Breach of treaty

"I've already given you time to escape. Since you haven't left, it proves you are in league with the Pill Alliance. If that's the case, you can only blame your own bad luck," Qin Ming shouted loudly, Spiritual Qi gathering in his hands as his Aura surged.

The Martial Artists within Pill City trembled with fear as they looked at Qin Ming in the sky. They had remained here for two main reasons. First, they believed the Pill Alliance would not allow Qin Ming to massacre the city.

The second reason was their belief that Qin Ming wouldn't dare to start a slaughter. However, looking at the situation, if the Pill Alliance's Martial Venerables didn't act soon, Qin Ming truly was going to massacre the city.

"Hmph…" Seeing that the enemies hiding in the Shadows still hadn't appeared, Qin Ming gave a cold snort and blasted a strike toward Pill City.

Immediately, a massive fist of Spiritual Qi flew toward Pill City. This punch contained the Power of Heaven and Earth; even a Martial Emperor would surely die upon contact.

Seeing the Spiritual Qi fist getting closer and closer to Pill City, the residents finally panicked. They screamed and ran toward the city gates; instantly, the streets were packed with people, and deaths from trampling occurred everywhere.

"Qin Ming, how dare you!" Just then, a roar came from the distance, and an old man flew up. The old man had red eyebrows—who else could it be but the Pill Alliance's Old Ancestor, Hong Mei?

He arrived opposite Qin Ming, standing tall in the Void Realm, and questioned: "Qin Ming, you are lawless! Attacking Ordinary Martial Artists violates the Martial Venerable Treaty."

"Hypocrisy. Violating a treaty? Did I sign any treaty? I am a newly ascended Martial Venerable, and it seems no one told me about any treaty. Besides, haven't you been watching from a distance this whole time? Why did you only come out once I actually attacked?" Qin Ming shrugged and spread his hands, acting as if he had never heard of any treaty.

"You…" Hong Mei's face flushed red. Could Qin Ming really not know about the treaty? He was the Huayu Sect's Sect Master, and Shadow was currently the most powerful intelligence force in the entire Great Xia Dynasty; how could he not know such information?

"Didn't you just want me to strike first and kill your people so you could appear as the champion of righteousness? What's the point of putting on an act?" When Qin Ming spoke, he infused his words with Spiritual Qi, and his voice instantly spread throughout Pill City.

"What? The Venerable wasn't delayed by business, but was watching from the sidelines the whole time? Watching us be slaughtered?"

"My son! You died for nothing!"

"The Venerable isn't that kind of person. It's just that Qin Ming is too brutal. Don't believe his words!"

"…"

The red-browed old man's face turned livid with rage. He struggled to calm himself down, then gave a cold smile and said, "Qin Ming, no matter how sharp your tongue is, you will lose your life here today. Activate the Formation!"

In an instant, several beams of light rose up, actually enveloping the entire Pill City.

Clearly, this Formation was not set up on the fly, but had been prepared long ago.

Upon seeing the Formation, Qin Ming's expression changed drastically. Sweat dripped from his forehead as his hand trembled while pointing at the red-browed old man. He struggled to maintain a shocked expression and said, "You… how did you know I was going to attack Pill City today?"

"Haha… Qin Ming, you didn't expect this, did you? We knew long ago that you would attack Pill City today and have already set everything up, just waiting for you to walk in. Now, let's see how you escape." The red-browed old man said confidently. This Formation was an Eighth-Grade Formation, and he had spent a fortune to set it up.

The purpose was to trap Qin Ming here today. He had originally been somewhat worried that Qin Ming would discover the Formation, but he hadn't expected that Qin Ming was ultimately too young and inexperienced. He had been trapped so easily, saving a lot of trouble.
