Chapter 102: The First Day of Failing to Leave

Su Yun paused his steps.

He looked at Elder Han Yue's cold, aloof face and her eyes, which were as calm as water, and suddenly had an ominous premonition.

"Is Husband leaving?"

Elder Han Yue asked again.

Su Yun opened his mouth, but before he could speak, Elder Han Yue had already walked up to him.

She reached out and gently smoothed a wrinkle on his collar.

"Husband intends to go to the Central Region alone without even telling me?"

Su Yun coughed dryly. "I was just about to tell you…"

Elder Han Yue looked up at him.

In those cold, aloof eyes, there was no blame, no questioning, only a faint… resentment.

"Liu Wugou was just accompanying Husband in the Main Hall, so shouldn't it be my turn now?"

Su Yun: "…"

He suddenly realized that he might not be able to leave today.

Seeing him silent, Elder Han Yue sighed softly.

"If Husband wants to leave, I cannot stop you."

"But before you leave… shouldn't you let me do my part as well?"

She spoke very softly and lightly, but the light in her eyes was exactly the same as Liu Wugou's just moments ago.

Su Yun was silent for a moment.

Then he reached out and scooped Elder Han Yue up.

"Alright."

He turned and walked toward another room.

Behind him, the sunlight was just right.

The hall doors closed.

A long time later.

Elder Han Yue lay on the couch, her cheeks flushed, long hair disheveled, breathing evenly.

She was sleeping very sweetly, a hint of a satisfied smile still on the corners of her mouth.

Su Yun gently withdrew his arm, got up, and put on his robe.

He pushed open the door and took a deep breath.

This time, I should be able to leave, right?

Then he froze.

Standing at the doorway were four people.

Murong Xue, Yin Hongyao, Ling Shuang, and Zhao Lanxin.

The four girls stood neatly under the corridor, looking at him.

Murong Xue was still in her white dress, stunningly beautiful, but currently, she was bowing her head with flushed cheeks.

Yin Hongyao was wearing her dark red martial outfit, her eyes sparkling, looking eager to try.

Ling Shuang was still in her blue-grey martial outfit with her hair tied up high, but she was blushing, her fingers tightly clutching the hem of her clothes.

Zhao Lanxin stood at the very edge, wearing that light pink ru-skirt, her small hands gripping her sleeves, her eyes red, yet she looked at him stubbornly.

Su Yun: "…"

He looked to the left, then to the right.

Four people, neatly arranged, not one missing.

"You all…" he began.

Murong Xue gathered her courage and looked up: "Master is leaving, and I… I want to…"

Yin Hongyao interjected: "Master, your subordinate wants to as well!"

Ling Shuang blushed, her voice as quiet as a mosquito's hum: "Disciple… Disciple also wants to…"

Zhao Lanxin could not speak, but she took a step forward, using her actions to express her intent.

Su Yun looked at them and suddenly laughed.

Fine, fine, fine.

Come, all of you, come.

I am at the Golden Core stage, who's afraid of whom?

He waved his hand.

"Come in."

The sky gradually darkened.

The afterglow of the sunset spilled over the valley, dyeing the scattered buildings a warm orange-red.

The door to the Main Hall finally opened.

Su Yun stepped out.

He was refreshed, his steps steady, and his face wore an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

Behind him, those four girls were fast asleep, one more soundly than the other.

Su Yun stood under the corridor, looking at the sunset clouds on the horizon, and let out a long sigh.

Golden Core is Golden Core; how could this bunch at the Qi Refining stage possibly stop him?

He was just about to step away.

Suddenly, a figure turned out from the corner of the corridor.

Su Yun paused.

It was a young girl.

Wearing a light cyan dress, the hem of her skirt fluttered gently with the night breeze.

Her dark hair had no excessive adornments, just simply tied behind her head, revealing a smooth forehead and delicate features.

She stood there, the sunset's afterglow falling on her, casting a soft halo around her.

Lin Waner.

Su Yun was momentarily stunned.

He finally noticed the young girl he had knocked out with a wooden stick at the village entrance.

Now, she had grown into a young woman.

Her aura had also reached the Late Qi Refining Stage.

She was only one step away from Foundation Establishment.

Su Yun looked at her and suddenly felt a bit dazed.

From that remote little village to the current Qingyou Valley.

From the first level of Qi Refining to the Late Qi Refining Stage.

From almost dying to being taken as a Disciple by True Monarch Bingpo.

It felt like not much time had passed.

Yet it also felt like a long time had passed.

Lin Waner looked at him, her vermilion lips parting slightly:

"Master, are you leaving?"

Su Yun's face darkened.

