Chapter 16: Astonishing Learning Speed

"System, activate Ou Yezi's smart core ai!"

Zhou Huai gave the command in his heart.

[Ding! Clone 'Myriad Forms Divine Craftsman · Ou Yezi' smart core ai System 1.0 has been activated!]

The cold System prompt tone rang out.

The next second, Zhou Huai felt himself being extracted from Ou Yezi's body.

Ou Yezi's eyes had a blank look for a split second.

Immediately afterwards, he started moving on his own!

Ou Yezi first stiffly moved his hands and feet, seeming to familiarize himself with this brand-new body.

He walked up to the forging platform and picked up the heavy forging hammer.

"Clang!"

He didn't hold the hammer steady, and it dropped directly onto the ground, producing a muffled sound.

Ou Yezi bent over and picked up the hammer somewhat clumsily.

He picked up a piece of red copper Ore and threw it into the forge.

He pulled the bellows.

Flames surged.

The entire process was filled with raw clumsiness.

When he clipped out the glowing red Ore and brought down the first hammer.

"Bang!"

Too much force!

The Ore was directly smashed into pieces, sparks flew everywhere, and a portion of the Materials was scrapped on the spot!

Zhou Huai shook his head repeatedly as he watched from the consciousness space.

It seemed this AI still needed some training.

Ou Yezi froze for a moment, seemingly analyzing the cause of the failure.

He silently cleaned up the scrapped Materials and took out another portion.

This time, his movements were obviously much steadier.

Hammering, shaping, Fusion.

Although it still had a somewhat rigid craftsmanship feel, the previous clumsiness was gone.

One hour later.

"Ding!"

The crisp striking sound rang out.

The first pair of gauntlets was successfully forged!

Ou Yezi picked up the gauntlets, and the attribute panel automatically surfaced.

[Apprentice Gauntlets]

[Quality: Fine ☆ (One-Star)]

[Rank: LV5]

[Physical Defense: +20]

[Stamina: +1]

[Durability: 50 / 50]

"Fine One-Star?" Zhou Huai nodded with satisfaction.

"Not bad, not bad. To be able to adapt so quickly, it already has half of my standard."

He yawned.

Continuously controlling the Clone for forging consumed quite a bit of mental energy.

"Next, I'设备'll leave it to the AI to play with slowly by itself."

Zhou Huai completely exited his consciousness and returned to his main body.

Uncle Fu had already prepared the meals.

After eating simply, Zhou Huai fell into a deep sleep.

On the other side.

Inside the exclusive forging room on the third floor of the Forging Guild.

Ou Yezi's forging did not stop for a single moment.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

The rhythmic striking sounds continuously transmitted from inside the door.

He was like an untiring machine, repeating the boring forging process over and over again.

But every hammering was more precise than the last.

Every step was more proficient than the last.

From crudeness to proficiency, and then to smooth and flowing.

On Ou Yezi's body, a calmness and focus that only a true Forging Master possessed gradually emanated.

Meanwhile.

Outside the door of the forging room.

Supervisor Shen Qiu paced back and forth anxiously with his hands behind his back.

He glanced at the tightly closed iron door from time to time, his brows furrowing tighter and tighter.

"It's already been five hours, why hasn't he come out yet?"

"Even for an S-Rank forger, forging a pair of Level 5 gauntlets shouldn't take this long, right?"

He began to mutter doubts in his heart.

Could it be that he misjudged?

Could that brat be intentionally bragging to scam resources from the Guild?

"Old Shen, what are you doing? It's already mealtime, why aren't you off work yet?"

Old Zhang walked up from the second floor swaying lazily, carrying a food box in his hand.

"Here, just packed from downstairs, want to eat a bit together?"

Supervisor Shen Qiu waved his hand and said with annoyance, "I can't eat!"

"You say, could that brat be playing me for a fool?"

Old Zhang was stunned: "Brother Ou Yezi? Impossible, right?"

"Those two Fine Two-Star longswords of his were the real deal; I watched him take them out with my own eyes."

