Ceasefire

Facing Knull’s attack, Tony and Ivan showed no fear. With a thought from Tony, a mountain fell from the sky and slammed viciously onto Knull.

Knull roared and flung the mountain away. At that moment, countless lightning spheres came crashing down, blasting Knull into repeated screams.

Knull had previously been badly wounded by that violent woman Jessica. He was no match for Tony and Ivan now. Before long, the two of them would completely suppress him.

On the Frontlines, Jessica had just opened her eyes when she saw dense swarms of black swords shooting toward her. She did not dare delay. She immediately shielded Tony and Ivan behind her, then swung both fists repeatedly. The void shook without end, and all the black swords were crushed by spatial shockwaves.

"Useless, Senior Sister Jessica. You’re far too weak. You’re no match for me at all."

Hela smiled disdainfully and gave the Night Sky Sword an utterly unremarkable slash through the air. "Death Slash!"

Jessica’s soul nearly left her body, yet she had no idea how to defend herself—she was far weaker than Skye. At the boundary between life and death, Skye could see Death Lines, but Jessica could see nothing.

Although Jessica had become Wang Bert’s disciple long ago, she had never had much fighting spirit. She only liked drinking, so her martial training had always been poor.

That was also why Wang Bert had kicked Jessica into space. After arriving there and becoming a female pirate, Jessica had bucked up somewhat, but most of the time she was still fighting and drinking. She was not diligent in training at all. As long as it was enough, that was fine with her.

As a result, Jessica was sorely lacking, both in strength and temperament.

Besides, without enough accumulation, there could naturally be no eruption. Reality was not a novel. Skye and Carol could erupt because they had sufficient foundations. Jessica had no foundation. Her belly was full of alcohol.

"Damn, that’s brutal."

Jessica could not see it, but someone could: Dracula. He clearly saw a Death Sword cutting directly toward Jessica’s Death Line.

Dracula did not dare hesitate. He immediately swapped his Death Line with Jessica’s.

"Hm?"

Hela sensed that something was wrong. The Death Sword trembled, severing Dracula’s Death Line while also shaking Jessica’s Death Line.

"Is this my fate?"

Dracula let out a long sigh, and his entire body disintegrated into ashes. At the same time, Jessica screamed and continuously vomited blood.

"How embarrassing." Lilith almost wanted to cover her face. Having a father like that really was a blessing earned over eight lifetimes.

"Jessica!"

The others looked at Jessica with concern. Little Hela prepared to attack the spatial barrier again. Steve hesitated, then did not stop her this time.

Jessica wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and said with a ferocious expression, "Junior Sister, you really are impressive."

"It’s not that I’m impressive. It’s that you’re too weak, Senior Sister Jessica. Becoming Master’s disciple is an opportunity countless people dream of, yet not only did you fail to cherish it, you got drunk every day and squandered that opportunity. If you don’t die, who will?"

Hela spoke with disdain. She looked down on Jessica greatly. If Jessica had trained seriously, her strength would have been at least several times what it was now.

Jessica gritted her teeth. "I’ll definitely return those words to you."

"Sorry, you won’t get that chance."

Hela did not waste time. The Night Sky Sword transformed into a black giant sword hundreds of meters long and cleaved down at Jessica. Jessica shouted and punched, shattering the void as she met the descending Death Giant Sword.

At that moment, the Death Giant Sword vanished. At the same time, a Night Sky Sword appeared out of nowhere in the space behind Jessica, piercing through her body and emerging from her chest with blood dripping from it.

"You can’t even tell real from fake. What makes you think you can fight me?"

Hela could not be bothered to look at Jessica again. She turned into a streak of Black Light and flew toward Quake King.

Jessica was the brute-force type. Not only was her control poor, her discernment was poor as well. For a technique-based master like Hela, dealing with her was simply too easy.

"Am I dying just like this? I’m so unwilling."

Jessica slowly collapsed. Death itself was not unacceptable, but being killed by such an unbearably smug junior sister was something Jessica simply could not swallow.

Jessica had pride too.

Bald Wang Bert silently watched everything unfold and did not step in to help Jessica—he wanted her to become more motivated. She was an adult now; she could not keep drifting through life in such a muddleheaded way.

At this moment, Dracula revived. Seeing Jessica’s condition, he cursed and transferred the injury in Jessica’s chest onto himself.

Jessica’s injury healed, but because her vitality had been damaged, she could not fight for the moment and needed time to recover.

Meanwhile, Hela shouted, and dense swarms of black swords shot toward Quake King. Quake King’s voice paused, then he released a Sonic Wave in front of himself, shattering every black sword.

