Chapter 14: Lotus Pond Encounter (Part 3)
Lin Fan was stunned; he had always prided himself on his extraordinary composure, but the scene before him made him feel a trace of unease.
He coughed, attempting to divert his attention: "Fairy, it is not that I do not believe you, it is just… my relationship within the Xuanyin Qin Sect is too delicate…"
"Oh, no matter how complex the relationship is, nothing is more important than you."
Fairy Youyue smiled slightly, released Lin Fan's hand, then leaned down to look him in the eye.
Those snow-white jade rabbits revealed a silhouette like moonlight, making one gulp.
Lin Fan's throat went dry; he tried to say something, but found himself speechless.
He had intended to retort, but softened under Fairy Youyue's autumn-water-bright eyes.
"Fine," Lin Fan sighed, finally compromising.
The smile on Fairy Youyue's face blossomed like a flower, and a gleam of triumph flashed in her eyes.
"That is more like it! Rest assured, this big sister will not let you suffer any losses."
Lin Fan lowered his head and remained silent, feeling like a greenhorn just starting out, completely handled by this experienced and imposing Fairy Youyue.
He understood in his heart that no matter what Fairy Youyue said or did, her ultimate goal was only one: to make him join the Xuanyin Qin Sect.
The key was, such a Fairy Youyue was simply too hot to handle!
Whether it was her exquisite figure, her picturesque face, or the mature charm and faint allure she exuded with every gesture, to Lin Fan, this hot-blooded young man full of vigor, she was completely irresistible!
"If this were anyone else, they would probably have already become a simping dog," Lin Fan muttered to himself.
Yet, he felt a helpless, sweet resignation toward this situation, even enjoying this subtle "being handled."
Fairy Youyue seemed to perceive Lin Fan's inner struggle; the corners of her mouth curled slightly, revealing a meaningful smile: "Lin Fan, what are you thinking about? You don't have to be this nervous, right?"
"N-nothing!" Lin Fan shook his head rapidly, trying to hide his panic, but his ears quietly turned slightly red.
Seeing Lin Fan like this, Fairy Youyue knew the time was ripe.
She stood up gently and stretched, her figure in the night as elegant and moving as a wisp of flowing clouds.
"It is too late today," she said softly, her voice carrying a hint of relaxation, "Let us find a place to rest first. As for how to make you truly become a Dao-protecting Disciple, we will discuss it tomorrow."
Lin Fan looked up at Fairy Youyue, his gaze slightly dazed.
The night breeze brushed past, her long dress swaying gently, outlining her slender figure, as if even the moonlight was adding a touch of immortal charm to her.
"Okay." Lin Fan nodded, trying hard to suppress the strange emotions in his heart.
Seeing him agree, Fairy Youyue was secretly pleased, but she said calmly: "I do know of a hidden Immortal Cave not far from here. Although it is a bit simple, it has the advantage of being safe and will not be discovered by people from the Mirror Sect."
"Then let us go there."
The two walked one after another onto the night path; the night was cool, and the surroundings were so quiet that one could only hear the sound of the breeze blowing through the leaves.
Fairy Youyue walked in front with light steps, her skirt swaying slightly with her gait, emitting a faint, elusive fragrance.
Lin Fan followed behind, already dazed and infatuated by this scent.
The Immortal Cave was hidden deep in a dense forest, its entrance covered by vines, making it hard to notice if one was not careful.
After entering the Immortal Cave, Lin Fan discovered that it had a unique world inside.
The cave was clean and tidy, with several Spirit Stones embedded in the walls emitting a faint glow, making the whole space warm and bright.
In one corner of the cave, there was actually a small lotus pond; the pool water was clear to the bottom, with a few green lotus leaves floating on it, emitting a faint fragrance that calmed the mind.
"How is it? Not bad, right?"
"This place is quite quiet; it is indeed suitable for resting."
"There are two stone chambers here; you stay in the one on the left, and I will stay in the right. Rest early."
Lin Fan responded, but his heart felt somewhat strange.
Fairy Youyue's temperament and charm made it hard for him to ignore her; even if she said nothing, it seemed she could still stir his emotions.
