Chapter 1949

Perhaps only the Ghost Race still retained complete records.

That they had brought ten galaxies here showed they were clearly prepared to settle in the outer domain for the long term, and they likely also carried a mission assigned by a Heavenly Venerable.

Otherwise, Heavenly Venerable Shengfu wouldn't have asked him to look for them. The precise answer could only be known after finding the Ghost Race.

After resting for a moment and waiting for his soul power to recover, Lin Moyu took a step forward and vanished, heading in the direction the Ghost Race had departed back then.

Although more than eight hundred thousand years had passed, making tracking them this way very difficult, he had to try anyway.

Ten galaxies were not small in scale; they would inevitably leave traces in the starry sky, and their movement speed couldn't possibly be as fast as his. Lin Moyu felt he had a chance to catch up.

Advancing one billion kilometers with each step, Lin Moyu would stop and observe after every stride.

Although this would greatly reduce his efficiency, it would significantly increase his accuracy.

Lin Moyu tracked the Ghost Race using his own method.

Searching again and again, changing directions repeatedly, Lin Moyu felt he was getting closer and closer to the correct direction.

"When the Heavenly Venerable sent the Ghost Race to the outer domain back then, they must have opened a Space Gate. It's highly likely that Space Heavenly Venerable personally escorted them here."

"Otherwise, it would have been impossible for the Ghost Race to fly here while carrying ten galaxies."

The flight speed of stars might not even reach one percent of the speed of light. Flying from within the domain to this place would take at least a hundred million years.

Only Space Heavenly Venerable had the ability to transport the Ghost Race along with their galaxies to this location.

After arriving here, the Ghost Race's flight speed would inevitably drop drastically, which was why Lin Moyu was confident he could catch up.

Lin Moyu was very patient, tracking them year after year.

Finally, fifty years later, Lin Moyu completely determined the Ghost Race's direction and accelerated to rush over.

Over the past fifty years, Lin Moyu didn't know how many times he had changed directions or how many times he had used Time Reversal.

He discovered that the Ghost Race's direction of movement was not fixed. Every time they turned, they seemed to have a specific goal rather than turning at random.

From this, it could be inferred that they must have come here with a mission.

Another two years passed, and light finally appeared in the dim void.

It was the light of stars, coming from five light-years away.

After so many years, finally seeing starlight again made Lin Moyu feel a sense of familiarity.

The Starlight Law, which had been silent for a long time, also became active under the illumination of the stars.

"I finally found them!"

"What kind of mission is it that needs to last for over two million years?"

Lin Moyu breathed a sigh of relief. After so many years of searching, he had finally found the Ghost Race.

The Space Gate opened, and Lin Moyu instantly crossed four light-years. Then, stepping on the Law of Space, he advanced toward the stars.

As the distance closed, Lin Moyu gradually sensed that something was wrong.

During his first Time Reversal, the Ghost Race had ten galaxies and over twenty stars, with more than two stars in each galaxy.

Now, only six stars remained. Even if there was one star per galaxy, at most only six galaxies were left.

In the great wars over all these years, the Ghost Race seemed to have paid a heavy price as well.

Whoosh!

"The aura of the Boundary Sea!"

Over the years, Lin Moyu had used Time Reversal again and again, and many times he had seen the Ghost Race fighting strange fish from the Boundary Sea.

It seemed the Ghost Race had been hunting these strange fish all along.

This time was no exception; the Ghost Race was once again fighting the strange fish of the Boundary Sea.

Although only six stars remained, the Ghost Race's combat power was not reduced in the slightest, barely any weaker than what he had seen during Time Reversal.

As he drew closer, Lin Moyu's perception became clearer, sensing the auras of Saint Venerables and Half-step Supremes.

He could even feel a much more powerful force hidden within the core of the Ghost Race's stars.

Even he felt startled by this power.

Lin Moyu arrived silently and took in the battle situation.

The number of strange fish was around ten thousand. Most of them were in the Other Shore Realm, with a few Saint Venerables, though not many.

The strongest few strange fish were likely Half-step Supremes, not quite reaching the Supreme Realm.

The Ghost Race's combat power was on par with the strange fish. Their methods of attack were extremely bizarre and could cause significant damage to the fish.

If the fight continued, the Ghost Race would win, but they would also suffer casualties.

With a thought from Lin Moyu, the Undying Flame erupted, and twenty-five Skeleton Kings appeared in the starry sky.

In the next second, the Skeleton Kings charged into the fray. Each Skeleton King possessed the combat power of a Half-step Supreme, more than enough to crush the school of strange fish.

Chapter 2319: You Are the One We Have Been Waiting For

Upon the Skeleton Kings' appearance, the Ghost Race experts' first reaction was vigilance. They quickly gathered together and formed a defensive formation.

Not knowing whether the Skeleton Kings were friends or foes, they could only remain on guard first.

The strange fish seemed to possess no intelligence, continuing to launch attacks at the Ghost Race.

Charging into the battlefield, the Skeleton Kings strictly executed Lin Moyu's command, immediately rushing toward the school of strange fish and swinging their bone swords.

Sword light illuminated the starry sky as the Skeleton Kings simultaneously unleashed the God-Slaying Sword.

Their target was not just a single strange fish; each God-Slaying Sword targeted a hundred Other Shore Realm strange fish.

With a single strike, nearly one-third of the Other Shore Realm strange fish were slain.

Minced flesh flew everywhere, and broken fish bodies littered the space.

The Skeleton Kings completely dominated the school of strange fish in combat power. Their repeated attacks shattered the starry sky and shredded the strange fish.

