Chapter 127

The opponent's level was too high; the corpses of the level 30-something Abyss Dog Demons were completely insufficient to harm them.

They couldn't even destroy the teleportation array the opponent had set up.

Lin Moyu knew he still had a long way to go.

At this moment, a burning eye wreathed in raging flames suddenly appeared within the black fog.

The instant the flaming eye appeared, Lin Moyu felt a chill down his spine and retreated rapidly.

At the same time, Skeleton Warriors appeared before him, blocking the space between him and the flaming eye.

A beam of fire shot out from the flaming eye, heading straight for Lin Moyu.

The Skeleton Warriors blocking his path were blown away like ants; they couldn't stop it at all.

The firelight struck Lin Moyu, and his Bone Armor erupted with brilliant light.

Lin Moyu was knocked backward as if hit by a heavy blow.

This was the first time he had been knocked back while wearing Bone Armor.

Crack!

A crisp sound rang out.

After holding for two seconds, the Bone Armor shattered with a boom.

The firelight immediately landed on Lin Moyu.

Damage Transfer took effect.

The damage Lin Moyu sustained was transferred entirely to the skeletons.

Dense cracks appeared on the bodies of the Skeleton Warriors simultaneously.

The attack power of the firelight was too strong, while Lin Moyu's own defense was too weak.

The damage he sustained was so immense it could have killed him hundreds of times over.

This damage ignored the skeletons' constitution and defense, dealing damage directly.

The Skeleton Warriors were all injured.

Lin Moyu did not panic; instead, while retreating, he cast another layer of Bone Armor on himself.

After the Bone Armor appeared, it shone brightly, but after holding for two seconds, it exploded with a boom.

At this moment, the Demon Observation Eye reacted, and Lin Moyu vanished instantly, reappearing on the city wall.

With no obstruction, the firelight struck the fortress barrier directly.

The barrier roared, erupting with brilliant light that illuminated the surroundings like daylight.

It wasn't just the barrier on the fortress that was glowing.

The entire Eternal Great Wall was glowing.

Brilliant light; a ray shot out from the Demon Observation Eye, piercing directly into the black fog.

A scream came from within the black fog; the flaming eye was heavily damaged and vanished instantly.

"Lin Moyu, I will not let you go!"

Accompanied by the scream, the black fog faded and disappeared.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

It was finally over.

It was just that the way this war ended was too bizarre.

It was almost entirely ended by Lin Moyu alone.

There was no need to think; when it came time to distribute military merits later, Lin Moyu would definitely get the lion's share.

"Are you okay?" Yiyi's little face was full of anxiety as she held Lin Moyu's hand, trembling incessantly.

Lin Moyu shook his head and forced a smile, "I'm fine."

He hadn't expected that the Abyssal Demon King would actually take action personally at the end.

Its attack was too strong; even through the teleportation array, the attack was not something he could withstand.

The Bone Armor actually only lasted for two seconds.

That was Bone Armor equivalent to 72,000 Constitution, yet it was so fragile.

Fortunately, there was Damage Transfer, otherwise he would have really died.

Lin Moyu felt he had been careless.

He shouldn't have gone over; he shouldn't have tried to destroy the black fog.

This was already beyond his capabilities.

He felt he had become a bit arrogant after clearing the field, and as a result, he almost paid a heavy price for his arrogance.

Fortunately, thank goodness.

He recalled the Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Mages, letting them return to the Summoning Space to recover.

A moment later, the barrier on the fortress gradually dissipated.

The battle finally ended.

The Demon Observation Eye resumed its rotation, slowly spinning above the fortress.

The Professionals sat on the ground, chatting and laughing.

No casualties; this was the best outcome.

When everyone looked at Lin Moyu, they all gave him looks of approval.

Lin Moyu's performance had been too brilliant.

Among the many gazes, only one person was different.

Zhou Lesheng; his gaze carried jealousy.

He was also on the battlefield, and he was also fighting on the front lines with an aura under his feet.

He fought very hard and showed no mercy when killing Abyssal Demon Dogs.

A Legendary-grade profession was no bluff; his combat power was very strong.

The aura beneath his feet was also very powerful; the Abyssal Demon Dogs could do nothing against him, and it was difficult for them to even get close.