After entering their respective stone chambers, Lin Fan lay on the cold stone bed, tossing and turning but unable to fall asleep.
In his mind, Fairy Youyue's graceful figure kept appearing; whether it was the tenderness she inadvertently revealed when looking up, or the elegance of her skirt slightly lifting when she turned, both made it hard for him to calm his heart.
"This woman is truly a natural enchantress."
Lin Fan sighed, feeling a surge of heat in his chest, as if a fire were burning.
He forced himself to close his eyes, but that beautiful figure became even clearer, making him feel somewhat inflamed with desire.
"This cannot go on." Lin Fan sat up, rubbed his temples, and his gaze fell on the lotus pond in the cave.
The pool water was cool and clear, shimmering with Spiritual Qi, seemingly able to suppress the restlessness in his heart.
Without a second thought, he stood up, took off his clothes, and jumped into the lotus pond wearing only a pair of shorts.
The cold pool water instantly enveloped his hot body, the lotus leaves floated gently, stirring up a few ripples.
Lin Fan let out a sigh of relief, feeling as if his whole person had been immersed in coolness, and even the chaotic thoughts in his mind gradually calmed down.
He leaned against the edge of the pool, looking up at the faintly glowing Spirit Stones on the cave ceiling, his heart complex.
Even immersed in this cool water, he could not help but picture Fairy Youyue in his mind—those lively eyes, that charming smile, and that dreamlike temperament…
"Sigh, I am already married to Wanqing, why am I still so spineless?"
Lin Fan smiled bitterly and shook his head, trying to splash cold water on his face to sober himself up.
However, this feeling seemed to be deep in his bones, impossible to shake off.
Lin Fan leaned against the edge of the pool, having thought the cold water could calm his inner restlessness, but he did not expect the water temperature to begin rising quietly.
Waves of heat surged from the bottom of the pool, the water instantly becoming warm and comfortable, and white mist gradually filled the surroundings, shrouding the entire lotus pond in a hazy atmosphere.
"Huh, why did this water suddenly get hot?"
Lin Fan was a bit surprised and looked down at the bottom of the pool, only to see several light patterns slowly emerging from the bottom, as if some kind of Formation was operating.
He raised his hand to touch the water surface and found the heat was moderate, neither too hot nor too cold, just right for relaxation.
Bubbles of hot air kept emerging from the bottom, making a slight "gurgling" sound, accompanied by a faint lotus fragrance, making one feel physically and mentally pleasant.
Lin Fan's tension gradually dissipated, and his original hot restlessness was also diluted by this comfortable water temperature.
He simply submerged his whole body in the pool water, leaving only his head exposed, and stretched his muscles and bones.
"This place is really not bad; it actually has a natural hot spring."
Lin Fan closed his eyes, feeling the hot water wrap around every inch of his skin; that warmth that penetrated to his heart made him somewhat unable to stop.
As time passed, the mist became thicker, and the lotus pond seemed to become a fairyland, where one could only vaguely see the lotus leaves floating gently in the blurry light and shadow.
Lin Fan's fatigue was gradually dispelled, and he was so relaxed he was almost falling asleep.
However, he did not know that the Formation of this lotus pond was not an ordinary hot spring Formation, but a Spiritual Qi nourishing Formation specially used by the owner of the Immortal Cave to Cultivate.
The Spiritual Qi in the pool water was continuously concentrated with the activation of the Formation, seeping into his skin like silk threads, nourishing his body.
This feeling was gentle and long-lasting, gradually causing Lin Fan's Qi to change quietly.
Just as Lin Fan was immersed in this comfort, Fairy Youyue in the other stone chamber suddenly frowned, as if she had sensed something.
She felt the fluctuation of Spiritual Qi in the Immortal Cave, was slightly stunned, and then a strange look flashed in her eyes.
"This kid… ran to the lotus pond?"
Fairy Youyue sighed softly, the corners of her mouth curling into a faint smile, "You really know how to increase the difficulty for me."
She stood up, put on her outer garment, pushed the door open, and walked out.