The God-Slaying Sword was merely an appetizer. The Skeleton Kings charged deep into the school of strange fish and began a slaughter.

The scales of the strange fish could not withstand the sharpness of the bone swords at all, and they were quickly cut down.

The school of strange fish also abandoned their fight with the Ghost Race, turning collectively to attack the Skeleton Kings.

The pressure on the Ghost Race's side eased significantly, and they slowly retreated, moving away from the battlefield.

"Human race, Lin Moyu."

His voice was clear and resonant, echoing through the starry sky.

It was a voice of the soul; Lin Moyu knew they would be able to hear it.

The Ghost Race reacted immediately upon hearing the soul voice. Amidst the churning white mist, a voice rang out, "You have finally come."

"They knew I was coming."

"Could the Ghost Race also be related to the Mysterious Master?"

Amidst his chaotic thoughts, Lin Moyu drew closer to the Ghost Race.

Although he had seen the Ghost Race time and again through Time Reversal, seeing them with his own eyes was still different.

The Ghost Race was very unique. Their entire bodies were enveloped in mist, making them appear as if they had no physical form, or perhaps their physical bodies were hidden within the mist.

Even their planets were covered in layers of mist, making it impossible to see what was happening on them.

Even during battle, the mist remained thick, never revealing their true forms.

They were mist-like creatures, indeed bearing some resemblance to the ghosts of legends.

Lin Moyu arrived in front of them, stopping when he was ten thousand kilometers away from the Ghost Race, keeping a certain distance between them.

The mist within the Ghost Race churned endlessly. On one of the planets, a powerful aura was rising, as if someone was awakening.

Lin Moyu was in no hurry and waited quietly.

A moment later, a cloud of white mist flew out from the Ghost Race, condensing into a human silhouette. Following this, a voice sounded, "You have finally come."

It was another "You have finally come." Although the two sentences were identical, the meaning carried in their tones was vastly different.

The first carried a hint of surprise, while the second carried the sense of having waited for a very long time.

"Lin Moyu of the human race greets Senior."

"Ghost Race, You Jiu."

You Jiu's etiquette was very ancient, slightly different from Lin Moyu's.

It was a gesture from the ancient era, expressing a friendly intent.

"Senior knew I would come?"

"Master once said that someone would come looking for us."

"May I know who this Master you speak of is?"

"The Master of our Ghost Race is Soul Heavenly Venerable. He is our creator and our only Master."

"How did Soul Heavenly Venerable know I would come?"

"I do not know. We only follow Master's orders. Master said you would come, so you would definitely come."

"Could it be that Soul Heavenly Venerable also made arrangements?" Lin Moyu secretly wondered to himself,

thinking as he asked, "Then how can you be sure it is me?"

"Two million years, human race, Saint Venerable."

Time, identity, and realm—these three elements were more than enough to confirm Lin Moyu's identity.

Only now did Lin Moyu understand why Heavenly Venerable Shengfu wanted him to reach the Saint Venerable Realm before looking for the Ghost Race.

Clearly, Heavenly Venerable Shengfu knew what Soul Heavenly Venerable had done. Yet, at the same time, Lin Moyu found it strange. All this time, the only one who had left behind backup plans and firmly believed the Great World could still be saved was the Mysterious Master.

That Soul Heavenly Venerable should have also left the Great World, so how could he have left behind such a backup plan?

If he wanted to leave a backup plan, why did he leave himself?

The thoughts of the Heavenly Venerables seemed somewhat complex, and Lin Moyu couldn't figure it out for the moment.

While Lin Moyu was deep in thought, You Jiu spoke again, "We still need one more piece of evidence to prove your identity and confirm that you are indeed the person we have been waiting for."

"Please speak!"

"Master said that the person who comes possesses the World-Burning Fire!"

World-Burning Fire! Mysterious Master!

Lin Moyu suddenly realized. It wasn't Soul Heavenly Venerable's arrangement; in the end, it was still the Mysterious Master.

He guessed that the Mysterious Master had asked Soul Heavenly Venerable to do these things. Back then, only the Mysterious Master firmly believed that the Great World could still be saved.

This made sense. The various Heavenly Venerables all felt the Great World was beyond saving, so they left one after another. Other than leaving behind a bit of inheritance, they made no further arrangements.

Only the Mysterious Master would leave behind various arrangements, hoping to secure a sliver of hope for the Great World in the future.

Then again, those Heavenly Venerables didn't seem to have such immense power to make their arrangements last for millions of years while ensuring nothing went wrong.

While contemplating, Lin Moyu opened his palm, and a ball of flame ignited upon it, spreading a unique aura through the starry sky.

The World-Burning Fire was very unique, possessing many characteristics that other flames did not have.

It could refine worlds and possessed extremely powerful destructive force against souls; even a wisp of a soul left behind by a Heavenly Venerable would be burned to death by it.

The uniqueness of the World-Burning Fire made it virtually impossible to fake.

"Identity confirmed. You are indeed the person we have been waiting for. Please wait a moment for me to awaken!"

Within the Ghost Race, an even more powerful aura surged, and You Jiu's aura also grew progressively stronger.

Other Shore Realm… Saint Venerable Realm… Half-step Supreme.

Within just a few minutes, You Jiu's aura had already reached the Half-step Supreme level, but this was not the end.

His aura continued to climb; his awakening was still ongoing.

Lin Moyu was not surprised. He had previously sensed that there was an extremely powerful existence within the Ghost Race, one that could even pose a threat to him.

An existence that could make him feel threatened had to be at least a Supreme, and not just an ordinary Supreme.

Boom!
