Chapter 2318

This change was not within the predictions of the Deduction Rune; such a situation had not occurred during the previous deduction.

The thunder originated from the Dao, and Lin Moyu roughly understood what was happening; Jin Lei must have sensed danger and reacted instinctively.

The danger perception of those in the Great Dao Realm was incredibly powerful, making it difficult for Lin Moyu to get close.

With a flick of his finger, the World-Burning Fire appeared out of thin air, enveloping Jin Lei's Remnant Soul.

Jin Lei's Remnant Soul seemed to be stimulated, letting out a scream as the Thunder Dao simultaneously roared.

Countless bolts of lightning shot out from the Dao, striking Jin Lei's body and grinding away the World-Burning Fire.

The World-Burning Fire, which could burn the souls of Divine Pets to death, was unable to burn Jin Lei's Remnant Soul.

One in the Great Dao Realm could use their Dao to grind away the World-Burning Fire.

With even the World-Burning Fire proving ineffective, Lin Moyu found himself in a bit of a predicament.

At that moment, the soul gem on the scepter of calamity suddenly glowed, and an earthy yellow light flowed out like water, permeating Lin Moyu's entire soul.

The injuries his soul had just sustained were healed in an instant.

Lin Moyu understood the soul gem's intent; it had sensed Jin Lei's soul. This fellow, who usually wouldn't budge at all, had grown greedy for a taste.

Lin Moyu charged forward again, raising the scepter of calamity:

Jin Lei reacted once more, raising his hand to blast a bolt of lightning forward.

The soul gem on the scepter of calamity shimmered, protecting Lin Moyu's soul.

The thunder struck the soul, but the earthy yellow light formed by the soul gem continuously neutralized the lightning.

The earthy yellow light was very strong, capable of blocking the lightning of the Great Dao Realm.

However, the lightning carried a powerful impact, still making it difficult for Lin Moyu to get close.

The balance gem, which had never moved before, suddenly lit up.

Lin Moyu didn't know what the balance gem's actual use was; it was hard to deduce from the name alone.

This time, the balance gem suddenly moved, clearly being pulled along by the soul gem…

The balance gem released an invisible force, enveloping Lin Moyu and Jin Lei simultaneously.

In an instant, Lin Moyu felt the thunder striking him grow weaker.

Not only was the thunder weakening, but Jin Lei himself was also growing weaker.

Jin Lei's power rapidly plummeted below the Great Dao Realm, continuously dropping. In the blink of an eye, only the Dao Venerable 6th Realm remained, exactly the realm Lin Moyu currently occupied.

Jin Lei's current state was very bizarre; he was clearly still in the Great Dao Realm, yet the attacks he unleashed were only at the Dao Venerable 6th Realm level.

Lin Moyu finally understood the function of the balance gem; it was exactly as its name suggested: balance.

It balanced the enemy's power with his own realm.

If the enemy's power was higher than his own realm, then the enemy's power would be weakened until it was level with his own.

“The balance gem is truly heaven-defying!”

Sighing inwardly, Lin Moyu braved the lightning and smashed the scepter of calamity down.

The scepter of calamity struck Jin Lei's soul, causing him to scream in pain. His originally chaotic consciousness actually recovered at this moment.

Like a final radiance before death, his consciousness returned to clarity just before dying.

Lin Moyu suddenly had a thought; he really wanted to ask him why he had been stimulated into madness.

But it was too late; the soul gem activated, drawing his soul in.

Lin Moyu had no way to stop the soul gem.

Jin Lei kept murmuring, “This is impossible, this is impossible!” He seemed to know he was about to die.

Two seconds later, Jin Lei's soul was drained, and his life and Dao were extinguished.

The Thunder Dao vanished, and the thunder giants collapsed one after another.

The great battle finally drew to a close. In just under half a minute, more than half of the Undead Legion had collapsed, with casualties in the tens of billions.

This wasn't the kind of death where they could be resurrected; it was true death, with even the chances of the Undead being exhausted.

Faced with the thunder giants, the Undead Legion was vulnerable.

This was the gap in realms; it was a complete crushing defeat.

Lin Moyu summoned a Skeleton Divine General, followed by Spell Linkage, letting them replenish themselves automatically.

His consciousness returned to reality. The thunder chains in the Secret Realm had already vanished, and the entire Secret Realm was shaking, gradually collapsing.

Lin Moyu remained motionless, his eyes filled with thought as he reviewed the entire process just now.

“He clearly didn't want to fight the Outer Domain Celestial God, and he clearly knew he couldn't kill the opponent, yet because he feared the punishment of the Dao, he used his own power to forcibly imprison the Outer Domain Celestial God for countless years.”

“Firstly, he was waiting for someone to come and save him later, and secondly, he was also afraid the Outer Domain Celestial God would kill him. He never expected…”

Chapter 2881: No Need for So Much Nonsense

Jin Lei, this Great Dao Realm expert, never imagined that for countless years, no one would ever come to save him. The die was cast and irreversible; for that last glimmer of hope, he could only bite the bullet and endure. Here, it was quiet and lonely.

If he hadn't fallen, he could have comprehended the Dao; it wouldn't have mattered how many years passed.

But now, all his power was used to deal with the Outer Domain Celestial God.

Enduring year after year, the pressure he bore grew greater and greater. Under such circumstances, many would go mad.

As time passed, the Secret Realm finally revealed itself to the world.

