Chapter 130: Old Acquaintances, New Matters

Su Yun released Elder Han Yue, his gaze passing over her to look outside the courtyard.

Liu Wugou stood there, dressed in a dark red long dress, her brows and eyes still carrying that bewitching allure.

Behind her stood Zhao Lanxin, Lin Waner, Murong Xue, Ling Shuang, Yin Hongyao, and dozens of female Disciples brought from Qingyou Valley.

He walked over.

Liu Wugou was the first to pounce forward, hanging onto him entirely.

"Master, this subordinate has missed you to death."

Su Yun caught her and patted her back. This woman was still the same, not changed a bit.

Zhao Lanxin stood to the side, her small hands clutching the hem of her clothes, her eyes red, yet she dared not step forward.

Su Yun released Liu Wugou, walked in front of her, and reached out to ruffle her hair.

"You've come."

Zhao Lanxin nodded vigorously, and tears finally fell.

She threw herself into his embrace, burying her face in his chest, her shoulders heaving.

Su Yun held her without speaking.

This little mute girl had been following him ever since his Transmigration to that small village.

Elder Han Yue was his Dao Companion, Liu Wugou was a later arrival, and Murong Xue, Ling Shuang, and Yin Hongyao were also later arrivals.

Only Zhao Lanxin was the first.

Matters of the heart cannot be measured by the level of cultivation.

Zhao Lanxin was only at the Peak Qi Refining Stage, not even having reached Foundation Establishment, yet she was his first.

After holding her for a long time, Zhao Lanxin finally let go.

She looked up, her eyes red, yet she was smiling.

She made a few gestures.

Su Yun understood; she was saying, "I brought new clothes for Brother Su."

He smiled. "I'll try them on later."

Lin Waner stepped forward and bowed respectfully.

"Master."

Su Yun looked at her.

That little girl who was knocked unconscious at the village entrance back then was now a Cultivator at the Mid-stage Foundation Establishment.

The Legacy of True Monarch Bingpo had fully merged within her; a faint chill lingered around her, and her temperament was much steadier than before.

"Not bad, you've improved quickly." Su Yun nodded.

Lin Waner's face flushed slightly. "This Disciple dares not be slack."

Murong Xue, Ling Shuang, and Yin Hongyao also stepped forward to bow in turn.

Murong Xue still possessed that stunning beauty, and the aura of her Jade Bone Charm Body was much more restrained.

Ling Shuang wore a dark grey martial outfit, her heroic spirit compelling; her variant Lightning Spirit Root made her stand out among this batch of Disciples from Qingyou Valley.

Yin Hongyao wore a dark red long dress, her eyes lively, occasionally stealing glances at Su Yun.

Su Yun looked at each of them, feeling moved in his heart.

In just a few months, these people had become stronger.

He looked at Liu Wugou. "What is the situation in the valley now?"

Liu Wugou said, "Everything is normal. Ye Qinghan is overseeing Qingyou Valley, with Blood Maiden and the Blood Lotus Saintess assisting."

"There are currently over eighty Disciples at the Foundation Establishment Stage and over three hundred at the Qi Refinement Stage in the valley."

"The fifty brought this time are all at the Golden Core Stage; they are the first batch of elite forces cultivated by the valley."

Su Yun raised an eyebrow. Fifty Golden Core Cultivators. The development speed of Qingyou Valley was faster than he had anticipated.

"Where is Elder Han Yue?" he asked.

Liu Wugou paused for a moment, then looked at Elder Han Yue behind her.

Elder Han Yue stepped forward, her expression calm. "My cultivation is too low to be of help to my husband, so I can only help manage affairs in the valley."

Su Yun looked at her. Mid-stage Foundation Establishment.

It was not low among that group in Qingyou Valley, but among the people currently around him, it was indeed not enough.

Valley Master Su Yao was at the Peak Nascent Soul Stage, Fairy Jianyun was at the Late Nascent Soul Stage, Zhou Yuanshuang was at the Early Nascent Soul Stage, and even Hu Meiniang was at the Peak Golden Core Stage.

At the Mid-stage Foundation Establishment, she wasn't even qualified to stand guard.

But she was his Dao Companion.

Back at the Zhengyi Sect, she was the Dao Companion declared to the outside world to silence those Elders.

He had always kept this title.

Su Yun nodded. "Go rest first. We'll talk tomorrow."

Elder Han Yue agreed and turned to leave.

After walking a few steps, she turned back to look at Su Yun.

