Chapter 10: Bold Evildoers!

Outside the Trial Tower.

A white light flashed, and Yasuo's figure appeared out of thin air.

He looked around, his face bearing a just-right expression of bewilderment.

"Hmm?"

Several dark figures quickly darted out from the shadows, surrounding him tightly.

The leader was a burly man in a black suit with a fierce and fleshy face.

Yasuo furrowed his brows slightly.

He spoke slowly, his voice carrying a hint of an ancient style: "Why have you gentlemen sought me out?"

The men in black suits looked at each other in dismay.

How come this bro speaks in such a pretentious, scholarly tone?

"What is your name?" the leading burly man asked in a rough voice.

Yasuo pressed his hand against the hilt of his sword, his gaze calm: "I am a swordsman, Yasuo."

"A swordsman?"

"Is this guy's brain damaged?" a lackey nearby muttered under his breath.

The burly man waved his hand impatiently: "Who cares if his brain has problems or not! Young Master Lu gave the order—anyone who looks like a long-haired uncle gets detained, and the same goes for anyone named Yasuo! Take him down first and talk later!"

Glaring at Yasuo, he said viciously: "Kid, come with us on a trip!"

A flash of vigilance crossed Yasuo's eyes: "What people are you all? Why block my path?"

"Stop the nonsense!"

The burly man let out an angry shout, his sand-bowl-sized fist carrying the sound of wind, heading straight for Yasuo's face!

He was a Rank 22 Fighter, confident that this single punch would be enough to lay this seemingly frail-looking guy up for half a year!

However, Yasuo's figure merely flickered.

Like a phantom, he easily dodged it.

The burly man's punch missed, looking somewhat surprised.

The other black-suited men also pounced forward at the same time, blade lights and sword shadows flashing, cooperating tacitly.

These people were all around Rank 20, with rich experience.

Yet under the siege of several people, Yasuo's figure was like a withered leaf in the wind, flickering unpredictably.

Every attack brushed past the corner of his clothing with extreme narrowness.

Yet they couldn't touch even a shred of him!

"Damn it! Is this kid made of loach?!"

"His speed is too fast!"

The several men in black suits became more and more alarmed as they fought.

Yasuo tipped his toes, instantly opening up a distance of several meters.

He slowly drew the dark iron longsword from his waist, the tip of the sword pointing diagonally at the ground.

A melodious sound of a flute seemed to come from the Void Realm, carrying a hint of desolation and determination.

"You villains, do not blame me for being merciless!"

A chilling killing intent permeated from Yasuo's body.

Just as both sides were at daggers drawn and a battle was on the verge of breaking out—

"Stop!"

An angry shout came over.

Four figures hurried over; they were precisely the principals of the four major vocational high schools in Tianhai City.

Principal Zhang of No. 1 High, who led the group, glared furiously at those men in black suits: "In broad daylight, you actually dare to commit public violence outside the Trial Tower! Do you still have any regard for the law in your eyes!"

Seeing the four principals, the arrogance of the several men in black suits instantly shrunk by half.

They recognized these figures; they were all influential people in Tianhai City.

The leading burly man put up a bold front and said: "We just wanted to invite this… friend to go chat, no other meaning."

"Chat?" Principal Li sneered, "I think you guys want to 'chat' him into the hospital!"

"If you dare to make a move again, don't blame us for being impolite!" Principal of No. 3 High also warned in a deep voice.

The burly man in the black suit had a face that turned green and white.

He glared fiercely at Yasuo: "Kid, count yourself lucky!"

Having said that, he fled dejectedly with his subordinates.

Only then did the four principals breathe a sigh of relief and turn collectively toward Yasuo.

When they saw Yasuo's slightly weathered face clearly, they were all stunned.

"This student, you…" Principal Zhang hesitated somewhat, "You are Yasuo?"

Looking at him, he must be at least over thirty, right?

A student participating in the Trial Tower challenge this year?

Yasuo sheathed his sword, looked up at the night sky at a 45-degree angle, and gave the principals an unfathomable back.

"Indeed, it is I, Suo."

"His name is Yasuo, then the number one on the rankings should definitely be him!"

"But this person… looks a bit weird."

The several old principals muttered inwardly at the same time.

Principal Zhang cleared his throat and continued to ask: "Student Yasuo, which school are you from?"

Yasuo slowly turned around, his gaze distant: "My whole life has been drifting in all directions, never with a place of rest."

"What the heck?"

The four principals were collectively dumbfounded.

What on earth is all this?

Yasuo cupped his hands slightly toward the four principals: "Many thanks to the four Seniors for stepping in to help, Suo is endlessly grateful."

"It is getting late today, Suo still has important matters to attend to, I shall take my leave first."

After finishing, he turned around and was about to leave.

"Hey, student, don't rush to leave yet!" Principal Zhang hurried to stop him.

He rubbed his hands, his face full of eagerness: "Uhm… I want to ask, what exactly is your profession? Which school do you come from?"

Yasuo lowered his head, his index finger gently rubbing the stubble on his chin, pondering slightly.

"I am a Thunder Swordsman."

"Lonely and bitter since childhood, drifting without support, taking heaven and earth as a hut, and the four seas as home."

"My lifelong wish is merely to punish evil and promote goodness, acting on behalf of Heaven!"

