Bleach: Boundary! Kid!
Quancheng.
"Have you noticed anything strange about Little Zhang’s family lately?"
In front of an ordinary apartment building, several middle-aged women watched a woman walk past them and could not help whispering among themselves.
"Exactly."
The woman seemed not to hear their discussion at all and merely quickened her pace as she returned home.
Taking out her keys and opening the door, she called into the house, "Honey, son, I’m home."
As her voice rang out, two male figures emerged from the room.
Strangely enough, though they were father and son, they looked almost the same age.
Yet the couple seemed not to notice anything amiss.
The plain-looking man with glasses smiled slightly. Watching his son hug his wife, he felt not the slightest discomfort. "You’re back? Dinner’s already ready."
The woman let out a breath and replied, "Got it. Let me wash my hands first."
Just then, a sudden buzzing sound rang out.
"Bzzzz~"
The man with the strangely seductive face curled his lips slightly, released his mother, and pulled a communication device from his pocket.
Seeing the caller displayed on the device, he casually snapped his fingers.
The couple instantly froze in place.
Answering the call, he asked rudely, "What is it this time, old man?"
An aged voice came through from the other end. "Pack up and return to North Capital. We’ve got a lead on that little thing’s whereabouts."
Hearing this, a trace of displeasure appeared on the man’s face. "Didn’t you tell me to wait for him in Quancheng? Why are you telling me to go back now?"
The old man replied unhurriedly, "Over the past two days, I received reports from my people. He recently used points to exchange for materials in cities around Jizhou Town."
"Now that I think about it, he’s probably hiding with his disciple brother. You won’t be able to wait for him in Quancheng."
"Return to North Capital as soon as possible. That’s all."
Staring at the communication device in his hand as it emitted a continuous busy tone, the man opened his mouth, unsure of what to say.
After a long while, he said resentfully, "Those old bastards sure know how to order people around."
With a helpless sigh, he turned to look at the couple, who were still frozen in place.
"Snap."
With the crisp snap of his fingers, the man and woman instantly regained consciousness, and the unbearable memories of the past few days flooded into their minds.
"Ah, I still have to thank you two for the past few days. I had quite a bit of fun."
At that moment, the man’s voice entered their ears.
Seeing the couple stiffly turn to look at him, he scratched his cheek. "But in your next life, remember not to be such good people. Don’t bring every homeless person you see into your home."
"As repayment, I’ll let you die quickly."
"And remember to be reborn into a good family, like me."
As his words fell, the two felt their bodies move uncontrollably toward the balcony.
Moments later, as two dull impacts sounded out, terrified screams spread throughout the entire residential complex.
After staying at Zhang Jingxing’s place for several days, Lu Su finally received a message in Loving Family.
Bai Yueming: I’m back. Sorry for making you worry.
Li Fuyu: It’s been a long time, Teacher. How are things specifically in Antarctica?
Bai Yueming: Not very good, but Adley, the Hall of Fame Card Master from India and America, is watching over the place now. Nothing should happen in the short term.
Li Fuyu: Teacher, you’ve worked hard.
After watching Third Disciple Brother and Teacher exchange messages for a while, Lu Su chose to send a private message.
Lu Su: Teacher, where should I go to find you now?
Bai Yueming: I’m in Nandu now. Just come find me directly.
Bai Yueming: Is this about Hall of Fame Ye?
Lu Su could not help but freeze. "Master Fang and Master Ji actually didn’t tell Teacher?"
He had originally thought that the two Master Card Masters would directly inform his teacher that he was a member of the Spirit Summoning Society.
But it seemed that was not the case.
Lu Su merely typed two words.
Lu Su: Not only that.
Bai Yueming: I’ll wait for you.
Seeing his teacher’s reply, he could not help but feel a headache coming on. "With Senior Disciple Sister there, nothing should go wrong, right?"
But whether he faced the blade head-on or shrank back from it, the result was the same. Dragging things out would do him no good.
After quickly composing himself, he greeted his Senior Disciple Brother and prepared to set off back to Nandu.
Seeing that Zhang Jingxing had not replied, Lu Su did not pay it much mind. The other party was probably busy with something else; otherwise, he would not have lacked even the time to reply in the group chat.
He then set out on his return journey. There was still some distance between Jizhou Town and Nandu.