Su Yun was lowering his head talking to Zhao Lanxin and didn't notice her gaze.

She retracted her gaze and continued walking forward.

Liu Wugou leaned close to Su Yun and lowered her voice. "Master, Sister Elder Han Yue has been talking about you every day for these past few months. If you have time, spend more time with her."

Su Yun looked at her. "And you?"

Liu Wugou blushed. "This subordinate also misses Master."

Su Yun smiled. "Come over tonight."

Liu Wugou's eyes lit up, and she nodded vigorously.

That night, Su Yun went to see Zhao Lanxin first.

The little girl was staying in a side room, sitting on the edge of the bed, holding a neatly folded robe in her hands.

Seeing him enter, she hurriedly stood up and handed him the robe.

Su Yun took it. It was moon-white fabric, soft and smooth, with light silver cloud patterns embroidered on the collar and cuffs.

The stitching was fine, and the workmanship was exquisite—even better than the last one.

He tried it on, and the size was just right.

"Your craftsmanship has improved again," he said.

Zhao Lanxin's eyes sparkled, and she made gestures. "As long as Brother Su likes it."

Su Yun pulled her into his embrace. "I like it."

Zhao Lanxin buried her face in his chest, her small hands clutching his lapels.

She had a faint scent of soap on her, and her hair spread softly over her shoulders.

Su Yun held her, feeling very calm in his heart.

After a long time, Zhao Lanxin looked up, blushing as she made gestures.

Su Yun understood this meant he should go find other women first, and he smiled.

"No rush."

Zhao Lanxin shook her head and pushed him toward the outside.

Su Yun was pushed to the door by her, and he lowered his head to kiss her forehead.

"Then I will come tomorrow."

Zhao Lanxin blushed and nodded vigorously.

Su Yun walked out of the side room and went to Liu Wugou's place.

This woman had been waiting for a long time, and the moment she saw him, she pounced on him.

The next morning, Su Yun came out of Liu Wugou's room, feeling refreshed.

Liu Wugou was still asleep; she had been quite exhausted last night.

He sat down in the courtyard, and Shen Ying brought breakfast.

He had just eaten a few bites when Hu Meiniang walked in from outside.

"Master, Zi Wuji has arrived."

Su Yun put down the bowl. "Let her in."

Zi Wuji walked into the courtyard, followed by a young woman.

The woman was in her early twenties, wearing a purple long dress, with a cold appearance and a hint of arrogance between her brows.

Zi Ling. Su Yun's other "Dao Companion," Zi Wuji's daughter.

Zi Wuji sat down opposite Su Yun, and Zi Ling stood behind her.

"Su Yun, I heard people have come from the Southern Region?" Zi Wuji got straight to the point.

Su Yun nodded.

"My people."

Zi Wuji looked at him. "I heard you have a Dao Companion in the Southern Region named Elder Han Yue?"

Su Yun nodded.

Zi Wuji was silent for a moment.

"Then what about my daughter? How do you plan to arrange things for her?"

Su Yun looked at Zi Ling. She stood there, her expression calm, showing neither joy nor anger.

"If Zi Ling is willing to stay, she can stay; if not, she can return to the Purple Mansion. I will not force her."

Zi Wuji frowned.

"You married her, so she is your person. What do you mean by not forcing her?"

Su Yun said calmly, "I have married many people. Elder Han Yue is a Dao Companion, Zhao Lanxin was the first, and Liu Wugou was a later arrival. Zi Ling knows her own place in the order."

Zi Wuji's expression changed.

"You!"

Zi Ling spoke up.

"Mother, that's enough."

Zi Wuji looked at her daughter. Zi Ling stepped forward and looked at Su Yun.

"I am willing to stay, not because of the title, but because I can become stronger by following you."

Su Yun looked at her. Early Nascent Soul Stage; her talent was indeed good.

"Then stay."

Zi Ling nodded and stepped aside.

Zi Wuji took a deep breath and stood up. "Fine. Since she is willing herself, I won't interfere."

She turned to leave, then stopped at the doorway.

"Su Yun, if you bully my daughter, I won't let you off."

Su Yun smiled.

"Rest assured. I never bully my own people."

Zi Wuji snorted coldly and strode away.

Zi Ling stood in place, her face slightly flushed.

Su Yun looked at her.

"Go rest. I will call you if there is anything."

Zi Ling nodded and turned to leave.

The courtyard became quiet again.

Su Yun picked up the bowl and continued drinking his porridge.

Sunlight spilled down, shining on him.

A new day had begun.
