Chapter 128: Gaining Renown in the Cultivation Devil Sea, a Treasure Trove of His Own

Wang Lin swiftly flew at a low altitude at the bottom of the Cultivation Devil Sea. In his hand was a small banner, a Soul Banner, on which hundreds of Souls were Sealed. One of them was precisely the recently deceased Sang Muya. This Soul Banner belonged to Sang Muya, but unexpectedly became the reason for his demise.

Through his conversation with Sang Muya, Wang Lin learned that the area within a million-li radius was the outer region of the Cultivation Devil Sea. There were numerous Schools here, large and small, in endless variety. The Dou Xie Sect was one of them.

The highest-cultivating individual in the sect was Sect Leader Liu Sen, who was also Sang Muya's Grandmaster. He possessed Core Formation Middle Stage Peak cultivation and was somewhat well-known in the outer region of the Cultivation Devil Sea.

The outer region of the Cultivation Devil Sea was barren in resources and had sparse Spiritual Veins. Under normal circumstances, very few Nascent Soul Stage Devil Cultivators were willing to reside here; most of them lived in the central part of the Cultivation Devil Sea.

In addition, Wang Lin also learned that there were almost no Spirit Beast bones in the outer region of the Cultivation Devil Sea. Those powerful Spirit Beasts generally stayed in the central area of the Cultivation Devil Sea and rarely came here. Even if a few wandered over, they were not something these outer region Devil Cultivators could intercept and kill.

However, Wang Lin ultimately received a piece of news: within a million-li radius of this place, there were three major perilous lands. The Corpse Valley among these three perilous lands contained quite a few beast bones. Nearby Schools often went there if they needed beast bone Materials.

What was strange was that in the Corpse Valley, almost every once in a while, some newly deceased Spirit Beast carcasses would appear. Some of these Spirit Beasts were extremely powerful in life and could not possibly have come here, let alone why they would die in the Corpse Valley.

Fortunately, although this Corpse Valley was mysterious, as long as one did not enter the inner valley, there would generally be no danger.

As for the bone poison Sang Muya used against his Senior Brother, it was made from the spine of a creature called the Crow Black Beast, obtained from the Corpse Valley. After some research, Wang Lin discovered that this bone poison was only effective against Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivators, and its effect gradually weakened with deeper cultivation. Against a Foundation Establishment Late Stage Great Perfection Cultivator, it had almost no effect, let alone against a Core Formation Stage Cultivator.

Wang Lin's current target was precisely that Corpse Valley. Following the direction indicated by Sang Muya, he swiftly flew there.

Upon arriving outside the Corpse Valley, Wang Lin's gaze fell upon an unbroken stretch of underwater mountain ranges. These mountains varied in height, and where they connected, several large and small low-lying valleys appeared.

This was the Corpse Valley.

The mist here was not thick, merely light, so visibility was not greatly affected. However, as Wang Lin proceeded deeper, threads of an icy cold Qi emanated from within the valley, its quality entirely different from that outside.

Wang Lin immediately performed Hand Seals with his right hand, muttering incantations. Suddenly, crimson light dots condensed before him, eventually forming a white light orb. As soon as this white light orb appeared, its color immediately changed, ultimately turning blue.

Wang Lin's eyes flickered as he watched intently. This was a Spell specifically used to test the quality of extreme yin lands. Based on the color of the light orb, there were four types of light: purple, blue, silver, and red, each corresponding to the four great extreme yin lands of Heaven, Earth, Profound, and Yellow.

Now that the light orb's color had turned blue, it indicated that this place possessed a rare Earth Yin position.

Wang Lin took a deep breath, pointed forward with his hand, and the light orb immediately floated ahead. Wang Lin followed unhurriedly, observing the light orb's color while searching for beast bones.

Inside the Corpse Valley, Wang Lin's Divine Sense swept across, revealing several Cultivators. These Cultivators were all flying around, searching for beast bones. Even when they met, they merely nodded slightly before passing each other.

Wang Lin pondered for a moment. This Corpse Valley was not just one, but composed of countless large and small canyons. The deeper one went, the fewer Cultivators there were, and the more beast bones could be found.

After passing the ninth valley, the Spirit Beast carcasses on the ground gradually increased. Some were quite terrifying in size, actually occupying more than half of a valley.

Wang Lin was currently standing on a giant beast bone. After careful observation, he gave up on the idea of collecting it. Although this beast bone was large, it contained no Spiritual Qi at all, clearly not from a Spirit Beast, but merely large in size.

As he moved deeper into the inner valley, the light orb's color became increasingly intense. After the ninth valley, he could no longer see any Cultivators, and the beast bones on the ground gradually increased.

Wang Lin paused for a moment in the ninth valley. He cautiously observed his surroundings, spreading out his Divine Sense. He always had a feeling that this ninth valley was completely different from the previous eight. He couldn't quite explain what this difference was, but he always felt as if countless eyes had gathered upon him the moment he entered.

Wang Lin sneered inwardly. His extreme realm Divine Sense immediately swept out, and the gazes gathered on him instantly dissipated. The valley returned to its previous calm.

Wang Lin pondered for a moment, then unhurriedly collected beast bones. After making his selection, he walked towards the tenth valley… As Wang Lin passed the thirteenth valley, the light orb split into two with a 'snap'.

