Chapter 21: Nightingale’s Hope (Part 5)
The thrusters of the starfire c9 erupted with blazing blue flames, and the mecha shot straight into the sky like a meteor.
Lin Fan was fully focused, maneuvering the mecha to evade the suppression fire surrounding the mothership.
The mechanical arms on the flying mothership swung continuously, attempting to shoot down the starfire c9, but were easily dodged by Lin Fan's agile maneuvers.
On the mothership's deck, Nightingale stood gracefully in the command room, watching everything through the massive transparent screen.
The red wine in her hand swirled gently, as if she were enjoying a performance.
"Fire." Nightingale's red lips parted slightly, her voice ice-cold.
Instantly, the mothership unleashed barrages of laser cannons, weaving an impenetrable net that locked onto the trajectory of the starfire c9.
"You want to trap me?" Lin Fan sneered, his hands rapidly inputting commands into the control console.
The reactor in the starfire c9's chest erupted with even greater energy, its speed surging suddenly as it fluidly wove through the laser net, heading straight for the energy core area at the center of the mothership.
"Thunder, cover me! Everyone else, hold the defensive line!" Lin Fan's order was transmitted via the communication channel.
On the ground, Thunder and the other warriors were engaged in a fierce battle against the heavy mechanical warriors.
After knocking back an enemy with a punch, Thunder quickly looked up toward the sky.
"Received! Master, leave the ground to me; you focus on taking down that hunk of metal in the sky!"
Thunder roared, swung his high-frequency vibration blade, and charged back into the enemy ranks, blocking more of the incoming mechanical warriors.
Just as the starfire c9 approached the mothership's deck, a massive shadow suddenly emerged from beneath the hull.
A giant mechanical guard, even larger than the heavy warriors, stood up.
It stood ten meters tall, wielding two flaming rotating chainsaws, with scarlet eyes like some kind of absolute killing machine.
"Finally, a tough opponent has arrived." Lin Fan raised an eyebrow, his Battle Intent surging.
The giant mechanical guard let out a low roar, swinging its dual chainsaws like two storms of fire, slashing straight at the starfire c9.
Lin Fan maneuvered the mecha to retreat quickly, meeting the attack with his arm-mounted energy blades. When the two collided, dazzling sparks erupted, and the shockwave caused the entire deck to shake violently.
"This guy's strength is terrifying! The armor won't hold for long." Lin Fan gritted his teeth, his mind racing to think of a countermeasure.
He controlled the starfire c9 to dodge rapidly, while the chainsaws hacked into the mothership's deck repeatedly, sending countless metal fragments flying.
Seizing an opportunity, Lin Fan activated the shoulder-mounted plasma cannons and fired directly at the giant mechanical guard's joints.
"Boom!" With a loud explosion, a large hole was blown into the giant mechanical guard's right leg, and its movements instantly faltered.
Seizing this opening, Lin Fan controlled the starfire c9 to rush forward, crossed its arm-mounted energy blades, and thrust them fiercely into the giant guard's chest.
"End it!" Lin Fan muttered, activating maximum power to detonate the energy blades directly.
The explosion's flames engulfed the giant mechanical guard, its body disintegrating amidst violent tremors before it collapsed with a crash, slamming heavily onto the deck.
Lin Fan controlled the starfire c9 to stand in the center of the deck, staring directly at Nightingale in the command room.
"Nightingale, your game is over."
Nightingale laughed, her voice coming through the communication channel with a hint of disdain:
"Lin Fan, do you think this is the end? The real battle has only just begun."
A low rumbling suddenly echoed from within the mothership, as if some massive entity were awakening.
Lin Fan's expression shifted slightly; his intuition told him that an even greater crisis was silently approaching!
Lin Fan's nerves instantly tightened, the rumbling inside the mothership growing closer, each sound like some slumbering beast reviving.
He controlled the starfire c9 to retreat cautiously, its arm-mounted energy blades glowing, and its shoulder-mounted plasma cannons on standby.