The principal of No. 3 High lit up, hurriedly stepping forward: "This young hero Yasuo! I see your bones are unusual, and your talent is extraordinary! Are you interested in coming to our Tianhai No. 3 High?"

"As long as you come, I guarantee you a spot to enter the Empire's top institution of higher learning for further studies!"

"Old Liu, this isn't fun of you!" The principal of No. 4 High refused to show weakness, "Student Yasuo, come to our No. 4 High! Our No. 4 High has many beauties! Ah bah! I mean rich Cultivate resources! Top tutors personally guide!"

Principal Li was also anxious: "Student Yasuo, our No. 2 High…"

Principal Zhang directly interrupted: "Stop arguing, all of you! Student Yasuo, our No. 1 High is the best choice in Tianhai City! As long as you nod, you can name your conditions!"

In order to snatch people, the four principals almost started fighting on the spot.

However, Yasuo just listened quietly.

After they finished speaking, he slowly shook his head and cupped his hands again.

"Thank you all Seniors for your kind affection."

"However, Suo is used to being a free and unfettered crane in the clouds, and dislikes restraints."

"There is no banquet in this world that never ends, let us part ways here."

As his voice fell, he turned around gracefully.

He chanted in a low voice: "Carrying a sword and striding a horse to wield ghost rain, white bones like mountains as startled birds fly away. Dust affairs like tides and people like water, only sighing how many return to Jianghu."

Afterwards, with giant strides and without looking back, he walked toward the outside of the square.

Leaving behind only a solitary and resolute back.

"Hiss…"

The four principals looked at each other in dismay, unable to know what to say for a moment.

After a long while, Principal Li of No. 2 High muttered: "How come I feel… this child's brain seems a bit… abnormal?"

The other three principals nodded deeply in agreement.

The principal of No. 3 High suddenly slapped his thigh: "Oh my! This kid got first place, it seems he hasn't gone to claim his reward yet!"

At this moment, Yasuo had already left the Trial Tower square quite far.

The night grew deeper, and pedestrians on the street were sparse.

Suddenly, several dark figures flashed out again from both sides of the alley, blocking his path.

It was precisely that group of men in black suits from earlier.

The leading burly man wore a ferocious sneer on his face: "Kid, I thought you would keep following those old fellows."

"I didn't expect you to be so bold that you actually dared to run out alone!"

"There is a road to heaven which you refuse to walk, but you barge into Hell where there are no doors!"

"Obediently submit, and you can suffer a bit less physical pain! Otherwise, hum!"

Yasuo silently lowered his head, his right hand slowly gripping the hilt of his sword.

"Bold desperadoes!"

His voice suddenly turned cold, carrying a bone-chilling chill.

"Incorrigible, your crimes cannot be forgiven!"

"Clang!"

The dark iron longsword suddenly unsheathed, emitting a clear Dragon roar!

"Courting death!"

The burly man shouted angrily, making the first move!

This time, he held nothing back, his whole body's muscles knotted, and his professional skill [Mountain-Crushing Fist] erupted with full force!

The rest also attacked at the same time, the lights of various skills flashing, sealing off all of Yasuo's retreats!

However—

"Sizzle!"

A dazzling thunder light suddenly lit up!

Yasuo's figure seemed to transform into a bolt of lightning, instantly shuttling through the encirclement!

[Lightning Rush]!

"Pfft!"

Fresh blood spurted!

An Assassin Professional holding a short blade clutched his throat and fell down in disbelief.

At his neck, a slender sword mark was deep to the bone!

Fast!

Too fast!

It was simply impossible to see how he drew his sword!

"Third!" The burly man's eyes split open in anger.

Yasuo's figure did not stop at all, the sword light slashing out again like a bolt of white silk!

[Thunderous Strike]!

A sword containing the power of thunder swept out with violent might!

"Ah——!"

Screams rang out one after another.

Two more men in black suits were hit by the sword light, electric arcs flashing all over their bodies, twitching as they fell to the ground, charred all over.

In the blink of an eye, only the leading burly man was left standing.

The ferocious smile on his face had long since disappeared, replaced by endless fear.

"You… what kind of monster are you?!"

Yasuo did not answer.

He approached step by step, the longsword in his hand flashing with cold light.

Above the tip of the sword, fine electric snakes jumped uncertainly.

The burly man was so terrified that his Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering, turning around to flee.

But Yasuo's speed was even faster than his!

"Swish!"

The sword light flashed and vanished.

The burly man's body froze in place, then slowly knelt down, his vitality severed.

Yasuo expressionlessly sheathed his sword.

He walked over to the several corpses, squatted down, and began searching their bodies.

A moment later, he tucked some scattered Xia coins and a few barely intact Dark Iron-grade equipment into his bosom, and stood up silently.

Just at this moment—

"Clap clap clap!"

A burst of crisp applause abruptly came from the darkness not far away.

"Brilliant! Truly brilliant!"

A somewhat bantering male voice rang out: "Not even Rank 10 yet, yet you can so cleanly and neatly dispose of several Professionals above Rank 20."

"Your profession is indeed very powerful, I am appreciating you more and more."

Yasuo raised his head abruptly, gripped the hilt of his sword, and brilliant light burst from his eyes!

"What person is sneaking around here?!"
