Chapter 1307

Lin Moyu was somewhat surprised; he had been avoiding the light spots all along and had not made contact with them.

No one knew what would happen upon contact, so it was best to be cautious in all things.

Now that he had been forced into his first contact, he discovered that the light spots passed through his soul body without stopping and caused no harm.

"This isn't right!"

Amidst his surprise, Lin Moyu vaguely felt that something was amiss, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

The soul is very sensitive in its perception; if there were any harm, he would certainly be able to feel it.

Unable to figure it out for the moment, Lin Moyu could only continue moving forward.

Now, he could not choose to abandon this mission based on groundless speculation; that was not his style.

Together with countless light spots, he advanced deeper into the dreamlike world.

The light spots gathered from all directions, increasing in number until they almost filled the space.

By now, relying solely on caution was useless; unless Lin Moyu chose to retreat, he would inevitably come into contact with a large number of light spots.

These light spots appeared to have no harmful effects at all. Lin Moyu reached out to grasp them, only to discover that they were impossible to touch.

The light spots would pass through his palm and fly out the other side.

In front of the light spots, his soul body seemed as if it didn't exist; the two seemed not to be in the same space-time at all. This feeling was too bizarre.

After repeatedly confirming that the light spots indeed caused no harm to his soul body, Lin Moyu joined the flow of light spots.

However, he remained cautious and continued to avoid contact with too many light spots as much as possible.

The light spots constantly passed through his soul, yet his soul still felt nothing at all.

Unknowingly, Lin Moyu had already traveled a considerable distance, and the number of times the light spots had passed in and out had long since exceeded a thousand.

Lin Moyu's eyes revealed a hint of confusion, losing some of their luster.

Yet, Lin Moyu himself seemed not to notice.

Unconsciously, he gradually relaxed his vigilance, no longer being so careful, and no longer avoiding the light spots.

The number of light spots he made contact with suddenly increased significantly compared to before.

The luster in Lin Moyu's eyes was slowly fading; the spark of intelligence vanished, replaced by a blank stare.

Yet, he remained completely unaware of all these changes.

He had absolutely no realization that he was approaching danger.

Suddenly, the scepter of calamity bloomed with an earthy yellow light; the light, like flowing water, swept over his soul body.

The soul gem on the scepter of calamity shone brightly, expelling all the light spots from within his soul body.

Lin Moyu jolted awake, his eyes regaining their spark, faintly revealing terror.

"That was close!"

At this moment, he felt a lingering fear. He looked up at the sky, watching the seemingly unchanging deep blue light mass.

His physical body had been inside the deep blue light mass all along, maintaining a connection with his soul.

But now, this connection had weakened significantly, to less than half of what it was before.

He finally understood that while the light spots passing through his soul indeed caused no harm,

they would weaken the connection between him and his physical body.

When the connection was completely severed, he would lose contact with his physical body entirely; at that point, he would be unable to return to his body, and his soul would be completely lost in this world.

Each light spot only weakened it by a tiny, negligible amount.

Only when thousands upon thousands of light spots accumulated together would a qualitative change occur.

It was like boiling a frog in warm water; by the time the frog realized it, it was already too late.

However, Lin Moyu also knew that he would not reach that point.

Even without the warning from the scepter of calamity, as long as the connection between his soul and physical body weakened a bit more, his soul would be able to issue an active warning.

At most, it would be a bit troublesome, but he certainly wouldn't die.

After all, his soul had already reached the Fifth Rank and was extremely powerful.

If it were a weaker God Venerable Realm cultivator whose will was not firm enough and whose soul was not strong enough, they might truly be in trouble.

"It seems that the God Venerable Realm cultivators who fell inside previously did so because they came into contact with too many light spots, and the connection between their souls and physical bodies was severed."

"Having lost contact, they could no longer find their physical bodies and could not escape this world, eventually getting lost inside."

Thinking of this, Lin Moyu suddenly realized something.

"Is there a possibility that they aren't actually dead, but merely lost inside?"

"If that's the case, if I can find them, perhaps I can even bring them out."

"For those in the God Venerable Realm, as long as the soul remains, it does not count as falling."

Chapter 1468: Why did the Yu Family come here?

The soul gem bloomed with an earthy yellow light, as if putting a suit of armor on Lin Moyu, enveloping his entire body.

When he first obtained the soul gem, it had once enhanced his soul's defensive power.

But that defensive enhancement was more like a passive defense and could not block the light spots.

Now, the soul gem had actively activated, forming a more powerful defensive layer to block the light spots.

Without the interference of the light spots, the connection between his soul and physical body gradually recovered, and it wouldn't take long to return to its previous state.

He once again followed the direction of the light spots, continuing to advance deeper.

Even the weakest God Venerable Realm cultivator could not get lost here.

They must have entered a deeper region and then were unable to return.

The light spots were still increasing, but they no longer posed any threat to him.

The scenery on the ground kept changing, with flowers, grass, and patches of ponds, looking very harmonious.

But Lin Moyu never encountered any small insects again; this point also made Lin Moyu feel strange.

