Chapter 130: Let’s Call It Nanhe Coffee

"She is an employee at my company, but we are also friends in private," Chen Mo replied.

He hadn't originally intended to call Tang Qiu over; he only wanted to inquire about the specific procedures for opening a shop and what formalities were required.

However, after hearing his inquiry, Tang Qiu immediately suggested coming over to discuss it in person.

Song Xia was somewhat amazed upon hearing this; she didn't know how big Chen Mo's Garment factory was to actually have a lawyer on retainer.

While thinking this, she unlocked the door to the milk tea shop.

Chen Mo followed her inside, and the two began to wait.

About half an hour later, a tall woman wearing a black trench coat and sunglasses stopped at the entrance of the milk tea shop.

Tang Qiu glanced at the Huohuo Milk Tea sign, realized she hadn't come to the wrong place, and walked straight in.

"Attorney Tang, sorry to trouble you this time," Chen Mo said, looking at Tang Qiu as she entered, with a hint of gratitude.

"It's no trouble. Otherwise, I'd be quite bored at home," Tang Qiu said with a sigh.

Ever since she joined Chen Mo's company, she had been in a state of having nothing to do.

Aside from the legal education promotions Chen Mo arranged for her, she had no other work.

Today, since he finally had something to ask her, she naturally wanted to be proactive.

"Please, have a seat."

Chen Mo led Tang Qiu to a seat, pointed to Song Xia, and introduced her.

"This is Song Xia, my sister-in-law's younger sister."

"This is Tang Qiu, Attorney Tang."

After Chen Mo finished the introductions, the two women sized each other up and then exchanged greetings.

"Mr. Chen, could you explain the specific details in more depth?" Tang Qiu asked, looking at Chen Mo.

She hadn't gotten the full picture over the phone.

Upon hearing this, Chen Mo explained his plans in full.

"Mr. Chen, you want to open a coffee shop?" Tang Qiu asked, surprised after listening to Chen Mo's explanation.

She knew that Chen Mo already owned a Garment factory and a gaming company, and now he was choosing to open a coffee shop.

This was quite a leap in industries.

None of the three companies were related.

"Yes," Chen Mo nodded.

Tang Qiu took a breath; she really couldn't fathom how Mr. Chen chose his industries.

But fortunately, this time, he wasn't acquiring a loss-making company.

After thinking for a moment, she detailed the entire process of opening a shop and the necessary permits required.

"That's about it, Mr. Chen. How about this: I'll go handle these things tomorrow and get them all sorted out," Tang Qiu proposed.

Tomorrow was the official start of work for the company, but for her, it made no difference; she was still working from home with nothing to do.

It was a perfect opportunity to take on this task so she wouldn't have to stay home bored.

However, to her surprise, before Chen Mo could speak, Song Xia spoke up first.

"I've noted down these procedures. As the future manager of the coffee shop, leave this matter to me."

"Sister Song Xia, these matters are quite troublesome. It's better if I handle them."

"Let's not trouble Big Sister Tang. I'm sure Big Sister Tang has a lot of things to keep busy with at work tomorrow."

Chen Mo looked at Tang Qiu, then at Song Xia. Seeing that neither was willing to back down, he was speechless.

Why were they fighting over a task? He thought for a moment and said:

"How about you both handle this together tomorrow?"

"I have no problem with that."

Tang Qiu nodded first. She mainly felt that since she was drawing a salary but staying home every day, it was really quite uncomfortable.

As for whether she handled it alone or with someone else, she didn't care.

"I don't have a problem with it either, I'm just worried it might delay Big Sister Tang's own work," Song Xia said softly.

"Good, then it's settled. You two go together tomorrow."

Chen Mo decided the matter directly, then turned to look at Song Xia.

"Song Xia, do you have the phone number of the coffee shop owner next door?"

"Yes, I do?"

"Then help me make a call and ask if their shop is up for sublease."

"You want to rent the shop next door too?" Song Xia immediately understood Chen Mo's intention.

"Yes. The most critical thing for a coffee shop is the environment. One storefront is too small to create a good atmosphere," Chen Mo nodded.

Since he was planning to lose money, he might as well do it on a large scale. After all, Song Xia's small shop of over 80 square meters couldn't consume much System Funds.

Furthermore, he had tapped the wall earlier, and the wall between the two shops wasn't a load-bearing wall.

During renovation, he could open a circular archway in the middle of the wall to connect the two shops directly.

"That shop is quite large, nearly 140 square meters, and the rent is over 100,000 yuan a year," Song Xia reminded him.

If they rented both shops, counting her 80-plus square meters with a 60,000 yuan rent, that would be nearly 200,000 yuan in rent a year.

This investment was a bit large, wasn't it?

"No matter. If you want to run a coffee shop well, you can't avoid initial investment."

Chen Mo waved his hand dismissively. If he hadn't learned from Song Xia that the shops in this pedestrian street were only for rent and not for sale, he would have wanted to buy them outright.

However, when opening the second coffee shop, he could look for a storefront that could be purchased directly.

That way, he could spend a large sum of money all at once.

Tang Qiu, standing to the side, watched Song Xia's shocked expression and smiled slightly.

This rent of over 100,000 yuan was nothing to Mr. Chen.

During the last gathering, the cost of the red wine alone was over 200,000 yuan.

"Then I'll contact them."

Song Xia opened her phone, found the phone number of the coffee shop owner next door, and called.

She quickly received a reply that it was still available for sublease.

The sublease contract could be signed tomorrow.

Chen Mo simply handed this matter over to both Tang Qiu and Song Xia to handle together.

After all, he would be very busy at work tomorrow.

The transformation of the Garment factory could officially begin tomorrow.

After the transformation, the scope of the sales staff's duties would also have to change.

Furthermore, creating their own clothing brand would definitely require their own fashion designers, as well as the issue of renovating the new factory.

Then there was Cangxue Games, and he didn't know how much revenue they had generated during the holiday period.

He hoped it wasn't too much.

Also, it was already the beginning of the month, and because of the holiday, the October salaries hadn't been paid yet.

But this time, he had so much System Funds.

He planned to adjust the employees' salaries and benefits upward; the more he could consume in System Funds, the better.

However, all these things required him to personally issue orders and make arrangements.

Thinking about the busy day ahead tomorrow, Chen Mo felt a headache coming on.

Why? He just wanted to make the company lose money, how could he be so busy?

"By the way, Mr. Chen, what should we name the coffee shop?"

Tang Qiu suddenly remembered that she didn't know the name of the coffee shop yet, and it was needed for the paperwork tomorrow.

A name? He had to pick a name with a good meaning.

Chen Mo thought for a moment and suddenly thought of a good name.

"Let's call it Nanhe Coffee."