How does it seem like the entire academy knows he is leaving?

How exactly did this news spread?

He nodded helplessly.

"Yes."

Lin Waner lowered her head and was silent for a while.

Then she looked up at him.

He saw many things in those eyes: gratitude, reluctance, and a hint of… something indescribable.

"Master…"

She began, her voice trembling slightly.

"Your subordinate has always wanted to thank you, Master."

"That day in the Secret Realm, you disregarded everything and rushed in to save me."

"It was you, Master, who carried me out of that blood pool."

"And it was you, Master, who gave your own Spiritual Root to me."

"In the end, it was you, Master, who had Master save my life."

As she spoke, her eyes gradually reddened.

"Your subordinate has always wanted… wanted to do my part before you left, Master."

She looked up at Su Yun.

The sunset's afterglow spilled onto her face, making her delicate features look even softer.

Her cheeks were slightly flushed, but her gaze did not waver.

In those eyes, there was shyness, nervousness, but more than anything, a sense of… deep affection.

Su Yun was silent.

He actually really wanted to run.

Really.

"You…"

He had just started to speak when Lin Waner suddenly stepped forward, stood on tiptoes, and lightly pecked his lips.

Then she quickly stepped back, blushing, head bowed, her whole body trembling.

Su Yun froze.

Lin Waner bowed her head, her voice as quiet as a mosquito's hum:

"Disciple… Disciple has been rude…"

Seeing her like this, Su Yun suddenly laughed.

He reached out and rubbed her head.

"Let's go."

Lin Waner looked up, her eyes sparkling.

"Where to?"

Su Yun turned and walked toward the Main Hall.

"Go inside and talk."

Lin Waner was momentarily stunned, then blushing, she trotted to catch up.

Inside the Main Hall.

Su Yun pushed open the door to his room.

Then he froze.

The room was brightly lit.

On that large bed, several figures were lying helter-skelter.

Elder Han Yue.

Liu Wugou.

Murong Xue.

Yin Hongyao.

Ling Shuang.

Zhao Lanxin.

They didn't know when they had all run into one room.

Each of them was disheveled, hair messy, but their eyes were all sparkling as they looked at him.

Su Yun: "…"

Weren't you all asleep?

Liu Wugou was the first to react; she jumped off the bed, ran to his side, and hooked her arm around his.

"Master~"

Her voice was so soft it could drip water, but her eyes glanced at Lin Waner behind him.

"Oh, Sister Waner is here too?"

Lin Waner blushed, lowered her head, and dared not speak.

Liu Wugou laughed even more happily, leaned close to Su Yun's ear, and whispered:

"Master, it's so late today, why don't you just not leave?"

"Let's head out tomorrow morning instead."

Su Yun looked at her.

This woman was the first one to be dealt with, yet she had recovered the fastest.

Seeing him silent, Liu Wugou rolled her eyes and suddenly said:

"Master, your subordinate has something good to show you."

After saying this, she pulled Su Yun and walked into the room.

Behind them, Lin Waner was pulled by Liu Wugou's other hand and stumbled in after them.

Inside the room, the candlelight flickered.

Liu Wugou pulled Su Yun and Lin Waner to the bedside.

Then, she clapped her hands.

"Sisters, come show Master."

Those on the bed exchanged glances, blushed, and got off the bed one by one.

They walked to the window.

The windowsill was not high, just reaching their waists.

Murong Xue turned back, her cheeks crimson, her eyes like water, looking at Su Yun.

Yin Hongyao looked back; in those eyes, there was the allure from her Blood Ghost Hall background, as well as a hint of provocation.

Ling Shuang, her face was so red it was unwatchable, but she still stubbornly turned back to look at Su Yun.

Little Zhao Lanxin turned back, her eyes sparkling with innocent anticipation.

Elder Han Yue's face was also red, but seeing Su Yun's gaze sweep over, she bit her lip and slowly stood up, standing with her sisters.

Beneath her moon-white Daoist robe, her curves were exquisite.

She turned back, her cold, aloof face showing shyness, yet she stubbornly met his gaze.

The candlelight flickered, casting the silhouettes of their figures.

Liu Wugou smiled and took Lin Waner's hand.

Lin Waner was stiff all over.

Afterward, she turned back, her eyes watery, filled with tears and affection.

Liu Wugou clapped her hands, turned around, and looked at Su Yun.

She reached out and waved her sleeve.

The candles went out.

The room plunged into darkness.

Only moonlight shone through the window lattice, spilling a few strands of silver radiance.

In the darkness, Liu Wugou's voice came, filled with laughter, cunning, and a hint of expectation:

"Master, you cannot use your spiritual power, okay?"
