Binary Paradox, Bai Cangshu’s Transformation

Before long, Red Dust appeared in a Private Space. The distant sea and the grasslands beneath his feet looked boundless. Though he knew that the farthest reaches were most likely an illusion, Red Dust still felt his heart tremble at the number of kills represented by this Private Space.

Even a Scarlet Great Sin Reincarnator like Mercenary Tao probably had not had time to kill so many Reincarnators.

It was said that, at the beginning of this generation of the Infinite Dimensional Space, the struggle over Secondary Worlds had been extremely bloody. Countless rising High-tier Reincarnators had slaughtered one another almost without pause.

The Space had deployed batches of High-tier Reincarnators into the same Secondary Worlds and Native Worlds, rapidly creating a group of top-tier Reincarnators through an extremely high death rate.

Only after that did the Space slow its deployment rate, even deciding to temporarily suspend deployments in certain worlds struck by massive disasters.

This change in policy was linked to the Space’s overall strength.

"Your Excellency, if you wished to see me, you only needed to have someone notify me. There was no need for you to come personally…"

Red Dust was extremely respectful toward a terrifying Reincarnator he could not resist.

The twin-tailed girl stood on the grasslands, gazing at the distant sea. She ignored Red Dust’s flattery and merely said,

"I can still use my Title Ability once."

"Find Mercenary Tao, or…"

Perhaps unwilling to voice an even more terrifying threat, the girl trailed off. Luoxi added,

"Or Your Excellency can only use the ability on someone else… I heard you were the one who survived the battle between the Mad King and Mercenary Tao. Are you really much stronger than Show and Mo Shi Mo Wang?"

Luoxi’s words were somewhat cutting, but they worked wonderfully.

Red Dust’s smugness at having survived by luck was quickly shattered.

It was said that Life of Silence’s Title Ability contained the Authority of the Fate Aspect and Causality Law, making it the most terrifying killing ability.

Red Dust gave a bitter smile and repeatedly waved his hands.

"I’ve already handed over all the information I have. I didn’t see much of the battle between Mercenary Tao and the Mad King. I only know that after the Mad King transformed, he directly beat Mercenary Tao into the sea…"

"Then Mercenary Tao… turned into a monster and instantly sent Mo Shi Mo Wang, me, and the others flying. I was lucky enough to survive. The others were unlucky, so they died…"

He frankly admitted that his survival had been entirely due to luck. He also did not believe that Mercenary Tao, in that state, would have spared him out of any old affection.

"I want to search your soul."

The girl’s voice was calm and cold. Red Dust froze where he stood. Of course, he could refuse, but he thought that refusing this young-looking Excellency now would probably mean directly offending her…

Damn it, where the hell did Mercenary Tao go? I really don’t kno…

Wait. Red Dust suddenly remembered that when his consciousness had been fading, he had heard the soul-shaking roar of the monster in the sky. He seemed to have seen an illusory black-and-white staircase, with Mercenary Tao standing upon it and stuffing something into his body.

"See? You lunatic, you’ve turned your body into a complete mess again!"

"Yeah. It was right for this guy to enhance his immortality. Otherwise, who knows how many times he would have died already…"

"What’s with all of you? Why are you all inside Mercenary Tao’s consciousness?"

"Ha~ Then who are you? We’ve never seen the Throne of the Heart truly fall into the Yellow Springs before…"

Bai Cangshu lay on his back, drifting across the azure sea. Several seabirds landed on him and gently pecked at him, seemingly hoping to sample some rotten flesh.

But Bai Cangshu’s mouth kept opening, producing all sorts of different voices, and the birds were quickly frightened away.

He showed no reaction. His dark green trench coat was soaked by seawater, and he was like an empty shell, allowing the various consciousnesses within him to converse freely.

Bai Cangshu’s body was currently intact, but his seawater-soaked hair was half black and half white, spreading beneath him with the currents.

The Consciousness Space within Bai Cangshu was now in utter chaos. The Throne of the Heart, which had always floated in the air, had fallen directly into the Yellow Springs.

Countless pitch-black spirits now wrapped completely around the Throne of the Heart like mud. The various consciousness entities wished for nothing more than to merge into the throne.

