Chapter 192: A Lady Named Yun Fei

Within the inner Cultivation Devil Sea lies the Star-Shattering Chaos.

This is a vast, ring-shaped area composed of countless fragments of stone. The place is filled with a mysterious power. Whether entering from the outside or bursting out from within, one must face several Clones with cultivation equal to one's own, and only after defeating them can one pass through.

This place is unfathomably mysterious, and combined with the extreme danger within the ring, very few people ever come here. Gradually, it has become almost completely desolate.

On this day, two streaks of sword light flew rapidly from the distance, one following the other. The leading sword light was slightly dim, and within it, a young woman could be seen. She pressed her lips together, her face pale and bloodless. She wore a green gauze outfit with a red base, her waist was slender, and she was quite beautiful.

Standing on the sword light behind her was a middle-aged man. He had a square face, thick eyebrows, and eyes as large as bells. A cold sneer curled the corner of his mouth, and his eyes, gleaming with a cold light, were fixed tightly on the woman ahead.

The sword light beneath his feet was steady and unhurried; clearly, he was not pursuing at full strength. He stared at the woman, his gaze growing colder and colder.

The two streaks of sword light instantly approached from the distance. Looking at the Star-Shattering Chaos not far ahead, bitterness rose in the woman's heart. She had been fleeing for nearly a month. During this month, no matter where she fled, the person behind her would pursue relentlessly. If not for her using a Secret Technique from her sect to escape, she would have long since been caught.

However, relying on the Secret Technique to escape consumed too much spiritual power. After using it a few times, she was no longer able to cast it again. In her panic, she had not paid attention to her direction and had inadvertently arrived within the range of the Star-Shattering Chaos.

When she realized what had happened and wanted to change direction, the man behind her chased after her once again. With no other choice, she could only continue flying. Thus, in the course of the pursuit, the two of them drew closer and closer to the ring composed of stone fragments.

She understood in her heart that the man behind her clearly wasn't using his full strength, but rather, in a playful manner, was exerting endless pressure on her, forcing her to fly forward. The opponent must have calculated that she would not dare enter the Star-Shattering ring; thus, the closer she got to this ring, the greater the pressure in her heart would become.

Qian Kun pursued unhurriedly. He was determined to obtain the item in the woman's possession. If not for her peculiar methods of escape, he would have caught her long ago. But now, in her panic, she had actually entered the Star-Shattering Chaos; it could be said that even the heavens were helping him. Thinking of this, the smile at the corner of his mouth became even more sinister.

"Yun Fei, ahead lies the Star-Shattering Chaos. This Star-Shattering Chaos is notorious within the inner Cultivation Devil Sea. To this day, I have yet to hear of anyone who could pass through it by luck. Are you willing to give it a try?" Qian Kun's tone was gloomy, his voice drifting slowly forward.

The woman's face grew even paler, and waves of bitterness welled up in her heart. Five zhang away from the Star-Shattering Chaos, she tapped her feet, and her body suddenly stopped. She turned around to look at Qian Kun, a miserable expression on her face. Biting her lower lip, she said, "Senior Qian, this humble girl is a wretched person. Having luckily escaped from there this time, why must you push me into a corner?"

The corner of Qian Kun's mouth twitched. The Flying Sword beneath his feet stopped ten zhang away from the woman. He glanced at the Star-Shattering ring behind her and said with a mocking smile, "I am merely acting on orders. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for taking something you shouldn't have!"

The woman laughed miserably. She took a Jade Slip from the Storage Pouch in her bosom and looked at Qian Kun, saying in a low voice, "This was originally an item of my sect, so how could it be something I shouldn't have taken? Senior, there are still copies of this item within the Devil Palace. My taking it has no impact on the Devil Palace whatsoever."

Qian Kun's gaze landed on the Jade Slip, a hint of greed faintly appearing in his eyes. The mission he had received was originally to kill this woman and bring back the Jade Slip.

There was a Seal from the Devil Palace on this Jade Slip. Qian Kun knew that even if he got his hands on it, he would be unable to investigate it and could only turn it in. However, this woman named Yun Fei, whose status had previously been ambiguous, was someone who could view the contents of this Jade Slip; otherwise, she would not have had the Opportunity to steal it.