Fortunately, he was in no great hurry, so he could sit in his chair and let the Ghost Shadow Soldiers carry him along at a leisurely pace.
Just as Lu Su was considering how to broach the matter with his teacher, an intense sense of danger suddenly struck him, making him feel as though he had fallen into an ice cellar.
"Blazing Sword Draw!"
Without the slightest hesitation, he instantly drew the Holy Sword from his belt.
Boom—
In the next moment, a terrifying ravine split open across the earth, and scattered dirt surged uncontrollably outward.
Lu Su, meanwhile, was sent flying like a cannonball.
After rolling across the ground for a long while, he finally stabilized himself. "Cough."
"Good thing I developed the same habit as General Duanmu."
Ever since the Holy Blade Belt had first been made, he had grown accustomed to wearing it at all times whenever he was outside a safe environment.
After all, the lesson left behind by a certain Emperor Armor user was still fresh in his mind.
"But that attack just now…"
"Diamond Grade?"
At the thought, Lu Su’s expression turned grave.
If Artoria had not advanced to Jade Grade, allowing him to transform into a knockoff Dragon Arthur, that attack alone would probably have been enough to kill him.
As he pondered this, figures had already gathered around him protectively.
Against an enemy starting at Diamond Grade, Lu Su had no intention of holding back any trump cards.
"Hm?" At that moment, a somewhat surprised voice sounded by his ear. "You actually didn’t die?"
As the voice fell, a young man slowly came into Lu Su’s view.
Sensing the aura emanating from the other man, Lu Su’s heart sank. If he had harbored any doubts before, they were now completely confirmed.
"He’s Diamond Grade."
Seeing that the other party did not seem in any hurry to attack, he asked, "I have no acquaintance with you, sir. Why are you trying to kill me?"
Lu Su knew that the man was undoubtedly an assassin sent by the Imperial Court.
He only asked to stall for a little time. An attack by a Diamond Grade powerhouse would cause no small disturbance, and the nearby cities would certainly notice.
Hearing his question, the man could not help scratching his head. "Though I’d like to say I’m from the Demon Army or the Spirit Summoning Society…"
"I think you already know who sent me, don’t you?"
"My name is Sheng Hanzu. You can call me Azu."
"And one more thing."
"Goodbye."
As Sheng Hanzu’s words fell, a jet-black beam far more powerful than the previous attack suddenly shot toward Lu Su.
But this time, Lu Su was not completely unprepared.
The brown-haired man, his face cold and expressionless, stepped forward and stood before him. "Kido #81: Danku."
A transparent barrier materialized out of thin air before the attack.
Crack—
A crisp shattering sound rang out. Danku vanished after blocking the attack for only an instant.
After all, it was merely the product of a quick chant; using it to withstand a Diamond Grade attack was unrealistic.
But it was enough. Lu Su had already relocated to a safe area.
At the same time, two terrifying Spirit Pressures surged skyward. In an instant, Ulquiorra and Nylro completed their Resurrección.
The next moment, one black and one green figure appeared beside Sheng Hanzu, while an enormous pale palace manifested behind them.
Faced with their assault, Sheng Hanzu naturally could not simply await capture. But just as he was about to summon a new card, he fell into confusion.
At that moment, Lu Su also learned whether Nothingness could affect a Diamond Grade existence.
The answer was yes.
But the confusion came quickly and faded even faster.
Ultimately, Nothingness was still an influence exerted through Jade Grade Las Noches. It could not continuously increase its own strength through the stacking of countless Traits as Ulquiorra could.
Feeling the howling gale lash painfully against his face, Sheng Hanzu’s expression remained unchanged. Then, a brand-new figure appeared at his side.
Sizzle—!
Scorching lightning surged wildly in every direction, its terrifying heat carving deep crimson scars across the earth. The air was instantly filled with the strange odor of ionization.
"Thunder God?" Lu Su frowned slightly at the sight. He sensed a trace of divinity from the newly summoned card. "I just don’t know which mythology it came from."
Looking at the opponent’s bronze head, he sighed inwardly.
Yet Ulquiorra and Nylro suffered little damage from the Diamond Grade card’s counterattack.
Seeing this, Sheng Hanzu raised his brow. "That’s quite surprising."
"You’ve hidden quite a lot."
