Chapter 186: Doubts Regarding the Dead Sea

The moment the five-colored light barrier shattered, the red dust formed by the broken stone cones around them suddenly flashed with red light. At this instant, there was no red light outside the Red-Haired Man's body. In fact, the Seals formed by the Divided Soul within him had also completely dissipated.

It could even be said that he had temporarily broken the Seal. His eyes flashed with an eerie light as he swiftly raised his hands upward, then fiercely tore them downward.

Immediately, a massive Rift appeared directly above his position. The gap was enormous, and the moment it appeared, wisps of gray mist drifted out from within.

Wang Lin was extremely familiar with this gray mist. He recognized it instantly: it was the thick layer of fog outside the Divine Sense Dead Sea.

At this moment, the surrounding red dust flashed with red light, instantly reforming into countless Divided Souls, rushing toward the Red-Haired Man. If these Divided Souls managed to latch onto him, everything he had done previously would be for naught.

The Red-Haired Man’s eyes revealed a trace of cold light. He absolutely would not allow these Divided Souls to Seal him again. After tearing open the Rift, he stretched out his right hand and shouted, “Tu Si is dead! In the name of Tuo Sen, I summon my clan’s Natal Artifact, the Star Destroyer Spear, appear!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a black spear, like a black Dragon, flashed abruptly from the gray mist within the Rift and appeared before him. The spear paused slightly but quickly landed in the Red-Haired Man's hand.

The moment the man gripped the spear, a heaven-shaking clap of thunder suddenly roared and echoed around them. Immediately afterward, the Heaven-Piercing Stone Cone beneath his feet instantly shattered piece by piece, turning into a pile of rubble that collapsed onto the ground, forming a small hill.

As for the man, his body remained floating in mid-air, his eyes flashing with arrogance. He completely ignored the rushing red light. With a sweep of the spear in his hand, all the incoming Divided Souls immediately came to a halt, forcibly blocked ten zhang away.

At the same time, the man, gripping the spear, leaped forward and rushed into the Rift. Just then, Duo Mu and the other ten people, especially the old man who had traded with Wang Lin, suddenly showed expressions of nervousness. Without exchanging words, they hurriedly jumped up and followed closely into the Rift.

As the old man passed Wang Lin, he glanced over and slightly nodded. Wang Lin retracted his Divine Sense, pondered briefly, and then suddenly moved, entering the Rift.

Similarly, the surviving Demonic Cultivators also followed without hesitation.

After entering the Rift, Wang Lin immediately realized that this place was simply outside the Sea of Consciousness. Below them was the circular Sea of Consciousness that Wang Lin had previously attempted to break into.

This Sea of Consciousness was split into two: half was the Blood Sea, and half was the Dead Sea.

Wang Lin's eyes flickered. He had been cautious ever since entering the Rift. He looked around and noticed that the positions of Duo Mu and the others subtly encircled the Red-Haired Man and himself.

The positioning was ingenious; if one didn't look closely, no clue would be apparent. However, having gone through many trials and tribulations, Wang Lin instantly saw the suspicious points.

His expression remained normal, but he sneered internally. First of all, Wang Lin didn't believe that Duo Mu and the others' little tricks hadn't revealed the slightest flaw over countless years, thus preventing Tuo Sen from noticing anything.

Even if Tuo Sen discovered it, none of this concerned Wang Lin. He now only wanted to enter the Divine Sense Dead Sea the moment it opened, and then rely on the portion of the Memory Legacy within his body to leave the Ancient God Land, which made him feel oppressed even when breathing.

The Red-Haired Man now stood above the Dead Sea, laughing wildly toward the sky. He roared, “Tu Si, you cannot trap me! Although I was merely a wisp of your Demonic Thought back then, since you are dead, this Legacy naturally belongs to me!” As he spoke, his face was ferocious, and he suddenly swung the spear in his hand downward.

Immediately, the gray mist outside the Divine Sense Dead Sea caved downward, revealing a horizontally extending gully. The surrounding fog churned and quickly rolled away to both sides.

This gully was extremely deep, its bottom invisible to the eye. Dull rumbling sounds slowly emanated from within the fog, as if someone were roaring inside.

“Tu Si, even our clan’s Natal Artifact, the God Destroyer Spear, has submitted to me! Only I am qualified to obtain your Legacy!” Tuo Sen shouted grimly, swinging the spear in his right hand again.

This time, it was a vertical gully, intersecting with the previous one to form a massive cross. At the center of the cross, a huge gap several dozen zhang wide was forcibly blasted open.

Following him, Duo Mu and the others, nervous internally, quickly followed. As for Wang Lin, his eyes flickered, and he also followed inside. At the same time, the surviving Demonic Cultivators all showed excitement in their eyes and rushed in with a howl.

The Red-Haired Man was at the very front. He glanced backward out of the corner of his eye, a sneer appearing at the corner of his mouth. Soon, he reached the bottom of the gray mist, where there was a layer of clouds, constantly flashing with streaks of purple lightning.

Without a word, the Red-Haired Man suddenly threw the spear forward. The spear instantly transformed into a ferocious Black Dragon, roaring as it charged ahead. In the blink of an eye, it drilled into the Clouds, causing thunder to rumble inside, and streaks of purple electric light bombarded down in rapid succession.

