Chapter 162

He truly hoped that the human race could grow strong.

Lin Moyu was deeply moved. "I will do my best."

Xu Yan was very satisfied with Lin Moyu's answer. This was good.

Lin Moyu asked, "But why did you choose me?"

Xu Yan spoke with the pride of a God-level Mage, "I look down on those pieces of trash. Giving it to them would be a waste."

"I would rather these things rot here than give them to trash."

"However, there was a young girl a while ago who was quite decent. I was almost tempted then. Unfortunately, she came in as part of a team, so she fell just a bit short."

"Come to think of it, that young girl seems to share some resemblance with you."

Xu Yan sized up Lin Moyu. "Indeed, you two look quite alike."

Lin Moyu's heart stirred. "Senior, are you talking about her?"

Lin Moyu took out a photo, which showed a picture of himself and Lin Mohan.

Xu Yan said, "That's right, it's her. The girl's talent is very good, but she was still a bit lacking. So you two know each other."

"She's my sister," Lin Moyu said calmly.

He had obtained news of his sister here once again.

Knowing that his sister was safe, he felt at ease.

Perhaps they would meet when the Professionals Tournament came around.

Lin Moyu asked, "Senior, when you saw my sister, what level was she?"

Xu Yan said, "She was already level 35, but that was a few months ago. I don't know about now."

So fast!

Lin Moyu was greatly shocked. How could his sister's leveling speed be so fast?

Xu Yan continued, "Sometimes, level isn't important. Take you, for example. You're clearly only level 27, yet you can already solo-clear level 30 hell-difficulty Dungeons."

"Looking across the entire human race, you are absolutely unique in being able to do this."

"Moreover, your class is very special. Necromancer must be a newly emerged class; I never heard of it in my era."

"Your class and talent complement each other exceptionally well. I can tell that you should have an amplification-type talent. Your skeletons possess combat power that transcends their level attributes."

"Unfortunately, there is still a weakness: you are easily controlled."

"If you can awaken a related talent, or master corresponding anti-control skills…"

Xu Yan went on and on, saying a lot more.

He hadn't spoken for many years. This rare opportunity allowed him to say everything he hadn't said over all these years.

Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi listened attentively, without the slightest impatience.

They both knew that once they left, Xu Yan would no longer exist.

Leaving the Dungeon, Xu Yan could not survive.

Lin Moyu wanted to leave the Divine Flame Staff behind, but Xu Yan refused.

The Divine Flame Staff was already damaged, but it could still be repaired.

Once repaired, it would be a Legendary Weapon.

In the entire human race, there weren't many Legendary Weapons.

Having one more could increase their combat power by a fraction.

"Don't let it go to waste. My soul has fused into the staff, making it even stronger once it is repaired."

"Find a new master worthy of it."

This was Xu Yan's final request, and Lin Moyu agreed.

The two left the Dungeon with Xu Yan's wishes.

Ning Yiyi sighed softly, "Senior Xu dedicated his entire life to the human race."

Lin Moyu nodded. "It is precisely because of seniors like him, shedding their hot blood, that our human race can survive under the threat of the abyss."

"And I believe that our human race will grow stronger and stronger."

"Sooner or later, we will launch a counteroffensive against the abyss!"

"I… believe!"

Lin Moyu said the last sentence in his heart; he firmly believed this.

Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi appeared outside the Dungeon, attracting the attention of many people.

"They're out!"

"It seems they've cleared the Dungeon. Truly impressive."

"First, he solo-cleared the hell-difficulty Outpost Dungeon, shining brilliantly on the battlefield and surviving an attack from the Flame Demon King. Now he has cleared the Battlefield No. 3 Dungeon, also on hell difficulty. I really don't know how he does it."

"He has a great class, and they say he has a talent too. You can't help but be envious."

"Comparing ourselves to others only brings frustration. Is the gap between classes really that big?"

"Life-class Professionals say that all the time."

The gaze they directed at Lin Moyu was filled with admiration.

Among those who came to Battlefield No. 3, many had participated in the battles of Battlefield No. 1 and knew of Lin Moyu.

Lin Moyu's deeds had already been well-investigated.

Shi Xingan and his group had already come out and were waiting at their original spot.

Upon seeing Lin Moyu, they waved to him one after another.

As soon as Lin Moyu walked over, Shi Xingan handed him a skewer of grilled meat. "Come, come, tell us, how is hell difficulty?"

Lin Moyu said softly, "It's just like that, not much different from the Nightmare Dungeon."

He briefly explained a few of the differences.

Hearing that the boss in the hell-difficulty Dungeon was up to a hundred meters tall, Shi Xingan couldn't help but swallow hard.

