Bullseye Log: Final Chapter (Please Support)

Countless fragments burst forth like meteors. Terrifying lightning pierced straight through the ground, forcibly tearing open a passage that led directly to the fifth underground level.

The gale howled, whipping rainwater into lashes that struck the ground viciously. Buildings let out low groans of grief, and the entire world was shrouded beneath a blurred curtain of rain.

"Caw—caw—caw—!"

Above the ruins, a black crow circled through the torrential rain, crying out.

Its gaze remained fixed on the massive crater torn open by the lightning below, its eyes filled with an almost human joy and satisfaction.

Lightning raged, its blinding radiance making it impossible to open one’s eyes. Every technological creation crumbled apart in that instant, and the entire Hydra underground fortress was engulfed by lightning.

Countless wandering bolts rapidly converged, forming a massive brilliance as dazzling as the blazing sun. At the very center of that light, a decayed, battered hammer shone brightly, radiating terrifying destructive energy.

".My God."

Ashley, who had been thrown away, barely managed to steady herself in a corner with Venom’s help. Her entire body was numb, and searing pain surged through her from head to toe, almost unbearable.

"What the hell happened!?"

Venom forcibly extended its viscous body, helping Ashley brace herself behind cover so she would not be caught in the wild lightning. It itself curled into a ball, trembling in fear. "The gods have turned their gaze upon us. Thor’s power has found an heir."

But Ashley no longer cared about Venom’s explanation. She leaned out and stared wide-eyed toward the center of the lightning, where Black Canary had been.

Clang, clang—

Amid the sounds of metal colliding, metal scales materialized from the lightning one after another, continuously assembling around Black Canary’s body into a magnificent suit of armor.

A silver face-covering helmet slowly descended onto Black Canary’s head. Two sharp wings rose from its crown, gleaming with cold light charged with divinity.

Within that radiance, a gradually solidifying, imposing silhouette slowly took shape. A terrifying pressure that made it hard to breathe erupted instantly and spread at incredible speed, sweeping away everything around it.

Guided by that power, the long-dead Black Canary slowly rose into the air. She slightly lifted an arm, and the battered hammer seemed to hear her summons, transforming into lightning and appearing in her palm in the blink of an eye.

At the instant the hammer’s authority touched her hand—

Thor had returned!

Black Canary suddenly opened her eyes. Golden light burst from them, too dazzling to look upon directly.

Even fiercer lightning exploded. All the steel began to twist beneath the immense force, the earth cracked open, and the entire sky erupted with deafening thunder. The blinding light illuminated the dark New Babylon as bright as day.

Torrential rain poured down, lightning flashed, and thunder roared. Heaven and earth themselves seemed to be celebrating, using this magnificent and breathtaking spectacle to welcome the birth of a new Thor.

Countless memories and streams of information flooded into Black Canary’s mind. In that instant, she seemed to see the Norse gods nodding and smiling at her. The magnificent power passed down through Odin’s bloodline descended upon her, completely transforming her presence.

If Black Canary before had been alluring, making people want to approach and conquer her, then the Black Canary now radiated an aura that inspired instinctive reverence.

Feeling the immense power within her body and the lightning swirling around her as though it had finally found where it belonged, Black Canary could not help but smile.

Nearly every faction in New Babylon witnessed this unparalleled scene. None of them had any desire to keep fighting now. This terrifying sight would become something they never forgot for the rest of their lives.

Beyond them, the residents of Falls Hammer Town could no longer contain their emotions. The sight of Mjolnir flashing with lightning and rapidly soaring into the distance caused an enormous uproar.

People screamed as they rushed from their homes, gathering where Mjolnir had originally rested. But by the time they arrived, Mjolnir had already flown away, leaving behind only a crater to prove it had once been there.

"Did… did you see that?!"

"God, our prayers worked!"

"Father of the gods Odin above, Thor has descended!"

"The gods answered our prayers!"

Across the square, cries of astonishment spread until they finally erupted into frenzied cheers.

The giant screen in New Times Square collapsed amid the thunder. In the final instant before the transmission ended, almost everyone saw that scene of commanding wind and rain.

Zhang Ye strode out of the wine cellar, his boots stepping into pooled water. But he did not care. The torrential rain seemed to avoid him as it howled past, while his gaze remained fixed on where the lightning was gathering.

Behind Zhang Ye, the others followed him out. Seeing the scene that resembled divine punishment, they were all too shocked to speak.