As he spoke, his gaze swept over Aizen and Tsugikuni Yoriichi.
Together with that unknown Field Card from before, the man opposite him had three more cards than the intelligence reports had indicated.
And judging by the auras he could sense so far, none of them were of low quality.
Especially the two cards that had just attacked him.
Resurrección + King of Perfection + No.3/No.4 + Lord of Hueco Mundo + King + Soul Reaper and Hollow.
These were the Traits currently stacked upon Ulquiorra and Nylro.
Under layer upon layer of effects, their strength had already soared to an utterly terrifying level.
"They’re even all cards from the same series. This guy really is troublesome."
Looking at Unohana Retsu and Tsugikuni Yoriichi in their haori, then recalling the nearly identical white uniforms worn by Ulquiorra, Nylro, and Aizen, Sheng Hanzu grew somewhat wary.
"So that’s why they told me to be careful."
Though he had become vigilant, he continued aloud, "Those old fools probably never expected you to have hidden yourself this deeply. Otherwise, they would’ve released me long ago."
In this situation, the opponent could barely be regarded as a Diamond Grade Card Master.
No wonder the Jade Grade card masters sent before had been so utterly outmatched. It would’ve been strange if they could win.
"Since that’s the case, I won’t hold back either."
The moment he finished speaking, two figures appeared beside him.
Though he had become wary, he would not reveal it so easily. That would only make the other party resist more fiercely.
Lu Su’s expression turned solemn. "Four Diamond Grade cards?"
"But it’s not like there’s no chance."
With that thought, he hesitated no longer.
As the phantom of a massive circular building flashed behind Tsugikuni Yoriichi, the swordsman in the haori suddenly saw his aura surge dramatically.
After the events in Jeju City, the souls stored within Soul’s Sanctuary had long since been replenished.
Feeling the power within him, Tsugikuni Yoriichi let out a soft breath, then drew the Zanpakuto at his waist.
"Bankai, Burning Prison Crimson Lotus Amaterasu."
Terrifying Spirit Pressure roared as crimson flames streaked with golden yellow erupted, swallowing everything in an instant.
Just as its name implied, the flames of the crimson lotus burned away sin, while Amaterasu’s sigh descended here.
Facing the oncoming blaze, Sheng Hanzu’s expression remained unchanged, while one of the cards beside him began to emit a pure white radiance.
Everything around them seemed to melt away like ice and snow, gradually dissolving into the air.
Moments later, a massive golden-red sun wheel floated behind Tsugikuni Yoriichi, while he gripped a long blade formed entirely from flames.
At this sight, Sheng Hanzu, who had remained so composed all along, saw his pupils contract. "Just the aftershock?"
"And the sun? Death?"
"What kind of bizarre build is this?!"
As a Diamond Grade Card Master, he could naturally make out the aura the other side was giving off.
More importantly, after changing forms, that card’s strength had suddenly soared to the average Diamond Grade level.
The combat power in the field had now gradually reached a balance. With the strange methods of that young man in the distance, Sheng Hanzu felt the advantage he held as a Diamond Grade Card Master slowly slipping away.
Before coming here, he had thought he could crush the other party as easily as an ant.
And the root of the problem lay in those cards capable of changing forms.
At that thought, Sheng Hanzu glanced at Aizen and Unohana Retsu. "I wonder what those two can do."
Since they were cards from the same series, those two cards could certainly be released as well.
After a moment of silence, he could not help asking, "Which mythology are you from?"
"How come I’ve never seen it before?"
However, upon hearing his question, Lu Su grinned. "Bleach Realm! Kid!"
"Bleach Realm?"
Hearing that, Sheng Hanzu could not help repeating the somewhat strange name in his heart.
To be frank, aside from playing bloody adult versions of house and looking through mythological texts, he had no other hobbies these past years.
Yet no matter how thoroughly he searched his mind, he could not match any mythological system he remembered to the name the youth in the distance had mentioned.
His expression darkened. "If you don’t want to tell me, then don’t. There’s no need to fool me."
Though Custom Cards were a possibility, he did not believe everything before him was something a Custom Card could achieve.
"Forget it."
"Why waste my breath on a dead man?"
Although the situation had vaguely begun to slip beyond Sheng Hanzu’s control, he did not think he would lose.
"I’m not one of those Jade Grade trash!"
