Chapter 184: One Sword, Azure Lotus; Suppressing a Powerful Enemy

Blood Wuhen's heart skipped a beat, sensing things were going south. He quickly wiped the smile from his face, forcing himself to stay calm as he said, "It's nothing. Your Excellency's Divine Might is peerless; I am truly impressed."

"Is that so?"

Ji Wutang gave him a nonchalant glance, as if looking at an ant by the side of the road.

"A mere ant like you is worthy of evaluating me?"

As the words fell, he didn't even draw his sword. He simply raised a finger casually and pointed at Blood Wuhen from across the air.

"Wind Shadow Slash."

An almost transparent azure wind blade instantly crossed through space, appearing right in front of Blood Wuhen.

The aura of an Imperial Rank Low Grade Cultivation Technique!

Blood Wuhen's pupils constricted sharply as a sense of fatal crisis enveloped his entire body.

Without a second thought, he immediately pushed his special Physique to its absolute limit.

"Mystic Heaven Demon Body!"

His skin turned a dark gold color, and countless profound Demon Runes surfaced on his body as his defense instantly skyrocketed to its peak.

At the same time, that Blood-colored Demon Banner appeared once more, blocking his path.

However, in the face of Ji Wutang's attack, all of this was as fragile as paper.

Riiip!

The azure wind blade tore through the Blood-colored Demon Banner with ease, then slashed across Blood Wuhen's chest.

The indestructible Mystic Heaven Demon Body couldn't even last for a single breath before the wind blade; it was instantly breached.

"Pfft!"

Blood Wuhen felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying backward. A terrifying wound, deep enough to see the bone, appeared on his chest, and the Sword Qi was still frantically destroying his life force.

One move, and he was heavily injured!

This was the strength of a Saint Realm 10th Level Prodigy from the Imperial Clan!

Blood Wuhen's eyes were filled with shock and terror. He finally understood how vast the gap was between himself and a true Prodigy like this.

If he didn't run now, he would truly die!

Without the slightest hesitation, he bit the tip of his tongue and spat out a mouthful of Essence Blood.

"Heavenly Demon Disintegration!"

Boom!

His body instantly exploded, transforming into a dense cloud of blood mist. At an incredible speed, he fled toward the horizon, vanishing without a trace in the blink of an eye.

Ji Wutang watched the direction in which Blood Wuhen had fled, his eyes showing no emotion. He didn't even have the interest to give chase.

"He runs quite fast."

He withdrew his gaze and let it fall once more upon the pale-faced Ji Wuming.

"Now, no one will disturb us."

"Tell me, my clan brother, how did you manage to provoke such a third-rate piece of trash?"

Ji Wutang's voice was full of contempt; he didn't care about Ji Wuming at all.

He looked down at him from above, his gaze like one looking at a pile of worthless mud.

Ji Wuming's face turned the color of pig liver, and his fists clenched until they cracked.

Humiliation!

Pure, unadulterated humiliation!

He would rather have fought a life-and-death battle with Blood Wuhen than be insulted like this by Ji Wutang for nothing.

"It's none of your business!"

Ji Wuming squeezed the words through his teeth.

"Heh."

Ji Wutang let out a cold laugh. "It is indeed none of my business. After all, I have no interest in understanding why ants swarm together or why waste gathers in piles."

His tone shifted, and his eyes became icy.

"However, the Emperor's Path Luck you carry is a waste on a piece of trash like you. Hand it over. For the sake of our shared clan, I'll let you live."

"In your dreams!"

Ji Wuming let out a furious roar, unable to hold back any longer. He transformed into a streak of blood-colored sword light and soared into the sky.

He pushed his Major Achievement Slaughter Sword Intent to its limit, unleashing his strongest killing move right from the start.

"You never learn. You're overestimating yourself."

Ji Wutang shook his head, his face remaining completely unfazed.

He simply extended two fingers and lightly pinched the blood-colored sword light.