He felt that if he were stepped on, he would be half-dead if not completely dead.

Not only him, but several of his teammates looked at each other, finding it rather terrifying.

Then they heard there was a second boss.

It could silence, control, and its magic shield was incredibly tough.

Shi Xingan completely abandoned any plans to attempt a clear.

He knew how to deal with this kind of boss; they just needed more than two Supports in the team standing apart.

They would just need to cleanse the negative status effects immediately.

But it was often hard to find Supports who coordinated that well.

"Let's just stick to nightmare honestly. Hell is not for us!"

Shi Xingan said, seemingly in self-deprecation.

Lin Moyu said softly, "If you need me for anything in the future, you can look for me."

Shi Xingan patted Lin Moyu's shoulder. "Of course! If I need help, I'll look for you right away."

"I feel like there isn't a single Dungeon in the world that you can't solo-clear."

Shi Xingan's words were half-joking, but he also knew that if there was a real need, Lin Moyu would naturally come and wouldn't refuse.

After chatting for a while, Shi Xingan suddenly asked, "Junior Lin, do you plan to continue farming the hell Dungeon?"

Lin Moyu shook his head. "No more farming. Yiyi and I are going into Battlefield No. 3 to hunt demons and earn military merits."

Ning Yan was no longer in the Dungeon, so Lin Moyu didn't want to enter again.

Moreover, Corpse Explosion couldn't be used in this Dungeon. While the experience was quite good for others, it wasn't the best leveling Dungeon for Lin Moyu.

It would be better to return to the academy's Dungeon Hall and find a suitable Dungeon to run.

The task Bai Yiyuan assigned him was to obtain Elemental Crystals and Demon Crystals.

He had already completed both.

He was in no hurry to go back and turn them in. Since he was already here, he might as well kill a few more demons.

Military merits were very useful; they could be used to access official facilities.

Furthermore, with higher military merits, one could raise their military rank and unlock more privileges.

After resting for a moment, Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi stood up and left to search for demons to hunt.

If they could encounter a Spatial Passage, that would be for the best; Lin Moyu could blow up another wave.

Such opportunities were hard to come by, after all, this was only Battlefield No. 3.

It wasn't like Battlefield No. 7 or No. 8, where there were more demons and military merits could be earned faster.

After Lin Moyu left, Shi Xingan and his group did not leave.

They rested while waiting for the Dungeon's cooldown to pass.

At their levels, killing some Man-Eaters was not a problem, but if they encountered groups of demons, it would be dangerous.

So they would rather wait here than joke with their lives in Battlefield No. 3.

Most people were just like them.

Those who could become Demon Hunters were either level 38 or 39 Professionals teaming up.

Or level 40 advanced Professionals who had completed their Second Class Transfer.

And even then, it wasn't absolutely safe.

Teams were often wiped out, and level 40 advanced Professionals were killed.

This was a place where the human race slaughtered Abyssal Demons, but also a place where Abyssal Demons feasted.

As Liang Yue watched the two disappear into the thick fog, she couldn't help but say softly,

"Junior Lin is really amazing, being able to hunt demons in Battlefield No. 3 at only level 27."

Shi Xingan whispered, "Being able to solo-clear a hell-difficulty Dungeon above his level, mere demons are naturally nothing to him."

"His skeletons are numerous and strong, with both warriors and mages. He's practically a one-man army."

Liang Yue naturally knew this, but she also sighed. "It's a pity, though, that his skeletons can't receive buffing statuses. Otherwise, they would be even more formidable."

They had all witnessed the previous battles; neither the Prophet nor the Legion Overlord could apply buffs to the skeletons.

Shi Xingan laughed, "They're already strong enough. If they could receive buffs on top of that, they'd be absolutely broken."

"I really feel pity for those in the same group as Junior Lin in the Professionals Tournament."

Lin Moyu was participating in the level 20 to 29 group.

In this group, Lin Moyu had no rivals.

Liang Yue laughed, "Thinking of those guys, they really are miserable. We absolutely can't miss Junior Lin's matches when the time comes. It will definitely be spectacular."

She laughed with schadenfreude.

The so-called 'spectacular' part was the spectacular expressions on others' faces after losing to Lin Moyu.

The more Liang Yue thought about it, the funnier she found it. She decided she must go watch Lin Moyu's matches when the time came, without missing a single one.

Having had their fill of food and drink, the group closed their eyes to rest, quietly waiting for the cooldown to end.

After a moment, a sudden light illuminated the sky.

Then, the buzzing sound of an alarm rang out.

Everyone was startled awake and turned their heads to look.