It was precisely because of this series of reasons that he had not delivered a fatal blow earlier, but instead had kept pressing her step by step!

Qian Kun said sinisterly, "Whether your taking this item has any impact on the Devil Palace, I do not know, but I do know that this item has a tremendous impact on me!"

The woman's expression turned resolute. She gritted her teeth and said, "Senior, please speak plainly. Do you want this humble one to make a copy of the contents within this Jade Slip?"

Qian Kun did not speak, but a hint of joy appeared in his eyes. He had long known that this Yun Fei was a descendant of the famous Qihuang Sect in the Cultivation Devil Sea back in the day. Although the Qihuang Sect was eventually destroyed overnight by a mysterious force, this woman had escaped the disaster by a stroke of luck.

Afterward, she was captured by people from the Devil Palace while holding the Jade Slip that recorded the formulas for several of the most precious Medicinal Pills of the Qihuang Sect. She endured humiliation and became one of the Palace Master's concubines. Now, after many years, she had finally found an Opportunity to escape with the Jade Slip.

Qian Kun was currently at the Core Formation Middle Stage. Although he was only a hair's breadth away from the Late Stage, his Aptitude was limited, and his Cultivation Technique was not superb. Consequently, he feared that in this lifetime, he would never be able to enter the Late Stage.

But if he could obtain this Jade Slip and refine Medicinal Pills according to the formulas within, then entering the Core Formation Late Stage would become possible.

The woman sighed inwardly. Without a word, she took out a blank Jade Slip and, after making the copy, stared at Qian Kun and said, "Senior, I have finished copying it. If you let me leave, then this Jade Slip is yours!"

Qian Kun laughed aloud and said, "Good. Bring the Jade Slip here. Once I have checked it and confirmed there are no errors, I will naturally let you leave." As he spoke, his body prepared to step forward.

"Stop!" the woman immediately cried out sharply. Her right hand gripped the Jade Slip; with just a burst of spiritual power, she could crush this imitation Jade Slip. At the same time, she retreated two zhang and stared at Qian Kun, saying, "Senior is already at the Core Formation Middle Stage, while this humble girl's cultivation has only just entered Core Formation. There is a gap of one Realm between us, so I must guard against the possibility of Senior going back on your word after obtaining the Jade Slip!"

Qian Kun frowned slightly. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he stared at the Jade Slip in the woman's hand. He stopped his footsteps and said slowly, "What do you mean?"

Yun Fei took a deep breath, her delicate mouth slightly open, and said, "I ask that Senior please retreat a thousand zhang away. I will certainly place this Jade Slip here. Once I have left, Senior can come and retrieve it. Otherwise, I will immediately crush this copied Jade Slip and then commit suicide. At that time, Senior will gain nothing at all!"

A sneer appeared at the corner of Qian Kun's mouth as he said, "What a joke. How would I know if your Jade Slip is genuine or fake? If you are trying to fool me, what then?"

At this moment, neither of them noticed that within the Star-Shattering ring, a space Rift over three zhang long had appeared in the sky, with waves of black light emanating from within.

Yun Fei's delicate eyebrows were tightly knitted, and she was just about to speak when Qian Kun's expression darkened. He continued, "I don't have time to tangle with you. Hand over the Jade Slip, and I will spare your life. Otherwise, don't blame me for being heartless. If I have to, I can just do without this Jade Slip!" As he spoke, he floated slowly toward the front.

A distance of ten zhang could normally be crossed in a flash, but Qian Kun moved slowly. He was afraid that if his movements were too fast, it would cause the other party to instinctively crush the Jade Slip, in which case he would truly gain nothing.

Yun Fei gritted her teeth again. She suddenly threw the Jade Slip in her hand to one side and immediately moved, speeding away in the opposite direction.

Qian Kun's body instantly turned. His figure was like a bolt of lightning as he rushed out, caught the Jade Slip, and probed it with his Divine Sense. His face immediately lit up with great joy. After laughing wildly a few times, he stared at Yun Fei, who was speeding away and had not yet escaped far. A lewd glint appeared in his eyes, and he immediately charged out to pursue her.

This time, his speed was significantly different from the previous pursuit, almost several times faster.