Wang Lin's expression was solemn. He knew this meant that the Earth Yin quality had surpassed ordinary tenth-grade and reached excellent first-grade. Chilling Qi emanated from the fourteenth valley, and Wang Lin's body felt subtly stiff.

Wang Lin looked around and sighed. This place was actually the best location for secluded cultivation, but it seemed calm yet was known as one of the three great perilous lands, so there must be dangers. Wang Lin dared not rashly cultivate here long-term. Even if the conditions were excellent, he would not choose this place until he fully understood it, or unless it was absolutely necessary.

He hesitated for a moment. He had already collected some beast bones along the way. Even if the effect wasn't too great, it should still somewhat increase the power of the Nine Departures Corpse Bone Array.

But to leave now, he felt a bit unwilling. However, looking from here towards the fourteenth valley, one could see its general appearance. This fourteenth valley was distinctly different from the previous thirteen. Its size alone was almost equivalent to the sum of the previous ones.

Furthermore, what made the fourteenth valley feel eerie was that almost no carcasses or beast bones could be seen. The ground was covered by a layer of shimmering blue frost, which looked quite mysterious.

Wang Lin looked from afar. This fourteenth valley was not the end of the Corpse Valley; it could only be said that he had just entered halfway. Wang Lin concentrated for a moment, then shook his head, intending to retreat.

Just as he was about to leave, a roar suddenly echoed from afar, and then a giant flood Dragon over a thousand zhang long suddenly emerged from the mist.

Wang Lin's expression changed, and he immediately retreated several steps, lightly tapping his foot and drilling into the ground, but his Divine Sense spread out, closely tracking the flood Dragon.

The massive body of the Dragon moved, and immediately, gusts of wind and thunder roared. In the blink of an eye, it flew across the thirteen valleys and into the fourteenth valley.

As the giant flood Dragon flew over Wang Lin, large amounts of fresh blood fell from the sky. Wang Lin looked up and saw a deep gash on the flood Dragon's abdomen, the length of which accounted for half of the Dragon's body length.

Wang Lin looked in the direction from which the giant flood Dragon had flown, and saw a trail of blood on the ground, indicating that the Dragon had never stopped bleeding during its flight.

The Dragon stopped above the fourteenth valley, a hint of indifference in its eyes. Seemingly disregarding its already blood-soaked body, it looked up at the sky and let out a final roar. With this roar, the surrounding air immediately transformed into waves of ripples, surging out in powerful circles, like raging waves stirred up in the sea, layer upon layer.

The beast bones in the other surrounding valleys immediately made cracking sounds, turning into bone ash and being lifted by the air current, continuing to be pushed outwards.

Even underground, Wang Lin could feel the ground being scraped away by three feet. His heart was extremely shocked; the strength of this Dragon was probably even greater than that of a Nascent Soul Stage Cultivator.

After the roar lasted for the time it takes an incense stick to burn, the Dragon's eyes dimmed. With its last trace of strength, it plunged from mid-air, shattering the blue frost on the ground, and burrowed in as if sinking into water.

At that instant, Wang Lin suddenly leaped out of the ground and, without hesitation, rushed forward. In a blink, he entered the fourteenth valley. While still in mid-air, he grabbed the tail of the Dragon, which was already largely submerged in the blue frost, and pulled it out fiercely.

With a series of 'kaka' sounds, the Dragon was forcibly dragged out of the ground by him. Wang Lin's heart pounded. Without a word, he carried the heavy Dragon corpse and swiftly flew out of the Corpse Valley.

The Dragon corpse was too heavy. Even with all of Wang Lin's Spiritual Qi activated, he could only barely carry it. He could even hear his bones making creaking sounds from the pressure, but compared to obtaining a freshly deceased Dragon corpse, Wang Lin completely disregarded this pain.

After shakily flying out of the valley, Wang Lin immediately saw the Cultivators outside who were collecting beast bones. Each of them had activated their defensive Magic Treasures and were staring dumbfounded at him in mid-air from behind their cover.

These Cultivators had clearly long been accustomed to things that could happen at any time in the valley, so the moment the giant flood Dragon flew over, they immediately scattered, activated all their defensive Spiritual Artifacts, and found sturdy cover. Even so, a portion of them were still affected and had their bodies shattered by the roar.

Those who survived, besides having a certain level of cultivation, also needed quick reactions and alert minds. These people were all those who habitually made their primary income by trading in the Corpse Valley.

However, even though they had been here for years and had seen some powerful Spirit Beasts fly in and sink into the valley, they had never in their lives seen anyone able to carry out a freshly deceased Spirit Beast.

Such a thing, let alone having seen it, they hadn't even heard of it, not to mention that the person was carrying a complete Dragon corpse.

A complete, uncorrupted Dragon corpse! At that instant, most Cultivators lost their rationality, their eyes gleaming with greedy red light.

Wang Lin could feel many gazes scrutinizing him. He snorted coldly, landed from mid-air with the Dragon corpse, and immediately activated Earth Evasion Art, sinking into the ground with the Dragon.

The moment he sank, his extreme realm Divine Sense flashed out, and all the Cultivators present, who were all below the Core Formation Stage, immediately fell to the ground dead.

The Dragon corpse was too large. Even though Wang Lin continuously drank large amounts of Spiritual Qi liquid, it was difficult for him to move quickly. He could only slowly carry the corpse and escape towards his Immortal Cave.
