Chapter 171: Yan Chenzi

Five beams of spiritual light intertwined and flowed within the formation, transforming into five invisible pillars that further reinforced the power of the Six Jia Qi Men formation.

Zhang Yu felt the surrounding pressure suddenly intensify, like an invisible mountain pressing heavily onto his shoulders, pinning him down so tightly that even breathing became laborious.

He gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, yet he remained unable to break free in the slightest.

The two millstones continued to rotate slowly, inching closer to him. With every rotation, the oppressive sensation grew heavier, and the space contracted accordingly, slowly devouring the room he had to maneuver.

Below the arena, it was silent as an abyss. No one spoke, and even breathing was kept extremely low; everyone's gaze was fixed on that figure.

No one had expected that a female at the Yang Solid Early Stage could suppress a Kuinie Stage Cultivator to the point of being unable to lift his head.

The gap in cultivation seemed like a thin sheet of paper at this moment, shattering with a gentle tear.

Someone gritted their teeth and clenched their fists, wanting to step forward to help—help whom? Naturally, it was to help Zhang Yu.

This was Thunder Immortal Hall. Even during such a critical period, the majesty of Thunder Immortal Hall could not be slighted.

But no one dared to move.

The clash between Hong Die and Zhang Yu was no longer a level that those below the arena could intervene in.

The pressure emanating from the arena was enough to make anyone with ill intentions shrink back.

Zhang Yu was trapped in the formation, lightning flickering around his body, his face alternating between pale and green. Like a caged beast, he roared hoarsely: "This is impossible! How could your strength grow so rapidly!"

"I refuse to accept this!"

Hong Die looked at him with an indifferent gaze, her tone flat: "Noisy."

Before her voice had faded, the millstones emitted a low hum and pressed down another inch.

Zhang Yu's body shook violently, and he spat out a mouthful of blood, his face instantly turning as pale as paper.

He gritted his teeth, his eye sockets turning blood-red, and finally roared out a sentence: "Master, help me!"

That roar pierced through the Restriction of the arena, pierced through the Void Realm, and spread to the heights above.

The moment his voice fell, the heavens and earth fell into a silence.

The wind stopped, the light dimmed, and even time seemed to slow down.

A majestic and heavy pressure poured down from the Void Realm, like an invisible mountain suddenly descending, shrouding the entire arena within it.

"Little Friend, to be so presumptuous within the territory of my Thunder Immortal Hall, are you not taking my Thunder Immortal Hall too lightly?"

The voice was unhurried.

"Given the special circumstances of this period, I shall suppress you for ten thousand years as a warning to others."

Before the voice had finished, that pressure locked onto Hong Die and pressed down heavily.

Hong Die's expression changed abruptly; that power far exceeded her limit of endurance—a Pure Nirvana Realm expert!

She had no time to think, and a blood-red jade tablet flew out from her sleeve on its own, hovering before her.

Crimson light burst forth instantly, shrouding her entire being within it.

That pressure slammed into the screen of light, sending out ripples like a giant boulder thrown into a lake, yet it never succeeded in piercing through.

"Oh?"

The old voice from the Void Realm carried a hint of surprise.

"This Immortal Treasure is not bad. However… it is merely that."

Just as he prepared to strike again, another voice descended from the higher Void Realm.

It carried an oppressive sensation even heavier and colder than the last, like an invisible sword piercing into this solidified heaven and earth.

"Your Excellency, to brazenly strike at my Disciple, is it… not taking this seat too lightly?"

The instant that voice fell, the Void Realm seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand and then squeezed violently.

Yan Chenzi felt as if the heaven and earth around him had suddenly lost control; the power of heaven and earth he had just invoked was forcibly taken over by a stronger, more tyrannical existence.

His figure was forcibly squeezed out from the Void Realm, and he stumbled a step, his expression changing abruptly, a flash of fear in his eyes.

"What! There is another expert!"

In the Void Realm, three figures had appeared, hovering above the arena, as if they had always been there but had gone unnoticed.

The person in the lead had black robes and black hair, and beside him stood a silver-haired, golden-eyed woman with her arms crossed, a hint of amusement in her brows as if watching a show.

On the other side stood a woman in white, her Aura restrained, appearing as if she were merely an ordinary person.

Yan Chenzi's gaze landed on the person in the lead, and his pupils contracted sharply.

He recognized this person; the Hall Master had personally issued an order that this person must absolutely not be provoked.

He hurriedly cupped his hands: "I am Elder Yan Chenzi of Thunder Immortal Hall. Greetings, Senior."

Chu Yuan did not reply.

He merely moved his fingers, and an overwhelmingly powerful pressure descended, instantly forcing Yan Chenzi's body to bend down.

The power seemed light, yet it was like a mountain, making even breathing difficult for him.

Chu Yuan's voice came from above.

"You just said… you wanted to suppress my Disciple for ten thousand years?"

Seeing Chu Yuan appear, Hong Die immediately felt at ease.

She leaped lightly and landed beside Chu Yuan: "Master!"

Chu Yuan glanced at her, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, and then his gaze returned to Yan Chenzi.

Hong Die did not ask any more questions, simply retreating quietly behind him, though her gaze curiously swept over the two people beside Chu Yuan—one with silver hair like frost and a tyrannical Aura; the other in white as snow, with stunning beauty.

Who are these two? Why have I never seen them before? Are they new friends Master has made?

Cold sweat poured down Yan Chenzi's forehead, and his back was already soaked: "Senior, I truly did not know that this young woman was your Disciple. Today's matter is merely a misunderstanding…"

Chu Yuan ignored his explanation, his gaze passing over him to land on Zhang Yu below the arena.

Zhang Yu's face was deathly pale, his entire body trembling, as if he sensed something; he wanted to speak but could not make a sound.

He did not know why his Master was so respectful to this person. Since returning from the last trip to the Thunder Immortal Realm, he had gone directly into seclusion. Having just come out of seclusion, he sensed Hong Die's Aura and immediately rushed over, completely unaware of the matter regarding Chu Yuan.

Chu Yuan's gaze lingered on him for a moment, and then a light breeze swept across the Void Realm.

The wind was extremely light, like the first warm breeze sweeping across a lake in spring, silent and traceless. Zhang Yu's body turned into fly ash in the wind, disappearing along with his Primordial Spirit.

Yan Chenzi was astonished in his heart: This Immortal Treasure technique, Calling Wind?

How could Chu Yuan know Calling Wind?

Although he was furious, he dared not harbor the slightest intention of resisting.

The Hall Master's warning still rang in his ears; if he were the slightest bit careless now, he feared he would not fare well himself.

Chu Yuan's gaze returned to Yan Chenzi, a flash of coldness in his eyes, and he was about to raise his hand.

"Fellow Daoist Chu, please show mercy."

A voice came from afar, unhurried, yet carrying a hint of perfectly timed moderation.

Chu Yuan turned his head; the person who had arrived was none other than Hall Master Yan Leizi.

He strode through the air, his expression calm, his gaze sweeping around the arena, taking in everything that had just happened.

He landed before Chu Yuan and cupped his hands: "Fellow Daoist, this matter was Yan Chenzi's rashness. Those who do not know are not to blame; please, for my sake, spare him this once."
