Blood-colored Armor

Elektra had experienced two unimaginable agonies. The first was when Wang Bert injected her with a Gene Potion, turning her into a half-dragon. The second was when Wang Bert injected her with a Gladiator Potion, allowing her to break through to the god level.

Although Elektra had endured both agonies, the pain of every cell in her body being torn apart had left her with a deep-seated fear.

At this moment, drawn by the Fear Hammer, that fear erupted. Elektra could not help shuddering. Though she quickly calmed herself, the Fear Hammer had already flown into her hand, gripped tightly in her palm.

Immediately afterward, violent fear energy surged into Elektra’s body, trying to turn her into the next Worthy.

That was the most terrifying thing about the Worthy. As long as the hammers remained intact, the Worthy would be endless.

Seeing Elektra holding the hammer and standing there foolishly, Coulson was alarmed and hurriedly ordered Daredevil, "Get the hammer away from Elektra, now."

"Understood."

Daredevil immediately drove his Power Armor toward Elektra—he was blind and could not see data, so he had not been equipped with a suit of armor.

Just as Daredevil was about to attack Elektra, she suddenly threw the hammer onto the ground as if it were trash. She sneered, "What kind of junk is this? You think you can control me? Do you think I’m Tony Stark, some professional who gets controlled all the time?"

Having endured two bouts of extreme agony, Elektra’s will was already as tough as Vibranium. Combined with her own strength and traits, the Fear Hammer simply could not control her.

What trait? The stronger her confidence, the stronger her power! The Fear Hammer shook on the ground and flew toward Daredevil beside it. At that moment, a seven-colored light descended and brought it back to the isolation area aboard the Space Station.

The isolation area was made of Vibranium and reinforced with a spatial Defense Shield. Even the Fear Hammer could not escape. After all, it was only a hammer. Without a master wielding it, it could not unleash its true power.

"You clean up here. I’ll deal with the other Worthy."

Elektra said a word to Daredevil, then used God’s Cloak to teleport to a city in Australia.

In the city, a kangaroo was gleefully wreaking havoc. It raised its hammer and smashed it hard into the ground. The earth shattered, buildings above collapsed with crashing sounds, and dust shot into the sky—a spectacular sight.

"A kangaroo?"

Elektra was somewhat speechless. Her figure vanished directly, and when she reappeared, she was already behind the kangaroo.

The kangaroo had powerful instincts. The instant Elektra appeared, it spun around and swung its hammer at her. Elektra blocked it with her dagger. With a bang, a Shockwave erupted from the point of collision and swept through the surrounding area.

Before the kangaroo could do anything else, Elektra opened her mouth and breathed out a blast of frost. Starting from its head, the kangaroo rapidly froze over.

The Fear Hammer in the kangaroo’s hand lit up with a dazzling red glow, trying to shatter the ice. Seeing this, Elektra slashed her dagger at the kangaroo’s arm.

Just as the kangaroo’s arm was about to be severed, a hammer came smashing in from the side, sending Elektra flying.

Elektra flipped through the air and came to a stop. Looking around, she found four more Worthy nearby. Then, together with the kangaroo that had broken free of the ice, the four Worthy surrounded Elektra.

"You even know how to use tactics. Looks like there’s someone else behind you."

Elektra snorted. Seeing this scene in S.W.O.R.D., Coulson’s expression turned somewhat grim. The God of Fear, Great Serpent, was fighting Odin, so he should not have been the one commanding them. That meant there was another Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator.

If they had guessed right, the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator’s target should have been Earth.

After thinking for a moment, Elektra flew toward the outskirts while contacting Coulson. "Coulson, these five can teleport. You’ll have to deal with the last Worthy yourselves."

Seeing Elektra flee, the five Worthy immediately chased after her menacingly.

Coulson gritted his teeth and said, "We’ll take care of that Worthy. Focus on dealing with those five."

"Alright."

Elektra nodded and stopped by the sea, preparing to deal with the five Worthy.

"Die!"

Seeing Elektra stop, the five Worthy did not waste words. They simultaneously raised their Fear Hammers, and five enormous red beams shot toward Elektra at once.

Elektra snorted and crossed space to appear behind the kangaroo, stabbing her dagger straight at its head.

The kangaroo turned and smashed its hammer at Elektra. Elektra blocked the hammer with her dagger, then her eyes turned red as two Heat Rays blasted toward the kangaroo’s head, sending it flying backward with a scream.