However, his aura could only be used for himself and his teammates; it was useless for the entire legion.

The result was that he had only killed a few Abyssal Demon Dogs.

"If this battle had continued, and if it weren't for you, I would have been the one shining brightly."

"It's all because of you, it's all because you ended the battle so quickly, overshadowing my brilliance."

"I am a Legendary-grade Professional, I am a Holy Light Knight, I should be the one enjoying the glory!"

He hated Lin Moyu more and more in his heart, and his hatred deepened.

Especially when he saw Yiyi holding Lin Moyu with a worried look, his hatred soared.

He hated that the Abyssal Demon King's attack hadn't managed to kill Lin Moyu.

Why Lin Moyu was still alive.

"Abyssal Demon King, what a piece of trash!"

He cursed viciously, closed his eyes, and stopped looking; the more he looked, the more annoyed he became.

A few minutes later, General Ni Xiong, standing at the highest point of the fortress, spoke in a deep, resonant voice.

"Now, begin the distribution of military merits!"

Chapter 130: Shenxia Star Title? No Need, I Have Something Better

Prick up your ears; the time for the harvest had arrived.

Although rewards would be given based on merit, Lin Moyu would definitely take the lion's share.

But they shouldn't get too little either.

Amidst everyone's anticipation, Legion Commander General Ni Xiong's voice rolled out.

"In this battle, a total of 10,000 Abyssal Demon Dogs and 100 Abyss Dog Demons were killed. The military merit for killing enemies is 20,000 points."

"Defensive military merit is 3,000."

"No one retreated or cowered; military merit is 2,000."

"Total military merit is 25,000."

"There are a total of 1,052 Professionals on our side. Excluding Lin Moyu and Mo Yun, each person will receive 20 military merits."

"Mo Yun receives 500 military merits, and Lin Moyu receives 3,500 military merits."

Everyone wore an expression that said "as expected."

While 20 military merits seemed small, it was actually quite a lot.

Normally, if one wanted to obtain 20 military merits, one would have to kill 20 Abyssal Demon Dogs.

If a five-person team went to kill them, they would have to kill 100, so that each person could get 20 military merits.

To get 20 military merits from a defensive battle that lasted only a few minutes was already quite good.

No one had any objections to Mo Yun receiving 500 military merits; she had killed two Abyss Dog Demons by herself, and also killed quite a few Abyssal Demon Dogs.

As for Lin Moyu.

One could only say the word "respect" for him.

At least 80% of the Abyssal Demon Dogs died at his hands; as for the 100 Abyss Dog Demons, Mo Yun killed two, and the rest were all blown to death by Lin Moyu.

If not for his Curse at the beginning of the war, it would have been impossible to fight so smoothly.

Lin Moyu getting 3,500 points alone; no one was unconvinced.

Even Mo Yun had no objections.

Only Zhou Lesheng was unhappy.

"What? I only get 20 points, while he gets 3,500 points."

"Why don't I even get a fraction of his?"

"I am a Holy Light Knight, a Legendary-grade professional, why am I inferior to him?"

However, he only dared to think this in his heart.

He absolutely dared not say it out loud, unless he didn't want to stay in the army anymore.

In the legion, military orders were like mountains, and the Legion Commander's words were absolute.

No one had the qualification to refute them.

The military badges began to glow, military merits poured in, and many people's military ranks were promoted.

Some people were just one step away from promotion; a bit of military merit was all they needed to raise their rank.

Yiyi jumped up in joy; she had been promoted to a Two-Star Private.

Having done nothing and receiving 20 military merits, the little girl Yiyi was very satisfied.

Lin Moyu's military badge shone especially brilliantly.

It was several times brighter than everyone else's.

Stars kept appearing on the badge, six, seven, eight…

After reaching ten, the badge suddenly changed.

It changed from a white Private badge to a silver second lieutenant badge.

A second lieutenant badge was already considered an officer level; when ordinary Privates saw him on the battlefield, regardless of their level, they had to call him "Sir."

Even if you were level 50, even if you had undergone your Second Transfer, as long as your military rank didn't exceed Lin Moyu's, you had to respectfully call Lin Moyu "Sir."