"Good heavens, this can’t be real, can it?" Old Punisher Frank stared wide-eyed. Even his expressionless face twitched. "That’s Thor’s lightning. I’d never forget it!"

"Damn it, I can’t see a thing." Old Barton sounded annoyed, but he was also the one smiling the widest.

Nothing could make him happier than seeing an old friend’s relic find a successor. Barton even laughed until tears streamed down his face. Though all he saw was darkness, he saw more than anyone else.

Kara came to Zhang Ye’s side and stood shoulder to shoulder with him. Looking at the black clouds pressing down overhead, even she felt an overwhelming surge of emotion from the depths of her heart. "So this was the possibility you were waiting for."

"Yeah."

Zhang Ye nodded, a delighted smile appearing on his face. His gaze was deep and distant, as if he could see through reality itself.

"There are almost no people in this world who can earn Mjolnir’s recognition. We are no exception. But what if it’s a true hero?"

A hero worthy of Green Lantern’s ring had no reason to be unable to wield the legendary Mjolnir!

"You foresaw this?" Punisher Frank could not help asking. Songbird and Barton both perked up their ears.

"I still can’t comprehend the mysteries of the entire timeline. Fortunately, though, I have an eye specifically meant to observe ‘major events.’ In a world ruled by supervillains for so long that it had become filled with despair, the legendary Thor was born."

Zhang Ye merely shook his head slowly and asked with a soft laugh.

"Does that count as a ‘major event’?"

Among the underground fortress ruins, Black Canary curiously examined the armor on her body. It was her first time wearing equipment so filled with divinity, and she suddenly had the urge to show it off to Wonder Woman.

"Th-that’s the legendary Thor? The busted hammer three streets from my house!?"

Ashley’s mouth fell open, unable to hide the envy in her eyes. If she had known becoming a hero could give her such powerful combat ability, why the hell had she kept hanging around the underworld?

Dad must not have taught her right. Yeah, that had to be it!

"Ashley, are you all right?" Black Canary quickly came to her senses. She looked around, searching for Ashley.

"I’m fine," Ashley replied. "Your lightning sure packs a punch."

"I really can’t ever work with this woman again," Venom weakly added from beside her.

High-pitched sound was barely tolerable for a little while, but now there was heat and deafening noise too.

Team up?

Heh, not a chance.

"You can still talk trash, so you must be fine."

Black Canary smiled as well. Though she did not know why she had inherited Asgard’s legacy and become the new Thor, she had no intention of refusing such an honor.

After all, there was still a world that needed her to save it with her own hands!

At that moment, a sound suddenly came from the distant ruins. It instantly drew Black Canary and Ashley’s attention, and both turned toward the rubble with uncertain expressions.

A massive chunk of stone slowly rose, then was overturned with a dull crash. In the dim surroundings, a tall, thin figure shakily stood up.

".This… this is… real combat."

Bullseye opened his mouth, blood constantly spilling from it and mixing with the rain.

Bullseye no longer looked anything like his former valiant self. His entire mechanical arm had been ripped off and left forever beneath the rocks of the ruins. He was in terrible condition, his body battered like a scrapped robot.

"Oh, f***, why aren’t you dead yet, you old f***!" Ashley, whose mouth was as sweet as honey, was the first to offer her opinion.

But her words drew no reaction from Bullseye. His gaze remained steadily fixed on Black Canary, as always.

He swayed as he bent down, using his only remaining arm to pick up Namor’s Trident.

"True… true… combat…"

Aiming at Black Canary, who stood atop the ruins like a god descending to earth, Bullseye muttered indistinctly to himself before taking a step forward and beginning to climb upward, one step at a time.

"Stand down, Bullseye. This is your final warning."

Black Canary’s expression turned cold. She raised Mjolnir and pointed it directly at Bullseye.

"This is my beautiful moment! My battle!"

Bullseye’s crazed voice grew louder and louder until he finally roared and charged at Black Canary.

Seeing Bullseye’s reckless charge, Black Canary no longer had any intention of speaking with him. She knew there was no saving these relics of the past.

Bullseye screamed as he rushed before Black Canary and raised the trident.

"This is my—"

In the next instant, a bolt of lightning as thick as an arm erupted, piercing straight through his chest and blasting his entire body away.

The mad smile froze on Bullseye’s face.

"—gloryyyyyy—"