Elektra was about to pursue it when four red beams blasted toward her. She smiled disdainfully, teleported behind the kangaroo, and turned her dagger into a black line that sliced the kangaroo in two.

The kangaroo died on the spot. Just as Elektra was about to knock away the hammer, the other four attacked. She could only teleport away first.

The instant Elektra left, the Fear Hammer flew toward a nearby fishing village. Moments later, a new Worthy returned to the battlefield with the hammer in hand.

"That works too?"

Elektra was somewhat speechless. She turned into Black Light and flew toward the sea. Unexpectedly, the five Worthy did not pursue her. Instead, they all turned and flew toward a nearby city.

Elektra cursed and had no choice but to teleport back and fight the Worthy again.

While fighting, Elektra shouted through her communicator, "Susan, the moment I kill a Worthy, teleport the hammer away immediately."

Susan did not answer at once. A moment later, she said urgently, "Elektra, I can’t. The Space Station is under attack. I can’t control the Bifrost for the time being."

Elektra was stunned. "The Space Station is under attack?"

"Yes. You’d never guess who’s attacking me."

Susan said, "It’s the Inhumans—the Inhumans from the Moon Inhuman Kingdom. They’re bombarding the Space Station with a spacecraft. Fortunately, the Space Station’s defenses are strong enough to hold."

Elektra frowned. "The Inhumans must be under the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator’s control."

"I know. That’s the most troublesome part. I don’t dare strike too hard. For now, I can only defend passively."

Susan gave a bitter smile. "Elektra, finish the battle on Earth as soon as possible. I need your help."

If they were enemies, Susan could forcefully use the Bifrost to blast them to death. But they were allies. Even Queen Medusa was aboard that spacecraft. How could she strike ruthlessly? "That Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator is truly despicable."

Elektra cursed, then looked at the five Worthy continuously attacking her and sighed. "I’ll hurry."

Killing five Worthy was not difficult for Elektra. She could handle it in half an hour. The problem was that there was a large crowd of potential Worthy nearby, impossible to kill them all.

It was not that Elektra had not considered killing everyone in the fishing village. As an emotionless assassin, she would not be softhearted. The problem was that it would be meaningless, because the hammers would simply go elsewhere to find people.

Not to mention distant places—just that previous city had hundreds of thousands of people. Elektra could not possibly wipe them all out, could she? As for finding the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator and taking them out directly, it was not that Elektra did not want to. She simply could not—she could not find any trace of them.

"The key is those five hammers."

Elektra’s eyes flashed as she began a fierce battle with the five Worthy.

At the same time, Coulson said to the representatives of the various countries, "That’s the situation. We have to deal with the last Worthy ourselves. I hope everyone will send out your strongest hidden experts and join forces to eliminate the Worthy."

"That’s not a problem."

The America representative said, "The problem is, does the Blood God really not have any other Trump Cards?"

Everyone looked at the America representative in surprise. Was this guy trying to take advantage of the situation to do something? "Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not that suicidal."

The America representative waved his hands repeatedly. "Without the Blood God, I feel very insecure. If the Blood God truly has no more cards to play, I’ll advise the president to hide in an underground shelter."

The representatives all nodded in agreement—without the Blood God protecting them, they truly felt unsafe.

"Probably not. The Blood God’s main body is dealing with Creator God Galactus. The Blood God’s subordinates and disciples are dealing with the insect disaster, while the Blood God’s avatar is dealing with demon gods."

Coulson smiled bitterly. "With so many forces attacking at once, even the Blood God can’t be everywhere at once."

"What a mess."

The representatives all sighed. At that moment, the America representative asked, "Sending people isn’t a problem, but how do we get there? Flying would take too long."

"A portal. The Blood God left a portal in S.W.O.R.D."

Coulson said, "It’s a treasure, not something limited by the Blood God’s rules, but it can only transport a small number of people."

"Alright, then send the troops."

The representatives nodded. They had their leaders hide in safe places while dispatching their strongest hidden experts to prepare to deal with the Worthy.

Earth was full of outstanding people, and every country had quite a few experts. At the very least, nearly every nation had an Inhumans squad.

S.W.O.R.D. also deployed one of its Trump Cards: the War Lizard purchased from the America military. After buying it, they had Lizard Doctor specially modify it. It was one of S.W.O.R.D.’s Trump Cards.

I hope everything goes smoothly.

Coulson secretly sighed. He had grown accustomed to the Blood God’s protection, and suddenly losing it made him feel genuinely uneasy.