Though he had dealt with the black swords, Quake King’s expression had become incredibly grim—Hela’s attack had disrupted his rhythm.

"An opportunity."

Annihilus’s eyes lit up. He immediately affected the time around them, then used all his strength to unleash more than ten thousand Annihilation Fingers in an instant, densely shooting them at Quake King.

Quake King sighed inwardly and raised his head, releasing a Dolphin Sound that shook heaven and earth. The Sonic Wave surged forth, violently colliding with the Annihilation Fingers in midair and shattering vast stretches of the void.

The Dolphin Sound had come too early. If Hela had not interfered, in another three minutes, he could have used the Dolphin Sound to defeat Annihilus, then stepped on him and become a Half-Step Ancient God.

"Impressive indeed. Unfortunately, you no longer have the chance."

Hela raised the Night Sky Sword, preparing to unleash an utterly unremarkable strike. The others were greatly alarmed, but they were too late to stop her.

While controlling the Light Sword to fire at the spatial barrier, Little Hela shouted, "Master, aren’t you going to make a move? What are you waiting for?"

Wang Bert ignored Little Hela and continued filming. The next moment, a dazzling figure appeared out of nowhere beside Hela and punched at her. Hela immediately raised her sword in front of herself. With a bang, she was sent flying.

Before Hela could stop, the dazzling figure appeared beside her again and launched a rapid barrage of punches. Hela snorted coldly, and space transformed into countless black swords that slashed toward her opponent.

The dazzling figure, Carol, immediately crossed space to appear behind Hela. Then, she condensed Space Energy into a greatsword and slashed it at Hela’s neck.

Hela turned and caught the energy greatsword with her Death Hand. She clenched hard, shattering the energy greatsword. The fragments shot at Carol like concealed weapons.

Carol casually waved her hand, and all the energy fragments shattered. Hela sneered and cut apart the void with one slash. Then she shouted at Carol, "Senior Sister Carol, I never expected you to return. Hmph, now that even space is gone, let’s see how you cross space!"

"You wouldn’t even spare your fellow disciples. Today, I’ll teach you a proper lesson on Master’s behalf."

Carol raised both hands, and a massive Shockwave blasted toward Hela. Hela swung her sword to cut it apart. At that moment, Carol suddenly appeared behind her, both fists smashing viciously toward her head.

"How is this possible?"

Hela’s face was full of disbelief. She raised her left hand to block Carol’s punches, only to be sent flying by a single blow.

"There’s nothing impossible about it. I am space, and space is me. Unless space turns into chaos, I can cross through anywhere."

Carol pressed her advantage, relentlessly pursuing Hela with a savage barrage. Having lost the initiative, Hela was suppressed by Carol all the way and could only defend herself.

"Damn it, are these Super Heroes seriously this broken? They can comprehend concepts whenever they say they can?"

Hela cursed loudly. Back then, in order to comprehend a concept, she had slaughtered several planets and spent more than a hundred years. Yet Carol had comprehended one just like that? This game called reality was utter trash. There was no balance at all, and people were always cheating.

"Carol is back. That’s wonderful."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. After thinking for a moment, Little Hela stopped attacking the spatial barrier and moved closer to carefully analyze the Soul Runes, looking for a way to purify them.

As for Steve and the others, they held back the Asgardian undead army. Mindy’s Vengeance Fire was especially effective here, burning down large swaths at once.

"They really are strong."

Jessica watched Hela and Carol’s constantly intertwining figures, secretly clenching her fists. Hela and Carol were not only powerful, but their control was astonishing as well. For instance, although Carol appeared and disappeared unpredictably, Hela’s sword momentum remained steady. Even Carol could not easily land an attack on her.

Wang Bert’s voice rang out in Jessica’s mind. "One minute on stage takes ten years of work offstage. Jessica, they weren’t born this strong."

Jessica was silent for a long while before saying, "Master, I want to train."

"I thought you wanted to play basketball."

Wang Bert chuckled. "When you go to sleep tonight, call Old Cyttorak’s name and have him be your sparring partner."

Jessica was stunned. "Old Cyttorak?"

Wang Bert said, "The Crimson God Cyttorak. He’ll do me that favor, and he has to."

Jessica complained, "Master, are you being a hands-off boss again?"

Wang Bert said irritably, "What do you mean, again? Your master is just too busy. It can’t be helped—the universe needs me to save it. Without me, there’s an eighty percent chance the universe would be destroyed."

Jessica fiercely gave Wang Bert the middle finger and continued watching the battle.

Wang Bert smiled. It seemed Jessica had recovered. He hoped she would remember this lesson and stop drifting through life in such a muddleheaded way.