Clink!

A crisp sound rang out.

Ji Wuming's seemingly unstoppable sword light was caught effortlessly between his fingers, unable to advance even a fraction of an inch.

"How is this possible!"

Ji Wuming's pupils shrank violently.

"A Concubine-born bastard will never understand the foundations of the Direct Line."

Ji Wutang's voice was indifferent as he applied a slight amount of pressure with his fingers.

Crack!

The sword light shattered inch by inch.

Ji Wutang took a step forward and instantly appeared before Ji Wuming, kicking him hard in the chest.

Pfft!

Ji Wuming spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying like a kite with its string cut, crashing heavily into the ground and creating a large pit.

In the next moment, Ji Wutang slowly descended and stepped on Ji Wuming's chest. As he applied pressure, the sound of bones shattering was clearly audible.

"You… you dare…"

Ji Wuming struggled, his eyes filled with bloodshot veins and resentment.

"Why wouldn't I dare?"

Ji Wutang looked down at him and sneered, "You're nothing but a Concubine-born low-life. Being allowed to live until today is already a gift from the Family. Now, give me your Luck. This is the only contribution you can make to the Family."

With that, he began to perform hand seals, preparing to forcibly extract Ji Wuming's Emperor's Path Luck.

Above Ji Wuming's head, a golden phantom of an emperor seal emerged, its light beginning to flicker unsteadily.

Despair surfaced in his eyes. Before the Prodigy of the Direct Line, he truly was still just that waste.

Just then.

A calm voice drifted over from not far away.

"Hold on. You can beat him up, but if you want to take his things, I don't agree."

Ji Wutang paused his movements and looked toward the source of the voice.

He saw a man and a woman slowly walking over.

The man was dressed in azure robes with a handsome face; it was Zhou Chen.

The woman was peerlessly beautiful with an ethereal temperament; it was Bei Nianyu.

When Ji Wuming saw Zhou Chen, a faint spark of hope flickered once more in his despairing eyes.

Ji Wutang scanned the two of them. When he saw that Zhou Chen's cultivation was only at the Saint Realm 8th Level, a look of disdain crossed his face.

"Another one looking for death."

He said coldly, "This is a private matter of the Imperial Clan. It's not something any random nobody can interfere in. Scram, or die."

Zhou Chen ignored him, simply looking at Ji Wuming who was pinned underfoot, and repeated himself.

"Let him go."

"Seeking death!"

Ji Wutang completely lost his patience.

With a wave of his hand, a sharp Sword Qi appeared out of thin air and slashed toward Zhou Chen's neck.

However, when that Sword Qi was still three feet away from Zhou Chen, it was crushed by another invisible Sword Intent.

From Zhou Chen's body, two distinctly different yet equally Perfected Sword Intents rose simultaneously.

Great River Sword Intent, vast and mighty!

Slaughter Sword Intent, staining the azure sky with blood!

"Two… two types of Perfection Sword Intent?!"

For the first time, Ji Wutang's expression changed.

"Now, can you let him go?"

Zhou Chen asked calmly.

"Interesting." Ji Wutang's gaze turned solemn. "But do you think you can act so insolently before me just because of this?"

As his voice fell, the terrifying aura of his Saint Realm 10th Level cultivation erupted fully. His Sword Intent transformed into a storm, sweeping outward.

Zhou Chen's expression remained unchanged.

He slowly raised his hand, pointing his fingers like a sword.

"Azure Lotus Sword Scripture, First Form."

"Azure Lotus Bloom."

In an instant, beneath the starry sky, countless phantoms of azure lotuses bloomed out of thin air.

Every azure lotus contained an ultimate sharpness. They were layered and endless, carrying an unmatched momentum as they pressed down toward Ji Wutang.

Ji Wutang's face changed drastically. The Sword Intent storm he took so much pride in was as fragile as paper before the sky full of azure lotuses.