Although Yun Fei was speeding along, her Divine Sense had been secretly observing Qian Kun's actions. Seeing that he displayed a speed he had never shown throughout the journey when he chased after the Jade Slip, she felt something was wrong and quickly gritted her teeth to fly faster.

But soon, she became desperate. After obtaining the Jade Slip, Qian Kun did not keep his promise but instead chased after her.

"Qian Kun, even if I die, if you refine Medicinal Pills according to that Jade Slip, you will definitely meet a miserable end. All of this is of your own doing!" Yun Fei sneered in her heart, but soon she sighed and simply stopped, closed her eyes, and prepared to sever her own heart pulse.

Seeing that Yun Fei not only stopped running but gave up resisting, Qian Kun laughed aloud and flew rapidly forward, saying lewdly, "In consideration of your sensibility, I will let you die in comfort in a moment. Let me take a good look at what is so extraordinary about this body that makes its master so intoxicated. If you serve me well, perhaps I might really let you go…"

Qian Kun had just reached this point when suddenly his eyes bulged, staring straight into the Star-Shattering Chaos. An expression of disbelief appeared in his eyes, but it quickly turned into extreme terror.

Hearing Qian Kun's words cut off abruptly before he could finish, Yun Fei's attempt to sever her heart pulse immediately slowed. She opened her beautiful eyes and, at a glance, saw the strange phenomenon within the Star-Shattering Chaos. Her small mouth opened unconsciously, revealing a look of shock.

Within the Star-Shattering ring, a space Rift had appeared at some unknown time. This Rift was expanding rapidly at an extremely fast speed; in the blink of an eye, it had reached nearly fifty zhang. The Rift was arc-shaped, resembling a beast's mouth hanging in mid-air, making anyone who looked at it feel a chill rise from the depths of their heart.

It must be known that within the Cultivation Devil Sea, due to the barrier of flickering red mist and fissures between the inner and outer seas, a space Rift carries immense significance; people almost change color at the mere mention of it. Yet, even between the inner and outer seas, there were only some small fissures.

But what was displayed before Qian Kun and Yun Fei now was such a massive Rift. The appearance of this Rift immediately made Qian Kun feel his scalp tingle.

He almost immediately wanted to give up hunting down Yun Fei and flee from here quickly. As soon as this thought appeared, he immediately suppressed it. His eyes flickered as he stared at the stone ring. Feeling slightly reassured, he thought to himself that with this Star-Shattering ring as a barrier, even if there were something dangerous inside the Rift, it would be impossible for it to rush out, so there was really no need to flee like a stray dog.

Just at this moment, that Rift suddenly stopped spreading. Inside, flashes of strange black light flickered, and wisps of odd aura slowly emanated from within. Immediately after, a youth dressed in black walked out from within with a calm expression!

This person had a head of white hair that moved without wind, drifting behind his head, filled with an otherworldly aura. However, his eyes revealed a hidden ruthlessness, and if one looked closely, a wisp of gray light could be seen within them.

Most obvious of all was the deep purple star point at the center of his forehead. This star point emitted bursts of purple light, looking full of an eerie feeling. Coupled with the bursts of pitch-black light emanating from the massive space Rift behind him, he looked, at this moment, as if he were a god-demon walking out of Hell.

After this person walked out of the Rift, he didn't even look back. With a casual wave of his right hand behind him, the massive Rift immediately contracted rapidly. In the blink of an eye, it went from large to small, and finally vanished without a trace, leaving behind only that youth floating in mid-air, looking like a god-demon.

This person stood in mid-air, a trace of emotion in his eyes. After looking around, his gaze passed through the Star Fragment Ring and landed on Qian Kun and Yun Fei outside.

The moment the white-haired youth walked out of the Rift, Qian Kun immediately felt a sense of trepidation. Because the Star Fragment Ring blocked the space between them, his Divine Sense could not penetrate it, and thus he could not check the other's cultivation. But even if there were no Star Fragment Ring between them, Qian Kun still would not have dared to use his Divine Sense to probe the other person.

In his view, since this person could walk out of such a massive space Rift, his cultivation must have reached an unimaginable Realm, at the very least the Nascent Soul Stage, and perhaps this person had already reached the legendary Soul Transformation Stage.

Because of this, how could he dare to offend him?