But had the Blood God truly used up all his cards? Of course not. Earth was Wang Bert’s home ground. How could he possibly fail to prepare sufficient measures?

Beneath Manhattan, a set of Blood-colored Armor watched everything coldly. It had not acted because it was waiting—waiting for the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator to enter Earth.

That Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator was not currently on Earth. That was why Elektra had not discovered any trace of them. As for the Worthy’s Teleportation, that was the Fear Hammer’s ability—it could teleport near other hammers.

The moment the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator appeared, regardless of who they were, the Blood-colored Armor would immediately eliminate them. This armor was far from ordinary. With it here, Earth would absolutely remain safe.

Besides, Bald Wang Bert could return to Earth at any time.

The last Worthy was in a city in the island nation. He was a gigantic Sumo Wrestler, and in a short time, he had already destroyed more than ten streets.

Looking at the corpses strewn throughout the ruins, the Worthy wore an excited expression. This was what he wanted—the power to destroy everything.

In the past, the Sumo Wrestler had done fairly well. But after large numbers of superpowered people emerged, sumo wrestlers had gradually been marginalized. The reason was simple: they could not defeat those ability users.

Who wanted to watch a Sumo Wrestler get kicked away with one blow? This Sumo Wrestler had always carried a fire in his heart, and the Fear Hammer had caused that fire to erupt completely. He wanted to prove to the world how formidable sumo wrestlers were.

How would he prove it? Naturally, by destroying cities and destroying Earth! "I am the invincible king!"

The Worthy stomped hard, splitting the ground with an enormous fissure. The buildings ahead toppled sideways with thunderous crashes. The civilians screamed in terror and fled the area as quickly as possible.

The Worthy laughed loudly, exhilarated beyond words. At that moment, a portal appeared, and a squad of America Inhumans and superpowered people emerged before the Worthy.

"Wow, you’re way too fat, aren’t you?"

An Inhuman exclaimed, then rushed in front of the Worthy at top speed and stared directly into his eyes.

The moment the Worthy’s eyes met the Inhuman’s, his body immediately went numb, and he could not move. This was the Inhuman’s ability: Paralyzing Eye.

"This is easy. How is it as dangerous as the higher-ups said? If you ask me, those Super Heroes are just too weak. If I’d known, I never would have joined the secret unit back then…"

The Inhuman turned to speak disdainfully to the others. At that moment, his companions all cried out in alarm, "Watch out…"

The Inhuman abruptly turned back and saw a hammer growing larger and larger before crashing down on him with a boom, spraying dust and flesh everywhere.

The Paralyzing Eye had immobilized the Worthy… for one second. That’s right, only one second. The Worthy was, after all, at the god level.

It was impossible for just any Inhuman to defeat a God-Devil Level being. God-Devil Level beings were not so cheap.

The America representative questioned the colonel of the secret unit unhappily, "This is the elite force you trained for years?"

The colonel was quite embarrassed. "They’ve had too few opportunities for actual combat. Most of Earth’s troubles have been handled by the Blood God and the Super Heroes."

The America representative snorted and turned his attention back to the screen.

"I’ll kill you!"

Seeing their companion die miserably, the Inhumans and superpowered people immediately saw red. They roared and unleashed their abilities. Fireballs, ice spikes, wind blades, shadow strikes, and other attacks shot toward the Worthy one after another.

Red light flared all over the Worthy’s body, easily blocking every attack. Then he swung his hammer with all his strength, each swing taking the life of a superpowered person.

The battle was completely one-sided. The America representative’s face turned utterly black, while the colonel sweated profusely, making people wonder whether he might die of dehydration.

Fortunately, experts, armor suits, and Power Armor from other countries arrived at that moment. Though they were far weaker than the Worthy, they had great numbers and barely managed to engage him in battle.

However, they would not last long, because the Worthy’s destructive power was too great. Anyone struck by him would be severely wounded if not killed outright.

"We’ve prepared for so long, and in the end, we can’t even beat one hammer?"

The representatives of the various countries looked extremely grim, as though all their development over the years had gone to waste.

Compared to the Blood God and those Super Heroes, the hidden strength of the various countries was far too weak. Earth really still needed the Blood God to protect it.

At that moment, a massive figure wearing Heavy Armor appeared on the battlefield. It was the War Lizard—Kingpin, once the underground emperor of New York.

Kingpin was also a huge man, but unlike the Worthy, his entire body was muscle. He roared as his muscles and armor exerted force together, swinging the massive hammer in his hands, over two meters tall, toward the Worthy amid a violent blast of air.