After Carol comprehended a concept, her strength soared, but Hela was still stronger than her. As time passed, Hela gradually reversed the disadvantage and traded blows evenly with Carol.

Carol was not worried, because she knew time was on their side.

Before long, a spatial portal suddenly appeared. Then Strange emerged from it with Hulk, Thor, and Ghost Rider Damon.

Strange had successfully comprehended magic and broken Chthon’s spatial confinement.

"Hela, you despicable woman!"

Thor was furious. Raising his axe, he charged at Hela like a bolt of lightning. Hela’s heart sank. It seemed killing Skye and the others was no longer possible.

"Fortunately, we still won this time."

Hela raised her sword to block Thor’s axe. Then, with a flick of her longsword, she redirected Thor’s axe behind her, nearly striking Carol, who had just Teleported over.

"Carol, why did you run under my axe?"

Thor cursed and unleashed countless bolts of lightning from his axe at Hela. Hela tore open space with one slash, and all the lightning flew into the spatial rift. Then Hela thrust her left hand forward, turning space and lightning into countless black swords that shot overwhelmingly toward Carol and Thor.

Carol and Thor cursed as they destroyed the black swords and retreated.

With an opening, Hela immediately swung an utterly unremarkable sword strike at Carol. Carol sensed danger and instantly merged into the void. Hela’s Death Slash lost its target and turned toward Thor nearby.

Thor had already seen this move before. Startled, he hurriedly activated his trump card, Thor’s Wrath, and slammed his head, covered in lightning runes, toward Hela.

Hela suddenly became incomparably furious. Her small head viciously rammed into Thor’s large head. With a boom, space shattered like glass. Hela flew backward like a kite with a broken string, her head even becoming deformed.

"Hahaha, Hela, now you know how powerful I am, right? Let’s see if you dare look down on me again!"

Thor laughed triumphantly. Hela’s face turned extremely ugly. She stopped in space, and her head rapidly returned to normal.

Thor froze. Hela actually had an immortal body? That was right, Hela had an immortal body. As long as death still existed in the universe, she would not die, and any injury could rapidly heal.

No one had known before because Hela had never been injured.

"Enough. Stop. This battle should end now."

Hela raised her hand and shouted. Hulk sneered. "You say stop, so we stop? Who do you think you are, a Creator God?"

"I’m not a Creator God, but if I tell you to stop, you must stop."

Hela sneered. "If you don’t stop, I’ll move the battlefield to your Frontlines. When that happens, many people will die."

Everyone’s expressions darkened. The Frontlines were not far from here. With Hela’s abilities, moving the battlefield there would not be difficult at all.

Once a battle began on the Frontlines, no one there could hope to survive.

"How boring."

Quake King snorted in displeasure, retreated to the rear, and turned back into Skye and Black Bolt.

Quake King was not afraid of Hela’s threat. The reason he stopped was that his rhythm had been disrupted, and he could not defeat Annihilus and become a Half-Step Ancient God within a short time.

In other words, this battle had lost its meaning for him. Since that was the case, why keep fighting? Stopping was better.

Annihilus flew to Hela’s side with a dark expression. This time, he had been utterly humiliated—suppressed and beaten from beginning to end by a Super Hero. If Hela had not helped, there was an eighty percent chance he would have been severely injured.

"Super Heroes."

Annihilus gritted his teeth, his heart filled with shock. Although his strength in the Main Universe was far inferior to what it was in Negative Space, he should not have been suppressed by a mere God-Devil Level being.

Earthlings were too terrifying.

After Annihilus escaped, Hela waved her hand and withdrew the Domain of Death. Little Hela led the others flying to Hela’s opposite side, confronting her.

Hela glanced toward Tony and said, "Release Knull."

"Who’s Knull? Do I know him?"

Tony asked. Clearly, he had regained control of his body—Knull had already been suppressed beneath the mountain by him and Ivan.

"Release him, or I’ll curse you to death with his soul."

Hela said, "The soul of an Ancient God is enough to curse an entire planet’s humans to death."

Little Hela said, "Tony, release Knull. You can’t block the Death God Curse. At your core, you’re still a mortal."

Tony snorted unhappily and said to Knull, "I’ll let your mouth out. The rest of you stays behind. I’m going to use your head to forge a divine artifact."

"You!"

Knull was furious. A mere human dared humiliate an Ancient God like him? Ivan shouted, "Get lost, or don’t blame me for using Tony’s life to fight you to the death."

Tony looked speechlessly at Ivan. Why use his life to fight Knull? Didn’t Ivan have a life of his own?