The Red-Haired Man did not pause at all, closely following the spear into the Purple Electric Lightning Clouds. Suddenly, endless Purple Lightning appeared from within the Clouds, all bombarding his body.

Under the bombardment of this purple electricity, a Lightning Circle formed outside Tuo Sen’s body. Yet, he showed no discomfort, instead bursting into wild laughter.

Wang Lin stared at the Red-Haired Man, his pupils slightly contracting. He clearly remembered that the Purple Lightning that appeared on Restriction Mountain in the second trial was exactly the same as the lightning here.

Wang Lin's eyes flickered, and his speed slowed slightly. But just then, the low voice of the old man he had traded with came from behind him: "Little friend, why have you stopped."

Wang Lin did not turn his head. In fact, ever since he left the Blood Sea, these ten old fellows had been subtly monitoring him, clearly trying to prevent him from suddenly changing his mind.

Now that his speed had only slowed slightly, the old man immediately came forward to question him. This showed how seriously they regarded the plan they were about to execute.

Wang Lin did not know why they had such strong confidence that they could ignore Tuo Sen's presence, but he had already made up his mind that leaving this place was his primary goal.

Inside the Lightning Orb, the Red-Haired Man formed strange Hand Seals with both hands and shouted, “Tu Si is dead! In the name of Tuo Sen, I summon my clan’s Lightning Artifact, Purple Moon, appear!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the Hand Seals in his hands immediately flew out and merged into the Clouds. Following this, the surrounding Clouds rapidly shrank, and the lightning diminished. Finally, the Clouds transformed into a crescent curved saber, which landed in the Red-Haired Man's hand.

After glancing at it, he opened his mouth and swallowed. The crescent curved saber immediately shrank and flew into his mouth.

Beneath the gray mist was the Purple Electricity Clouds, and beneath the Clouds was a dark, black ocean. This was the Dead Sea, formed by Ancient God Tu Si using half of his Divine Sense after splitting it in two!

He looked at the curved saber, his face showing excitement, and looked down at the black ocean beneath his feet, immediately rushing toward it.

The moment his body rushed out, a fierce roar suddenly erupted from within the Dead Sea. Following this, a creature ten thousand zhang long, neither Jiao nor Dragon, abruptly appeared from the Dead Sea. With its movement, the entire Dead Sea immediately stirred up waves.

Immediately after, the creature's massive head emerged from the Dead Sea, its grim gaze cautiously fixed on the Red-Haired Man.

Tuo Sen glanced at the creature, slightly frowning. He shouted in a deep voice, “You evil spawn, don’t you recognize me?”

The creature, tens of thousands of meters long, slowly writhed. The waves in the Dead Sea violently churned again. It stared at Tuo Sen and actually spoke human words.

“Tuo Sen, you are a wisp of Demonic Thought separated when Master practiced the Ink Stream Divided Soul Art. How could I forget you? If you hadn't suddenly attacked when Master's cultivation reached a crucial point, Master wouldn't have ultimately failed, wasted his Lifespan in vain, been unable to Cultivate again, and died in melancholy.”

Tuo Sen sneered coldly and said grimly, “What does any of this have to do with me? Tu Si was arrogant and presumptuous, attempting to Cultivate an impossible Divine Ability technique. If not for that, how could a Demonic Thought have been generated? From the moment he separated me from his Divine Sense, he had already abandoned me. But I must thank him; otherwise, the moment of his death would likely have been the moment of my dispersal!”

The creature’s eyes flashed with cold light, and it said, “Before Master died, he ordered me to guard outside the Memory Legacy. Without my permission, no one can enter the Legacy.”

“The Power Legacy has already been obtained by me! Now only the Memory Legacy remains. Tu Si’s memories are useless to me; I already know everything he knew. If not for the cursed Legacy Law Restriction, the only way to completely control the Power Legacy within my body is to obtain the complete Legacy. Why would I go through such trouble, or even be ambushed by him and trapped in that Blood Sea for so many years!” the Red-Haired Man roared, swinging the spear forward.

Immediately, a black Qi Vortex suddenly appeared. This vortex grew larger and larger, finally emitting a howling sound as it charged toward the creature.

Wang Lin watched the scene before him, a trace of doubt rising in his heart. If, as the creature tens of thousands of zhang long claimed, the Memory Legacy was guarded by it, then why did no danger occur when Heavenly Demon Rogue opened the passage to steal the Memory Legacy? Furthermore, there was no sign of this creature appearing even when the Memory Legacy was taken out.

Wang Lin looked down at the Dead Sea, his inner doubt deepening. He frowned slightly and discreetly activated the Ancient God Art, which was formed by the Memory Legacy within his Sea of Consciousness. According to the memories in the Legacy, anyone possessing the Memory Legacy could leave this place with a single thought, simply by circulating the Legacy within their Sea of Consciousness.

The creature, tens of thousands of zhang long, stared coldly at the Red-Haired Man, completely ignoring the howling vortex. Just as the vortex was about to hit its body, its head suddenly whipped out and struck the vortex.
