Chapter 13 Believer Status: Ancient Humans

"This is a common misconception among newcomers, thinking that with just a copy of the Federal Body Refining Technique, every believer can become like a dragon?

In a few more years, your Divine Kingdom will have a population of hundreds of thousands or even millions; surely not everyone can cultivate every day without engaging in production?

Humans are intelligent creatures; they know how to use tools, allocate resources, perform their respective duties, and will subconsciously divide themselves into social classes.

You only need to issue a divine oracle for them to sow seeds; you don't even need to assign tasks. Their internal system will naturally make those without talent or strength handle these administrative chores.

Ninety percent of the believers in a Divine Kingdom are consumables. Their role is twofold: to engage in production to keep the Divine Kingdom running, and to earn Faith Points for us.

Another five percent are talented experts who might later break through to become Rank One, Rank Two, or even higher-order lifeforms through cultivation.

The remaining five percent will become even stronger and live longer lives, helping us manage the entire Divine Kingdom.

Just like in the real world, the population will reproduce, classes will shift, and survival of the fittest will allow this civilization to climb upward bit by bit.

If you intervene too much and make all of them work hard at cultivation, you're actually destroying this system. Perhaps your believers will become stronger in the short term, but that's only because you've been spending Faith Points to sustain this system. Once external blood transfusions stop, the system will collapse even faster."

After listening to Zhang Wanshan's explanation, a look of realization appeared on Yang Fan's face.

In the past few days, the consumption of Faith Points had indeed been increasing. Those elderly, weak, women, and children who couldn't obtain food should perhaps be allowed to die naturally.

This was the survival of the fittest in the biological chain; as a god, he shouldn't interfere in such trivial matters.

Zhang Wanshan took a sip of wine and continued enthusiastically, "These are all minor issues. If you can break through to become Demigods in the future, you can even sign agreements with other Divine Creatures to have them grow food and gather resources for you.

If you're strong enough, you can even conquer someone else's Divine Kingdom and treat the entire place as your granary."

"Treating someone else's Divine Kingdom as a granary? Is that legal?" Yang Fan swallowed hard.

"One of my classmates is a Rank One God, and I'm currently his Subordinate God. He's the one who told me this.

This world is like a giant arena where different Divine Kingdoms can wage war against each other. At any moment, tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of believers can be wiped out, and the core of a Divine Kingdom can be plundered.

As Divine Creatures, we only feel that those Demigods and Gods are high and mighty, but once you actually reach that level, you have to face even greater cruelty.

This is all too distant for you. At least before you graduate from university, you don't have to worry about anyone invading your Divine Kingdom."

Zhang Wanshan was quite knowledgeable and told Yang Fan and Zhang Pang many stories about Demigods and even Gods, which both of them listened to with great interest.

After returning home, Yang Fan immediately searched for cereal crops in the mall.

"Corn Seeds × 500,000, price: 300 Faith Points. Drought-resistant, wind-resistant, extremely high yield, strong satiety effect, no planting requirements.

Vegetable Seeds × 500,000, price: 500 Faith Points. No planting requirements.

Spirit Rice Seeds × 5,000, price: 50,000 Faith Points. The Divine Kingdom must possess spiritual energy and spiritual soil, and there must be believers who are Spirit Planters to cultivate them.

Yang Fan directly chose the cheapest corn and vegetable seeds, then introduced them into the Divine Kingdom and issued a divine oracle.

Following Zhang Wanshan's guidance, Yang Fan did not intend to interfere too much in the life paths of his believers anymore.

If he continued to buy food to feed them, the population would likely keep increasing. Eventually, the Divine Kingdom wouldn't be able to support them, leading to mass deaths or even plagues, which would be counterproductive.

With a new food source, the tribe's consumption of meat finally stopped being so excessive, and the ecology began to balance out.

In the ninth decade, the population reached 110,000. Even with the boost from the Breeding Card, the tribe no longer expanded frantically, mainly due to environmental constraints; the population density was now too high and reaching saturation.

To continue growing the population, they would need to undertake massive construction projects to expand their settlements outward.

In the hundredth year, the effect of the Breeding Card officially wore off.

Yang Fan's consciousness entered the Divine Kingdom.

Now, his believers had developed from a small tribe into something resembling a town.

God's Revelation City stood in the exact center of the Divine Kingdom. Due to the moon well and the sun spring, the aura of life was very dense.

The four cities of Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Black Tortoise, and Vermilion Bird were situated in the east, west, north, and south, respectively.

Snake Valley in the south was now filled with Bodhi Treasure Snakes; because the density was so high, the snake swarms were even beginning to spread outward.

Dark Night Vultures frequently appeared in the sky, looking for an opportunity to strike.

Various flora and fauna filled the mountains, and the roars of beasts echoed one after another.

The current Divine Kingdom had diverse species and a stable ecology. The believer population had also reached saturation.

Next, using the Federal Body Refining Technique as a foundation, he would rely on time and resources to strengthen the believers.

The death, reproduction, and cultivation of the believers slowly pushed the entire civilization forward.

"God Lord: Yang Fan

SSS-rank Talent Evolution (Unique talent, can accelerate Divine Kingdom evolution, currently hidden.)

Faith Points: 1,070,988 (Daily Faith Points provided: 0.55)

Assets: Bodhi Treasure Snake (× 27,233, Rank One Demonic Beast), Dark Night Vulture (× 1,345, Rank One Demonic Beast), water lotus (× 21,000, F-rank Spirit Plant), soul nourishing wood (Century-old) (× 1,000, C-rank Spirit Plant)"

After a hundred years of development and various resource investments, not only had the believer population reached 110,000, but their status had also evolved from Barbarians to Ancient Humans.

When a Divine Kingdom is first awakened, everyone's believers have the status of Barbarians.

As civilization evolves, with stable food, safe dwellings, city structures, the ability to pass down knowledge, and strength breaking through the limits of Barbarians, their status evolves into Ancient Humans.

After Ancient Humans come Mortals.

By then, the believers' intelligence will have fully developed, forming a small human society with division of labor, trade of goods, and even schools to teach techniques.

Once the believers develop into Mortals, the Divine Kingdom will tend toward stability. They will slowly form a social system, avoid over-exploiting resources, and allow the entire Divine Kingdom to develop healthily.

Further on, a tiny minority of believers will break through in strength to become Rank One lifeforms.

As for the direction, it varies wildly. They might enter the Dao through martial arts to become Martial Artists; or practice Qi to become Cultivators; or even undergo mechanical ascension to become Intelligent Lifeforms.

Only when believers move beyond the realm of Mortals can Divine Creatures begin the transformation into Demigods.

That was still too far off for the current Yang Fan. Right now, none of his believers had even reached the Minor Achievement stage in the Federal Body Refining Technique.

However, with the Evolution Talent, as believers developed over generations through survival of the fittest and genetic selection, descendants with good natural talent would eventually be born. Yang Fan was in no hurry.