Someone came, bringing a glimmer of hope.

But after the hope came an even greater disappointment.

Jin Lei learned of the changes in the outside world from the entrants, knowing what the Origin Continent had become. Hope turned into despair…

He knew that no one would come to help him anymore.

Countless years of persistence collapsed, and cracks began to appear in his Dao Heart, becoming uncontrollable.

When a person is in a state of collapse, they will seek any possible way to survive, even those in the Great Dao Realm are no exception. It is instinct.

Jin Lei finally found a possibility: if someone could kill the Outer Domain Celestial God, he could receive the Dao rewards along with them.

Through the Dao rewards, he could be reincarnated once more.

With his strength at the Great Dao Realm, if he were to be reincarnated, although the memories of this life would be wiped, he could use certain methods to seal his memories away.

Perhaps at some point, he could retrieve his memories and return to the Dao.

Although he had grasped a glimmer of hope, that hope was still incredibly faint.

Sometimes, seeing hope and then failing to obtain it is more despair-inducing than seeing no hope at all.

Jin Lei was like this; after seeing a glimmer of hope and then failing to grasp it, he had been constantly collapsing.

Later, others entered, yet they still failed to bring hope.

Until now, when he himself had arrived.

The hope Jin Lei saw suddenly appeared vividly before his eyes.

As long as he reached the Ninth Realm of Dao Venerable, he would be completely capable of slaying the Outer Domain Celestial God.

Even if he couldn't reach it, he could take the news out.

Perhaps he could find a powerful Dao Venerable who had comprehended the Illusory Dao to come and kill the Outer Domain Celestial God.

But he never expected that he would achieve it now, killing the Outer Domain Celestial God just like that.

Happiness came too suddenly, but after seeing his magic treasures, talents, techniques, and Dao, greed arose in Jin Lei's heart.

So he changed his original plan; he wanted to perform a soul possession.

With the help of the Dao rewards, he recovered a portion of his former power.

Blinded by greed, he underestimated him again and made a wrong decision.

If he had attacked him in the Real World after recovering his strength, he would have had no resistance.

But he entered his Soul World, which gave him the opportunity to counterattack.

During the battle, Jin Lei was restricted at every turn and could not gain any advantage.

The fact that a Great Dao Realm expert could do nothing against a mere Heavenly Venerate caused Jin Lei's conviction to nearly collapse.

Later, Jin Lei was stimulated again, and the pressure accumulated over countless years erupted all at once in that instant.

His Dao Heart collapsed; he went mad, truly losing his sanity.

Lin Moyu reviewed the entire battle and finally figured out the true reason why Jin Lei, a dignified Great Dao Realm existence, would go mad.

The collapse of the Dao Heart was the accumulation of long years.

After disappointment after disappointment, his Dao Heart was already riddled with holes.

And his final actions added more weight, causing him to be stimulated repeatedly until he finally collapsed.

Whether it was the two Origin Techniques in his Soul World, the World Tree, the ten-colored dragon soul crystal, or the eighteen Dao Patterns in his soul, they were all contributing factors.

But the final straw that truly broke the camel's back was that Gate of Hell within the Bone Hell.

Thinking back now, when Jin Lei saw the Gate of Hell, that expression of disbelief mixed with terror…

…was thought-provoking.

Until the very end, during his final radiance, he was still crying out that it was impossible.

Those four words, 'This is impossible,' became the final obsession in his heart.

After reviewing, Lin Moyu realized that his Bone Hell seemed quite unusual.

As a Great Dao Realm expert and an extremely ancient existence, Jin Lei must have known many things:

The fact that the Gate of Hell had stimulated him so severely meant it was no ordinary matter.

“There's a big secret inside the Gate of Hell.”

“What exactly happened in that great battle back then?”

“The Origin Continent went from nine continents to four, and the shenzhou cauldron was also lost; was it all because of that battle back then?”

Lin Moyu peeled back the layers, searching for answers within.

Ultimately, he found that his strength and realm were insufficient; he couldn't touch that level yet.

Even if he knew, there was nothing he could do.

“In the end, it still comes down to strength!”

Lin Moyu sighed softly, casting aside the thoughts he shouldn't be having.

Now, the Dao Patterns in his soul had all been successfully condensed; a full eighteen Dao Patterns were shimmering brightly.

He could step into the Dao Venerable Realm at any time.

A wind blew over, moist and very gentle.

Lin Moyu felt the aura of the Origin Continent and knew he had returned from the Secret Realm.

Opening his eyes, he saw the four Dao Venerables of the Jiang Family standing not far away.

Their auras were surging as they stood with their backs to him, seemingly protecting him.

Further away, some people were confronting them.

“The Yao Race!”

Confronting the Jiang Family Dao Venerables were six Yao Race Dao Venerables.

Among them, four were at the Dao Venerable 1st Realm, and two were at the Dao Venerate Second Realm.

The six Yao Race Dao Venerables looked almost identical, coming from the same lineage.

Lin Moyu had read information on the Yao Race and knew they belonged to the Silver-Patterned Snake-Rabbit Clan.

Thinking back now, when the Thunder Secret Treasury first appeared, the five Dao Venerables he killed were from the Silver-Patterned Snake-Rabbit Clan.

At the time, he had just killed them in passing and hadn't cared who they were at all.

Lin Moyu knew that while he was reviewing the battle, he had already left the Secret Realm.