"Besides, I was guarding outside at that time, and it really was his first time entering the forging room."

Supervisor Shen Qiu sighed: "Who knows."

"But it's been more than five hours with not a single sound; my heart is jumping up and down."

Old Zhang chuckled: "Supervisor, you shouldn't be more anxious than the emperor himself."

"Maybe they are brewing a big move inside?"

"Right, give me the bottom line, what grade of forger is Brother Ou Yezi anyway? Is he worth you personally guarding here?"

Supervisor Shen Qiu glared at him: "Don't ask what shouldn't be asked!"

"Besides, whether he is or not is still uncertain!"

Zhou Huai slept soundly through day and night.

When he opened his eyes again, the outside of the window was already dotted with stars.

"Ah, that was such a comfortable sleep."

He stretched lazily, immediately sinking his consciousness into Ou Yezi's body.

As soon as he connected.

"Hmm?"

Zhou Huai froze.

He saw that on the forging platform originally piled with Materials, a row of brand-new gauntlets was neatly placed at this moment!

A rough count showed a full nine pairs!

"Holy shit! Is the AI this fierce?"

Zhou Huai stepped forward and picked up the first pair of gauntlets.

[Apprentice Gauntlets]

[Quality: Fine ☆ (One-Star)]

Not bad.

Looking at the second pair again.

[Apprentice Gauntlets]

[Quality: Fine ☆☆ (Two-Star)]

"Awesome!"

The third pair was Fine Three-Star.

The fourth pair, Fine Four-Star!

The fifth pair, Fine Five-Star!

The more Zhou Huai looked, the more alarmed he became.

This AI's learning and evolution capabilities were simply monstrous!

When he picked up the seventh pair of gauntlets, his hand shook slightly.

[Apprentice Gauntlets]

[Quality: Rare ☆ (One-Star)]

[Rank: LV5]

[Physical Defense: +45]

[Stamina: +3]

[Agility: +2]

[Special Effect: Lightness (Passive) – Attack speed increased by 10%]

[Durability: 80 / 80]

"Rare Quality! And it even comes with a special effect!"

Zhou Huai's breathing grew a bit rapid.

The eighth pair, Rare One-Star!

The ninth pair, Rare Two-Star!

"My goodness!"

Zhou Huai looked at these nine pairs of gauntlets, especially the last three Rare Quality ones, and his eyes were glowing.

Nine forgings, a one hundred percent success rate!

Furthermore, the quality soared all the way up!

From Fine One-Star, it went all the way up to Rare Three-Star!

If this spread out, the entire forging circle would explode!

"The Myriad Forms Divine Craftsman's passive saved 30% of the Materials, and quite a lot is still left."

"However, it's enough for now."

Zhou Huai controlled Ou Yezi to slowly push open the door of the forging room.

"Creak——"

Outside the door.

Supervisor Shen Qiu and Old Zhang were chatting idly. Hearing the sound of the door opening, both of them looked over at the same time.

A stiff smile instantly piled onto Supervisor Shen Qiu's face, but his heart sank.

Coming out after so long, things looked grim.

"Mr. Ou Yezi, you… you've finally come out." Supervisor Shen Qiu gave a dry laugh, "Was the forging going smoothly? Didn't any mishaps happen?"

Ou Yezi's expression was calm as he reached out and pointed inside the forging room.

"The equipment has all been forged."

"Trouble Supervisor Shen to go inside and inspect."

"Good, good, good, it's only right, it's only right."

Supervisor Shen Qiu was being polite with his mouth, but in his heart, he held no hope anymore.

He stepped into the forging room.

The next second.

When he clearly saw the nine pairs of gauntlets emitting different glows neatly placed on the forging platform.

He froze in his tracks.

He rubbed his eyes, thinking his vision was blurring.

He carefully counted them.

A full nine pairs!

Furthermore, that luster! That texture!

In the end, he couldn't hold back anymore and blurted out a curse:

"What the fuck?"
