Chapter 169: Meeting Zhang Yu Again!

"Hmph, don't be too arrogant."

A blue figure rushed onto the arena like lightning and landed opposite Hong Die, his robes fluttering as lightning flowed around him.

He was a young man with a cold face and a hint of arrogance between his brows. His cultivation had already reached the Late Stage of Yang Solid.

"This envoy has come to meet you."

He cupped his hands in greeting, his tone calm yet sharp. "Qi Mo. Please advise."

Hong Die raised her eyebrows slightly. The Late Stage of Yang Solid was indeed somewhat worth watching.

She snapped her fingers, and the Five Spirits roared, each revealing their true forms and pouncing toward Qi Mo together.

Qi Mo snorted coldly. "The Five Spirits are indeed powerful, but I, Qi Mo, am not one to sit and wait for death!"

He pinched a hand seal with one hand, and the lightning around him suddenly surged, turning into a churning sea of lightning that enveloped his entire body.

Electric snakes danced wildly and lightning exploded, dyeing that area of the Void Realm a dazzling silver-white.

"Immortal Spell, Lightning Descent!"

He let out a low shout. As the sea of lightning churned, a thick pillar of lightning shot out from his palm, carrying a world-destroying power as it blasted straight toward the Five Spirits.

Hong Die's expression remained unchanged. She raised her hand to pinch a seal, and the Five Spirits gathered, circling around her.

With a casual swipe of her hand, the sea-like lightning paused in front of her, then was drawn by an invisible force, reversing along its original path intact and howling toward Qi Mo.

"What?!"

Qi Mo's expression changed drastically. Seeing his own attack sent back the way it came, he had no time to think and could only block with all his might.

Crossing his hands in front of him, layers of lightning condensed into a barrier as he did his utmost to meet the backward-surging lightning.

Boom!

Lightning exploded, and electric snakes scattered in all directions.

Qi Mo groaned, his body flying backward. He slid several Zhang across the arena before stabilizing himself.

His robes were charred black by the lightning, his hair was disheveled, and his aura churned unstably. Although he had not been blasted off the arena, he was in an extremely miserable state.

He took a deep breath, suppressing his churning blood, and stared at Hong Die with a solemn gaze. "What a brilliant Immortal Spell, to actually be able to reverse my attack exactly as it was. Truly a great method."

"May I ask who Your Excellency's Master is, and which family's Disciple you are?"

In his view, such immortal arts and Divine Abilities, along with such strength and foundation, were not things that ordinary forces could Cultivate.

Hong Die curled her lip, her tone nonchalant. "It's none of your business which family I'm from. If you want to fight, then fight. I won't show any mercy."

Qi Mo snorted coldly, a sharp gleam flashing in his eyes. "Arrogant indeed. Although your Immortal Spell is strong, this envoy is not without a countermeasure—Immortal Entrapping Painting, out!"

He raised his hand and patted his sleeve, and an immortal painting flew out. It expanded in the wind to a size of a hundred Zhang, like a curtain that blotted out the sky, descending over Hong Die's head.

Rivers and mountains appeared within the painting, with runes faintly flowing, emitting a pressure that seemed to seal heaven and earth.

Hong Die remained unpanicked. She formed a hand seal with one hand, and the Five Spirits roared, weaving a five-colored barrier around her that blocked all the enveloping power of the Immortal Entrapping Painting outside.

The lights clashed, and spiritual energy surged. Her figure flickered within the painting, yet she was never truly trapped.

Within the Void Realm, Chu Yuan and the other two quietly materialized.

They had concealed their auras and floated several Zhang above the arena, like three phantoms blending into light and shadow. No one below the stage noticed them.

Shuo Leng stood by Chu Yuan's side. Her gaze fell upon Hong Die on the arena. After watching for a moment, she nodded slightly. "Is this the Disciple you mentioned? Her strength is decent, and her Physique is also good. But why don't I see any Magic Treasures?"

She turned her head to look at Chu Yuan, her eyes filled with a bit of playfulness.

"Are you, as her Master, really this stingy?"

Chu Yuan's tone was calm. "I have given her plenty of Magic Treasures. However, to deal with this person, there is no need for Magic Treasures."

His gaze fell upon the arena. Sure enough, just as he said, against Qi Mo, Hong Die had absolutely no need for Magic Treasures.

Hong Die sneered on the arena, her tone carrying a hint of ridicule. "Your Immortal Treasure is nothing special either. It's barely enough to trap ordinary Yang Solid cultivators. To deal with me, it's far too weak!"

She flipped her hand, and a red lotus rose from beneath her feet, its petals unfolding layer by layer, crimson as fire.

The Five Spirits burst forth with power together, merging into the lotus. The red lotus instantly transformed to a size of a thousand Zhang, hovering above the arena like a burning mountain.

Qi Mo's expression changed drastically. "What?!"

"Down you go."

Hong Die gave a soft shout, and the red lotus suddenly pressed down, crushing toward Qi Mo.

Qi Mo formed a seal, and the origin power around him erupted as he resisted with all his might. However, he was forcefully pushed off the edge of the arena by that majestic force, his body flipping several times in the air before barely stabilizing.

Many people on the sidelines watching this battle were incredibly astonished. Even Qi Mo had lost!

He was at the Late Stage of Yang Solid, not far from the true Second Step, while that woman was only at the Early Stage of Yang Solid. She had actually fought across two minor Realms to defeat Qi Mo!

What terrifying talent and strength.

Qi Mo landed on the ground with a complex expression, but he did not step forward again.

Hong Die had clearly held back. Otherwise, with this strike, he would definitely not have been just pushed off the arena so simply.

Qi Mo was not a sore loser. After stabilizing himself, he cupped his hands to Hong Die. "Thank you for showing mercy."

Hong Die nodded, raised her hand to retrieve the Five Spirits, and stretched. "No fun. I'm not fighting anymore."

She walked down the stage, her tone casual.

"I'm leaving, I'm leaving."

Obviously, she felt that this kind of battle was meaningless. Although her Realm was not very high, because of her Five Elements Body and her frequent Cultivation inside the chaos bead, her true strength far exceeded her own Realm.

Just as she was about to leave the edge of the arena, an attack shot out silently from the Void Realm, fast as lightning, aiming straight for her back.

Hong Die's eyes narrowed slightly. A blood-red jade token automatically flew out from her sleeve and hovered behind her, its spiritual light flowing as it blocked the attack in front of her.

Boom!

The aftershocks dispersed, and Hong Die retreated slightly. She retrieved the jade token, her gaze turning cold.

She turned her head to look at where the attack came from, her tone already carrying a hint of chilliness. "Who goes there? How dare you sneak attack me."

"Hmph, this seat was just looking for you!"

A figure broke through the air and arrived, hovering above the arena, his entire body emitting a cold and violent aura.

"I didn't expect you to actually dare to appear in the Thunder Immortal Hall. Today, this seat will grind your bones to ashes!"

Hong Die saw the newcomer clearly, her eyebrows raising slightly.

Wasn't this the person she had clashed with when they met in the Thunder Immortal Realm?

She remembered his aura very clearly. Seeing him now, the memories instantly flooded back.

The corners of her mouth slowly curled into a smile, which carried a hint of indifference.

"It's you."

Hong Die's tone was calm.

"I wondered who it was. Isn't this the person who was beaten by Master and fled in panic back in the Thunder Immortal Realm? What, do you want revenge?"

Zhang Yu gnashed his teeth, the cold light in his eyes like knives. "It seems you still remember. Where is your Master? This Zhang has engraved the hatred of that day in his heart!"
