Chapter 1284: Caught in the Future
In the small courtyard, Future’s arm was held firmly by a large white man, and at the same time, a cold, gleaming dagger was pressed against her neck.
Opposite her stood a Young man of about 30, who, despite being dressed in designer clothes from head to toe, could not hide the lewdness in his expression.
“Hahaha, little girl, although I know you have some ability, you still can’t escape my grasp.
A mage, after all, needs time to prepare, and as long as my movements are fast enough, you won’t have any ability to resist.”
“Branco, you despicable villain, how dare you ambush our Saintess? Release her at once!”
Around the courtyard, Wood and others held firearms, pointing them directly at the Young man and the dozen or so bodyguards in black suits behind him.
It was a pity that even though these people were furious, they dared not make any move, as the Saintess was in their opponent’s hands.
“Branco, you damn guy, you hit me last time, and today I’m going to settle the score with you completely.”
Branco glanced disdainfully at the people around him. “Now I order you to put down your guns immediately, or else I’ll have someone disfigure this little girl’s face right now.”
Although Future was taken hostage, there was not much panic in her expression.
“Wood, don’t listen to this guy.”
She was very clear about the current situation; once they disarmed and surrendered, they would be at the mercy of others.
A look of struggle appeared on Wood’s face; at this point, he didn’t know how to choose.
“Oh, so you’re quite tough, huh?” Branco gave a cunning smile, then shouted to the large white man, “Karn, let this little girl bleed a bit, but don’t touch her face. Young Master still wants to play with her later.”
“Yes!”
The large white man named Karn agreed, raising the dagger in his hand, preparing to stab Future’s arm.
“Wait.”
Wood threw the firearm in his hand to the ground; he ultimately chose to yield.
As a warrior of the Tu Tribe, if that knife were to be plunged into his own body, he wouldn't even frown, but now that Future was in their opponent’s hands, he absolutely could not let the Saintess suffer any harm.
The reason the Saintess was ambushed by the opponent, in his opinion, was due to his own inadequate protection, and his heart was filled with guilt and self-reproach.
“That’s right.”
Branco smiled triumphantly, “And those people behind you, all of you obediently throw away your guns for Young Master.”
Wood turned back and waved his hand: “Brothers, throw away your guns.”
Upon receiving the order, those Tu Tribe people did not hesitate, throwing their guns to the ground one after another.

“Not bad, you people are quite loyal.”
Branco walked over with a sinister smile, then his expression suddenly changed, and he savagely punched Wood in the face.
The punch was heavy and vicious, directly sending Wood flying seven or eight meters, and blood instantly spurted from his nose and mouth.
“You bastard, I wanted to play with this little girl last time, and you dared to lay a hand on me. Today, I’m going to cripple you for sure.”
After Branco finished speaking, he stepped towards Wood again.
Wood’s eyes were filled with rage, but with the Saintess in the opponent’s hands, he dared not resist in the slightest.
“Branco, you bastard, stop it!”
Future roared furiously.
“Little girl, don’t worry, Young Master will have a good time with you later.”
Branco revealed a hint of madness, sticking out his tongue and licking his lips, “It’s been a long time since I’ve played with such a pure little girl like you.”
Wood roared angrily: “Damn it, if you dare to lay a finger on the Saintess, I won’t let you off even if I become a ghost.”
“Is that so? Then wait until you become a ghost, and we’ll see if you have the ability.”
Branco finished speaking and extended a hand, and a bodyguard immediately handed him a baseball bat.
“Kid, you’re just a dog slave, and you dare to challenge Young Master. Let’s see how long you can hold out.
Oh, and don’t dodge, if you dodge, that little girl will suffer.”
After uttering a despicable threat, Branco’s face was twisted in a savage grin, and he swung the baseball bat in his hand, smashing it fiercely towards Wood’s arm.
“No!”
Future wanted to struggle, to stop him, but she was held firmly by Karn, unable to exert any strength, and she couldn't even commit suicide.
With a crack, as the bone-chilling sound of bone breaking echoed, Wood’s arm was brutally broken into two by Branco.
However, he was indeed tough; although his arm was broken, he didn't even frown, nor did he make a sound, as if it wasn't his arm that was being hit.
“Oh, you dog, you’re quite tough. Let’s see how long you can stay tough.”
Branco showed no intention of stopping, raising the baseball bat in his hand once more, and with another crack, he broke the other arm, then the left leg, and the right leg.
“Wood, run! Don’t mind me!”
Future’s eyes were bloodshot with heartache, tears streaming down her face, but she was completely restrained, utterly helpless.
She wanted to cast a spell to kill these guys in front of her, but Karn was very experienced in dealing with spellcasters.

As soon as she started, she was interrupted, unable to use a complete spell.
“What are you still standing there for? Do you really want Young Master to do it himself? Cripple all those guys for me!”
Branco was not satisfied with the current situation, and with a wave of his hand, the bodyguards behind him immediately rushed towards the other Tu Tribe people.
Those people, like Wood, had endless loyalty to the Saintess and were fearless of death. Although they were beaten and bruised, they did not resist in the slightest.
“Stop it, you bastard, stop it at once!”
Seeing her own tribesmen being harmed while she could do nothing, Future’s eyes filled with despair.
And just then, the man’s words flashed through her mind.
“As the Saintess, your greater responsibility should be to allow your tribesmen to live good lives, not to live perpetually in hatred.”
At this moment, Future regretted it. That man was right; she shouldn’t have been so stubborn. Hatred couldn’t help her tribesmen; it could only cause the Tu Tribe to decline further, until it perished.
A hint of madness flashed across Branco’s face as he stomped on Wood’s chest: “You damned people, you don’t even make a sound when you’re beaten. How can that be satisfying?
Scream! Hurry up and scream like a dog for Young Master!”
This guy was a bit neurotic, looking more like a madman.
“Bah! We Tu Tribe people are not cowards, you wish!”
Although Wood’s limbs were broken, he showed no intention of yielding, and with a splutter, he spat a mouthful of blood onto Branco’s face.
“You bastard, then you can just die.”
Branco wiped the blood from his face, his eyes filled with cruel murderous intent.
He grabbed Wood by the collar, lifted him high, then kicked him in the chest with a flying kick.
With a dull thud, Wood was kicked more than ten meters away, completely losing control of his body in mid-air, and slammed headfirst into a nearby boulder.
Given his current physical condition, if his head hit it, it would instantly turn into a smashed watermelon.
“Hahaha, die!”
Branco laughed maniacally, looking forward to seeing the scene of Wood’s brains splattering.
And just then, a figure flashed, and a Young man appeared in front of Wood, catching him with one hand and gently placing him on the ground nearby.
Feeling that he wasn't dead, Wood opened his eyes. After seeing Dr. Ye, he was stunned for a moment, then shouted, “Dr. Ye, why are you here? Hurry and leave, that guy is a madman.”
