncle Ben."
The facts proved that even after becoming Superman, Peter still could not escape the fate of clearing weeds on the farm with Uncle Ben.
"Hey, Peter, this patch is yours, and that side is mine. Let’s see who clears theirs faster."
The massive farm now seemed like an endless prairie.
"When am I ever going to finish clearing all this?"
Looking at the vast stretch of weeds nearly a meter tall, Peter felt like he was about to collapse.
"Luckily, pulling weeds won’t stop me from basking in the sun."
At that moment, as he felt the sun in the sky radiating intense light and heat,
the Superman Bloodline within Peter had already begun to stir!
