Catching colorful rats

Having calmed down, Qin Ming began to think about the correct way to navigate the maze.

"This maze is likely meant to test a Disciple's observational skills. If one could memorize all these dozen or so forks, it is very likely they could find the way out.

However, going out this way is too time-consuming. Who knows if there are more forks after walking through these dozen or so? I cannot afford to waste time here."

"Although my Formation Rank is not high, I know that there are only three types of Formations: Trapping Formation, attack Formations, and Defense Formation.

This Formation has no attack capability, nor does it have any defensive capability, so it must be a pure Trapping Formation.

And a Trapping Formation must have a way out; besides stumbling into it by accident, the other way is to destroy the Trapping Formation."

"But how should I destroy it? I haven't encountered a single person in this valley so far, so one can imagine how huge this valley is. If I have to search for the formation base bit by bit and then destroy it, it would probably take thousands of years."

Qin Ming was distressed; not wanting to waste time looking for a path, yet unable to find the formation base of the Formation, he began to feel irritated again.

"Right, the Ban Lan Rat." A flash of inspiration crossed Qin Ming's mind. "I haven't been in this valley for long, which is why I can't find the formation base. The Ban Lan Rat has been in this valley for who knows how long; it must know."

A Martial King Rank Magical Beast already possesses basic intelligence, and an Emperor-Rank Magical Beast has intelligence comparable to humans.

Although the Ban Lan Rat's combat power is trash among King-rank Magical Beasts, it is still a genuine Martial King Rank Magical Beast and will surely be able to lead him to the formation base.

Furthermore, Qin Ming could also have it lead him to find spirit plants. He had not forgotten that he still needed a ninth-grade spirit plant, the 'healing grass'. Since there are treasure chests and Secret Realm keys here, there must be a barrier, and there must be a ninth-grade spirit plant.

"Ban Lan Rat." Qin Ming stood up and looked around in all directions, but there wasn't even a shadow.

Since Qin Ming chased after that Ban Lan Rat, he had never seen a Ban Lan Rat again. It was as if these Ban Lan Rats knew his strength and had all gone into hiding.

"What should I do? It's easy for the Ban Lan Rat to find me, but it's not easy for me to find the Ban Lan Rat." Qin Ming rubbed his head in frustration. The bones of the Ban Lan Rat were very soft, allowing it to shrink to just the size of a palm. If it hid in any random spot, Qin Ming would never be able to find it.

"Right, the Ban Lan Rat that hid in the hole." Qin Ming slapped his forehead and walked quickly towards the Ban Lan Rat's hole. He had not forgotten the Ban Lan Rat that had dodged his punch.

Soon, Qin Ming found that rat hole.

"Besides liking to eat meat, Ban Lan Rats also like to eat spirit plants, and the higher the Rank of the spirit plant, the more they like it." Thinking of this, Qin Ming took out a spirit plant from his space ring and placed it near the hole.

He knew that the Ban Lan Rat's nose was very sensitive. By placing it near the entrance, this Ban Lan Rat would definitely be able to smell it.

After placing the spirit plant, Qin Ming hid behind a rock and activated his Heaven-Rank Spirit Skill, hiding his entire aura completely.

In his previous life, his Martial Dao Foundation was damaged, so he couldn't Cultivate offensive Heaven-Rank Spirit Skills to a high level. However, for the High Grade Heaven-Rank Spirit Skill 《Hidden Dragon Art》, which conceals one's own aura, he had cultivated it very diligently and finally reached Major Achievement.

Now, Qin Ming activated the High Grade Heaven-Rank Spirit Skill 《Hidden Dragon Art》 with all his might. His entire aura fused with the rock in front of him, leaving no trace of Qi. If one were to close their eyes and rely solely on aura sensing, they would be completely unable to detect Qin Ming's presence.
