Chapter 159: Is This a Doghouse?

"Employees who wear glasses and work in front of computers all day will definitely suffer eye damage, or even see their myopia worsen. This basically counts as a work-related injury."

"So, from now on, for all current staff, any eye-related illnesses will have all medical expenses reimbursed by the company, including medicines like eye drops."

"Also, for employees who are already nearsighted and want to get new glasses, the company will cover the cost. Furthermore, for employees who don't want to wear glasses and are planning to have surgery, the company will cover the surgical fees as well."

"Of course, you might need to rest for a period after the surgery, but rest assured, your positions will be kept open for you. There won't be any situation where someone else replaces you, so employees who are interested can go ahead and get the surgery with peace of mind. Your salaries will also be paid on time."

After Chen Mo finished speaking, he thought for a moment. Unable to come up with any more places to spend money, he left the employee workspace.

He left a crowd of employees sitting in their seats in shock.

Myopia counts as a work-related injury too?

That sounds even more outrageous than the cervical spondylosis mentioned just now!

If these words came from the mouth of any boss other than President Chen, they would think it was just empty promises.

But coming from President Chen, it was different. President Chen had always been a man of his word; all previous promises regarding benefits had been fulfilled, so they had no doubts.

"President Chen, aren't you going to stay a while longer?" Outside Cangxue Games, Fang Chang and Wei Yan saw President Chen to the door.

"No, I won't stay." Chen Mo waved his hand, feeling somewhat exhausted. He realized that every time he came to Cangxue Games, things never went smoothly.

He looked up at Fang Chang's glasses and said, "Are you really not planning to have the surgery?"

"President Chen, I don't have any plans for surgery at the moment." Fang Chang refused directly. Ever since they came out of the employee workspace, President Chen had been suggesting that he get the surgery, promising to keep his position for him.

But he refused without a second thought. His project was at a critical stage right now; how could he go get surgery and delay the game's progress?

"Fine then, just get a new pair of glasses." Chen Mo said halfway, then thought for a moment and changed his tone. "How about this: you find a decent optical shop and take all the nearsighted employees to get new glasses. Make sure to choose the best lenses for me."

Leaving Cangxue Games, Chen Mo didn't return to the Garment factory; he just had Yang Dahai drive him home.

Garment factory, Business Department office. Wu Yu sat in his chair with a miserable look on his face, looking at Li Shen opposite him and sighing.

"Brother Shen, what should we do? It's been a month, and our Business Department hasn't found a single agent."

"Take it slow. The Garment factory has just transformed, so there are bound to be difficulties in the beginning; that's unavoidable. President Chen even gave you a one-year minimum wage guarantee, so he clearly knows this."

"And don't worry. Once my short video account takes off, I can help you promote it in my videos to see if anyone is willing to be an agent." Li Shen said confidently.

"Then I'll have to trouble you to promote it, Brother Shen." Wu Yu thanked him.

"Why be so polite with me? We're all working for President Chen. By the way, the Mechanical Factory will deliver the machines to the factory tomorrow. Professional technicians will come to help with the installation and testing, which might take two days. They will need to stay overnight at our factory, and it just so happens that there are a few vacant Rooms in the employee dormitory."

"I need to go out and purchase a batch of fabric, so I'll have to trouble you to host them." Li Shen said slowly.

Now that the Garment factory had transformed, the fabric could no longer be as uniform as it was before; a wide variety was needed. The newly hired fashion designers had already sent him many requirements for fabrics, and he needed to go out and purchase them personally.

"Alright, Brother Shen, leave this matter to me." Hearing this, Wu Yu immediately agreed to the task.

"Good, then you go ahead with your work, I won't disturb you." After Li Shen finished speaking, he stood up and left, then went to the entrance of the new workshop to wait.

Just a short while ago, he had received a call from Pang Tao saying that President Chen had adopted a few more dogs and would be delivering them over in a while.

He already knew about President Chen adopting more dogs, after all, the dog kennels next to the new workshop had already been prepared.

Calling them dog kennels was a bit of a stretch; it would be better to call them doghouses. After all, what kind of dog kennel comes with a yard, a house with windows, and even bricks on the outside?

It was practically a rural courtyard shrunk down several times, the kind that had a row of houses connected together.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Pang Tao parked his car outside the new workshop, with a dozen or so dogs in the cargo bed.

Li Shen heard the car and walked out. Seeing Pang Tao had already stepped out of the vehicle, he greeted him, "Brother Tao."

"Have you been waiting long?" Pang Tao looked at Li Shen, who was greeting him, and replied with a smile.

"I just got here too. Let me help you." Seeing Pang Tao pulling a dog to the side of the car, Li Shen stepped forward to help.

Seeing this, Pang Tao quickly stopped him. "Let me do it. You aren't familiar with the dogs, and I'm afraid they might hurt you. Just show me the way; where are the doghouses?"

"Inside." Hearing this, Li Shen didn't insist. He led the way, finally stopping at the doghouses on the side of the workshop.

"Brother Tao, there are four doghouses in total. You decide how to arrange them." Pulling the dog, Pang Tao arrived in front of the doghouses and froze at the sight of them.

Is this a doghouse? Even the bungalow at his rescue station wasn't tiled with bricks, yet this doghouse had bricks on it.

Looking at the silly Labrador behind him, it really was true that silly dogs have silly fortunes.

Just as Pang Tao was putting the dogs into the doghouses one by one, Li Shen had already taken out his phone and started recording a video.

"Friends, our President Chen has adopted a few more dogs from the rescue station. And this is the accommodation President Chen prepared for these dogs. How is it? Isn't it luxurious?"

"Our Changfeng Garment Factory is a very warm-hearted enterprise, whether it's towards people or pets."

"…" Li Shen didn't stop recording until Pang Tao had put all the dogs into the doghouses. When he had time later, he would need to edit it before posting it.

Pang Tao casually closed the dog door and asked Li Shen curiously, "By the way, after you finished recording the video at our rescue station, did your traffic pick up?"

"It was very effective. Many people were attracted by those few videos. Some people even wanted to donate to the rescue station, but I refused them all." Li Shen said with a smile.

His main goal was to promote the Garment factory; if he accepted donations, the nature of it would change. It would easily lead to misunderstandings, and it wouldn't have a positive effect on the Garment factory's reputation.

"Refusing was the right thing to do." Pang Tao nodded in agreement. Their rescue station had accepted donations in the past, and only he knew the drawbacks.

Those who donated would constantly watch them, frequently suspecting that they had embezzled the donated funds. Even if they produced purchase receipts, it was useless.

People who don't trust you won't trust you no matter what you do. So later on, he refused donations and only accepted assistance in the form of supplies.
