Black Hole
The United Cosmic Council convened inside the Nova Corps headquarters building. The attendees were all leaders of the various empires across the universe, including Danger Bird, the Empress of the Shi’ar Empire. There were even representatives from both the Kree Empire and the Skrull Empire. Naturally, their true bodies could not possibly have arrived; the meeting was more like a video conference, except this one spanned the universe.
"Does anyone know where Thanos is now? Or what he wants to do?" At the head of the long conference table, a white-haired old man asked between violent coughs. His holographic figure trembled slightly, immediately drawing everyone’s attention.
The somewhat noisy conference room instantly fell silent. Everyone turned to look at Adora, the Nova Queen who had convened this meeting. Danger Bird sat calmly, her phoenix eyes tilted upward as she gazed at Adora with profound meaning. From time to time, her eyes drifted toward the Skrull and Kree representatives, her expression slightly forlorn.
Danger Bird had learned of Thanos’s return long ago and had kept it secret, intending to use Thanos to weaken the Skrulls and the Kree. But before she could put her plan into action, Adora had revealed the news of Thanos, leaving Danger Bird deeply frustrated and resentful of Adora as well.
How could Adora have known what Danger Bird was thinking? Feeling everyone’s eyes on her, she immediately straightened up, swept her gaze across everyone present, and began explaining with a grave expression.
When Adora finished speaking, everyone present was stunned. Even Danger Bird, who had initially seemed unconcerned, became tense. Even Warlock Adam, who had once defeated Thanos, had fallen. The reborn Thanos was even more terrifying than before. And that was absolutely not good news for the entire universe!
Faced with such a formidable Thanos, no one dared to remain careless. They all set aside their various thoughts and began seriously considering the crisis before them.
While the United Cosmic Council noisily debated ways to deal with Thanos, and while the Thanos who had vanished for several days and reappeared began a frenzied slaughter, ripples suddenly spread through the cold, silent universe within the Dead Zone at the border of the Nova Empire, like a stone dropped into a calm lake.
The ripples quickly vanished, but at their source, a fist-sized Black Hole had appeared.
The Black Hole was tiny, but its gravitational pull was immense. Like a ravenous beast, it crazily devoured everything around it. Whether cosmic dust or stray beams of light passing through, everything was swallowed, and nothing could escape.
As it continued devouring, the Black Hole gradually grew larger. As its size increased, its gravity grew stronger as well. The area affected became wider, and it absorbed more and more things. It was as though it had fallen into a Vicious Cycle; the ever-growing Black Hole would eventually devour everything.
And that was exactly what happened. When the Black Hole expanded to over a thousand meters across, a planet finally failed to resist its gravitational pull. It was torn from its original orbit and slowly slid into the depths of the Black Hole, ultimately vanishing completely.
Time passed unnoticed. Thanos continued his frenzied slaughter, while the United Cosmic Council discussed matters endlessly without reaching any definite conclusion. Many factions still clung to wishful thinking. The places where Thanos appeared were simply too far from their territories, so they had no desire to put in too much effort.
After days of back-and-forth wrangling, there was still no definite outcome. Left with no choice, Adora took the initiative to join forces with the Shi’ar Empire, the Skrull Empire, and the Kree Empire. The three great empires dispatched their strongest combined force, preparing to "encircle and eliminate" Thanos.
At this moment, the Dead Zone at the Nova Empire’s border, where a great battle had once erupted, had truly become a dead zone. There was nothing left—not planets, not even the slightest speck of cosmic dust. Even the Black Hole that had appeared before was gone, as if it had never existed.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in the dead-silent universe. It was none other than Alex, who had supposedly died beneath Thanos’s Black Hole. Yet for some reason, he had come back to life! Moreover, judging by his aura, Alex seemed several times stronger than before. Every movement he made seemed capable of stirring the entire starry sky.
"I’m finally alive again!" After glancing around, the increasingly rugged lines of Alex’s face softened somewhat. Mesmerizing starlight flickered in his deep eyes, as brilliant and dazzling as the stars in the night sky.
Thinking about everything he had gone through lately, Alex could not help feeling deeply emotional. Transmigrating and being reborn had already been incredible, but he had never imagined that one day he would actually merge with a Black Hole. There truly was no such thing as the most incredible—only something even more incredible!
Back during that battle, after Alex had been effortlessly subdued by Thanos, Thanos had pressed a Black Hole directly into Alex’s heart. Without any surprise, the Black Hole destroyed Alex’s body, along with everything else.
Originally, death should have awaited Alex. But driven by his powerful will to survive, Alex refused to perish like that and desperately tried to stop the Black Hole. That was when something astonishing happened.
After all his other abilities failed one after another, Alex began desperately channeling his telepathy, hoping to use its control to stop the Black Hole. But to his surprise, when the Psionic Power infused with Alex’s powerful will came into contact with the Black Hole, an unexpected change occurred. The two actually fused together!
Faced with this situation, Alex’s first instinct was to sever the connection between them. Because after the fusion, Alex felt as though even his soul was about to be swallowed by the Black Hole.
But clearly, Alex’s struggle was futile. In the end, after Alex’s body completely turned to dust and merged into the Black Hole, his soul fused with it as well. Only then did Alex unexpectedly discover that his fusion with the Black Hole felt more like what had happened back on Earth, when Black Queen’s scheme had forced his body to be frozen and Alex could only transfer his consciousness into another "body."
"Consciousness Transfer?" The term invented by Zola surfaced in Alex’s mind, yet he only became more confused. Can a Black Hole store consciousness?
No one could answer Alex’s question. Gradually, Alex adapted to his new "body" and began trying to control it. Unfortunately, during that initial period, Alex could not command it at all and could only let it devour everything crazily.
As the energy within him continuously increased, the Black Hole grew larger and larger, and Alex finally gained complete control over his body. By now, Alex could freely control the Black Hole’s size and gravitational pull. The Black Hole was Alex, and Alex was the Black Hole!
