Chapter 12: Hell Arena (II)

Lin Fan was slightly taken aback, a few doubts arising in his heart.

He hadn't specified who he was looking for, yet this young girl seemed certain.

He glanced at the girl, his expression remaining neutral, but he began to ponder inwardly: "Is she just too familiar with the rules here, or did someone notify her of my arrival in advance?"

However, in a situation like this, he knew it was best not to show any unnecessary emotions.

He composed his thoughts, nodded, and said indifferently: "Fine, lead the way."

The girl swayed her waist as she walked in front, her tail flicking gently. The sound of her metal prosthetic limbs hitting the ground blended into the surrounding clamor.

Lin Fan followed closely behind. They descended underground and walked through a long corridor.

The further Lin Fan walked, the more he felt the atmosphere was strange. The air was filled with the scent of blood and alcohol, and his ears were filled with the roars and cheers of gamblers.

But he did not stop, keeping his eyes on the girl's figure the entire time.

A moment later, they stopped in front of a heavy metal door. Intricate mechanical patterns were carved into it, as if to proclaim its uniqueness.

The girl turned around, her tail tapping the doorframe lightly, and she smiled: "This is it. The person you are looking for is inside."

Lin Fan stood still, his gaze fixed steadily on the metal door.

He vaguely sensed a hint of danger, but his face betrayed no fear. He simply said softly: "Alright, I understand."

Just as Lin Fan stepped into the room, the metal door behind him slammed shut with a loud crash.

He quickly turned back, but only heard the girl's teasing voice from the other side of the door: "Guest, good luck!"

Accompanied by a light chuckle, the crisp sound of her tail tapping against the door panel gradually faded away.

Lin Fan frowned, slowly turned around, and began to look around.

Clearly he had been brought into the core area of the Hell Arena.

Countless dazzling lights hung from the huge dome overhead, illuminating the entire venue as if it were broad daylight.

The surrounding spectator stands were packed with frenzied onlookers. They were scantily clad, waving wine glasses in their hands, their deafening shouts creating an atmosphere so fanatical it was suffocating.

Lin Fan's opponent had arrived.

A low mechanical roar came from the other side of the arena.

A heavy iron door slowly rose, the ground trembling slightly, and immediately after, a massive cybernetic warrior stepped out.

He was named "Blood Hammer," the arena's champion warrior, and also a killing machine in the eyes of many.

Blood Hammer stood two meters tall, his body covered in cold mechanical cybernetic modifications.

His arms had been replaced with giant alloy hammer-arms, their surfaces covered in scratches and blood stains left by battle.

The cybernetic armor on his chest emitted a dark red glow, as if signaling his bloodthirsty nature.

His head still retained a human appearance, but half of his face was covered in metal, and his right eye was a cold electronic eye, emitting an eerie blue light.

With every step Blood Hammer took, the floor let out a heavy thud.

His Aura was so oppressive it made people unable to breathe, and many spectators screamed crazily upon seeing him appear: "Blood Hammer! Blood Hammer!"

Blood Hammer scanned the entire arena coldly, as if everything around him was nothing but his prey.

Meanwhile, the host appeared.

A figure appeared on the high platform in the center of the arena.

She was known as "Nightingale," a woman with a beautiful appearance but a dangerous Aura, and also the true owner of this arena.

Nightingale was tall, wearing a black leather dress with a silver chain belt around her waist, her golden curly hair draped over her shoulders.

Nightingale raised the microphone, her voice charming yet husky, instantly drowning out the clamor of the entire crowd:

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Hell Arena! Today's challenger is actually a new face! Let us welcome him!"

She paused slightly, her gaze turning toward Lin Fan,

"This confident young man is facing our champion, Blood Hammer! Next, let us wait and see how many minutes he can last!"

The spectator stands erupted into deafening cheers once again, everyone excitedly staring down at the stage, anticipating this lopsided battle.

Lin Fan, however, only narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, his eyes devoid of any fear.

Inside the arena, the gamblers began placing their bets fervently.

Most people did not favor Lin Fan, placing their chips on him not lasting even 10 seconds.

The odds for him lasting 30 seconds were already ridiculously high, and the betting area for Lin Fan to win was completely ignored.

Blood Hammer stared at Lin Fan standing in the center of the arena, a flash of anger crossing his eyes.

He felt insulted; the dignified champion of the Hell Arena was actually arranged to fight an ordinary human without any cybernetic modifications!

He roared and swung his massive alloy hammer-arms, smashing them hard against the ground.

"Boom!"

The tremendous impact shook the floor violently, sending sparks flying, and the arena fell silent for a brief moment.

Then, using the rebound force, Blood Hammer leaped high into the air, his massive figure rushing toward Lin Fan like a falling meteorite, the deafening mechanical sound accompanied by his roar:

"I want you dead!"

Lin Fan stood in place, watching the massive Blood Hammer descending from the air, a faint cold smile appearing on his face.

He turned his head to scan the seething spectator stands and said softly: "Fine, then I'll play with you."

Just as Blood Hammer was about to smash into him, Lin Fan tapped his toes lightly, his entire body instantly drifting away, his figure blurring as if pulled away by some mysterious force.

This movement completely defied common sense, even causing many spectators to exclaim in surprise: "How did he do that?!"

Meanwhile, a "crack" sound came from the spot where Lin Fan had originally stood; the titanium-alloy floor had actually been cracked into a spiderweb pattern by his light tap!

Lin Fan's movement instantly ignited the gamblers in the arena.

Many people immediately changed their betting direction, quietly moving their chips onto Lin Fan.

Some who originally did not favor him began to shout excitedly: "This kid is definitely not an ordinary person!"

After landing, Blood Hammer smashed his dual hammers hard onto the ground, emitting a deafening roar.

But Lin Fan was already standing casually to the side, staring at him with an indifferent gaze, the corners of his mouth slightly raised:

"Is that it? Do you want to try another hammer strike?"

The cheers from the spectator stands became even more fanatical, and the gaze of the host, Nightingale, began to become somewhat meaningful.

She murmured softly: "Interesting, it seems today's battle will be more worth watching than expected…"

Blood Hammer roared, raising his arms again, preparing to launch the next round of attacks, while Lin Fan appeared even more composed, a faint smile still hanging on his lips.

Blood Hammer's rage had reached its limit. He raised his dual hammers high, the alloy layers on his mechanical arms gleaming with cold light, and the energy conduits flowing with intense red light.

He let out a low growl and slammed his dual hammers down toward the ground, kicking up a scorching shockwave in an attempt to force Lin Fan to reveal his position.

"You are just a little bug without cybernetics; I will crush you!"
