Chapter 156: Strange Star Domain

Liu Mei smiled slightly; the smile was faint, but it possessed a bit more authenticity than before.

She put the token into her Storage Pouch and bowed, saying, "Thank you, Senior."

Chu Yuan nodded, said nothing more, turned around, and left.

Liu Mei stood where she was, gazing at the receding figure, and remained silent for a long time. Back on Suzaku Planet, the gap between her and Chu Yuan had not been this large.

But now, she was still struggling in the Mid-Stage Ascendant, merely an existence at the very bottom of the Thunder Immortal Hall, while he already stood at the Peak of the Luo Tian Star Domain, and even Hall Master Yan Leizi had to treat him with courtesy.

Those who once stood side-by-side with her had all been left far behind, one by one.

It really was the case; she was being left further and further behind.

She shook her head, slowly suppressing the complex emotions in her heart, and turned away.

On the other side, Chu Yuan did not linger there for long.

He found a vacant spot in the Void Realm all by himself, surrounded by neither stars nor dust, lonely as stagnant water.

With a wave of his hand, supreme magic power poured out. Spiritual energy surged, light flowed, and a towering palace slowly condensed in the Void Realm, with white jade steps, glazed tiles, and upturned eaves, possessing a magnificent Aura.

The palace hung in the Void Realm, and Chu Yuan casually set up a few Restrictions, counting it as a temporary residence.

For Liu Mei to be able to travel across the Star Domain vortex to reach Luo Tian with merely an Ascendant Stage cultivation, this matter was certainly unusual.

That vortex was likely completely different from the Star Domain vortex in the Tidal Abyss; the spatial power contained within it might not be that violent, perhaps even allowing Liu Mei to pass through safely before she had even achieved a Breakthrough to the Ascendant Stage.

If that were truly the case, there would be no need to wait another year; he could return to the Alliance Star Domain right now.

Chu Yuan took out the token, tapped it lightly with his fingertip, and projected his Divine Thought into it, turning the information into words: "Die'er, I have discovered a Star Domain vortex that might be able to directly connect Luo Tian and the Alliance. I am going to investigate it; stay at the Thunder Immortal Hall for a while."

The token vibrated slightly, and the message was delivered.

He put the token into his sleeve, moved his body, and transformed into a long rainbow, speeding towards the coordinates recorded in the Jade Slip.

In the Eastern Region of the Luo Tian Star Domain lay a silent, boundless starry sky.

There were no stars here, no meteorites, no light, only endless darkness and deathly silence.

A faint ripple spread through the space, and Chu Yuan stepped out from the Void Realm.

He closed his eyes and focused, his Divine Sense spreading out like a tide, silent and soundless, shrouding this area of the Void Realm.

Soon, he locked onto that Star Domain vortex.

With a flash of his figure, Chu Yuan appeared at the edge of the vortex.

A strong attractive force came from the depths of the vortex, pulling at his body, attempting to drag him into it.

That feeling was very familiar; back in the Land of Demon Spirits, the Star Domain vortex at the bottom of the Tidal Abyss had been just like this.

Just as deep, just as eerie, and just as capable of making one feel wary.

Chu Yuan's gaze narrowed slightly as he extended his Divine Sense, piercing through layers of twisted spatial power, attempting to glimpse the scene on the other side of the vortex.

The resistance was immense; the spatial power acted like an invisible wall, blocking his Divine Sense from the outside. Even with his cultivation at the Initial Stage of Jingnie, he could not penetrate very far.

But he could perceive that the other side was indeed a starry sky.

It was indeed a real Star Domain.

Chu Yuan withdrew his Divine Sense and frowned slightly.

According to what Liu Mei said, the other side was very likely the Alliance Star Domain.

But he dared not be one hundred percent certain; after all, the range of his Divine Sense exploration was truly limited, and he could not confirm whether it was a corner of the Alliance Star Domain or another strange Star Domain.

However, at least one thing was certain: this Star Domain vortex was connected, and the spatial power within it was not violent. With his cultivation, he should be able to cross it directly.

He hesitated no longer.

Radiant light bloomed around his body, and spiritual energy surged like a tide, wrapping his body in layers.

Chu Yuan transformed into a beam of light and charged straight into the Star Domain vortex.

With a flash of light, his figure was swallowed by the vortex, disappearing into the endless darkness.

Inside the vortex, starlight twisted, and space shifted.

Countless points of light streaked past him, like shooting stars flowing backward, brilliant and mesmerizing.

Chu Yuan allowed that force to guide his body, passing through layer after layer of spatial barriers.

He did not perceive any intense pressure, which was completely different from the perils he faced when crossing the Tidal Abyss.

The Star Domain vortex here was indeed much gentler.

Hum!!

Space suddenly trembled, and a strange force surged in from all directions, pushing him out of the vortex.

The suction force that had originally been pulling from behind to the front suddenly reversed, turning into a pushing force from the front to the back.

Chu Yuan's figure swayed, and he had already exited the vortex, standing in a strange starry sky.

He turned around, his gaze falling on the space rift that was gradually closing, and silently marked the coordinates of this place in his heart.

He raised his hand and tapped his glabella; a wisp of Divine Thought flew out from between his brows, silently merging into the Void Realm at the edge of the vortex.

Even if he could not find this place in the future, he would be able to perceive the direction by relying on this wisp of Divine Thought.

After finishing all this, Chu Yuan withdrew his gaze, and his Divine Sense spread out like mercury poured on the ground, shrouding this strange Star Domain.

The most urgent task was to find a cultivation planet or encounter a Cultivator to ask where this place was.

The Alliance Star Domain was vast and boundless, and Chu Yuan himself had not explored many regions; just by inspecting it like this, he really could not distinguish whether this was the Alliance Star Domain.

Moving his body, Chu Yuan transformed into a long rainbow, speeding towards the nearest cultivation planet perceived by his Divine Sense.

Endless starry sky.

The originally dim starry sky was permeated by a sheet of silver lightning.

The lightning was vast and endless, like a galaxy flowing through the Void Realm, winding and twisting, spanning hundreds of millions of miles.

The lightning surged, and electric snakes danced wildly, illuminating a small section of the Star Domain as bright as day.

Right outside this Lightning Galaxy, a team of Cultivators stood in the Void Realm.

There were about twenty of them, with varying levels of cultivation, ranging from the Infant Transformation Stage to the Ascendant Stage. Leading them was an old man with white hair and beard, wearing a cyan Daoist robe. He stood with his hands behind his back, his gaze burning as he stared at the lightning.

The people behind him stood solemnly, and no one spoke; only the roar of the lightning echoed in the Void Realm.

"To think that a Lightning Galaxy would appear here."

The old man spoke, his voice low but carrying undisguised excitement.

"I have already notified our Founding Ancestor; it will not be long before he arrives. This time, our Qingyue Sect will surely be the first sect to seize this lightning treasure!"

Before his words had faded, he suddenly frowned and abruptly turned his head to look at the distant Void Realm.

The space there fluctuated slightly, and everyone hurriedly looked in the direction of his gaze, their eyes full of anticipation. In their minds, whoever could cause a fluctuation in the Void Realm at this moment must be their Founding Ancestor.

But the figure that stepped out from the ripples was not the person they had imagined.

A black robe fluttered, with a cold, stern face and an indifferent gaze.

He just walked out from the Void Realm like that, with no spiritual energy fluctuations around his body. However, when his gaze swept over the crowd, everyone simultaneously felt an invisible oppression, as if a great mountain were pressing on their chests, making it difficult even to breathe.

That was the pressure naturally emitted, which he had not even deliberately released.
