Chapter 10: Preparation (IV)
Lin Fan certainly wanted to see it, and he intended to buy it.
As for whether to fully restore its functions, Lin Fan was still considering it.
Because if this car's functions had not been fully restored back then, Lin Yue would not have hit anyone, and the subsequent events would not have happened.
"Lead the way…"
His tone was calm and unhurried, as if he were discussing an ordinary transaction, but inside, waves were already surging.
"Let's go, I'll take you to see it." Zhang Tie waved his hand and walked out the door excitedly.
Lin Fan and Zhang Ming followed closely behind, while Yin Miaoxue, Princess Hu Qinlan, and Princess Jin Xuan also followed Lin Fan from a short distance.
Thus, a strange-looking procession formed on the dilapidated street:
A rickety little truck led the way, followed by three stylish luxury cars, a scene that could be called "the ultimate urban-rural crossover."
Half an hour later, the convoy stopped at an abandoned scrapyard.
Rusty car shells were piled chaotically in the wasteland, and the air was filled with a stifling smell of rust mixed with motor oil.
Zhang Tie got out of the car, as composed as if he had returned to his own territory, and with a sweep of his eyes, he locked onto the dust-covered starfire c9.
He walked up, patted the car body, and laughed: "This is it, the 24-year limited edition starfire c9. Although it looks a bit broken, once repaired, it will scare the hell out of people."
He winked at Lin Fan, his tone carrying a hint of provocation: "50,000, and I'll refurbish it for you. Deal or no deal?"
The original price of the starfire c9 was as high as 30 million, and now it was nearly scrapped, but in Zhang Tie's eyes, scrap metal was the real treasure.
Lin Fan stood there, his gaze calm.
He remembered that in his previous life, he had bought this car for 20,000, which ended up rewriting his fate. But now, he no longer cared about such small change.
"Deal." Lin Fan transferred the money directly.
Zhang Tie took out his phone, saw the payment, and immediately beamed: "Haha, straightforward! Within ten days, I'll make it look newer than a new car!"
"You guys get busy, I won't disturb you." Lin Fan patted Zhang Ming's shoulder and turned to walk towards Princess Hu Qinlan.
The three luxury cars roared away from the dilapidated scrapyard.
Zhang Ming and Zhang Tie stayed behind and immediately got to work, starting to refurbish the starfire c9.
…
After returning home, Lin Fan let out a long sigh, leaned back on the sofa, and felt a wave of relaxation in body and mind.
With Zhang Ming gone, the atmosphere was much more relaxed.
The three women exchanged glances, their eyes filled with a hint of playful amusement.
Princess Hu Qinlan stepped forward first, took Lin Fan's hand, and gently pressed him down onto the sofa.
"Finally, no one is here to disturb us." Her voice was soft, as if a feather had lightly brushed across his heartstrings.
Yin Miaoxue walked over and looked down at him, her eyes revealing a trace of complex emotions, but more than that, it was long-suppressed affection.
She leaned down and gently kissed Lin Fan's forehead, a smile playing on her lips: "This time, it's our turn."
Princess Jin Xuan also leaned in, loosening his collar while playfully saying: "Young Master has worked hard, it's time to enjoy yourself."
Lin Fan smiled bitterly but did not pull away.
He reached out, pulled the three of them into his arms, and whispered: "Am I surrounded by you?"
"You're only realizing this now?" Yin Miaoxue snorted softly, looking a bit smug.
The living room lights shone softly on everyone, and the air was filled with a faint, warm fragrance, as if this ordinary night had become exceptionally tender and charming.
Princess Hu Qinlan blinked and smiled: "Yes, finally we can relax a bit."
A faint blush also appeared on Princess Jin Xuan's face: "In that case, let's indulge ourselves properly."
Their kisses landed on Lin Fan's lips, like warm morning light, scorching yet tender, seeping into his heart bit by bit.
Emotions were quietly heating up; there were no extra words, only the tacit understanding flowing between them, intoxicating.
Just like that, Lin Fan and his three accompanying attendants lived a quiet and warm life.
Time slipped away quietly in this daily routine—ten days passed in the blink of an eye.
A roar of an engine broke the silence.
The familiar rumbling sound came from outside the house, as if announcing some kind of return.
Lin Fan stood up, looked across the windowsill toward the end of the street, his eyes filled with a hint of premonition.
—It was here, his car.
He turned back and gently patted Princess Hu Qinlan's soft shoulder: "Let's go, pack up, it's time for us to move into our new home."
Princess Hu Qinlan reluctantly rose from his arms, her gaze filled with affection.
Yin Miaoxue and Princess Jin Xuan also stood up gently, their movements crisp and composed, as if everything had been arranged long ago.
The group picked up their bags and walked out the door.
Sunlight spilled onto the street, and a silver-grey supercar was parked quietly in front of the building, like a beast waiting for the right moment.
starfire c9—the legendary vehicle of the future.
Low-slung like a blade, sharp and imposing, the silver body shimmered in the sunlight, every inch of its lines exuding unruliness and oppression.
Zhang Ming was stunned.
He looked at the three dazzling women beside Lin Fan, then looked at this unparalleled, domineering luxury car, and he was completely dumbfounded.
—How could someone living in such an old residential building have this kind of entourage?
Lin Fan walked up, tapped the car body with his fingertips, and a flash of satisfaction crossed his eyes.
"Not bad." He said in a low voice, "Zhang Ming, Zhang Tie, you guys did a great job this time."
Not only was the car's exterior reshaped to a shine, but even the core System was as good as new.
Lin Fan finally understood: the repair issues in his previous life were not a technical problem at all, but because he hadn't paid enough money back then.
If Zhang Tie and Zhang Ming were in a Divine Rank civilization world, they would undoubtedly be engineering Geniuses.
He turned around, looked at the two, and patted Zhang Ming's shoulder. His tone was no longer that of an employer, but more like a commander recruiting soldiers:
"How about it, are you willing to work with me?"
Zhang Ming and Zhang Tie exchanged glances, their eyes still showing some hesitation.
This kid in front of them might be handsome, but could he really lead them to a good life? Whether they would even be able to eat their fill was another question.
Lin Fan saw the hesitation in their eyes. He didn't say anything, just took out his phone and tapped the screen.
The next second, both their phones vibrated simultaneously.
[Payment Notification: ¥100,000.00]
Zhang Ming looked down, his hand nearly shaking the phone out of his grasp.
Zhang Tie was stunned for several seconds, his mouth opening and closing, before he stammered: "Big Brother, from now on, you are my real brother!"
"Whatever you say, we'll do!" Zhang Ming was also so excited that his face turned red.
Lin Fan smiled slightly, his voice calm but filled with an unquestionable aura: "Very good. Go back and clean yourselves up; don't look so dirty anymore. Report here in three days."
He handed over a black and gold card with four gold-stamped characters: Star-Moon Manor.
Zhang Tie took it with both hands, as if holding the key to a new life.
Zhang Ming was so excited he was speechless, his eyes filled with the light of the future.
Lin Fan didn't speak again; he just turned to look at the street corner in the distance.
Sunlight spilled onto his shoulders, casting a proud and upright silhouette. The corners of his mouth lifted, outlining a look of disdain and confidence.
—This was only just the beginning.