More importantly, he always felt deep down that the scene before him seemed familiar, as if he had heard of it somewhere, but at this moment he couldn't remember where he had heard it.

At this moment, under the sweep of the white-haired youth's gaze, even though the Star Fragment Ring separated them, his legs still went soft, and his subconscious reaction was to flee, but he quickly forced himself to stop.

Qian Kun knew that if he fled now, once the other party truly had the ability to walk out of the Star Fragment Ring, catching up to him would only take an instant. Thus, running or not running made no difference, and it might even leave a deep impression on the other party.

Furthermore, if the other party could not walk out of this Star Fragment Ring, then he would be safe even if he didn't run.

Thinking this in his heart, Qian Kun stopped his steps. He hurriedly cupped his hands and respectfully said, "Junior Qian Kun, a fifth-generation Disciple under the Poison King Demon Palace, greets Senior."

Yun Fei's mind was racing with a thousand thoughts. She had just experienced life and death, and now she had seen a shocking scene. Her judgment was similar to Qian Kun's, except she thought that if she fled, the result would only be being caught by Qian Kun and meeting a dead end. But if she didn't leave, there might still be a glimmer of survival here.

Thinking of this, she hurriedly and respectfully said, "Junior Mo Yun, a surviving Disciple of the Qihuang Sect, greets Senior."

The white-haired youth coldly swept a glance at the two of them, then withdrew his gaze and looked at the Star Fragment Ring. After pondering for a moment, he patted the Storage Pouch at his waist with his right hand, and a palm-sized small beast immediately appeared in his hand.

This beast had three pairs of wings on its back, its eyes were clear, and it looked quite intelligent. After it appeared, it immediately flew up, and amidst the sound of flapping wings, it quickly flew toward the Star Fragment Ring. Soon, it entered the ring.

Immediately after, a piece of broken stone inside the Star Fragment Ring suddenly flashed with white light. When the white light disappeared, an identical small beast appeared.

As soon as the two beasts met, they immediately emitted sharp sound waves and attacked each other.

The white-haired youth frowned and watched for a while, then summoned with his right hand. The small beast's body immediately trembled, and its entire body transformed into a tiny Vortex hurricane. It flew out from the Star Fragment Ring, landed on his shoulder, and vanished without a trace under the touch of his right hand.

This white-haired youth was none other than Wang Lin. He had opened the passage to leave using a method from the memories of the Ancient God Tu Si, found in the place where his Legacy of memories was stored.

After walking out of the passage, he was in the inner ring of the Star Fragment Ring. To get out, he had to pass through this ring. Through the conversations of Duanmu Ji and others back then, Wang Lin already had some understanding of this Star Fragment Ring.

Actually, he had intended to leave using the same method he used to enter this place, but that Teleportation Formation was too complex, and in the memories of the Ancient God Tu Si, there was almost no understanding regarding Teleportation Formations.

In fact, if one thinks about it, it becomes clear. Given the power of Ancient Gods, there was really no need to move using a Teleportation Formation; they could simply tear open a black hole with a wave of their hand and travel through it.

Of course, it could not be ruled out that the Ancient God's memories actually should have contained knowledge about Teleportation Formations; otherwise, why would that magical Formation exist in the fourth level of the Ancient God Land?

If that were indeed the case, it would confirm Wang Lin's previous guess that the Ancient God memories he had absorbed were probably not absolutely complete.

However, these were all just Wang Lin's guesses; as for whether the facts were so, no one knew.

Wang Lin pondered for a moment, a trace of decisiveness appearing in his eyes. Without another word, his body moved with lightning speed, and he suddenly rushed into the Star Fragment Ring.

The instant he entered, although Qian Kun's expression remained respectful, his heart became tense. This was not the first time he had seen someone dare to break into this place. In fact, many years ago, he had seen a Nascent Soul Stage powerhouse from the Demon Palace break into this Star Fragment Ring, only to end up dead, with even his Nascent Soul unable to escape, swallowed by the mysterious power within the Star Fragment Ring.

At this moment, seeing someone break into the Star Fragment Ring again, his eyes immediately focused on it.

Yun Fei's nervousness was even greater than Qian Kun's. She now pinned all her hopes of avoiding being killed on that white-haired youth. In her mind, if the other party could rush out, Qian Kun would certainly not act rashly. If she then presented the Jade Slip to gain a chance to save her life, although she didn't know how likely that was, in any case, this was a turning point, and Yun Fei decided to give it a try!

