Chaos in Knowhere

"We’re almost at Knowhere. A billion—an entire billion. I don’t even know how to spend it."

Inside the Milano, Star-Lord was practically glowing with excitement, looking like he wanted to leap up and burst into song and dance.

Rocket laughed loudly. "Isn’t that easy? Go to a Casino and turn one billion into two billion, then two billion into four billion."

"I am Groot."

Groot spoke, and Rocket said irritably, "Shut up. When have I ever lost? I’m just letting them hold my money for a while. I’ll take it back someday."

Destroyer Drax said, "I have no interest in money. I only want to kill Ronan and avenge my family."

Rocket cursed, "Once we get the money, I don’t care what you do, because it has jack shit to do with me."

"Why would your shit have anything to do with me?"

Drax asked in confusion, "Your shit comes from you, not me. My shit could stink you to death."

"That’s disgusting." Star-Lord cursed loudly.

"Oh God."

Rocket looked up and sighed. This big guy was way too single-minded, wasn’t he?

Gamora shook her head helplessly. It wasn’t that there was no solution; she simply did not want to keep hanging around this pack of weirdos.

It was a pity they had not run into Blood God earlier. If he had acted, none of this would have been a problem.

"Knowhere… I wonder if that dead woman is still there?"

Thinking of the woman who had exchanged sneak attacks with her dozens of times some time ago, only for the two of them to end in a draw, a faint ripple stirred in Gamora’s heart. She quickly shook her head. Business came first.

Not long afterward, Star-Lord shouted excitedly, "We’re here."

"Knowhere."

Looking at the enormous Celestial Head, Rocket and Groot, who were visiting for the first time, were both somewhat amazed. Star-Lord was the same. As he looked around, he piloted the ship into the interior of the head.

However, the farther inward they went, the more Star-Lord felt that something was wrong. Why was everyone staring at their ship? "Something might be off. Everyone, stay alert."

Star-Lord warned them, but Rocket said dismissively, "If you can’t handle it, let me fly the ship. I’m the best pilot in the Entire Universe."

"Sorry, but I’m the best pilot in the Entire Universe, not you."

Star-Lord snorted. After thinking for a moment, he deliberately found an empty spot to land the ship.

Then, the five of them stepped off the ship one after another and headed for Tivan’s collection hall. At that moment, a huge crowd suddenly appeared in the previously empty surroundings. They rushed toward Star-Lord and the others, terrified that someone else would snatch the Power Stone if they were even a step too slow.

"So there really is a problem. These people definitely aren’t fans of my dancing. Get back to the ship!"

Star-Lord hurriedly shouted, but it was too late. A barrage of Energy Bullets came fiercely shooting in from afar, and the five of them hastily took cover behind the Milano.

Star-Lord was about to start the Milano and return fire when several energy cannons blasted toward them. The Milano was blown to pieces, left in a miserable state.

"Milano!"

Star-Lord shouted in shock and fury. What was going on? Why were so many people attacking them? Rocket yelled angrily, "Gamora, was this a trap you set up?"

"Shut up! Can’t you see they’re attacking me too? Get out of here!"

Gamora roared angrily, holding the Godslayer Dagger. Rocket gritted his teeth, raised his heavy cannon, and blasted the area ahead, forcibly opening a gap with fire and explosions.

The five of them fled through the gap and escaped the encirclement, but to their despair, there was still a dense crowd outside it—people were crazily charging toward them.

Their eyes were filled with Greed, the kind of Greed that wanted to swallow a person whole, skin and bones included. Star-Lord and the others’ hearts sank. This time, they were probably in serious trouble.

"Idiots, throw away the Power Stone now, or you’re dead!"

At that moment, a voice suddenly rang out. Star-Lord turned and saw his captain, Yondu—the man he had betrayed earlier.

"They’re after the Power Stone?"

Star-Lord froze for a moment, then took a fake Orb from his bag and hurled it at Yondu. He shouted, "Yondu, the Power Stone is yours!"

"No!"

Gamora hurriedly tried to retrieve the Power Stone, but an Energy Gun shot her back. Immediately afterward, everyone charged toward the Orb. That was four billion.

"That little ungrateful bastard! I tried to save him out of kindness, and he set me up instead."

Yondu gritted his teeth in fury. He whistled, and an arrow flew out, knocking the Orb away.

Everyone immediately changed direction and chased after the Orb. Soon, someone grabbed it and shouted, "I’m rich! I’m about to become a tycoon like Bert Wang!"

Bang! The alien was directly blasted into pulp by an Energy Gun. Then everyone else swarmed forward, crazily fighting over the Orb.

As more and more people rushed over, the situation became increasingly chaotic. A melee inevitably erupted. Star-Lord and the others stared in stunned silence, then hurriedly fled the area.

