Chapter 121: Chaos Strikes Down the Divine

However, this mysterious green-ox-drawn carriage was clearly also an Opportunity.

They were unwilling to share it with strangers for no reason.

So next, they only called their friends to explore the mysteries here.

Chen An was one of them.

But although the number of explorers increased, the result did not change.

They were all beaten out by random sticks.

This continued for over half a month, and they were still at a loss.

Clearly, this group was not smart enough.

And the moving White Mist inevitably attracted the attention of other Cultivators outside.

Every day, new Cultivators discovered the mystery and entered it.

Although they learned of the situation and tacitly chose to keep it secret.

They could not prevent the crowd outside the green-ox carriage from growing.

Clearly, if this continued, it would eventually become known to everyone in the Congyun Sea.

By then, even if there were some Opportunity here, it wouldn't be for their group.

So, they decided to seek outside help.

Smart outside help.

And Li Fan, who had left a deep impression on Chen An in the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace that day, naturally became one of the targets for outside help.

"If Fellow Daoist is interested, you can come near Yutang Island in the Congyun Sea. Then someone will lead you here."

"A green-ox-drawn carriage, how interesting." Li Fan had not heard of this matter in his previous life.

But since he had nothing to do and there was no danger to his life there, it wouldn't hurt to take a look.

After some preparation, Li Fan arrived at Yutang Island via the teleportation array.

The Guardian of the island brightened at the sight of Li Fan.

"Are you Fellow Daoist Li Fan? I am Zhou Ningchang, a friend of Chen An. Please follow me." Without delay, the man led Li Fan, flying towards the location of the green-ox carriage.

While flying, Zhou Ningchang briefed Li Fan on the latest progress.

"Fellow Daoist Li Fan, Chen An must have already told you the general situation. This green ox walks on water without stopping. Although its pace is not fast, it is still moving forward."

Zhou Ningchang looked troubled: "The green ox's path is a straight line. According to our speculation, it seems to be heading straight for the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace in the center of the Congyun Sea."

"At the green ox's current speed, it will enter the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace in at most another month. That damned place is full of anomalies. It's hard to say what changes will occur after the green ox enters. So we'd better find a way into the thatched cottage before then."

"Otherwise, no matter how unwilling we are, we'll have to give up." Zhou Ningchang said.

"The Cloud Water Heavenly Palace, huh…" Li Fan's gaze sharpened. He hadn't expected this green-ox carriage to be related to that Sect destroyed thousands of years ago.

After the briefing, the two flew in silence for most of the day until they saw a large mass of White Mist slowly moving on the sea surface in the distance.

"We're here!" Zhou Ningchang said, then flew into the White Mist first.

Li Fan had already locked onto Zhou Ningchang with his Formless Killing Intent. Activating his Heaven-Ear Earth-Eye technique, he saw the scene behind the White Mist and confirmed there was no ambush before slowly flying into the mist.

Around seventy or eighty people had gathered near the green ox. Most of them had bruised faces and looked quite battered.

Seeing more people arriving, they paid no attention.

They continued discussing loudly.

Chen An waved to indicate Li Fan to come over.

Li Fan went to Chen An's side and listened to the discussions.

"That monster without a mouth is easy to figure out. You just can't speak, not even communicate with Divine Thought, or else it will throw you out."

"Right. The key is the guy with the stick."

"Although getting beaten won't kill you, it hurts like hell!"

"How many days have you been here? I've been beaten over a dozen times."

"Don't mention it. Now I feel a bit uncomfortable if I don't get beaten for a day."

Chen An smiled wryly and explained to Li Fan: "Since we haven't found a way into the thatched cottage for so long, everyone can only find joy in misery."

"It's up to Fellow Daoist Li now."

Chen An looked at Li Fan with hopeful eyes.

Li Fan shook his head: "With so many people and so many days unable to come up with a solution, how could I be an exception? Fellow Daoist overestimates me."

"I can only give it a try. Don't get your hopes up too high."

Chen An nodded: "I understand that. We just do our best."

Li Fan then focused his attention on the thatched cottage ahead.

At that moment, a newcomer stepped forward to try. Li Fan squinted and observed carefully.

Following the experience shared by the crowd, the man walked silently to the thatched cottage.

Then, before he could make a move, the monster with bulging muscles and a wooden stick glared at him angrily.

The wooden stick turned into an arc of light and slammed heavily into him.

The Cultivator only had time to let out a scream before being sent flying without any resistance.

He only managed to stabilize himself after being thrown out of the range of the green-ox carriage.

Judging by the pained expression on his face, the blow was indeed severe.

"What cultivation level is that person?" Li Fan asked.

"Late Stage Foundation Establishment." Zhou Ningchang replied.

"There's also a Middle Stage Golden Core Cultivator here, but like the Qi Refinement Stage ones, he had no resistance against that stick."

"As for higher levels, we dare not invite them." He added.

"Regardless of cultivation, treating everyone equally, huh." Li Fan squinted. This characteristic made him think of anomalies.

"Is this place also an anomaly?" Li Fan couldn't help but wonder.

"If so, why doesn't this anomaly harm people?" Puzzled, Li Fan decided to try it himself.

So he flew quietly, landed in front of the thatched cottage, and walked forward slowly.

The mouthless monster ignored him, but the one with the stick grew angrier as he approached.

Li Fan frowned and stepped back.

The stick monster's expression gradually returned to normal.

Li Fan thought for a moment and continued forward. This time he moved even slower, but the monster didn't play this testing game with him.

The stick flew from its hand and slammed violently into Li Fan.

As if kicked hard in the stomach by a brutal force, Li Fan was sent flying uncontrollably.

"Hiss!" Li Fan gasped.

It really hurt.

Seeing Li Fan's failed attempt, the crowd didn't care much. They continued discussing in small groups how to try again tomorrow.

Li Fan, however, recalled the scene just now, pondering constantly.

The next day, everyone started trying again.

One by one, they were all sent flying.

The scene was quite comical.

When it was Li Fan's turn, it was the same, no exception.

The third day.

The result still didn't change.

As days passed and they got closer to the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace, everyone seemed to gradually lose patience.

Fewer and fewer people tried each day.

Watching all the Cultivators who had tried various methods without success,

Li Fan had a vague guess in his mind.

So, when the next day came, Li Fan announced to the crowd: "Would any Fellow Daoist at the Early Stage Qi Refinement be willing to dissolve their cultivation and give it a try?"