The metal floor of the deck suddenly split open, and a blazing red light shot out from the fissure.
A mechanical monster, even larger than the previous giant mechanical guard, slowly rose up.
Its entire body was covered in black and red armor, its limbs thick and powerful, each step causing the deck to tremble incessantly.
A massive energy core was embedded in its chest, flashing with blinding red light.
"What the hell is this thing?" Lin Fan muttered to himself, his pupils contracting slightly.
Nightingale's voice rang out from the communication channel, filled with mockery: "Lin Fan, let me introduce you to the 'Judge,' my strongest killing machine."
"Its armor can absorb most energy attacks, and its power core is the Peak crystallization of technology on the Earth plane. Can you win against it?"
"Enough talk." Lin Fan said coldly, controlling the starfire c9 to leap into the air and lunge directly at the 'Judge.'
The Judge seemed to sense the threat, raising a giant mechanical arm and swinging it violently at the starfire c9 in mid-air.
Lin Fan quickly controlled the mecha to roll and dodge, and the Judge's mechanical arm slammed into the deck, creating a massive crater as fragments scattered everywhere.
Lin Fan aimed for the Judge's energy core, slashing down with his crossed arm-mounted energy blades.
However, just as the attack was about to hit, the armor on the Judge's chest suddenly opened, revealing a mirror-like device.
After Lin Fan's energy blades struck, not only did they fail to cause any damage, but they were instantly deflected.
"Damn it! It can even deflect attacks?" Lin Fan cursed under his breath and quickly increased the distance.
The core in the Judge's chest began to glow, and a red laser shot out suddenly, heading straight for the starfire c9.
Lin Fan urgently controlled the mecha to leap to the side, but the laser still grazed the mecha's right arm, kicking up a shower of sparks.
"Boss, do you need backup?" Thunder's voice came through the communication channel; he was leading the ground forces in a fierce clash against the mechanical warriors.
"No need!" Lin Fan said coldly. "Leave the ground to you all; I'll handle this guy myself!"
Lin Fan calmly analyzed the situation; this 'Judge' was not only heavily armored and powerful, but also possessed defensive deflection capabilities, so a head-on fight was clearly not going to work.
His eyes scanned the surroundings, and he suddenly noticed the energy supply pipes above the mothership.
"Looks like I'll have to use my brain." The corners of Lin Fan's mouth curled up slightly.
He controlled the starfire c9 to ascend rapidly, deliberately hovering within the Judge's attack range to lure it into continuing to fire lasers.
Sure enough, the Judge raised its head, and the laser from its chest fired again, piercing through the support frame on the mothership.
Taking this opportunity, Lin Fan moved rapidly above the energy pipes and fired fiercely at the pipe connection with his plasma cannons.
After the pipe ruptured, a massive amount of high-temperature energy liquid poured out, splashing onto the Judge's armor and making a violent hissing sound.
"Taste this!" Lin Fan seized the opportunity and thrust his arm-mounted energy blades with full force into the Judge's nape.
The Judge trembled violently, letting out a piercing roar, its red light flickering rapidly, and its movements becoming stiff.
Lin Fan retreated quickly; the 'Judge's' core, corroded by the high-temperature energy liquid, gradually went out of control, eventually erupting in a blinding red light before collapsing with a crash.
"Nightingale, it seems your 'Judge' isn't much after all." Lin Fan stood before the Judge's wreckage and said coldly.
Nightingale's slightly agitated voice came through the communication channel: "You are always so full of surprises. However, Lin Fan, do you think this is the end? This is only the beginning. We will meet again soon."
The communication cut off, and the mothership began to emit a piercing alarm, clearly entering a self-destruct countdown.
"Thunder! Everyone, evacuate!" Lin Fan quickly ordered, controlling the starfire c9 to lead the charge out of the mothership.
Explosions rang out one after another behind him, illuminating the night sky as if it were broad daylight.