Gamora roared furiously at Star-Lord, "You bastard! How could you throw away the Orb?"

"Exactly, bastard! You owe me a billion."

Rocket shouted as well. Star-Lord snapped, "If I hadn’t thrown it away, we’d already be dead, okay? Stop talking nonsense. Something’s wrong here. We need to get out of here."

"No, we have to take the Orb back."

Gamora turned and ran back. Rocket, Groot, and Drax followed close behind—Rocket could not bear to lose the money, Groot was helping his friend, and Drax wanted to use the Power Stone to lure Ronan over.

"A bunch of idiots."

Star-Lord smiled smugly. Those people would definitely never guess that the Orb was fake.

This was perfect. He could keep the four billion all to himself.

Gamora and the others had indeed not thought of that, but someone had—Yondu. He led his men and surrounded Star-Lord with grins. "Quill, hand over the Power Stone, or don’t blame me for getting rough and feeding you to the others."

"Using that threat again? Yondu, you’re a bastard."

Star-Lord cursed. He took out the real Orb and shouted, "The real Orb is with me! Anyone who wants it, come and take it!"

Star-Lord’s voice quickly drew a crowd over. When they saw Yondu and the other Ravagers, they immediately opened fire. Yondu cursed loudly and hastily led his men in returning fire. Star-Lord tried to take the chance to escape, but Yondu had anticipated it and sent people to stop him.

"Damn it."

Star-Lord could only put away the Orb and battle the Ravagers. Just then, someone in the distance suddenly shouted, "The Orb is over here!"

A group of people was immediately drawn over. Yondu fired while asking in astonishment, "Idiot, where exactly is the Orb?"

"Why should I tell you? Yondu, I’m not your subordinate anymore."

Star-Lord snorted. Yondu said angrily, "Kid, without me, you’d have been eaten by those people long ago."

"What normal person eats people? You’re all a bunch of bastards."

Star-Lord cursed loudly. At that moment, someone somewhere else shouted again, "The Orb is over here!"

The criminals, already crazed by bloodlust, immediately rushed over. Yondu and Star-Lord exchanged looks. Someone was clearly stirring up trouble.

There was indeed someone stirring up trouble—Black Widow Natasha. Under her arrangements, it did not take long for all of Knowhere to descend into chaos, with everyone desperately fighting over the Orb.

What they did not know was that there were already more than ten Orbs appearing around Knowhere.

"Kill each other. You were criminals to begin with. Blood and fire are where you belong."

Natasha laughed loudly and shouted to her subordinates behind her, "Move! We’re going to raid Tivan’s warehouse."

"Yes!"

Her subordinates loudly answered. They had long since submitted to Fire Spider’s flames. Forget raiding Tivan’s warehouse—even if she ordered them to kill Tivan, they would not so much as frown.

Inside the Collector’s collection hall, Tivan listened to his subordinates’ reports and frowned deeply. With his intelligence, he could naturally tell that someone was pulling strings behind the scenes.

"Is this for the Orb? What a nuisance."

Tivan shook his head, looked at the two terrified red-skinned maids, and cursed, "What are you afraid of? Even if they had ten thousand times the courage, they wouldn’t dare provoke me. We’ll just sit back and watch the show."

"Yes, Master."

The two maids nodded respectfully. At that moment, an intelligent robot suddenly reported, "Warehouse Number Thirteen has been breached. A large quantity of supplies and materials has been looted."

"What? Someone actually dares steal my things?"

Tivan flew into a rage and immediately said, "Send out the combat robots. Exterminate every last one of those audacious fools."

"Yes, Master."

The intelligent robot immediately obeyed. Soon, over a hundred fully armed combat robots rushed toward Warehouse Number Thirteen.

"I’ve been waiting for you."

When Natasha saw the combat robots appear, she clapped her hands. A warship suddenly appeared in the sky and unleashed a barrage of fire at the combat robots.

The combat robots were caught off guard and were soon all blasted apart, reduced to wreckage.

Natasha had acquired this warship herself. Black Widow’s combat strength might not have been particularly high, but she was a top-tier agent. Given time and resources, she could easily overturn an entire organization.

"Next step."

Natasha gave the order coldly. Of all people, Tivan had chosen to offend Blood God. He was destined to have terrible luck today.

"Someone is taking advantage of the chaos to raid Tivan’s warehouse! Wow, Tivan is so rich. The things in that warehouse are worth at least a billion."

"They’re asking to die. Tivan will definitely send robots to wipe them out."

"Tivan’s robots have been destroyed."

"Someone else is raiding Tivan’s shops! Wow, the raw materials inside are worth hundreds of millions."

"Tivan’s robots have been destroyed again."

"Wow, Tivan’s collection hall has been breached! Every single item inside is worth hundreds of millions."