Uchiha Madara stood with his arms folded, coldly watching this scene. The owner of the Throne of the Heart had probably done something insane again.

On the other side, Guardian Spirit Lu Bu shook his Sky Halberd, sending all the nearby spirits flying before walking toward the Throne of the Heart.

White Face, who had received a promise of resurrection but had yet to be resurrected, curled her lips as she watched Lu Bu with teasing mockery.

She had merely seen that Black Face was still leaning beneath the enormous broccoli without making any other move, and she knew that Mercenary Tao had not suffered any fatal injury at all.

These spirits were merely wasting their efforts.

She only watched as countless black patterns began appearing in this pure white Consciousness Space, becoming even more curious about what Mercenary Tao had done—or rather, what he had obtained—to cause such a change in the Consciousness Space.

Some powerful Authority?

Or… a new staircase!

White Face carefully observed the black patterns in the space. They seemed like some sort of curse mark, yet they also radiated the aura of a powerful soul.

Mercenary Tao possessed powerful Spiritual Pressure. She had already known that. His ability to completely suppress the deified Black Face represented that Mercenary Tao’s soul stood at an extremely high level.

Originally, White Face had believed that power had been granted to Mercenary Tao by the Mount Tai Imperial Lord Ritual. But now, she was beginning to feel that Mercenary Tao himself might be hiding some secret.

Suddenly, White Face froze. In one corner of the Consciousness Space, those black patterns were moving, forming shapes like pairs of eyes.

Then, those eyes opened!

A familiar pair of eyes appeared within the space. Even White Face felt something strange at that moment.

This Mercenary Tao… had merged into the Consciousness Space?!

Then who was controlling this body now?!

White Face abruptly rose to her feet. Shamanic Power instantly flooded her entire body, Fox Fire ignited, and her Possessed Spirit appeared.

"This body… this body can only reach its greatest value under my control!"

The Azure Flames surged in an instant. Even within her body, another soul began to stir because of the rampage of her Shamanic Power.

A golden soul slowly began squeezing out of her body.

Black Face merely watched everything indifferently, with no intention of stopping it.

He clearly heard the voice of his true master beside his ear.

"Black Face, leave them alone. Let them fight over it. Let them slaughter one another…"

"They will all become nourishment for me to complete myself."

"Hey, old woman, there’s someone in the sea!"

A cry of surprise emerged from the fog-shrouded sea. Then, a fishing boat slowly approached. The dark-skinned man aboard bent down and saw a fair-faced man.

He immediately took out a fishhook and dragged the man closer.

The woman who heard his shout was similarly dark-skinned. She walked over, and when she saw the man in the sea, she could not take her eyes off him.

"Stop staring, old woman. If we sell this guy to those people in the city, we’ll get at least 800,000 pesos!"

The two of them shoved and tugged, hauling the man aboard.

"What should we do? These two saved us, but they also want to traffic us. Is that good or evil?"

"Even if they hadn’t saved us, we wouldn’t have died. In the end, they only saved us to sell us for money. It’s evil. Kill them!"

"No, no, no. I think they only want to traffic us because this body is exceptionally attractive. If it were someone without value, perhaps they would only save them. It should count as good. We can’t kill them."

The two fishermen watched the man, whose eyes remained shut while his mouth kept muttering to itself, and felt the sea breeze around them grow even colder.

They could not understand Dongxia Language. The man felt intense unease, and recalling the matter of Ability Users, he instinctively picked up a fishhook and aimed it at the handsome man’s chest.

"See? Evil!"

"Evil!"

"Mm, hostile intent. It truly is evil."

"Evil…"

The noisy voices quickly unified, converging into a single word: evil.

The fisherman took two steps back. In the next instant, a golden beam pierced through him.

Pfft!

His head exploded like a watermelon. The woman froze in place, only letting out a terrified scream moments later.

She kept backing away, only to see the man with closed eyes rise straight up and walk toward her like a Monster from legend.

She grabbed a fishing spear and aimed it at him.

Pfft!

"Mm, she’s evil too…"

A faint Black Thorns Crown flickered above Bai Cangshu’s head.