As soon as Wang Lin's body entered the Star Fragment Ring, several stones within it immediately collided with each other. Amidst a flash of white light, a Clone identical to him appeared within the Star Fragment Ring.

After this Clone appeared, a sneer immediately appeared on the corner of its mouth. It patted its Storage Pouch with its right hand, and a black Flying Sword immediately flashed out. This Flying Sword had a strange shape, covered in barbs, and was clearly the highly toxic sword Wang Lin had refined with the Poison King Cauldron.

Wang Lin swept a glance at that Flying Sword. Deep down, he was quite impressed by the mysterious power of this Star Fragment Ring; it could actually even copy Magic Treasures, and even the slight crack that appeared on the Flying Sword after being struck by the demonized Meng Tuozi was replicated without omission.

This time, Wang Lin did not intend to fight it; his idea was to focus on testing.

After the Clone summoned the Flying Sword, with a whistle, that black Flying Sword instantly tore through the air. Wang Lin's mouth twitched slightly; he patted his Storage Pouch and also summoned his black poisonous sword.

Immediately, the two identical poisonous swords clashed together, attacking each other.

Immediately after, Wang Lin sneered in his heart. His extreme realm Divine Sense suddenly moved, transforming into a streak of red lightning that flashed across his eyes. At the same time, the Clone's eyes also flashed with red electric light.

At this moment, Wang Lin stared intently at the Clone, his expression grave. He saw that the red electric light in the Clone's eyes had only flashed a few times before its eyes immediately exploded with a bang, turning into a few broken stones that scattered to the side. At the same time, the Clone's entire body seemed unable to withstand the power of the red electric light and suddenly self-destructed.

Wang Lin's gaze flashed, and he immediately began to ponder. Although he had moved his extreme realm Divine Sense just now, he had not attacked; he was testing whether this Clone made of broken stones could even copy the extreme realm Divine Sense.

Now he could judge that although this Star Fragment Ring was mysterious, it was clearly unable to copy the extreme realm Divine Sense. A sneer appeared on the corner of Wang Lin's mouth, and his body suddenly strode forward, walking into the interior of this Star Fragment Ring.

According to what Wang Lin had previously heard from Duanmu Ji, the Star Fragment Ring was a total of one hundred miles. If one defeated the first Clone, one could walk out fifty miles. Fifty miles later, two Clones would appear, and after defeating them again, one could safely walk out another fifty miles, and thus pass through successfully.

Qian Kun's heart almost collapsed the moment the Clone died. The status of Wang Lin in his mind instantly soared to an unprecedented height. He had never expected that the Clone condensed from the mysterious power of the Star Fragment Ring would bizarrely explode on its own the moment it appeared. He could not imagine what astonishing mystery was hidden within.

Yun Fei's eyes revealed a strong glint of excitement as her beautiful eyes looked toward Wang Lin within the Star Fragment Ring, secretly calculating in her heart what way she could use to request the other party so that she would not be refused.

Wang Lin's body moved forward calmly, but just after he had walked ten miles, the surrounding broken stones suddenly flashed with dense white light. The white light flashed and vanished, and two Clones identical to him immediately appeared.

After these two Clones appeared, one of them summoned a Flying Sword, while the other actually took out a Scroll.

Wang Lin's expression remained as usual, but his heart sank. If Duanmu Ji hadn't lied, then it was because he had destroyed the previous Clone too easily, causing this place to undergo some changes.

However, Wang Lin's emotions did not fluctuate at all. His expression remained cold. The moment these two Clones appeared, his eyes suddenly flashed with red light, and his extreme realm Divine Sense was deployed once again.

This time, the two Clones were quite intelligent and did not immediately follow up by unleashing the extreme realm; instead, they quickly summoned their Magic Treasures.

Wang Lin's gaze flashed, and his body rushed forward without hesitation. He had already tested the extreme realm Divine Sense before; now, he was prepared to test what kind of power he possessed after obtaining the Ancient God Legacy and having his body undergo an Ancient God reconstruction!

Was his body, reconstructed like an Ancient God's, as powerful as it was in the memories of Tu Si?