If the small insects were one of the dangerous points in this world, why did he encounter three at the beginning, and then they never appeared again?

Lin Moyu had experienced so many Dungeons and secret realms, all kinds of strange places, and his intuition told him that this was very abnormal.

When things are abnormal, there must be a demon; there must be a reason for it.

He became increasingly vigilant in his heart; even with the protection of the soul gem, it still couldn't guarantee one hundred percent safety.

Gusts of wind blew in, and in his line of sight, he saw a deep blue wind tunnel.

All the light spots were swept into the wind tunnel, flying rapidly toward the front.

Lin Moyu's first reaction was not to enter the wind tunnel, but to move along the edge of the wind tunnel.

But he discovered that he simply could not move along the direction of the wind tunnel.

There was an invisible wall blocking his path.

It seemed that only by passing through the wind tunnel could he cross the invisible wall and continue moving forward.

"It's a pity that I cannot summon the Buddha Kingdom Lich here, nor can I use the Truth-Peering Technique!"

All techniques were unusable at this moment; even the Undead Law was restricted, let alone the Truth-Peering Technique.

Without being able to use the Truth-Peering Technique, he could not foresee danger.

"Should I enter or not?"

Turning back now would mean the mission failed. He had already walked this far; it was impossible to just give up like this.

After pondering for a few seconds, Lin Moyu resolutely entered the wind tunnel.

The wind tunnel carried a suction force, dragging him forward.

A large number of light spots collided with his body, only to be deflected by the earthy yellow light.

If not for the protection of the soul gem, these light spots would have passed through his body at this very moment.

"This place is very dangerous!"

Lin Moyu felt a shiver in his heart; the light spots in the wind tunnel were far more numerous than outside.

Being passed through by so many light spots in a short time, the connection between his soul and physical body would be drastically weakened.

Moreover, inside the wind tunnel, the soul could hardly put up any resistance and could only continue to move forward along the tunnel.

He didn't know when the wind tunnel would reach its end. If it lasted a bit longer, he feared that before he even left the wind tunnel, the connection between his soul and physical body would be severed.

Once the connection was severed, Lin Moyu guessed that his soul would be unable to return and would be completely lost here.

Inside the wind tunnel, Lin Moyu went with the flow, thinking about the true purpose of the Yu Family coming here.

"The battlefield records didn't mention at all that there was anything here, nor did they say what benefits could be gained."

"Does the Yu Family know something, which is why they sent people in, and even brought such a precious soul treasure inside?"

"What exactly is the Yu Family here for?"

While pondering, Lin Moyu kept count.

When he counted to 1000, he was finally flung out of the wind tunnel.

His soul flew in the air, and Lin Moyu managed to steady himself with great difficulty.

In approximately 1000 seconds, he would come into contact with countless light spots; an ordinary God Venerable Realm cultivator would absolutely not be able to hold on.

After leaving the wind tunnel, Lin Moyu remained motionless, observing his surroundings.

He had entered an entirely new space, and the surrounding environment had changed drastically.

First of all, the deep blue light mass above his head was gone, but the connection with his physical body still existed.

If he wanted to return to his physical body, he had to follow the wind tunnel back to the previous area.

All around were cliffs that reached heights unseen, and it felt as if he was surrounded in the middle of these cliffs.

Waterfalls cascaded down from the tops of the cliffs, falling onto the ground without a sound.

The light spots that had flown out of the wind tunnel with him now all flew into the bottom of the cliffs and vanished.

At the bottom of the cliffs, there was a layer of hazy mist that blocked his vision.

Upon seeing the waterfalls, an urge to go over and take a drink or bathe in them sprouted within his soul once again.

This strange thought was immediately extinguished by Lin Moyu.

Lin Moyu's will became incomparably firm and calm; any thought that did not belong to him would not be allowed to influence him.

The mist below gave him a bad feeling; if he went down, perhaps something bad would happen.

His soul slowly ascended and soon hit the top.

There was an invisible wall at the top, forming a solid ceiling.

Lin Moyu tried to strike the top with the scepter of calamity, but there was no reaction.

Afterward, he examined the cliffs; the cliffs were similarly solid and indestructible.

The entire space was like an inverted lid, trapping him inside, with the only exit being the wind tunnel.

But the wind tunnel only allowed entry and not exit; Lin Moyu knew he had no way to go against the flow.

After searching around and discovering no other way out, his gaze focused on the mist.

Watching a large number of light spots fly into the mist and vanish, Lin Moyu muttered to himself, "I have no choice but to go down and see."

A hint of unease welled up in his heart. Lin Moyu knew that after going down, perhaps uncontrollable things might happen, but he had no choice but to go down.

It seemed that after entering the wind tunnel, things began to get a bit out of control.

Flying into the mist, the soul gem bloomed with an even brighter light, dispersing all the mist around him.

From this, it was evident that the mist could also harm the soul body; otherwise, it would not have triggered the reaction of the soul gem.

The area covered by the mist was very large, and Lin Moyu flew for a long time before passing through it.
