Chapter 1282 Golden Staff
Upon entering the Lawrence Family's main hall, Feili first briefly introduced the situation, after which Ye Bufan began to apply acupuncture to George.
After the golden needles were removed, George felt much more comfortable.
"Dr. Ye, is there a way to completely cure my illness? If I have to ask you to perform acupuncture every day, it would be too much trouble."
"That's right, Dr. Ye, is there a way to lift our Family's curse?"
Feili was also full of anticipation. Although she was beautiful and had incredibly good conditions, she was destined to live alone in her current situation.
Ye Bufan said, "I have found a method, but it's a bit troublesome."
Hearing that there was indeed a way, George and his daughter were immediately overjoyed.
"Dr. Ye, please tell us what the method is. As long as our Lawrence Family can do it, we will spare no effort."
"Don't be in a hurry to hear it, I'll explain slowly," Ye Bufan said. "He who tied the bell must untie it. To lift your Family's curse, the best way is to find the spellcaster or his descendants."
"But our Family doesn't know what happened at all, nor do we know who cast this blood curse…"
Hearing this method, both of them looked bewildered.
"You don't know, but I do now…"
Ye Bufan recounted his encounter with Future yesterday from beginning to end, including how Saint Lawrence massacred the Tu Tribe, and how he was subjected to the blood curse cast by the Tu Tribe Saintess, explaining everything clearly.
After listening, George and Feili's mouths hung open in astonishment. They never imagined that their Family had such a secret history.
They knew about the massacre of the Tu Tribe back then, but they never thought that their revered ancestor would have done such a thing.
"This… how is this possible?"
George simply couldn't accept this news. If it weren't for the blood curse truly existing within him, he would have thought it was just a legend, a story.
After a long time, he finally calmed his agitated emotions.
"Dr. Ye, if this is truly the case, our Lawrence Family is willing to apologize to the Tu Tribe and atone for our sins."
Feili looked apologetic, "We are willing to do our utmost to compensate the Tu Tribe for their losses and atone for our ancestor's sins."
"Atonement is necessary. Currently, there are two main things: first, find the Tu Tribe's golden staff, and second, gain the forgiveness of the current Tu Tribe Saintess. Only then can your Lawrence Family be freed from the blood curse."
Ye Bufan then (This chapter is not finished, please turn the page) recounted his conversation with Future, finally saying, "If the Tu Tribe Saintess can accept my suggestion, I hope your Lawrence Family can return land and provide financial compensation to them."
"Dr. Ye, that's not a problem," George said sincerely. "To atone for our ancestor's sins, we are willing to do this, and we are capable of doing so.
Our Lawrence Family is currently not short of money, and we have a lot of land. As long as we can obtain their forgiveness, these are not issues."
Feili said with some concern, "But Dr. Ye, do you think the Tu Tribe can forgive us?"
After hearing Ye Bufan, even she felt that their ancestor's actions back then were truly despicable and excessive, causing immeasurable harm to the Tu Tribe.
If it were her, it would probably be very difficult to forgive the other party."
"I think there's still a good chance, after all, the Tu Tribe people are inherently kind, and their current tribesmen are facing difficulties. If they don't receive aid, they might even struggle to survive.
However, this is just my speculation for now; the specific situation will depend on Future's outcome."
George said with a solemn expression, "Dr. Ye, there's another big problem. Even if we can gain the Tu Tribe's forgiveness, where do we find the golden staff?"
"Is that so? Don't you know the whereabouts of the golden staff either?"
Ye Bufan was slightly surprised. Logically, since Saint Lawrence took the Tu Tribe's golden staff, he should have left it to his descendants. So why didn't George know where it was?
However, based on his observation, the other party was not lying, and there was no possibility of lying at this point.
Without finding the golden staff, there was no way to lift the blood curse.
"I don't know. I've never heard my ancestors mention this item," George shook his head. "And all important matters of our Lawrence Family are recorded in the Family genealogy, and there has never been any mention of the golden staff. In fact, this is the first time I've heard that name."
"This shouldn't be."
Ye Bufan frowned. Logically, Saint Lawrence would certainly not entrust such an important item to others; he would definitely keep it himself. And after his passing, he would certainly leave it to his descendants.
He thought for a moment and asked, "Where did Saint Lawrence live when he was alive? And where were the items he left behind after his death kept?"
George replied, "This ancient castle was passed down by our Lawrence Family ancestors and has never changed. Even when our ancestor served as the Grand Commander, he did not move from here.
As for our ancestor's relics, they are all uniformly preserved in the Family's storeroom."
Ye Bufan (This chapter is not finished, please turn the page) said, "Is it possible that it's hidden somewhere in your home that you don't know about?"
George shook his head, "That I'm not too sure about…"
"How about this, you take me around the house and see if we can find the golden staff."
The Lawrence Family was simply too large. Even with the current scanning range of Ye Bufan's Divine Sense, he couldn't cover the entire ancient castle.
"Alright, then I'll trouble Dr. Ye."
Although George didn't understand what Ye Bufan intended to do, the other party was currently the Family's only hope, and he completely obeyed his every word.
"Dr. Ye, I'll take you."
Feili said, leading Ye Bufan to tour the Lawrence Family's ancient castle.
They walked around for half an hour. Ye Bufan remained silent the entire time, constantly using his Divine Sense to thoroughly search every corner of the Family.
The Lawrence Family truly lived up to its name as a prominent Family with hundreds of years of history. There were many treasures in the house, but not the golden staff he had anticipated.
Although Ye Bufan had never seen this item, he was confident that with the aura of the blood curse and the fluctuations of magical power from Future, he would definitely be able to find it once he sensed it. However, in reality, he found not a single clue.
"Dr. Ye, why don't we go to the storeroom to take a look?"
Feili truly couldn't understand what he was doing. He wasn't entering any rooms, just walking around like this. How could he possibly find the golden staff?
Ye Bufan shook his head, "No need. I have a special ability; I can sense an item's aura once I get close to it.
I can now confirm that the golden staff is not in your ancient castle."
As they spoke, the two returned to the main hall. George asked with concern, "Dr. Ye, how is it? Any clues?"
"None." Ye Bufan's heart suddenly stirred. "That's right, given the situation back then, after losing the golden staff, the Tu Tribe would surely launch a furious counterattack. Your ancestor probably wouldn't have kept such an important item at home.
Think again, is there any other place, both safe and undiscoverable, suitable for hiding treasures?"
"This…"
George lowered his head and pondered for a long time. Suddenly, he looked up.
"Dr. Ye, among the Family's relics, there is a fragmented map. Because it's incomplete, no one knows what kind of map it is, nor can they understand what place is recorded on it.
If it weren't for it being an ancestor's relic, it would probably have been discarded long ago. Do you think it's possible that this map records the location where the golden staff is buried?"