"Wow, Tivan has been killed."

At first, the rumors were fairly serious, but later they became wildly exaggerated. The problem was that the criminals did not know the truth. Hearing that Tivan was dead and that his warehouses and shops were full of valuable goods, they immediately turned around and attacked Tivan’s properties.

Robbing the Power Stone was robbery, and robbing Tivan’s warehouses was robbery. There was no difference.

Knowhere was now completely thrown into chaos.

"I’m not dead!"

Tivan roared, but for some reason, the signals in the area had been blocked. His voice could not reach the outside at all.

The two maids cried out in terror, "Master, what should we do?"

"Why the hell are you shouting? I’m one of the Elders of the Universe. Do you think I’m afraid of a group of criminals? I’ll go out myself. Once they see me, they definitely won’t dare attack again."

Tivan snorted and strode toward the door. He happened to see a group of thugs burning down one of his shops. He was about to say something when, after their initial shock at seeing him, they immediately opened fire.

They had already started robbing him. How could they turn back now? They might as well take Tivan out too.

"This is rebellion. Complete rebellion."

Tivan was furious. With a wave of his hand, an energy barrier appeared out of thin air and blocked the thugs’ attacks.

The thugs were somewhat startled. They had not expected Tivan to be so powerful. Tivan snorted and was about to destroy them when others spotted him and rushed over, firing crazily at him.

If Tivan did not die, they would.

Tivan once again used an energy barrier to block the attacks. Looking at the Celestial Head filled with flames and the sounds of slaughter, his heart sank.

Knowhere was finished. Those criminals no longer feared him. Unless he could kill every last one of them, Knowhere was truly finished.

Could Tivan kill them all? Unfortunately, no.

Tivan had merely lived a long time. He was not particularly powerful—in fact, he was not skilled at combat at all.

In Tivan’s words, I’m a civilized man. I don’t get involved in that fighting and killing crap.

"Damn it."

Tivan ordered the combat robots to guard the entrance while he fled back into the collection hall. Then he shouted, "Bring my collections. We’re leaving this place."

The maids were stunned. "Master, are we running away?"

"We’re relocating. Relocating, understand? Don’t let me find the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator, or I’ll have him torn to pieces."

Tivan gritted his teeth and roared, "What are you standing around for? Start moving!"

After roaring, Tivan ran toward the rear at top speed. A luxurious spaceship was parked there—an escape route he had prepared for himself.

"Quick, move everything aboard!"

Tivan jumped onto the spaceship and shouted. At that moment, loud yelling suddenly came from outside. "Tivan is inside! Kill him! Every collection piece in there is worth hundreds of millions!"

"Kill him! If he doesn’t die, he’ll definitely take revenge on us!"

"Kill!"

Countless people roared. Intense gunfire and cannon blasts erupted outside. The combat robots rapidly collapsed and could only barely hold on behind a Defense Shield.

"Quick! Move everything faster!"

Tivan shouted frantically. The maids and robots hurriedly transferred the collections onto the spaceship as fast as they could.

After a while, the two maids suddenly shouted, "Master, Cosmo and Howard the Duck’s wheels are broken. They can’t be moved."

"Damn it! Fix them immediately!"

Tivan cursed loudly. At that moment, there was a crack, and fractures began spreading across the Defense Shield. Tivan was startled. Seeing that more than half the collections had already been transferred, he gritted his teeth and pressed a button. The ceiling above the collection hall swiftly opened.

Then, the spaceship’s plasma engines sprayed out Light Flame. The spaceship slowly rose into the air, and the two maids cried out in terror, "Master, wait for us!"

Tivan ignored them. He shut down the Defense Shield, controlled the spaceship, and shot into the sky, speeding away into the distance.

Although the criminals attacking outside fired at the spaceship immediately, they could not stop it at all.

Seeing Tivan leave, the two maids who had been terrified moments ago let out huge sighs of relief. One of them took a small communicator from her clothes and reported, "Lady Fire Spider, Tivan has escaped."

"Very good. Was Cosmo left behind?"

Natasha asked. Blood God had specifically requested Cosmo. In truth, Natasha was also very interested in him, since he was a space dog from Earth and carried that piece of history with him.

The maid respectfully answered, "He was left behind."

Natasha said, "Very good. I declare that from this moment onward, you are free. As long as I’m here, no one will ever treat you as slaves again."

"Thank you, Lady Fire Spider."

The two maids wept with joy. They had betrayed Tivan for freedom.

Tivan was a complete scumbag. Countless maids had died at his hands, and some had even been turned into exhibits.

After confirming that Tivan had escaped, Natasha instructed her subordinates, "Take out those criminals. Everything inside belongs to us."

"Yes."

Her subordinates answered loudly and aimed their guns at their former "comrades."
