Chapter 218: A Journey to the Tianji Pavilion (Part 1)

Inside the Qimeng Courtyard of the Xuanyin Qin Sect, the air twisted slightly, and Lin Fan's figure quietly appeared.

He looked around and discovered that Lin Chen and the others had not yet returned. Thinking they must still be handling the handover matters between the two Sects, he sat cross-legged and waited quietly.

Time passed quietly, and he did not know how long it had been.

A faint low humming sound suddenly came from the horizon, and Lin Fan looked up.

The yunchi ship slowly descended, and several heroic figures stood at the front of the bridge; it was Lin Chen and the others.

When the yunchi ship landed steadily, Lin Chen waved her hand lightly, storing it into the nano cube, and the group stepped into the courtyard.

After a busy night, a hint of fatigue appeared on everyone's faces.

As soon as Lin Chen stepped into the courtyard, she saw Lin Fan sitting quietly in the pavilion. A flash of light immediately crossed her eyes, and she excitedly shouted, "You're here!"

Lin Fan looked at her and smiled slightly, but his expression immediately revealed a hint of difficulty. He said in a low voice, "Lin Chen, I've come to say goodbye to you. I need to take a trip to the Tianji Pavilion."

Lin Chen was stunned, and without hesitation, she said, "I'll go with you!"

Lin Fan shook his head and gently pacified her, "No, it's too dangerous. This time, stay at the Sect and wait for me. When I finish my business, I will come back to find you. Be good."

Lin Chen pouted slightly, her eyes showing some reluctance, "Alright… then you must come back quickly."

Just as Lin Fan finished pacifying Lin Chen, Princess Hu Qinlan, Princess Jin Xuan, and Yin Miaoxue crowded around, all of them with burning gazes.

Yin Miaoxue spoke up, "Young Master, you must take us with you this time. Is there any reason for an accompanying attendant to stay home every day?"

Princess Hu Qinlan mischievously chimed in, "Yes, you must take us with you. If you don't, we will go bother Lin Chen every day! Regardless, one of you two must be pestered by us."

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow, snorted coldly, and said indifferently, "Fine, if you want to follow, then follow. If you suffer from hardship or cold, don't blame me."

After speaking, he turned and walked toward the guest courtyard where Su Wanqing was staying.

Princess Hu Qinlan, Princess Jin Xuan, and Yin Miaoxue looked at each other and smiled tacitly.

The usually calm Yin Miaoxue actually took the lead to follow, and Princess Hu Qinlan and Princess Jin Xuan naturally were not willing to fall behind, following closely after.

Lin Chen stood in the back, shaking her head slightly. She felt a bit reluctant but understood Lin Fan's intentions.

If there really was danger, Lin Fan would be able to move more freely on his own; taking her would only increase his worries.

"Sister, I am going back to my room. I am really quite sleepy. Let those three troublemakers go and make a fuss."

Sect Master Qi Meng nodded and smiled, "Alright, go and rest."

Lin Chen walked lightly into the pavilion and arrived in her familiar bedroom.

In the morning light, the soft rays of the room enveloped her exquisite little bed. She raised her hand to pull back the quilt and lay down slowly, her figure graceful, her sleeping posture quiet and elegant.

"Young Master, wait for us! Lin Chen didn't chase after us!" Princess Hu Qinlan shouted from behind.

Lin Fan heard this and looked back. Indeed, Lin Chen had not chased after them. He couldn't help but let out a long sigh of relief, "It's good that she didn't come."

The three of them were running a bit out of breath, and the atmosphere was slightly relaxed. Princess Hu Qinlan asked curiously, "Young Master, why are you so afraid of Lin Chen following us?"

Lin Fan pondered for a moment and said frankly, "I can't say for sure, but I always feel that if she follows, there will be great danger… even I might not be able to protect her."

The three of them listened and couldn't help but believe it implicitly.

Last time, facing the world-destroying strike of the Sea God King, it was precisely because of Lin Fan's ability to foresee danger that he was able to lead everyone to successfully escape from a desperate situation.

Therefore, they never underestimated Lin Fan's intuition.

The group arrived at the guest courtyard together.

At this time, the dawn was just breaking, and the sky was clear. Su Wanqing was, as usual, sitting cross-legged in the courtyard, quietly comprehending the Heavenly Dao.

Her posture was dignified and elegant, as if she had merged with the surrounding nature.

The soft halo of the Heavenly Dao slowly rotated around her, like flowing rosy clouds, making her face appear even more beautiful and moving, her temperament calm and tranquil.

Su Wanqing sensed their arrival, slowly stood up, and teased, "You're here? I thought you were going to leave me hanging here as free labor for the Qin Sect."

"How could that be? It's only been a few days! I've already handled the matters. Let's go, to the Tianji Pavilion."

Su Wanqing gave a light shout, "Judge Lu, Zhao Xing."

"Subordinates are here!" The two appeared from the shadows, respectfully cupping their hands and standing.

"Pass down the order: in one hour, all members are to return to the Tianji Pavilion immediately."

"Yes!" The two quickly accepted the order, cupped their hands, and disappeared into the distance.

After the two left, Su Wanqing turned and teased, "How about it? Have you prepared a reason for going to the Tianji Pavilion?"

Lin Fan scratched his head helplessly, "Not yet. There are too many things to do, how could I have time to make up a reason."

"Haha! As expected, you didn't prepare at all. I've already prepared it for you."

Su Wanqing smiled with pursed lips and handed an exquisite jade tablet to Lin Fan.

"The Heavenly Mechanism Array has shown abnormal signs of collapse in recent years. Follow the methods on the jade tablet to operate it. Although it might not completely repair it, at least it can temporarily stabilize the array."

Lin Fan looked down at the jade tablet, revealing a surprised smile, "As expected, you are thoughtful. With you by my side, things are much easier to worry about."

Su Wanqing snorted lightly and continued, "I have really become your free labor. Here, change into this."

She took out a brand-new Tianji Pavilion robe from her Storage Pouch and handed it to Lin Fan.

Lin Fan took the robe and, upon closer inspection, couldn't help but be stunned.

This robe was completely different from the usual Tianji Pavilion attire, appearing exceptionally unique.

The robe was primarily a peculiar bright orange, and the fabric was embroidered with strange and complex runes using dark blue silk thread, faintly glowing.

Above the collar, several slightly glowing crystals were embedded, resembling small eyes.

Most notably, the waist of the robe was tied with a golden rope into an exaggerated, large bowknot, with several strings of bells hanging from the ends, making a crisp sound with the slightest movement.

The rune patterns embroidered on both sides of the hem were two exaggerated eyes, revealing a sense of comical majesty.

Su Wanqing raised her eyebrows triumphantly, "You said it, you asked me to sew it by hand. Now it's done, hurry and thank me!"

Lin Fan looked at this bizarre robe, his expression nearly collapsing, "Wanqing, you… you really put your heart into this, I don't even know how to thank you."

He struggled internally, but thinking that this was, after all, sewn by Su Wanqing herself, he really had no room to refuse, so he had to resign himself to changing into this one-of-a-kind robe.

After putting it on, Lin Fan looked at the bells swaying at the hem of his robe and glanced at the exaggerated bowknot at his waist, nearly wanting to immediately dash back into the room to change.

But when he looked up and saw the satisfied smile on Su Wanqing's face, he could only bite the bullet and accept it.
