Chapter 182: The Ultimate Trial Grounds (Part 3)

Su Wanqing stood before the eighth gate, holding her breath and focusing her mind.

The Void Gate before her seemed completely isolated from its surroundings, without a trace of fluctuation.

She gently raised her hand, wanting to touch it, but the gate remained tightly shut, showing no reaction at all.

Her heart sank as she realized there was still a gap between her and the Realm of Void Power, and she stepped back with a hint of regret.

She slowly walked toward the seventh gate, where the radiance of stars emerged, resembling the twinkling stars in the night sky.

Su Wanqing tried to approach, feeling a vast Star Power.

However, when she placed her hand against the surface, it was like touching an invisible barrier; the starlight fluctuated for a moment before returning to stillness.

She sighed, understanding that she could not yet reach the Star Power.

Next, she turned and came to the sixth gate. The power of True Essence emanated from before the gate, heavy and pure.

She tried to gently press her hand against the gate, yet it did not budge, and the power of True Essence seemed unable to merge with her.

She frowned, feeling a trace of disappointment, knowing she had not yet reached the cultivation level of True Essence.

She walked slowly to the fifth gate, where the aura of Soul Power permeated the air, dark and profound.

She focused, closed her eyes to sense it for a moment, and then placed her hand against the surface.

Yet, upon her touch, the surface of the gate only flashed with a faint glimmer before falling silent once more.

Su Wanqing felt that her connection to Soul Power remained weak.

Carrying a bit of unwillingness, she came to the fourth gate. The aura of Divine Power fluctuated faintly before the gate, as if waiting for the touch of a powerful will.

Fighting spirit ignited in her heart, and she pressed against the surface with all her might, but a powerful sense of oppression from the gate pushed her back.

She shook her head, knowing she had not gained the recognition of Divine Power.

Su Wanqing walked step by step toward the third gate, her expression revealing a hint of exhaustion and disappointment.

She had originally been full of anticipation, but after hitting walls time and again, her heart was gradually filled with a sense of frustration, and her eyes lost their original luster.

Standing before the third gate, she no longer had the energy to try again, and only a sense of emptiness remained in her heart.

Immortal Qi diffused from the gate, serene and ethereal, but she had no heart to appreciate it at this moment.

She gave a bitter smile, and with a feeling of hopelessness, gently pressed her fingers against the surface, even prepared to pull her hand back.

However, the moment her fingertips touched the surface, a gentle aura quietly surrounded her, as if comforting her frustrated heart.

Su Wanqing was stunned, feeling the gate slowly open before her, and a surge of surprise welled up in her heart.

She had succeeded; she was finally able to step through the gate of Immortal Qi.

Su Wanqing stood before the Immortal Qi gate and turned back to look at Lin Fan with hope, "Bai Fan, I am going in first."

"Go ahead, we will follow shortly."

Upon receiving Lin Fan's response, Su Wanqing turned and stepped into the gate with peace of mind.

Her figure was gradually swallowed by the light, leaving only a faint lingering fragrance drifting at the entrance.

The others tried all the portals in turn, and in the end, without exception, they all stopped at the third gate of Immortal Qi.

When it was Cuier and Mu Xueyan's turn, the atmosphere also seemed exceptionally heavy.

Cuier walked forward slowly, carrying a bit of anticipation, yet also feeling somewhat uneasy.

She had originally thought she would be just like the others, only able to pass through the Immortal Qi gate, and that the previous gates were just for show.

She tried them one by one, and each time she touched one, she was already prepared for disappointment.

However, when her hand gently pressed against the fifth gate, that gate of Soul Power suddenly emitted a faint light.

It then slowly opened, and a steady power surged outward like a tide, carrying a faint aura of solemnity, surrounding Cuier.

Seeing this, the old man stroked his beard, a trace of approval appearing in his eyes, "Not bad, not bad! Finally, someone can open the gate of Soul Power."

Cuier was stunned for a moment, her heart filled with surprise and disbelief.

She looked back at Lin Fan, took a deep breath, steadied her mind, and then slowly stepped into the gate.

Now, only Lin Fan and Mu Xueyan remained on the scene.

Mu Xueyan slowly stepped forward, gripping her silver-white longsword tightly, her gaze cold as she looked at Lin Fan.

She cupped her hands slightly, her voice resolute.

"Young Master Bai, I will keep your life-saving grace in my heart. But I truly cannot associate with the Ghost Clan; in the end, our stances are different. Let us part ways here, and may we never meet again."

Having said that, she did not hesitate in the slightest, as if merely going through the motions, and walked straight to the eighth gate.

She raised her hand to touch the surface, and just as she was preparing to give up, that originally silent Void Gate slowly revealed a faint light.

The surrounding spatial fluctuations actually calmed down around her; an invisible power enveloped her figure, and the Void Power was extending an invitation to her.

Lin Fan watched, dumbfounded, and could not help but feel a complex emotion in his heart.

He had just become the Void Main God; wouldn't he have to see this shrew every day from now on?

Mu Xueyan seemed unaware of Lin Fan's shock; she proudly stepped into the Void Gate, her figure gradually disappearing into that boundless power.

The moment Mu Xueyan entered the Void Gate, Lin Fan's heart tightened abruptly.

He sensed that Mu Xueyan had actually appeared in the Void Abyss! That was the secret place he had always believed only he could enter, and where his true Dao form was placed.

"How is this possible? The Void Abyss actually allowed her to enter!" Lin Fan muttered in a low voice, his heart shocked.

"Xiao Du, should I move my Dao form to another place?" he transmitted his voice, appearing somewhat uneasy.

Xiao Du immediately comforted him, saying, "Do not worry, this place is very safe. Since she has been recognized by the Void Realm, she will naturally protect the Void Dao form and will not cause it any harm."

Lin Fan nodded reluctantly, "Alright!"

The old man on the side witnessed all of this and was so shocked that he couldn't speak for a moment, tears welling up in his eyes, "The Void Dao… finally someone can enter!"

His hands trembled slightly, and his face was full of excitement, as if he had seen long-lost hope.

He calmed down for a moment, then looked at Lin Fan, gently patted his shoulder, and comforted him:

"Young man, do not be discouraged. Even if you cannot enter the Void Gate, entering any other gate will also bring you a great Opportunity."

Lin Fan cupped his hands slightly to thank him and walked toward the Void Gate. The moment he stepped in, the Void Gate opened quietly, as simple as returning to his own front door, without even needing to knock.

The old man was dumbfounded, whispering excitedly in his heart, "Truly a match made in heaven… a match made in heaven."

Lin Fan entered the Void Abyss and looked around. At first glance, he saw Mu Xueyan being surrounded by a group of Void Creatures.

These creatures had bizarre forms and illusory figures, revealing undisguised malice, as if toying with a plaything.

He stood in the distance, arms crossed, watching with great interest, a hint of playful amusement at the corner of his mouth.

Mu Xueyan was completely unaware of Lin Fan's existence; in her eyes, she could only see those shadow-like, mist-like Void Creatures.

Every monster carried an extremely strong pressure, and their twisted forms and dark green eyes made her shiver; the vigilance deep within her heart was screaming about danger every single second.

She gripped the silver-white longsword in her hand tightly, ice and snow swirling around the blade, and instantly erupted with cold air; the overwhelming power of ice and snow surged out like a storm, temporarily forcing those monsters back.

However, the Void Creatures were not scared off; instead, they approached her with increasing excitement, as if stimulated by this intense aura to hunt.

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow and chuckled inwardly, "This ice beauty is quite interesting; she can actually stimulate these Void Creatures to be so excited."
